These are (of course) for the Bodybuilder meshes, the necessary meshes are contained in the RAR archives. The meshes are also in a separate RAR archive file for creators to link to. These meshes ARE NOT A DEFAULT NUDE REPLACEMENT, they will work only with this skintone by means of a soft-link in the skintone files itself. So to say it another way, No, your normal sims will not all be bodybuilders in the shower!

SPECIAL NOTICE TO NON-ENGLISH LANGUAGE VERSION USERS:
Some localised language versions of The Sims 2 do not use the true
nude state at any point in the game because of the national laws of
various states and nations (e.g., Thailand); these skins will not work
correctly on all versions of the game.  They have been tested and
shown to work on US English, UK English, and French language versions
of the game.  If you cannot get them to work on your native language
version of The Sims 2, there is NOTHING I can do to make them work
for you.

A potential solution is available: Naked4Thai v1.0 By tunaisafish - this is one of the lost files at SexySims2 so you will have to be creative to find it.

The mesh is not a skin mesh that you see as a clothing selection, but is used by the skintone under the shower or in any true nude state.

Feel free to recolour this in any way you see fit. Please link back to the original thread and give credit to Marvine and Beosboxboy (in that order).

p.s. and in the rar archive, I find many files with the same name... the computer asks me If I want the previously extracted file to be sobstituted with the one I'm trying to extract..what do I have to do?

You are doing nothing wrong.  The meshes with the skintones are for true nude states of the game (e.g., under the shower, taking a bath, etc.)  There are "invisible" clothes that can be made to allow walking around nude - this is simulated nude.

There are other meshes and clothing that are needed for the bodybuilder to be a bodybuilder in every day Sim life.  You will find them in the other sections of the forum.

I noticed that a couple of the skins have tattoos when selecting the icon with and without the tattoo but with the same skin color.  If this an error or is there something else different about the skins that I'm missing?

Raynus - the tattoo icons are for the skintones that have tattoos on them, the tattoo pattern is that used by Maxis for it's University EP outfits.

Scroll to the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.

Will the male Barbie skintones affect the females? I am using Warlok's default skintones for females and would hate to see them overridden.

Voyager7: The famale portion is maxis default, you are more than welcome to change the files to match your personal preference.

I have a problem... the files download okay but 4 out the 6 will not install as they are corupted..I erased them and redownloaded only to get the same problem... Have Sim2 CleanPack installer... ran the files through Norton and norton  says no virus, Ran Norton on my computer it is clean.... This is the first time this has happened and not sure how to fix.... Suspect the problem is AOL and my dial up connection... if that is the case... then It will have to wait til I move so I can get cable or broadband. Does any one else have any suggestions?

ehardy:  the whole internet has been screwing up the past week.  I am getting file corruption from known good files on my personal web server, which is in the same room as me and can see there is no problem when I use the intranet, only the Internet has the issue.  Give it a day or two and try again.  Maybe the top level domain problems will have been resolved by then.

I  suspected it was my internet connection...and one reason why I am not too thrilled with AOL, but til I move  I can not  change things... to make matters worse my Graphics card is going so I am going to have to fix that  before I can  continue playing the game.....

well yes - but it requires you make your own custom colours with his custom colours package.

I've downloaded all your great work for the body builder, and now the shower proof skins.
 
Now...I've got a problem...they get invisible when naked. The nude version functions perfectly (I have it as a underwear heheeh) but they get an invible body with head and penis when in the shower (funny, I know..but not what I intended). I have Derzicon's skins and I so wanted to be able to see my sims...
 
I know I must be missing a mesh - although I think I have them all - but witch one exactly??

I put them all in the downloads folder - not in a sub-folder like the ones I had - and now they work wonders. And I can see my sims, and the beautiful skins you people made for them !

I've tryed to aply the penis, from the links and simply it doesn't apear at the game and at the bodyshop also, i've been wondering if it was possible for you to lay me an hand on this cause realy do not kno anymore were to aply this "small" detaille that i really think will complement your beautifull work...

Another thing is more like a sudjestion actually, Why don't  you do a version with the Penis, cause really for some off us seeing a guy without is preciouse parts walking around in the house is somehow wierd and incomplete...

Pls. can you consider the optional download for this same mesh with penis or male anatomic parts...

hi, awsome work, i was wondering about the nude version as well, i have working nude clothing and genitalia for regular sims but it doesnt work with your bodybuilder type. do you have nude one for your bodybuilder type?

All the skins are compatible with all games, expect the rolled sleeves shirt mesh for the bodybuilder that may require OFB... You need to first make sure that you have the meshes for every outfit type and that the files were properly un-rared to your downloads folder; read the first post for every outfit you want in case there are further explanations - and also make sure that your custom content is enabled... I can't think of anything else. These files don't have anything special, they were made and work like any custom clothing.

ara pacis - what you can do to make them more "Pets Friendly" is start Body Shop and copy the files as new projects - this should enter the parts= and priority= information that Pets uses.

I was wondering if these bodybuilder meshes can be altered in Milkshape.  Maybe I missed the obvious, but I can't figure out which file to import or if I have to create it in Simpe.

I want to do with the bodybuilder mesh the same thing I did to the maxis mesh -- scale all the vertices individually by joint.  I tried a 0.7 scale mesh and a 1.5 scale mesh, and they both look pretty realistic, so I wanted to have a similar variety for the bodybuilder mesh.

Another thing I would like to do is find a way to morph the bodybuilder mesh and the maxis mesh.  I mean, take the maxis mesh and gradually morph it into the bodybuilder mesh, and export new meshes at 10%, 20%, etc.  That way I'd have different levels of muscularity too.  Does milkshape have a tool for this?

unfortunately no - the sort of morphing you are describing is something that would require a more sophisticate software like Poser (http://www.e-frontier.com/go/poser) - as you would make the stages - you would have to save the "magnets" which are morphing instructions.

If you do this in MilkShape 3D it will be labour intensive and not much fun.

Not wanting pee in your Cheerios, but it would have been nice if you asked permission to use Marvine & my meshes for your project :sad5:

There's a question I've been wanting to ask ever since I tried using these meshes in the game.  How do you get a "simulated nude" - so the sim will walk around naked while not in the shower.  Not that I want this - what I want is a bit more complicated, so let me explain.  I want my sim to be the same size and shape in regular clothes as he is in the shower.  But how do I do this?  I know it works fine if you create a sim in CAS, because you select all the oufits manually; but what if your sim has children who inherit his genetic skintone (imagine I have 50 different body shapes in my game, and all are inheritable through a linked skintone).  When the children grow up, I believe the game will select outfits for the sim automatically, and they won't necessarily pick the outfits that match the body shape the sim is supposed to inherit.  So he will look different in the shower than when in casual clothes.  This is what bugs me - children will inherit the genetic skintone and body shape, but they will not exhibit this trait outside the shower.  I know I could have them buy new outfits, but this will be difficult if I have the number of body shapes that I want to include, since some of them will be hard to tell apart.

I'm trying desperately to get around this problem.  I've researched, I've learned how to mesh, I've studied Simpe.  I have a feeling somebody out there knows how to do this, but I just can't find the answer.

I read a tutorial called "Theo's something or other" which taught me that you can link a hairstyle to a formal outfit, and this got me thinking about possiblities.  

I downloaded your wristwatches, and I thought it might be possible to link every category of outfit to the "face" only, and make an accessory the only part of an outfit.  Then you could make a "shirt" as an accessory mesh which overlays the nude mesh.  In this case, would the nude mesh show up underneath, or would it disappear?

This problem is driving me crazy.  The prospect of genetically determined body shapes would make the game so much better.  I've got all the stuff I need for it -meshes, linked skintones, etc - but the game just doesn't go with it.  Can you find the missing link?

cwurts - what you are asking simply isn't known at this time - EA/Maxis is in the middle of changing a massive portion of the game with regard to meshes even as we speak - the climate-linked clothing of the new Seasons EP.  So even if we had an answer, it would be worthless starting tomorrow for about 50% of the game players.

I know what you are aiming for, and I have walked this same path before you joined the community, and it simply isn't possible with the current understanding of the game.  I am not saying it is impossible, I am saying that there are still too many unknowns.  With the former variation of the game (The Sims) - we had the benefit of lots of insider information given to the community by a former top-level developer from Maxis; that has not occured this time around, so we are still playing guessing games and doing things by trial and error.

With Maxis/EA releasing a new EP every 6 months and Stuff Packs at irregular intervals, the custom content community is trapped in a cycle of recovery and catch-up.  If you make the breakthrough, it will be a miracle, just like every other discovery about the game's coding.

Wanted to add my much appreciated thanks for those skins.
But I'm pretty much new to all this, and have to ask a question...

I'm starting to get the idea that the "shower-proof" skins are the ones that show up on the "natural nude state".  I have Sims that have a nice sized penis during most of the game, but when it comes down to them taking a shower, or jerking off in front of the mirror, or even jerking off on a chair, the penis reverts back to the ... ahem .... small state (lol).

So I guess my question is, is there a shower-proof skin that has a bigger penis than the ones in this thread?  Or can anyone help me with a work-around that will solve this "little" problem?
