Title: What would you like to see In Sims3
Post by: sesimie on September 27, 2006, 02:41:24 am
Well for me i'd like to see more realistic graphics (athough Sims2 is very good on higher end machines)

More variety in meshing options eg. the ability to redo NPC's workers etc.

Also simple things like converting your mp3's into simlish for radio playback.

I don't own any expansions so most of my actual gameplay is because of the wonderful work meshers do!!

please add your own additions....hey maybe someone working on it may address yor peeves!!:angry7:

you really think they would do a sims3 ? I would of thought they would just try and max sims2 out as much as poss with all stuff packs and that, maybe they could make a stuff pack for changing the way they act and stuff ? I dont know if that possible would would of thought with all the mods and hacks u can get.

But I wanna see maybe better interactions or animations, they hold food like pizza on the palm of their hands, who does that?

I hold pizza in my hand, but i always have napkins seperating the two. I want to be able to move furniture, swimable lakes and generally everything else without using cheats and getting the walls warped. AND I WANT TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE THE ******** SHOES!! :x

That is exactly what I want too.  I hate the fact that I can't find any meshes with running shoes instead of heels for female jeans.

Boo.

I don't like heels, platform shoes or sandals, and most clothes i download come with one of them, so most of the time i have to avoid looking at their feet.

If it comes out I'd certainly hope Maxis wouldn't give us 500 re-colours of the same costumes and weird outfits. Plus better fashion choices, the ability to choose our own maternity outfits without needing a mod.

i like to see 2  version of it    1 for kids and 1 for adults     the adults version has the sex right out in the open    no blur      and when they go to the bathroom they dont go through there clothes.

Yeah that's a good idea..

A huge area of the market though is under 18's. They could only do that if they decided to make an adult version, otherwise anyone underage couldn't buy it. Ugh maxis just annoy me though.

No doubt if sims 3 comes out none of us lot will stop moaning :P

I might be nerdy, but why would you want to see naked sims? It's definetly not on my top 10 list. On sims 3 I'd really like to see more realistic things, like instead of having your sims go into labor on the front lawn, a hopsital truck (i forgot what you call them) comes, and the sims go there, and come back the next day with a baby. I'd also really like to change shoes, I hate the way the feet look with the meshes!

Changing the shoes is a biggie for me, Would love that to happen =P
Also being able to change the body shapes yourself for each individual sim. Have the sim set to your own preferences, that would be good.

Isn't it predictable that if we do that, people will say, "OOOPSIE! I was playing with the meshes... and... uh.... like this thingie happened... and... uh.... yeah....." And there will be "accidental" mishaps, and the shoes will be all deformed, or it will be invisible, and they will have hundreds of threads about, shoes not showing up, etc.

Nope, I won't take it....

Answer: An AMBULANCE?? Lol. It's so funny how ambulances have 'ambulance' written on the front, but backwards lol.

Hmmmmmmm..... I agree with ~Angel~ like having like default meshes you can choose from for body shapes... Or even having one of those things like you can with the face, instead of the brow length, cheek width and all that, could be height, weight (rather than just the fat, skinny thing... like being able to have really really thin people and stuff)... and you know... other stuff.

And also, SOME FREAKIN FASHION SENSE!!!! They should hire some fashion designers and the maxis/ea games (or whoever) people should make the clothes the FASHION DESIGNERS CHOSE!

And the shoes really ANNOY ME!!! Lol I'm just repeating everyone else's suggestions but... meh.

But being able to go to work with them (or having the option to) would be sweet.

Ok, fine, I'll shut up now.

Bye!

I think that in the sims 3 it'd be cool to have different types of sims, because not everyone is the EXACT same body shapes, and sizes. :)
and I agree with Panic about the ambulance thing, because thats something that kind of bothers me how there's no Doctors availible to sims.

It's because when you look at the text in you rear-view mirror it say Ambulance and not ecnalubmA.

If they would make The Sims 3 I would like them to have diseases both genetic and other diseases both that could be cured and other that would either kill them of disable them.

As I have said in most threads what I would like to see within the Sims Franchise:

1.  More options for baby.  Let the little ones have clothes too!  And I'd also like to sit down and hold my baby for once!  Not to mention having the toddlers being able to interact with each other without fighting over a bottle.

2.  Better genes.  I'm tired of having to re-do my sims because their children look like racehorses or vice versa.  (No offense to the beautiful horses, though.  :) )

3.  More interactable objects.  Don't know what I'd like to see exactly, but they can surprise me with what they come up with.

4.  As it has been said many times, a more flexible sims clothing options.  Like what was done in the console versions (The Urbz, Sims 2, and Pets) and be able to mix and match different clothes, not to mention choose what shoes you'd like.  I especially liked how you could modify your sim's bodyshape with the slider tool.

And I do agree, though it's cute, the birth of a sim could've been a little better.  I wish they had stuck to the idea of having an ambulance come and pick the sim up, though there's nothing wrong with a home delivery!  :)

I know I have some more ideas in my noggin, but they'll have to be posted a little later once I figure them out. ;)

I would like to see a longer sim lifespan. Such as Baby 1 week, toddler 2 weeks, kid 2 weeks, Pre teen 1 week, Teenager 2 weeks, adult 3 weeks, and elder 2 weeks.

Even with the pets
I would like to see.
Cub 1 week, puppy 2weeks, adult dog 3 weeks, elder 2weeks.

taniaissimo yes they are doing a sims 3 they are even talking about sims 4 so soon. oh and less bugs lmao.

Noooh! Please no toddler for 2 weeks!
Seriously, I'm having trouble getting past the teen/adult stage, if anything else gets longer too, they'll be stuck as babies/toddlers or when they're lucky, child.

Nope, that wouldn't be good for me.
I love some of the ideas on here though!

I think it'd be kind of neat to be able to visit the homes of other sims and still have control of your sim while doing so. Maybe they've done that. I only have the NL EP so far.

- Different tones of voice.
- More default skins/eyes.
- Better clothes.
- Rabbits~ I wished they made more pets for Sims2Pets.
- Better AI.
- Less ugly Townies.
- More body shapes.

... I guess that's it. For now. :D

[edit] I almost forgot the most important thing: less bugs, plz.

Well yeah, I just use the brainmilk for that, so they've got everything down in 1 or 2 days, 3 days if the moods of parents/toddlers don't combine well.
I tend to make family-sims anyways, and they get enough points for the brainmilk just from having a baby.

And it's just so tiring that they're so extremely reliable, they need to much sleep for not being able to get into their own beds. ;)

Most of the things I wanted have already been said -- re: different shapes/sizes for Sims.

I was also thinking about more life stages -- like a middle-age and pre-teen, for starters.  It bugs me that a child sim can go from being a child and playing with teddy bears to being able to drive a car with nothing in between.  And a healthy, vibrant adult can become, dare I say it, a decrepit elder.

EA/Maxis should employ better quality control staff, period, so we don't have to mill around for ages waiting for a patch when we are sold defective products ridden with bugs.

Oh, and a style consultant wouldn't go astray, either...what makes the folks at Maxis so certain all adult women want to loaf around in track suits and sandals?

I also like the marriage of spore (when creating) and Sims.

Each body part should be moddable!!

Also I really would love a better bodyshop & Create a sim.....ease of use!! plus better use of collections....easier to spot duplicates etc!!

Also why can't body shop use a full screen window!!

Oh and to people who don't think Sims 3 is coming.....

There's one more revelation from the Electronic Arts conference call today. During the Q&A session EA execs confirmed that development is underway on The Sims 3, the third game in the mega-selling people sim series. However the game is still a ways off as EA plans to release it during its fiscal 2009 year which begins on April 1, 2008."

Better graphics for the Sims 3 wouldn't really do it for me, but I would hope Maxis have been paying attention to the forums and making notes about what most people have hacked out of their game and include what most people find lacking in Sims 2.

I doubt that they care about what we really want, since it would mean more work for them... plus if they give fans what they want in the game they wont sell any more Eps since the content would already be in the game.  Here's HOPING beyond reasonable doubt that TS3 will come out with all the EP content from TS2 (imagine that) and all EPs for TS3 would be originals! Hey it IS possible since real human life includes WAY more elements than the ones they explored so far.  They only need to walk down a street for inspirations.

Overall though Ill probably look into TS3 when the first screenshots and reviews are released, Im hoping for more realism, and sims to be less "child-like".  The cartoon thing is only cute up to some point...Id like to see EA "grow up" The Sims, as an adults version (not R-rated).  To a point where people that play other "serious" games would not be phased by owning it.  As in more human drama... events to shape their lives, as the death of (example) a parent/child would effect a real person's life.  Personalities should also be more real...and not solely determined by your star sign.  They started giving individualism in TS2, but never took it any further than sloppy sims farting etc.
Id also like them to revise the "skilling"... make it more realistic...  for example kids would either be interested in cooking or not.  Those who are would build that skill faster and would benefit by watching their parents cook a meal.  If both parents have a keen interest in gardening their kid would have a 90% chance of inheriting that interest.  Just like real life :) (as I perceive it anyway)

And come on...friends are nice, but my amount of friends have NEVER affected my job performance.

Ok, getting off the soapbox now...finishing thoughts...Ill be interested in TS3 if its more realistic - graphically and the AI.

^^ Interesting points!  I think if they were to get rid of something, it should be the need of friends for promotions.  It never made sense in the first Sims game, and it will never make sense no matter how many times they keep using that.

My newest hope for Sims3 is that they have an Object workshop of sorts, so people can finally make furniture/object recolors easily.  Don't get me wrong, SimPE is pretty good for Sims 2, but like I said before in the other "What would you like to see..." thread, I want to be able to see how it would look without having to boot the game every single time.  (Especially seeing that my loading time is approximately 20 minutes each time...)

I would also like one version for adults and one for teens.  I don't want any freakydeaky in the game, I just want the ability for them to get drunk, dance in cages without getting hacked items and terrible animations.  I would love for them to include sports, that can be played on the residential lots with the sims family or friends and be played on a community lot with several people. I miss the little basketball court from the sims 1,  just helps with parent/kids bonding.

Title: What would you like to see In Sims3
Post by: Roxxy on May 26, 2007, 05:54:46 am
A more adult oriented game would be good, nothing too extreme or risque.. just the ability to be more realistic such as using the toilet without peeing through their clothing, actually seeing them get drunk (as mentioned earlier), hosting proper parties and dinner functions and generally acting different to the younger age groups.

As a downloader of all the lovely bodyshapes, i would love the ability to alter my sims shape more realistically, in that the body should be different sections, and not treated as a middle only.

Differing voices, and more complex personalities would be great, as right now they all seem very generic in their ways, which greatly reflects gameplay.  I would like my sims to surprise me with their reactions.

Alternatives for footwear would be good, as I don't like seeing all my ladies always in high heels and they should be able to change their footwear more easily.

Basically, I want to see the different age groups act more like I would expect from that age, with more reactions and animations.

1. More options for baby.
Two things that I would love to see! Why can't a child hold a baby? Why can't they talk to a baby laying on the floor or in a crib?

And I totally agree with the not needing so many friends to get a promotion. I always need to use a cheat because it's impossible to have 13 friends plus keep up with everything else in your household in order to get a promotion.

I agree with giving more interaction with babies. One of the first things I did playing the sims was to try and get my sim to sit and rcok her baby. (It took a while to figure out she wouldn't do it, but we won't talk about that. >> )

Something else I would like to see it layerable clothing, like they had in The Urbz. (It was that one, right? D; ) There are alot of times I wish I could just throw a part of one outfit on another one. =DDD

Otherwise I agree with everyone elses suggestions. (except for longer stages, I couldn't take care of my babies/toddlers for that long. I would get bored to fast DDD: ;; )

Wow lots of good suggestions in here! If the sims was a little more like life minus a few things it would be perfect.
Dance animations that don't look completely idiotic would be great.
Actual support of the custom content community is an absolute must.
Of course the most important thing that needs to change with the franchise is getting rid of EA. The game would probably be better taken care of (quality and patching) and a little more forethought could be put into expansions.

I have issues with the poor fashion sense of Maxis, but what ticks me off more about Sims 2 and its forfather Sims 1 is the poorness that your Sims have to go through if you don't motherlode the heck out of them to get a house big enough to not only look good but simable.  Get some good Sim Archetects in the Dev pool please and lower the stating price of basic household items.  Sorry I love building good homes for my sims and all but sometimes I would like to actually see a large family be able to live in a Starter house.
While I am ranting give us builders some tools that are cool and nice right of the bat, waiting to be able to make pools that are unique and not square without waiting till the last few EP's is pure @#$^$@.

What I would like to see in the sims 3 is  a world! Your sims living in cities, towns and small villages , having a big world on which you can travel with your family. Shopping Malls, Prison, Hospital ...you name them! Also some realistic graphics to show that the sims ain't kids game.

I agree with Teren ... it needs to progress to be more world-like, how about having interviews for jobs at a hospital, shop, business office?

I think it would be great also, if there was a shop to sell custom furniture, where u could completely customise the furniture, lets say a sofa ... the size, style, colour, material, legs etc.

Definately better style/clothes options for everyone especially toddlers/children and elders ... and of course being able to change shoes?! I've never taken my trash out in 9 inch stilettos?!

What I would like is more clothes, which must be fashionable. I would love more realistic skintones and eyecolors. Most definetly hair. There needs to be more hairstyles to choose from for everyone. More modern building objects for houses and stuff around the house. They should allow teens and college students to become pregnant and do the do. We should be able to have more than 8 people in a house. family or not. We should automatically have stylish maternity clothes-credit to Squinge for giving us his hack to make nice maternity clothes- and different shapes for our sims-like RIO, Classic Pin-Up, Fashion Model, Booty Girl- credit to Warlokk for those-, and more. We should be able to alter the sims height and sizes to the tallest and big-boned as you can get. we should be able to naturally get jewelry for the sims. There should be piercings and nail polishes and those sort of things for those of us who want to decorate our sims and make them as realistic or non-realistic as possible. There should be faery, elf, and other things automatically in the game. Sims should be able to have octuplets at once. The new scholarship fund by Pontiac(i'm sorry i forgot the rest) should be in it or something like it. For those of us who want to have our sims suffer like we do we should be able to give them a period like Smonaff's hack. There should be as many majors as there are in a real college, which is alot. We should be able to go with our sims to work or school if we want. And we should also be able to see the houses next door and opposite of us instead of spying on that neighbor, whom WE can't see unless they take a stroll by our sims' house. I wish the skyscrapers in the game were acessable. There should be more variety in animals. We should be able to get these things without having to download everything we like and mess up our computers and games.
I think all these things need to be put into The Sims 3 game epecially what everyone else listed.
I thank anyone who took the time to read this.

I'd love to see more dance animations such as the Flaminco, the Tango, the Waltz and the Time Warp.
(Dear God, what I wouldn't give for a Time Warp animation!)
I'd also love a new sport- skate/snow boarding in which a sim can become a pro skater and engage in a Tony Hawkes-esque mini-game.
More instruments would be nice - like harps, keyboards, kazooes, bongoes.etc. Also, I'd like to see a more visually friendly vampire. Dear god, those Maxis vamps are fugly as heck!
On that note: Elves, demons, devils, angels and centuars! More pet options- like scorpians, snakes, rats, vultures, elephants and other exotic animals.
Better underwater graphics for swimming and above all, NON FUGLY MAXIS CLOTHING/ HAIR!!!

Hi. I agree with everybody's suggestions like being chooose height and body type and choosing different shoes! As I'm sick of seeing sims in really high heels all the time.

I've just thought of something what about an option to home school the kids?. Either a tutor could come to the house and teach the kids for an hour or so for the rich kids or a pop up could come up saying that the kid has to get one skill point in a certian skill like cooking by the end of the day.

I do have one idea to solve the bug problem why don't they make a laptop which is made to run the Sims 3 totally bug-free the right video card everything and here's the best part you could get it free with the Sims 3 game. Ok I know I'm dreaming but it would be nice though.:D

One more thing. I think that babies and toddlers should be able to go out with the rest of the family like in a pram or something.

See ya.

i always thought itd be neat if they changed clothes everyday.  well.. if they have more than one thing in each category for wardrobe.  like it just picks an everyday outfit randomly after they shower.  but then youd need to be able to sell their clothes so they dont end up in maxis uglies.  :D

The threads that I have been seeing lately, along with my own problems the past couple of months ,makes me want to strongly include an EA Games included solution to successfuly managing the full and growing course of custom content.  I mean really, none of this means anything if the game can't be played or takes an extremely long time to load up.  And I really do think the game's creators should own responsibility on this for future editions.

In The Sims 3 they should have a playable hospital, disabled people, broken bones, playable school, more realistic sim labors-like having to go to a hospital in a car/ambulance, more family-like interactions, wheelchairs, crutches, funerals, baby showers, actual diseases, and maybe slightly more realistic people, more defined personalities, and other real-life stuff. :tongue8:

I don't know if anyone has suggested this yet, but the thing I loved with Sims 2 when it first came out was the ability to customize genetics. I would love to see them take it a step further and allow sims to have different heights. I'm not talking about the stretch skeleton cheat. I mean it would be great to be able to choose the heights of your sims as you create them. Make one 6'3" and another 5'7".  That would be awesome.

Title: What would you like to see In Sims3
Post by: Pandora Moon on August 04, 2007, 12:35:47 pm
I agree with you Caffeinated Joy I would like to see that as not everyone is the same height. I'm 4 foot 10 for example and I would like to create a sim who is that height without having to mess the game up.

I think also that instead of phoning a nanny to babysit the kids why can't you have the option of calling a family member or friend to babysit instead?.

And please get rid of the need to have a 100 friends to get a promotion!!

It would be nice if they accounted for the type of friend you have, rather than the amount. Sure, it would take a lot of coding, but it would make sense to me. For example: if a sim working for x company became best friends with the president or someone well-connected with the president, that sim would have a better chance of being promoted than another sim in the same company who had ten friends with no connections at all to the president.

Yeah, things like different heights and actual fat sims, and being able to default as a fit sim. Being able to establish an elder and adult as a married couple (when creating a family) and well as their children. Not having to drop out of college cause you got married. Fix annoying stuff like holding babies and starving to death, changing to sports channel when the sim doesn't has zero interest in sports, overly and telepathically obsessing over cockroaches, playing water balloons in winter and staying outside when freezing. Sims should have intelligence as a personality trait or genetic trait or any other means of controlling it- I could understand a sim set to low intelligence doing certain things. Have ghost be able to do more than just scare sims. Be able to play as an npc, but the npc still keeping its job/position- like if Daniel marries Kaylynn- she's still a maid (for other households) until you tell her to quit. The grim reaper can be part of a household but still be the reaper. Townies having families- it's just weird that they're just there alone- I usually have to make a family for them. Being able to have a genetic parent and adopted parent that are both still considered parents. Military and home school options. And an actual difference between public and private school beyond uniforms. Even if a fully nice sim is angry with someone, he/she shouldn't be kicking over trashcans and stealing papers. Have fighting be a skill. Go to college from home. Ability to get multiple diplomas (for different majors). Have different levels of diplomas (someone who drops out senior year should still have some work-related benefit). Better created pets.

Some things that would probably be too difficult and/or controversial to implement, but I would love if they had it are being able to follow sim kids to school or other sims to work (I hate hearing about some boss or rival when these people don't exist), have things like murder be possible (I don't like saying something that didn't happen in a story). Being able to go to another sims house (like a community lot), so you're in control of the vistors, not the residents- and the computer having to serve your visiting sims needs for once. Ability to get arrested and have a playable prison. Have an orphanage or group home that's playable- where children taken by social workers are also sent. Hospitals.

I think there needs to be more diversity- both in body shapes and in clothing, cultural and otherwise.

And- okay this is going to sound really sick- but better diseases-  For instance, including cancer, chicken pox, black lung, and STDs.

STDs- I always wonder how my romance Sims avoid them.

Better autonomy! It's good to take control when you WANT to, but they should be able to survive on their own. Ordering food, paying the bills, etc. is nice because it's realistic, but I don't want to have to manually do it every time over and over- I want them to pay their own bills without me telling them too. Make sims that are more responsible and irresponsible- instead of everyone vying to "hold baby", some shouldn't want to period (based on personality), but of course will if directed by the player.

I love all you guys ideas as far as the shoes though it doesn't really bother me. I agree with bein able to visit someone else's house. Going to work with your sim which can be opional would be kool and also gon to school with your kids and teens. But mostly I wish they could link up with someone else like Rockstar the people who did Grand theft auto and put it all together somehow. The sims is to goodie two shoes for me and it would be bangin if they were mixed in.

Also MORE dance animations and for kids to, also LOTS of animatons for movies and videos. We're so limited when it comes to makin movies and vidoes and then there's the same ol same ol. I do notice that with every expansion pack there is something new and better, and I do believe they are tryin to figure out how to get it more realistic. And MORE freedom to tha point we can do jus about anything with the sims.

And yea the height thing, where some sims are tall and some are short dependin on their genes. Did I mention better or more dance moves? And clothing stores that sell different types of clothing and not all the same thing. Like for example a bridal shop that only sells bridal things or an urban store that only sell urban wear or street wear, like that. And the kids call their parents mommy or daddy aunt uncle cousin. We can park on the street walk to tha corner store right quick if we need to. And some of the things in the trailor that they were advertisin for the sims2. Basically to sum it all up, life. Just my 2 cents, but I do love the game. Jus a few ideas that I wanted to throw out there.

Well, hypnotized I can help you there. Open the cheat box (ctrl+shift+c) and type "moveobjects on". This will help you place objects in places you normally wouldn't. Also, if you type "boolprop snapobjectstogrid false" this will let you reduce the space between objects, enabling you to place them closer together or farther apart.

To place more than one obect on a table/chair/whatever, I would like to direct your to the One More Slot Package (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=178902). There are a bunch there to use with different objects. You should see links to them on the left hand side. :)

A better AI is also my greatest wish. Better path finding who will wait for something to be ready, so the sim will wait in line for the dishwasher and not go to a bathroom at second floor to wash dishes.
Better autonomy and the ability to modify a queue of tasks; You wake up a sim, ask him to get dressed, use the toilet and take a shower, then eat and go out and tend crops.
That he do is wake up, make the bed because he is neat and is in the same room as the bed, find that the bathroom is in use so he will eat first, then use the bathroom. On the way out he meets his wife and kisses her. Later on he needs to use the toilet again and do it before returning to tend crops because he has a high responsibility.

Here the sims had the ability to reschedule tasks as it fitted best, add small tasks in the queue because they didn’t take much time, also to return to a long term task like studying, exercising or tending crops after a break.

I would also make more customizing, more behaviour settings in a control panel or at least in an xml file, here you could set lots of the things we use global mod for now, like autonomy for actions.

Its obvious, better AI!And it'll be more interesting if their social interactions and attitude are more real life.

I dont mind the present graphics because its good in my opinion, but i hope it'll be better in Sims 3,not too 'real' though cuz i prefer my sims to be abit cartoony.

And i hope Sims 3 has an option where your sims can wander around the neighbourhood freely without calling the taxi,or visiting their neighbours instead of inviting them to their house.

Well, with Bon Voyage they should be able to walk to other lots.

Which is a good thing, because I once had my sim go to the gym, which he only had to cross the street for.
Soo, he called a cab, which went the wrong way, meaning he would have to drive around the whole block to get to the entrance of the gym. (if they drive at all)

Simlogics I guess. :P

I don't really want an adult version with realistic sex, drinking, and stuff like that. This is mostly because they would add some stuff that wasn't exactly R rated to the game, and then teens and preteens would want to buy the adult version to get these things. Also, the EPs for TS3 would all be different because of the two games. What I REALLY want is farm animals. Riding horses would be great. I don't mean just having cowboys and stuff, though. I want Western style riding AND English. It would be cool to have a farm animal option in CAS. Then, you could train the different animals to do things (example, training horses) For all of the animals, more than eight creatures would have to be allowed into the lot. Still, there are mods to do this.

I REALLY want teens to be able to have kids and stuff in TS3. Maybe there would have to be mods for stuff, like in Sims2. Who knows.

I would like it if I could associate a group of clothing and furnishings for a specific neighborhood, so that when creating a sim or furnishing a home, I don't have to scroll through tons and tons of items and clothes that do not apply to the specific neighborhood.  Also, i wish they would allow us to modify neighborhoods, ie: change the streets to dirt roads, move a street to fit a different size lot, etc.:D

I would love to have Sims of different heights and sizes to give a touch of realism to the communities instead of looking at my adult Sims of the same height every time. Sure, I would love to have teens who are taller than their parents and would love to have Sims who are skinny, average, athletic or plus-size without using mods and cheats.

Oh, on my list of most wanted stuff I'd like to see in both Sims 2 and 3.. STUFF for children! Playgrounds, not some dinky little swingsets! More toys, bicycles, tree forts, little play houses. That kind of stuff kids do these days in reality... I was very disappointed that Maxis didn't think much about the poor Sims 2 children.

Back on topic, if I haven't mentioned it before (or someone else in this thread), I'd like to see less advertising spam for certain interactions... WAY less than what they gave us for things like "kicky bag," "water balloon fight," and "pillow fight."  If they're going to pull that type of stuff, at least have those interactions better aligned with the sim's personality!  For some odd reason, my serious sims in the past still insisted on pillow fighting each other, and thanks to the "less/no autonomous" mods there's a lot less of that going on.  I admit, it's cute at first, but they really need to plan those interactions a little better.  :?

I think that they should give pregnant sims more outfits and possibly some coats, so my pregnant sims don't freeze when they decide to take the trashout when its snowing or when there's snow on the ground. That would make my day.

I am not sure I would actually buy Sims 3, but some current add-ons of spiral staircases would be awesome.  I was reading some of the other comments I agree about changing shoes and body sizes.  There are lots of sites out there making awesome in game content for "Adults Only".  More building collections would be awesome.  That is my only major gripe with the current game.

I don't really want an adult version with realistic sex, drinking, and stuff like that. This is mostly because they would add some stuff that wasn't exactly R rated to the game, and then teens and preteens would want to buy the adult version to get these things.

Rest assured, they won't do it. It's an American game with America as the biggest market. And American lobbys are known to rather frown upon sexual content than violence.

But you can be equally sure, that teens and preteens are among the first to download each and every adult modification available. It's the time of the internet after all. And teens and preteens haven't changed much over the decades. What's forbidden is all the more interesting.

As far as my wishes for a possible Sims 3 go? Pretty much everything has been said already. I'm not sure I would even buy it. Certainly not if they keep sticking with securom and I haven't got a no CD patch at the ready before the purchase.

1) I want to change the shoes.

2) I want to mix-and-match outfits.

3) I wish teens could get pregnant without a hack.

4) There would be an Ambulance.

5) We get to go to school/work with our Sims if we choose.

6) No bugs!

7) More body shapes.

8) Different ear forms.

9) The guys should be taller than the girls.

10) The Sims should be able to have disabilities.

11) No disgusting noises when the Sims make Mac & Cheese!!

12) Why can't Sims have pie?! They should eat pie.

13) Avril Lavigne posters should be avalible.

14) Earrings.

15) The baby should be born naked!!

16) See the Sims have sex out in the open. People WooHoo in all kinds of places in real life!! ^_^

I'm done now.

I agree there's too much female attire and hairdos. But I guess Beosboxboy has stressed that here.
I thought I had read in the beginning, that sims when ready to give birth would be picked up in an ambulance and return with the baby. I was disappointed when that didn't happen.
I agree, there should be a mix and match of shoes. I tend to use the fanseelamb outfits too much, because I want boots and pant sets on the females, instead of high heels, on the ordinary sims. Not all my sims are high society.
I guess they didn't match the furniture and floors/walls, because they figured the custom content makers would do that. Thank you for doing that! :D

Hmmm.  I think we need more female crap.  Just kidding, Beosboxboy ;)

I like the idea of different body shapes and heights.  Sims 1 had more variety in that department.  Better looking skin/eyes/hair and more choices for both.  Nannies that aren't stupid and burn themselves alive while insisting on making a Baked Alaska.  Stupid sims that don't put food in the oven and walk away from it.  Sims that aren't obsessive about feeding the babies or bathing the toddlers.  That drives me nuts.  I think you should be able to buy your clothes from home (that internet idea sounded really good).  More male clothing and hairstyles - good ones, because Maxis ones suck.  Matching furniture.  This drives me crazy everytime I want to put a table and chairs in a dining room.  All the wood grains are different colors, and sometimes the ones that are supposed to match are off color from each other.  Grrr!

I think some of my biggest beefs are:  I like to play a lot of challenges, unfortunately, many of them require you to marry townies.  I hate all the freaking ugly townies.  Maxis (or EA) seems to be very skilled at making really ugly sims.  Most of them have ski slopey noses or squished flat ones.  And what's with the carp mouth?  Also, I think when you create a new neighborhood, there should be random townies - I have 14 neighborhoods in my game, and I'm sick to death of Marisa Bendett, Sandy Bruty, and freaking Goopy Gilscarbo.  And that damn Marsha Bruenig stalks all of my adult sims!  How many kids come home with your sim kids on the bus, then obsessively call the child's parents to chat every. freaking. day?  I swear I'm going to start growing Marsha up in every neighbord and killing her off.  More variation for townie names - why do you need 3 Ivy Copurs in any given neighborhood or 2 Jessica Ebadis?  That's stupid and unrealistic.  Dogs that actually attack the burglars instead of just watching them, or sims that can attack them.  I get so tired of challenges where I can't have a burglar alarm or phone, then helplessy watch while the burglar steals me blind - while my stupid sim makes a sandwich or takes a bath because they can't interact with the burglar.  Moronic.  I want to whip out a gun and shoot th SOB.  I also think the animal adoption pool should be random for each 'hood.  My sims are always wanting to get a puppy.  How many times must I adopt Max?  And why does the adoption pool never refill?  With sims constantly wanting puppies and kittens, and only two or three to choose from, most sims don't get that want satisfied.  And why doesn't your pet having puppies satisfy the 'get a puppy' want?

Okay, I think I'm done bitching now.  Not that my computer would be able to handle TS3, anyway.  I had to upgrade big time just to be able to play TS2, lol.

Agreed with everything so far, with some more to add:

Decent CAS face templates. You know, those that actually look human. Do some frickin' research EA, find out what people really look like instead of going out of your way to insult the poor Africans. I don't mind homely sims, but come on...!

Better relationship options in CAS. I tried just now to make an adult sim a child of another adult sim (since that's actually the case in the story they're from). All I get is roomie, sibling or spouse. Pah... ooh, while we're at it, how about adding cousins, step-parents, etc...?

On that note, better relationship handling full stop. A sim's great grand-daughter shows no family icon in the relationships panel, no sign whatsoever that the two are related, unless you look in the family tree :oogle: So what does that mean? The two can fall in love, get married, you get the idea.

Being able to adjust the neck! How many hourglass/giraffe necks can one endure while creating sims? To say nothing of the poor kids, they almost always have necks that are too long.

Adjusting the height, width, muscle tone, hips, etc. With no resulting mesh clipping or animations that don't line up. Plus make those traits hereditary - e.g., tall Dad + short Mum = child somewhere in the middle. Or taking after one of the parents.

All this assuming I can a) afford the new PC I'll need to run it, and b ) I can trust EA enough to buy it from them. I'm not holding my breath either way :P

I agree with 'most all of the stuff previously mentioned...but also:
I hope they add some kind of society element...
Explanation:  a kid becomes a teen.  instead of just choosing a new aspiration, you have to choose to which kind of society this person wants to fit in with.  Say you choose "goth".  Your new goth teen will start exhibiting traits closer to goths... wants piercings.  wants black hair + clothes + makeup. ...and will befriend other goths easier than say...a preppy "valley girl" cheerleader.  Possible, but not that easy.  Also...how your sim acts toward the other society types would be a result of what they are.. example...nerdy sims wont hang with the jocks and cheerleaders.

Another one: kids more "able".  Microwave their own dinner at least.  Sit in the hottub.  that kind of thing.
OH! and have a babysitter option instead of the nanny.  remove that crazy bit*h from the game alltogther.  Neighbours/teens etc should be hire-able to look after your kids when away.

1-workable top load washers and dryers

2-choice of dishwasher type (**portable or built in**)

3-more choices in cars

4-importing familys created in the sims2 to the sims3 game and see the imported family members evoled ex: babys{sims2} to toddlers[sims3] toddlers to kids "sims3" kids ^sims2^ to teens *sims3* E.C.T

tank you

5-family members visiting reletives (elders or brothers)

6-diffrent type of food

7- sims kids have favrite toys clothes e.c.t

just to name a few

PS: one last thing family members grow up much slower and the sims3 game should offer an option that say would you like to play your game like the sims1 the sims would not age.

pictures are just to give an idea of what i am talking about

This worries me:

From the other thread.

To make each Sim be a unique snowflake, recognizably distinct from the others, the player focuses less on peeing and sleeping, and more on social relationships and situations.

Sounds like regular stuff like your dishwasher/clotheswasher is going to be reduced and not expanded. I hope not :???:

house shoping when the sim family is created there should be a question like would you like to shop for a house now or rent an appartement or condo and shop for a house later?

trashmen picking up the trash

transition when toddler is potty train transition toddlers from diapers to undies from crib to bed so the crib can be use by the new born baby in the sims3 toddler begins to eat real food not toddler mush.

Ah-the Sims 3; I don't even know if I'm that interested, but here goes my list:

Better autonomy-no need to tell the sim to go to the bathroom (more than now necessary) to the point of "accidents", or to put down that damn baby!
Better facial expression-some of the incredibly stupid expressions I have never seen on a human being!
More job opportunities-more careers.
Less focus on female Sim stuff. They're not the only gender.
More design features for building.
More design features for furniture.
Better CAS face features-those that are not exaggerated.
Better Townies-make them prettier, smarter and less aggravating.
Easier "transition" stages for growth, and longer stages. Everyone I know grew up in 20 years to be an adult, not 10.
Use of some of the best hacks or mods in the community to enhance game play-they could even ask some of the more talented creators from Insim and MTS to help out! NO TRS creators except a very few brilliant and unsung heros.
No more Securom or anti-priracy software installed without permission of the computer's owner-if that has to be there, let the owner decide if they want to screw up their game irretrievably; not EA.
Include everything that they would have in any EP before, and thus eliminate the need to shell out for more stuff-idealistic and probably not realistic.

All that and the moon. Doubt if EA will read these messages, they will do damn well what they want, which is why I shall wait and see what kind of garbage they are capable of producing.

...

Sims talking in a straight language, English or otherwise, isn't really sims IMHO.  I kind of enjoy having to listen to the "nonsense" simlish.  It's quite cute... and to take that away would steal one of the most noticeable and defining things about the game.  That, and it's gonna be scary if I actually can understand them without having to think hard about it... :pale:

Title: What would you like to see In Sims3
Post by: chibymethos on November 08, 2007, 04:00:44 pm
I heartly agree with nearly everyone here. I'd like to see: better shoes, holding the baby and sitting, middle-aged adults, more activities for the kids (ie sports, or other after school activates), and more toys for the kids. They get a swing set and a toy box. Big whoop. The toddlers have more toys.  And the kids should be able to use the microwave to make their own dinners. I mean, I was 6 or 7 when I started using the microwave, and sim kids are instantly at least 8.

No friends for promotions, better looking townies/NPC's, better clothes, more options for faces and body shapes, more building tools. We can make sims in bodyshop and they show up in the game, why not a way to make houses, that will be automatically imported into the game, or packaged for download.

Better hair, separate star signs and personalities, more aspirations, baby/toddler/child interactions. Why can't a toddler go look at the baby? Why can't a child hold the baby? Why if the game let's you have multiple births, can't the toddles interact with each other?! Why can't you have daycare like moonyloopy said, or at least make the nanny competent?

I'd like to be able to change their height too. I don't know too many women the same height as men.

Be able to walk to your neighbour's house instead of driving NEXT DOOR!, and why can't you take the baby/toddler with you when you go somewhere? Just put them in a sling or a stroller or something.

Going to the hospital when you get sick or have a baby would be good, too.

More body shapes, and maybe allow adults and elders to go to college (I'm 27and I'm starting my 2nd year hint hint ), and maybe get more than one degree.

And yes, less female stuff, dammit. I'm female, and there's too much girl stuff. But while we're at it, let's get some baggy clothes for the girls. I don't know about the rest of you, but none of the females I assocate with wear or even considered looking at skin tight clothes. Some of us like freedom of movement.

I probably won't get TS3 but I think if I did, this is what I'd like in there:

1. The ability to transfer my sims from TS2 into TS3. I would hate to have to start all over with a new generation.

2. More interactions with toddlers. More interactions for toddlers period.

3. A new life stage. Maybe pre-teen or middle-age would be nice.

4. More individual options in CAS. Tall sims, short sims, skinny sims, heavy sims, healthy sims, ect.

5. Color sliders in CAS. What if I want that blue blouse in dark green? Or that pretty hairstyle in a better shade of brown? Or even that pale skintone in a smooth, chocolate complexion.

6. More style options in CAS like from the console TS2. Being able to turn that ugly sleeveless shirt into an elegant turtleneck or a frumpy skirt into a sexy mini-skirt would be nice.

7. More aspirations. Creativity, Spiritual, Body, Evil, ect would be nice additions.

8. Using the recipe system from the console TS2. I would love for my sims to get a bunch of ingredients and make a whole new meal instead of some pre-made ones.

9. Better Maxis everything. Clothes, hair, skintones, furniture, ect, ect, ect.

10. More concentration on our Male sims. Why are they so ignored?

11. Different clothing styles. Not everyone lives in Surburbia with doudy, bland clothing.

12. Toddlers being able to interact with each other more. It makes no sense that toddlers can't talk or play with each other except taking each other's bottle and playing in the dollhouse.

13. Things early one actually affecting a sim later in their life. This was to be included in TS2, but with EAxis inflated and downright bogus lies, it wasn't.

14. A better overall design of the game. I really liked the earler pictures of TS2 alot better than the cartoony design we have now. The early pics were so smooth and crisp.

15. More careers.

16. Being able to go to work/school with your sims and having the option to choose whether or not you want to go.

17. More animals, more focus on the animals, and more things for animals to do.

18. Having locations to live in. Country, Suburbian, Urban, Beach, Fantasy, and Forest/Mountains would be nice.

19. More individuality in sims. Some sims shouldn't care if their partner cheats. Some sims should be popular, while others are nobodies or creepy.

20. Appearance actually affecting a sim. Not all sims should be comfortable wearing a skin-tight, fashionable dress or wearing no makeup.

21. Sims being more aware of their surroundings. I don't understand how a sim can sit and watch a burgalar rumpsack through their house.

22. Social ranks. It would be funny to watch a snotty rich sim ignore a punk rock sim.

23. Not all sims should be good at everything. Some should be bad parents but great cooks or great sports players but horrible readers.

24. Baggier clothing for men. While they don't have to be hanging below their waist, male sims should have some breathing room when it comes to their clothings.

25. More interactions for each life stage. Kids should be able to actually cook small stuff like cereal or a TV Dinner. Elders should have some other stuff for them to do too.

26. More skill options.

27. More personalities. 'Courageous vs. Cowardice' is a great one. 'Logical vs. Impulsive' is good too.

28. Better EPs. :-P

29. Better townies. Some of them don't even look human!

30. School/Jobs affecting a sim's life.

I'll also add that I'd like to remove Maxis stuff from CAS & bodyshop that i don't use. After you download your 100th piece of clothing and realize you don't use maxis stuff you'll understand where I'm coming from!!:smt120

...

Sims talking in a straight language, English or otherwise, isn't really sims IMHO.

i agree .......let them speak one universal language....once you use english....then others will want different languages.....and our game will take up more space for sound files.....i guess i prefer less files to install in the first place as sims2 games have a nasty habit of exploding in size and inefficiency. I hope Sims 3 is more efficient and not a resource hog!!   :snorting:

MUST GET SIMS 3! I'm pretty sad though, by the time I got all the EP's (Well sorta) they start annoucing about Sims 3! What up with that?

Anyway, I hope they put more stuff in Sims 3 and add all the expansion stuff to it! Maybe aparments would be nice, and some new actions sims can do to each other and to themselves 8D

I'll agree that the whole sims 2 expansion pack phenomena  is due to "don't fix what aint broke even if it is broken...

But this happens with most games with expansions. The same formula with a few fixes. In the Case with Sims2 expansions though it seems they got it worst. This is why i refuse to get Pets and after. (thanks to all the diligent folks here who painstakingly experienced the bugs and posted information for us users). :salute:

Lets hope Sims3 returns the franchise to it's former glory! heck make it better!!....yes i still have hope!!   :-|

Beosboxboys I think we all go the hint that you will like more male stuff in the game and I do I agree with you.  Let see what I will like in the Sims3 not that EA is listening anyways.

-Better hair texture for male & female
-More realistic genetics for eyes, skin and hair
 -Better clothes and shoes
-Will like to see fingers, toes and ears that will look a bit more realistic
-More romantic interactions between sims like longer kisses, be able to hold their face when they are kissing, hold hands while they walk, and be able to place her or his head on the partners chest for a longer period or when they are sleeping or spooning.
-more realistic objects
and my biggest wish is for them to make a 18 and over or mature version for those who like their sims to have sex and be able to kiss sims with their legs wrap around their waist when making out without hacks.

I can't believe that no one has mentioned this yet. The thing I hate most about The Sims and The Sims 2, I can have 8 people in my household but a group meal only serves 6!!!!!!!! Can we PLEASE!!!!!!!! get a group meal that serves 8 people. I gave up making large families because one of them does nothing but cook. You need to make 2000 group meals to feed 3 people for crying out loud! Is it so hard? A group meal that serves 8?

I would really love to see aspiration really change a sims behaviour with more automny ( spelling)

like romance sims more automically try and flirt with everyone they find attractive- but not infront of other loves- as who the hell does that in real life??? and the ability to two time- or multi time...

fortune aspiration, automatically more attacted to rich sims- not just who they flirt with or whatever, and they automanmously (sorry i cant spell) flirt with richer sims.

family sims - having first love as their dream person to get married too, from teenager onwards or whatever.

the ability to recognise that step sisters and bro's are part of your family!! like when your mum remarries someone already with kids etc.

when you go abroad- to be able to learn a local dish

to be able to buy a cook book and learn recipes

for kids to take after school activites- like sport, or chess club...

sloppy/un neat sims- to be more likely to lounge in their pjs all day and have lie ins.

paying child maintence!

having fertile/infertile sims- then being able to either go NHS for free, or paying for it.

having aspirations as more inheritated than choice, with the random chance or each being rolled.

obviously more different body shapes, big tummies, shorter legs, bigger thighs, or small - more individualatity like humans!

MORE MORE MORE MORE MALE HAIR CUT CHOICE!!!!!!

I quite agree. How about when the sims get "very old", they can get dementia, bad gums and might have to go to the retirement home?

I also agree with the more diseases and was thinking that maybe we could have a range of mental illnesses, or personality disorders. I would really like to see a sociopath rather than a sim with low nice personality points.

Not necessarily more stuff - just more "good" stuff.

I want Sims to get ill and possibly die, along with genetic illnesses (e.g. the children of a sim with a heart problem would be more likely to develop it) and STDs (Or, as Maxis would likely end up calling them, "Woohoo Sickness").

It'd also be nice to have the jobs tied more into the Sims lives, for example child sims coming home knowing a few classmates and a teacher, who would be a sim a few stages into the education track, while a uni sim would meet playable sims further up the track as professors. Following the sims to work/school and watching them interact with their coworkers would also be nice (Office romance!).

Though admittedly that would mean each job level woould need to have something special about it, so maybe changing the job system so that although different levels on the same general "track" have different skill or degree requirements, there would be a certain advantage to letting Sims stay at their current level. I'd also like to see job interviews, so that when a siim is ready to move up they can apply to do so.

I'd also like a change in the personality system, as a lot of the options are about putting points into two equally viable options (e.g. "Serious" and "Playful"), so I'd prefer if either you could use as many or as little points as you like or if they set it up like pet personalities.

I'd then like them to replace the capped personality points with "aptitute" points, like having an aptitude for artistic skills, studying, cooking or building things. Of course this would involve changing the skill system as well, because although there could be a counter of how creative the sim is skills would be seperate (Because being able to write well doesn't mean you can play guitar), and the same goes for practicing recipes and learning how to build and repair different objects.

Plus more varied aspirations, with the ability to pick a "Major" and "Minor" aspiration (Which reminds me - university minors).

...And to support this all, better AI :smt120

Ok, I want to see the sims GET CHANGED from clothes to clothes!
I just DON'T want to see them nude...There should be more tv channel choices like...SimCity Newsbreak, KidzTube, Weather Chart, Horror/Action/Comedy/Drama Series and....MOVIES! Y'know, dvd's and videos.

Also, I want Sim homework to finish quicker! No "kids staying up until 2am and when they finish their fun meter is ZERO" cr*p!

Adults should be able click on the newspaper/computer and choose the job out of all of them!!! Also, when a toddler grows into a kid, the parents should choose if they go to a private or public school!

When a sim goes into labor, the father should at least help her get to the ambulance that should automatically pull up at the house!

When you create a sim, you should be able to choose what random skills they have and what money supply they start with!

And lucky-last...LAYERCLOTHES! You should start out with a sim in their underwear and then layer the clothes to your desire, and when you move them in, they should already have every piee of clothing in their dresser!

EDIT: Still havin' a rant :D Babies should have a tiny cute, creased singlet on when they come home with their mummy! The ambulance will drop them off at the home. I also want SMART nannies! No one goes and pokes and pinches a baby in their sleep to grab out 30 friggen million bottles and then steal it away from them and pee on them expecting a tip!!!???!!!

PLUS! EVERY sims2 expansion pack features should be in sims3!!!

Nuff Said, yo :D

I want the choice to change aspirations at every stage change past teen as opposed to having go through university to get "life experience" (I'm aware I can change with the InSimenator manually, but I'd still like the feature). And new aspirations, maybe some age specific aspirations as well.

I say that because I'm amused by the idea of an Anarchy aspiration that sees sims wanting to make enemies, woohoo with married sims and kick over flamingos, but I get the feeling most sims players wouldn't want their sim to stay like that permenantly, and so could reason that after one life stage the sim "matures" into another aspiration.

Or unlockable aspirations, for example the aforementioned Anarchy aspiration would only be available if you aged up at while your aspiration was in red.

Ooooh, SOFA BEDS! An affordable aternative to cheap bedding, a fold-out futon bed would be perfect for households where space is at a premium.
It would also add a touch of realism for teenage sims- IE: boy meets girl, they fall in love but both can't afford own place so both crash on the sofa-bed at either's parent's house.

On a related note, the animations for said sofa-bed could be directly influenced by body skill. For example:

A body skill bar less than 5 points: Sim struggles to pull bed out of sofa, random chance of either sucessfully pulling out the bed but with a depleted energy bar or failing to pull the bed out and getting angry.

NO bodyskill points: Sim tries to pull bed out, bedspring malfunctions, Sim gets sucked into the sofa only to be spat out 10 seconds later with tattered clothing, less hair on head and a horrified expression. XD

Bodyskills of more than 5/Maxed out: Sim goes to pull out bed but just as it's half-way out of the sofa, it sticks and Sim has to pull hard to make it budge. Sim inevitably pulls too hard, the bed snaps off the sofa and the Sim goes flying, falling over onto the floor whilst being crushed by said bed. XD

I have many ideas for custm animations but I lack the skills and the progams to make them happen. :(

i agree with you at 100%
what i would love to see the most in the sims3 is that:

1: Nannys concentrate more on taking care of the babys toddlers and kids

2: make a healthy meal for the sims kids not a crappy dessert like jello or cake

3: make supper for the whole when the adults sim arrive they do not have to fix supper when the adults are not in the mood

4: Nannys not passing there time watching tv or waiking the Baby up to give a Bottle

5: Nannys not doing the maid 's job of cleaning the House

6: Nannys not playing video Games when they must take care of the Kids.

Okay, it's all probably been said before judging by the size of this thread, but i want better looking feet damnit!!!
The feet right now look so icky :P
Also the default... well everything from eyes to skintones and hair suck
And i agree with the people who said it should have more body types and age groups, they should age better.
I mean, who turns from a toddler to a child in 2 seconds and with sparkles and stuff flying around?
Okay that's all i can rant about now, so i'm out :P

ok, here's my list. I'm sure some, if not all of these have been listed, but this is what I want.

1) Make shoes seporate! I can't count how many times I've downloaded a great outfit that had horrible shoes with it

2) Allow us to choose between multiple sim height/weights, like the little sliders that they have for modifying the face, or something to that affect. Also, along with that, let us be able to change the shape of different parts, like breasts, thighs, stomach, arms, etc.

3) Better default clothing! Most of the stuff Maxis/ Ea came up with is just plain UGLY! (I do have to give them credit for some of the formals & a couple of the outwears though)

4) Make hats seperate. They did this in the console game, and I loved it.

4) Make jackets seperate (Another thing they did in the console that I liked)

5) More skintone colors.

6) Hospitals/ doctor's offices & more illnesses. People get all kinds of sicknesses, and sims have a few too, so they should be able to go to a Dr./  hospital if they get sick. Also, I agree with the person that said an ambulance should come get the mother that's in labor...or if it can't make it at least have her go to the bathroom/ bedroom to deliver the baby instead of just wherever she may be. Oh, and along with all that, it'd be cool if sims could get broken bones.

7) A washer, dryer, laundry detergant, heater, AC, ceiling fans & regular fans.

8 Have the option to go to work with your sims

9) more aspirations, turn ons & turn offs

10) usable towels (allow sims to dry off after they get out of the shower instead of just changing into their clothes)

11) drivable cars, pets & the different seasons included in the first game.

12) More objects for infants/ toddlers

That's all I can think of for now, but I'm sure as soon as I play my game again I'll think of more.

and one thing that i would like to see the most in the sims3 when the toddler is in the process of potty training the adults sims switch the toddler from diapers to underwear so only the baby would wear diapers and to help with the potty training the toddler would see his big brother go to the bathroom (boy simsor is big sister (girl sim go and they would learn?

In the making of The Sims 3, Will Wright should reeeaaally hire Enayla to
create the skintones and eyes!!! They should hire XM-Sims for the hair and "All-About-Style.com" for the clothes, even Rensim, Lovebottle and Bruno for the lip-sticks!! Anyone agree???

Heres my new list.I had others but I don't want to update those.
1:Our t.v. shows/movies.I mean I don't want sims watching the same stuff over and over. Its just not right! And they should update them with every expansion/stuff pack with the most common/popular ones and have us the customers by having us vote for the shows/movies that will appear there.
2: Better clothes.I mean it feels like the 1990's in the game. For gods sakes we are in the year 2008!
3:More real life options.I would like to see a sim bullied by a kid at school or them being grounded and the toddlers actually having a time out.How awesome would that be?
4:Able to go into a school lot!I want to be able to see my sim in school and help him/her out!
5:Us creating the schools! How cool would that be if we created a unique school of our liking with everything from music to dance?
6:Ages are like ours!I don't want to see the kid go from child to teen.I want to see the growing years and the growth changes each year.It would give us a chance to play that sim longer than we could ever before.
7:More creative objects.I want to see the statue of liberty, the Mona Lisa painting, even Picasso's most famous paintings!
8:Schooling is different.I want it to be like it is here.I want the toddlers to go to Pre-K and day care when needed.
9: Different themes!I want to be able to see a theme of gothic clothes/objects to ancient themed items. How amazing would that be?
10:More foods.I don't want my sims to eat the same junk.I mean I want my sims to be able to eat Tomato soup(ok I think i'm drooling) and even have expressions on their faces to say they don't like it.
11:More objects.Everything is so old and dull in Sims 2(without CC of course)and I want more of the most liked items.I want my sims to be able to have his/her own portable television and watching it as they tried to slept to comfort them.
12:Come home expressions change.I want my sim to come home and complain and stuff about school or their date.
13:Students eat lunch at school.I hate having my sim come home hungry and all that.
14: Different sims.I don't want all of those old characters(that are in the first neighborhoods) well I want them but not those extra strangers.I want more of those strange sims that everyone wants to play and create tales of.
Wow I have a pretty long list but hey I want the game to be as fun as the first time I played it.

sims leaving in a hurry that they forget to get dress for work or school (***Leaving in their underwear and find themselves embrasse that they would not want to show their face in town in fear that they forget their pants again and it would leave a bad memory and a fear to find themselves in public in their underwear.)

Better INCLUDED content. Though I don't mind downloading to get realistic eyes, skin, hair, etc. I shouldn't HAVE to. They eyes that come in the game make me want to rip mine out.

More Aspirations. I often make Sims family Sims because I want them to care about their children, but their main desire is always to HAVE MORE. No! You already have three! You don't need any more! Or maybe just make subdivisons of the already existing Aspirations.

Also genetic surgery (alternative of plastic surgery), so you can watch how Michael Jackson turns to white ( He actually looks better when he was black).
:eh:

...

... (http://smilies.vidahost.com/otn/angry/llsweatdrop.gif)  *sigh*

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitiligo

I'll leave it at that.  Not a "rabid fangirl" of his, but at least give the guy some slack... that couldn't have been helped on his part due to genetics...  (http://smilies.vidahost.com/ups/the_turtle/staresm.gif)

As for getting back on topic, from seeing the mini preview on one of the "Free Time" clips, seems like changeable shoes is on the way... and possibly adjusting bodyshapes.  Still don't trust EA's previews anymore... but it looks like a plus.  I just hope there's not any false promises... THAT's what I'd like to see.  One ad/preview that's not getting our hopes up for something a bit less than what it's supposed to be.  Yeah, I know.  I'm pretty much the hopeless one, but seriously... there's been too many upsets by EA not giving us all the details we might find important to know... and I'm sure you all know what I mean as of the recent EP6.  :?

not a fan of MJ... but as a psych student, i believe it's not only Vitiligo, but possibly also body dysmorphic disorder, which would explain the plastic surgery, mental state, and face mask (most of these coencide with Vitiligo as well)

anyway, there is supposedly a video of sims 3 preview in free time expansion pack, and they've addressed some of the concerns, but it may not be everything we've hoped and dreamt for.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=8xTipLHIj4s

I myself was hoping for different heights and more body types, but it does seem to address the concerns of shoe choices and possibly layers. There is a more realistic look to them, and they can seem to 'wander' the city instead of being stuck in one place or another, a real type city is rather exciting! and while many people have made mention that it didn't look good enough to buy, I already know i'll be purchasing it. From the preview, i can tell that they've already acheived a great deal and come a long way from where they were. I myself am anticipating the release of free time so that i can see the video for myself in a better qaulity.

Also, i was noticing the other day when you start up the game, (of those of you who have bon voyage) you'll notice the panel that pops up showing you which games you do, or don't have. I noticed that there is enough room for definate on the expansion side for one more, which would be Free time, and on the Stuff pack side, there is enough room for two more icons. Which we already know that it's going to be the designer bathroom and kitchen stuff pack... http://thesims2.ea.com/about/sp7_index.php i'm extremely excited about that, cause i love my sim kitchens like i love my kitchen in the real world.  but there does seem to be enough room for one more stuff pack. I should have screen shots on my other comp and will try to remember to load them.

What I would like to see in Sims 3:

1. Apartments with better door mechanisms to allow more than one family to live in separate units on the lot.

2. Better AI programming with both Controllable and Non-Controllable Sims (NPCs, Downtown Sims, University Sims and whatnot) to be as real as possible. Why would I want my Serious Knowledge Sim be silly playing in puddles or wanting to catch butterflies?

3. Better building tools with more functionality. I want to build basements, I want to be able to choose the style, size and depth of the basement to create. And more roof choices at different angles.

4. More items for children. Seriously.. All of the expansion and fun packs have very little content for children in the sense they could express themselves with unique rooms, but I was very dismayed to learn that the next fun pack included bathroom and kitchen stuff? Okay, I'm all for decorating, but who noticed there was very little content for children in Sims 2 generally? No treehouses, no trampolines, no wading pools, no real kid stuff. This stuff were made by players, not Maxis, for other players who wanted more content for their Sim children...

5. More hair, eye and skintone colors. Allow us to choose a color from the palette and apply that color choice to the Sim's hair or eyes while creating Sims ingame.

That's all I can think of for Sims 3 other than making sure it's not going to be another series of botched patches to fix Sims 3.

I like alot of the ideas mentioned already...one i didn't see tho that annoys me is say mom is making dinner and the dad or teens go to the frig cuz their hunger is low and then they get in each others way and waste food...if mom is making dinner for everyone why can't the rest of them know this and wait for her to set it on the table? It would be nice if you could assign chores to different family members and change them each day if u want....ex. one takes out the trash...one clears the table and does the dishes...one of the adults automatically gets the mail and pays the bills...i hate it that everyone tries doing the samething and again get in each others way...i guess i would like it if only one sim decides to do something and starts it first the rest leave it alone and do something else....same with the putting the baby or toddler in the bed...if mom picks up the child first let her do it and the rest leave the poor child alone...i guess what i'm saying here is let them have a little concept of what is happening with each other...

Of all the many things it would be lovely to see possibly introduced in Sims3, I would really like to be able to wander without restraint through my Simmies world, throughout the neighborhood and even from 'hood' to 'hood'. And too, perhaps either including a usable AVI.tool or replacing avi with a more common mpeg or fileusage.  Yes I know, monsterpcs would be required to play the Sims then. It's practically that now though. ^o^  oxoLegion

First of all I would love to see shoes with out fits, better makeup than that clown crap they call make up.....The ability to have actual closets. more choices on tv, and instead of having to go out and the darn game freezing and then crashing having all the clothing options available in the closet.....Also i agree with Taylah about the clothing colors....Either get people with color coordination skills, hire fash designers or let em run nakey....LOL

I agree..I also think and this has probably been mentioned before that it would be nice for them to come up with dummy user friendly programs that allow you to color the furniture and bedding...and bodyshop you should be able to do a lot more with....Another thing i would like to see is more realisim in the body types, scars and stuff....I love the things these awesome creators mentioned above and more like them make but really, it slooooooows down the whole process....I would also like to see more real life scenarios played out in the chance cards...

1. Holy crap. One of my main gripes with Sims 1 was that the children had like NO CLOTHES. I was all, Oh, plainly this'll be remedied with Sims 2! I was WRONG. Clothes, people. Not all preppy clothes. Clothes in many styles and colours, and SHOES THAT MAKE SENSE for them. And I'm really, really hoping for some attempt to appeal to the 'period fashions' crowd. I ALWAYS have to download Medieval clothing, and Victorian clothing, and items for both. A little of this appeal was attempted in Sims 1, why not anymore?

2. More genetics. I LOVE the ideas people've had about genetic illness/deformity etc. The genetics always seem to work out in the worst possible way in Sims 2...

3. The ability to make your Sims... well. You know what I said about genetic illness/deformity? Why can't you make your Sim... not symmetrical? To put it more simply: OH JOSEPH MERRICK SIM, WILL YOU NEVER COME INTO REALITY?

4. Easier item-making. Remember how you could make paintings so easily in Sims 1? I miss that a lot. You have to download a zillion programs and do all these things with meshes and stuff to make anything for Sims 2...

5. More varied voices. It'd be horrible if the Sims spoke a recognisable language: they'd just say "OH HI THAR" on the phone over and over and over and over again. But have you noticed there's only a few voices for Sims? Only one for female adults, and one for male adults. Arg!

6. The ability to do more with creativity, and really all skill points. Singing = yes.

7. The ability to make Sims react to prettiness/ugliness.

8. Pretty much whatever everyone else's said about AI.

Post by: Tenshii~Akari on February 03, 2008, 07:13:34 pm
Well for the voices, I definitely agree with you... but there's actually two each for adults of both genders.  (Females have a higher pitched voice (newer type) and a lower pitched voice (the original voice from Sims 1), and for the males, one "stately" sounding voice (original voice from Sims 1), and one "preppy" sounding voice (newer type).)

Actually, I think there's more than that, and for each age and gender, too... it's just so frickin' hard to tell apart sometimes!  Kinda wish there was more noticeable variety in each, though.

I thought of something else i would like fixed....I have to make room for more than one door to bedrooms so i can lock them and say who can use that room...the parents have 2 doors one i lock for dad only and one for mom...i do this so kids don't get in parents bed and same with parents in kids so they basically go to their own rooms and beds....i wish their was a way to assign who can go in the room with only one door...and if u have 2 kids sharing a room u could assign the bed for a particular kid...and it drives me crazy that toddlers play in the toilet....i hope they find a way to stop that....
i would like to see the things u guys have mentioned of course....but i would like to see some of the really annoying things in the game now stopped...

Coming from someone with an autistic little brother, I would in NO way buy TS3 if our sim's kids could have mental or physical illnesses. Sims 2 is my ESCAPE from reality, and I don't see what would be fun about having my VIRTUAL characters suffering from tragic things in RL. Some ideas I do like, however:

-More age groups. I really want to see more realistic babies (cute wrinkles, better "cooing" sounds). I wish our sim's had to go to a hospital or a midwife to have their baby, and if the babies could have more animation. That would be cool.

-Also, it would be awesome if we could choose to visit our kids at school, or our adults/teens at work and be able to play them.

-Body shape and height sliders in CAS and Bodyshop. I'm getting sick of all my adult sims being the same height! :P

-For the most part, I don't mind downloading CC. I think the amount of stuff that Maxis/EA puts in their games is reasonable. Plus, I think creator's here and on other fansites make CC because its FUN! If the game just had everything in it, then what would be the point?

That's about it for now, I'm sure I'll think of something else. The "sneak peak" in Free Time looks okay, it kinda turned me off for some reason. I guess it'll just take some getting used to. ;)

Really i don't think there's any point to sims3,
i'v already spent lots of money on the sims 2 games and i'v spent alot of time downloading cc for too, and it would all just be a big waste of time if a sims 3 came out, i really think they should just keep advancing on the sims 2 games.

I don't want to go to work or school with my Sims.  Why do I want to see my business Sim sitting for 8 hours filling out paperwork?

While I think the different heights is a great idea they'd have to really work on how to have two Sims of different heights interact.  Different heighted Sims may end up kissing the other's neck or reaching to shake hands that don't quite  meet.

I'd love to see better hair for men.

Assuming we will wind up with lots of custom content that was never meant to be (fairy ears in the glasses category)  I'd love for this stuff to be geneticly linked.  I mean if I had a Sim who had to wear glasses, it would make sense that their kid might need glasses too.  So I'd love to see a bit of genetic link on things like this.

I love making fantasy Sims.  So I love the elf earred face mesh.  But what good are elf ears if 99% of the hairstyles hide the ears????  That is why I want accessories genetic linked so if I have elf ears on my Sim and they have a child they will have elf ears too without me having  to decide which of the half elf/half human children will get their mother's ears or not.

And I want randomly assigned aspirations and attraction points.  I have realized that most of my Sims have what I find attractive as their turn ons and turn offs.  Gets kind of boring really when all my Sims are kind of the same. I should say this should be a turn on or off feature so people who like a whole city of romance Sims can play their game the way they want.

I have noticed that townie sims are more apt to be sporting my custom content eyes and hair.  But not skintones.  I'd like to see the game randomly pop out a mutant.

And since Sims can change into work uniforms when they leave for work or change into winter clothes when they go outside, how about letting us select vacation clothes or date clothes that they change into?  Or randomly changing their outfit to other clothes in their wardrobe so our Sims don't wear the same thing all the time unless we make them change?

Among my many wants for the game, here's one that I really think we could all use:

A better organization system for buy and build mode content.

They were on the right track, but to me it would be great if there was a way to tag and/or organize large groups of related objects. Maybe a custom order view where you can place the objects in any order YOU choose, and then some standard ones that would be one-click options like ascending by alphabetical name or by price.

Perhaps some kind of binning system as well that you could name folders you create for items broken down by color or theme style. They sorta had this idea, but it was poorly poorly executed.

I'm saying this because it just got to a point where the random order of the thumbnail objects made specific items hard to find. Particularly if I had a whole room of coordinated pieces of furniture or what not. Then it was a treasure hunt to find them amongst the 4 GB of CC I could pull up in the game.

Oh and BIGGER thumbnails of build and buy mode stuff would be nice too.

-interactive fights.
-BETTER. MUSIC. (EA, you should try licensing ACTUAL music by ACTUAL people.)
-less exaggerated animations when you're playing games on the PC.
-animation creator.
-less blatant parodies of products.
-NO SecurROM.

I'd like to see the game have an option to be more or less realistic. For example, Sims could have car accidents on the way to work (sometimes fatal, sometimes not), and if they ARE fatal, Sims could still call up the Grim Reaper and bargain with him to get their loved ones back.... that is, if they wanted that Sim to live longer. They could even get traffic tickets and have to pay the fine. Really, I could give a MILLION examples, but suffice it to say, again, more realism. AND, I hope they carry over the ceilings feature from "Apartment Life". I've wanted THAT for foreverrrr!

EDIT: Oh, and one more thing... DIMPLES!

I like the idea of new voices.  I always wanted to be able to import a sound clip of someone talking and have it generate Simlish from there.  It wouldn't be exactly the same, but it'd be at least a bit closer than the other stuff.  Oh, that'd be so cool~ <333

...Though I'm not too thrilled about TS3 coming out.  If it can do the voice thing that I just mentioned, that'll be about the only reason why I buy/download it. >w>

I totally agree with the height thing! It drives me nuts that all the sims are the same height, not very realistic at all.  I would also like to see more realistic clothes options, and the idea that different stores sell different types of clothing rocks.  I also agree with the idea that toddlers and up should be able to interact with babies, and being able to take babies, toddlers and children shopping with you.  It would be so cool if we could go to work with our sims.  Basically everything that has already been said, plus I would like to see more options and objects for the npc's.

i'd like to be able to do more realistic things with my (of course i mean my sims) babies-childredn such as:
   - grounding/spanking ~some form of punishment
-being able to sit on the couch or chair while holding ur baby/toddler
and i've seen others have noticed all sims are the same HEIGHT. also i'd love to see more food options and clothing options like a full shirt or halter or tube top
i LOVE pandoraprincess80's idea of car accidents and traffic tickets
also i would like to be able to follow my sims to skool/work
also being able to just cruise around in your car is kool idea
i think i've given enough exs but needless to say i want my sims to have the option to be idk DIFFERENT
OHHH i almost forgot aging!: i would like to see them gradually get bigger over time instead of POOFING to another age. that would be awesome 2 me! birthdays should definately still happen but it shouldnt zap u to a different age group and CHILD SUPPORT!! and when ur female/male goes into labor she should get into an ambulance or at least a hospital they don't have to show pushing(obviously they're not gonna) but they can at least let her drive away to an ambulance with somebody/ somebody to stay with ne kidz that are already there and then put it on 3xx(speed) and then let her come back with a baby(s). And b4 the kid(s) r born she should be able to get an ultrasound and the hole 9 yards
and a hospital in general would b great dang i want alot i would also like furniture aging or u know getting stains on the floor/couch/clothes being able to wash clothes and stuff

I just read some of the things people sugested and I pretty much agree with all of them! All those things would be SO great, but dont you think Maxis has already thought of them? Chances are, as nice as all these things would be, most of us dont have systems nice enough to run the sims 2 as smoothly as we would like it to be the way it is. I dont know about you guys, but on my computor, i cant play the sims 2 for 10 seconds without at least a small lag. From what Ive seen of the sims 3, it looks fan freakin' tastic, but call me pessimistic, Im worried about how well it'll run on my computor. Even comunity lots lag like a mother for me. the sims 1 didnt lag at all on my computor, but thats becuase well.. it's not all that detailed with ages and stuff :P

I certainly hope for everyone's sake that custom content will be easy to make and share when Sims 3 comes out.  Like I said many times before, I'm not going to buy it as long as EA and Sony are still using SecuRom, but seeing as there's so many people that are hopeful for it, and the fact that the site itself will be making the transition also... it would defeat the purpose of having fun with the game our way if EA denied custom mesh making, etc.

1. you can walk around in your neighbor hood or get in your car and direct it.
2. houses and other buildings and lots show up next to or across from your house
3. motives dont drain to half every 10 seconds >.<
4. some motives show up at certain times (morning breakfast, night sleep, etc...)
5. being able to go to school or with one of your sims to their job, (i image school like university except with classes and stuff)

thats all i want :P

tbh im not sure about sims 3 i mean, with all the expansions most people got, it seems like a waste, after 3 comes out.... what are we gonna do with all these mods, ep's, objects etc...?:smt120

Title: What would you like to see In Sims3
Post by: Islasim on August 25, 2008, 04:03:42 am
I highly doubt that we will see this in Sims 3 but I would like to see The Sims working towards being combined with other Sims game like sim city so that for instance I can play a neighbourhood as a sim city, in sim city time and when I go back to my lot, the sims have aged up that amount of time.

It would be great to play in the sim city and receive notifications about events your sims are facing. For instance I could get a notice about one of my freshly graduated sims having been proposed to by another sim and I could choose whether she said yes. Or if my sim city was thriving maybe I would get a notice about one of my sims being offered a promotion due to the company's expansion. Or If there was a disaster maybe I could be given a list of casualties. Sims would be allocated to certain areas of the city depending on their income...there could be slums, posh neigborhoods, family areas etc. They would have to choose their house from those areas and would be able to move if their situation changed. The city could have royalty, mayors, politicians, celebrities etc. and our sims could be social climbers or whatever. If the city was full of crime we might find our sims being kidnapped, if the city had a lot of parks our sims would have better comfort and fun points. I guess something like this will take a lot longer to come about because it would only be fun if you could transition between the city and the lots VERY quickly and that would require a GOOD computer however I imagine the game being pretty cool if it was like this.

I sort of imagine it being a bit like civilisation where your goal is economic growth ans stability but where individuals can make a difference and make that goal more personal. I dunno maybe the high number of clever, happy students in the town would lead to an increase in population which in turn would strengthen the workforce and create room for more businesses...which in turn could open new career oppurtnities for our sims.

I have a feeling that Sims Societies is the first step in this direction but it seems to be aimed at children. I would love to see SIMS having a purpose.
At the moment the only thing that keeps me playing is the drive to create uniqe looking sims, I would totally love the game more if it had more direction

HOWEVER for sims 3, if I am realistic I would aks them to put in lots of scenarios, so many that we hardly every see the same ones.

Things like the teenage daughter getting pregnant and the parents being asked whether they want to help raise the baby, kick the teen out or put the baby up for adoption. Or maybe a single guy that sleeps around gets a message saying that one of his lovers has had a child and either give him the option to pay child spport or take full custody or have part custody or gosh ....who knowsss. Then again it could be a message saying that your soccer loving sim has recieved a sports scholarship and will therefore receive 5 free body points. Or maybe one day a sim will just decide to leave his wife and we get a message telling us that he found out about her having an affair with someone. I'm no really sure but the game should be more surprising and every family should have individual experiences.

OK IM FINISHED:-P

thanks for listening

Almost all of the things that have been mentioned are things I can really say I would like to see executed in this new game.

Additionally, it grows tiresome to have this grand story in your head, and so many obstacles in the way of expressing it.  For example, Olive Specter is portrayed as a murderess, however, killing other sims directly (without game mods) is not available.  Well, except for the cow plant-which lets said sim take on a sort of bystander approach to the whole murder concept.

I want to see an evil/mean sim actually be able to play out this personality in a more believable, less childish way.  I find it hard to believe that the most evil thing they can give us is stealing a newspaper, knocking over trashcans, or other frivolous "evil/mean" interactions.

In short:  WHERE'S THE CARNAGE?

I want them to be able to have more children and maybe triplets and quads that would be cool. I would also like it to more realistic because no one like its been said on this post eats food in the palm of there hand and no one kisses like that.

There should be more patterns and different varities of furniture. :D

I want to see more housing options.  One thing that drives me crazy about the Sims 2 is that you can't have different levels in a house.  Garages are sunken, but you can't connect them to a house with a foundation without cheats.  I use a lot of home plan books to create my houses and any of them that have garages have a ground-level garage and a house on a foundation.

I agree pretty much with everybodies lists, plus..

I guess my wish would be more randomness on each lot.  Dunno....
natural disasters, I want to see earthquakes, hurricanes, flooding...
 hoodlum teens stealing stuff,
 realistic police interactions,
neighbors that are annoying and complain about your landscaping,
phonecalls from bill collectors
I want to have the choice of going to work with my sim and micromanaging his career.
I think that would be fun specially criminal career... ;D
I think community services should have playable lots such as firestation, police dept, jail, hospital with maternity ward and normal childbirth that doesn't come out from above my sims head.

Plus more varied aspirations, with the ability to pick a "Major" and "Minor" aspiration (Which reminds me - university minors).

...And to support this all, better AI :smt120

pagecaek no offense to you and my fellow simmers the idea of simmers getting i'll and possibly die along with genetic i'llnesses is very offensive to me as i am a diabetic and with high blood pressure in my eyes that would be making fun of those who have genetic i'llnesses if that ever happened Ea would get a very and i mean a very angry response from me. :(

other then that you really have some great ideas. ;D

I don't think illnesses should be in the base game but as maybe an EP or something as some people might not want it. I mean how fun is it for someone with heart failure to play a game and see your favorite Sim die from the exact same thing? The Sims is a way of getting out of reality.
But I also think that it would be a cool way of making the game more realistic for people who actually want the game to be a pure life simulator (without witches and magic). And the creators of maxis would probably give it a funnier name like instead of STD's they would call it "woohoo sickness" just like PageCaek said in an earlier post. If they wouldn't be able to put anything realistic in it they would have to remove the flu, electrocution, drowning etc.

But, Feisty32, I totally respect your opinion and I hope you’ll respect mine too. We all got to have our own opinions

of course Micke i totally respect yours as well i just do not want those sims have to go through what i have to give myself 2 insulin injections everyday i don't think sims should have to do that. :(

i hope they put more dance options in the game even though i'm not buying it or playing it. such as
1.head banging
2.moshing like some do at metal concerts
3.break dancing
4.the hustle lol. ;D

The Sims 3 EA site says that this community the sims 3 is set in, sunset valley, was owned by the Goths and founded by the Landgrabs, so I am imagining that we will have these prominent families in our new games as well! :)
What I would also like to see is THE CALIENTE SISTERS becase they have always been faves of mine. I would like to see Ninas Hopeless romantic, shy, active and sporty chick in this game and Dinas lazy, gold diggin but super sweet self in it as well. If they dont give them to us, Ill just make them, but I thought it would be nice if they were already there and in the story.
I also want aliens. Theres a rumor going around that thier will be no aliens?!   {{{{{SADDNESS FILLS ME}}}}}  :(   :(   :(

concerts for teen sims to go to, hospitals, kid crushes, being able to go to your kids at school/ adults at work, more choice in height and weight, more age decision, like you can choose for kids ages 5-12 and toddlers  1-4, teenagers 13-17 ect.

"buyable" clothing
Wedding arch
Grocery delivery
No bad food in fridge
Gardeners

not to mention mostly what everyone else has already said  :D

MS did the same thing with Combat Sim 3, didn't make it compatable with the older games and made CC hard to do, the game bombed...

Title: Re: What would you like to see In Sims3
Post by: Tenshii~Akari on May 14, 2009, 06:50:48 am
They're probably going to include underwear in the pajama category... to be honest, from my standpoint the underwear was the most useless category in the game.  If all that was available for it was the option to sleep in underwear, then they might as well have been grouped in with pj's.  And even though the only other cases sims changed to their undies was after whoo-hoo in vanilla games and if you directed them to change via wardrobe/dresser,  there wasn't much use other than that.  I guess that's why they decided to nix it altogether... so I wouldn't be too shocked if you looked in the PJ category for Sims 3 and saw some supposedly "too-hot-for-normal-sleepwear" stuff mixed in.  :P

Title: Re: What would you like to see In Sims3

You have a good point now that I think about it Tenshii~Akari, I bet there will probably be undies mixed in with the regular PJ's catagorey..but wait I don't know if this was just fancy video/image editing but I watched one of the vids on the official site and I know I seen a sim wake up out of bed in something I would defiantly classify as workout wear :p so I wonder with the different personality traits if a certain kind of sim could sleep in any kind of clothes?

That's how it is, yes. Other than comical value, there wasn't ever any point in HAVING an underwear category: Sims don't actually use their underwear for anything except woohoo, anyway!

Title: Re: What would you like to see In Sims3
Post by: roerzman on May 16, 2009, 08:56:17 am
There certainly was one good point. It brought out the best in some of the artists. Anyway my sims always do it naked. It just ain't natural doing it in your undies.
As for the PJ. bit, apart from drunks and bums who on earth sleeps in their clothes or tracksuit?
That now brings us to that question that I haven't seen asked. In sims 1 it was play, in sims 2 it's woohoo, if by some chance it's included in this family targeted game, what are they gonna call it this time?
Any takers?

Does it still involve heaving bed covers with accompanying screeches or do they disappear into a pink cloud as per sims 1 base game?
Need to keep an eye on the family friendly orientation of this thing, can't have to have mommy having to cover little Johnny's eyes when they get romantic can we.

Sorry, roerzman, but people other than drunks and bums sleep in a track suit or their clothing. Depends on how cold it is out, how tired a person is, if they're even in a house or out camping, or if they've had to pull a sixteen hour shift seven days a week for three months. Been there, done that, was neither a drunk nor a bum. I am waiting for you to retract that statement/question.

Title: Re: What would you like to see In Sims3

No way.
But I have to agree with you on the point of shift work and long hours.
Drunks don't sleep in tracksuits because they don't have them, exercising is not on their list of priorities.
Bums might, probably the only clothes they own.

My remark was meant to be frivolous, I'm sure that the clothing issues is some thing that our talented creators will address in due time.
However on a lighter note, lingerie may not be such a good idea at this point in time, at least that is until someone figures out how to transform those Russian babushkas into something resembling western females.

If you want new clothing, visit the sims3 store. :)
First 15 outfits are free.
And you dont have to wait that long before you will get spammed with new clothing, its alot easier these days to create.
Already created my first alphaskirt :) to be released soon.

Call me odd, but I hate that there are no changing tables for the tots, and that diapers and bottles just disappear rather than lay around until they're cleaned up. I'd love to see a lot more for toddlers. It's my favorite life stage in that game....

lol I'm fairly new to the game, afraid to like it, afraid to hate it.  So I don't load it up often, but if it counts I would like to see the voice slider function converted for sims2 lol.  When I come up with something more related to the topic I'll add it later.  I just thought the voice slider would be badazz for sims2.

More toys and clothes for the kids.
More food options.
Swimming in those ponds!

I think that's it.  Overall, pretty happy.

What I would like to see in the sims3... this is an easy answer..

1. PROGRAM STABILITY!!
2. Patches that really FIX glitches without causing more problems.
3. Community / mod support like there is for sims2.  When the game become more stable the modders can crank out good stuff.

I have to second the above post.

Every time I think it's safe to start playing this game and getting back into creating custom content for it, another patch comes along and breaks something.

Another thing I'd like to see is more painting meshes in .package format.

How bout a game that works right out of the box, doesn't need patched constantly and actually looks good without needing to be modded heavily. But oh, silly me, EA doesn't give a rat's about us, the casual gamers when they can put the real emphasis on their sports and adventure games, right??
