jubelbelly - with the .package file for an object or skin mesh open in SimPE
locate the Geometric Data Container (GMDC) - select it in the top right
window - in the plug-in view at the bottom you will find the VertexCount
and FaceCount.  In some instance it may be too complicated or in a format
that SimPE's calculator does not understand.  But you can usually get the
number from the window below the Counts.

I need to download a file call "Managed Direct X 9c (only if you want to work with Meshes)" to make it show up in Simpe. The file was found here.

http://sims.ambertation.de/ - once on the site go to DOWNLOADS and agree to the EULA then the file is available under Needed Software to run SimPE

very cool, thank you!  I changed the link to just the root URL and added the need to go to the Downlods page and agree to the EULA.

From what I can see - you only need the update to DirectX if you are using Windows XP (no SP), Windows XP SP1, Windows 98, Windows Millennium Edition, or Windows 2000
