UPDATE 070-01-2006: fixed an issue with the top and bottom nude meshes, there was a thin gap at the waist that I didn't notice first with my old graphics card; you should re-download the MESHES_athlete_nude.rar, the files will overwrite the former ones.

If you have a previous version, replace it with this one: there was a serious issue with the uv-map that needed to be fixed.

Just the four Maxis skintones for now, linked to the athlete mesh so he keeps his bodyshape when nude. Don't forget to download the needed specific meshes!

I also uploaded the nude clothing - the mesh is included in the .rar file.

Anyway, you can make your own recolours of these; the improved uv-map allows the use of every skintone I know about.

When you stated " a previous version" do you mean for this specific mesh? or for any of the meshes... I think I have the muscle mesh installed so will this affect me if I download this one? I know this sounds stupid but I have over 7000 downloads and I'm not trying to mess any of them up... LOL

AERJr: Just the meshes that were released for this series at MTS2 prior to the date of this post.  There were small stretching problems on the chest that are now corrected in this release.

So if you downloaded the skintones/meshes earlier, all you need to download now are the meshes for this series.

 I think it did but here goes... I took a look into my downloads folder and the only "athelete" mesh I have is for the bottoms and the tops... so is it safe for me to go ahead and download all these files?

Well, you're right, I noticed that recently myself... When I made these skintones I expected the issue, but I still had my old graphic cards and it didn't show at all.

So it looks like I'll have to release fixed meshes... Okay, I'll try to do that really soon, it shouldn't be a big deal. Thank you for reporting so I can't conveniently forget about it! :D

Marvine that's an excellent job!! COngrats! BUt pleeeaase...can you do this with Beosbox or Simcribbling's skins?? I hate maxis defaults!:pale:

Unfortunately Louis has a policy against this sort of thing, so there is no way we can do that; you can make your own by using BodyShop and copying the textures from the beosboxboy skintones over the textures of the athlete base.

I understand :) So in the spirit of not being lazy (and while i wait for the one with your skins Beosbox, hehehe) i tried to do this with Simpe and got real confused, then i readt again your post and saw BODYSHOP inside your words -_- so i'll try that now hehehe. So one question, is there any special instruction i should follow? And will the mesh still be linked to the skin i replace'? O_O THanks!!

if you copy the beosboxboy skin's BMPs into the athlete - it will keep the mesh linking

These don't replace the Maxis defaults, they are linked only to the skintone.  You simply make Sims with these skintones and you have the meshes in the nude state.  This is not to be confused with clothing that simulates nudity.

Marvine & I have not made Maxis default replacements in the interest of offering more body variety rather than limiting it.

Only by wearing clothing in the Athletic guy series.

Hi and thankyou very much for these athletic meshes, absolutely awesome of course.

I just have a couple of questions.  I have downloaded all the meshes for this type including the nude bottom and top.  Now these are showing in my CAS.

Are they supposed to be there so when they take a shower, they will stay with the athletic type?

I just wanted to know as they do show up in CAS and I am assuming when buying clothes they will show up there as well.

As long as I have downloaded these properly, in the usual downloads folder, then I will be fine?

You are right - these meshes are for "shower-proofing" the sims - you select these skintones in CAS/CAF and the sim is athelte shower-proof.  You have to use athlete clothing to get the body shape in the non-nude state.

i'm having some minor issues when recolouring these skintones. :sad4:

i discovered that there is a gap in the waist in the fat, nude state. this happens in every skintone for the athlete mesh that i have. below in the picture you see fat, nude state with ju athlete light, louis mid and my recolour, @stefan's realistic skintone, dark. (in that order)

i have all the (updated) meshes required. at least i think so. i have downloaded the latest and checked the date on them.

could i still be doing something wrong?

hi sorry guys but im new, i downloaded the athlete and he didnt look as good as he did in the other screenshot,( like if i changed the skin they would look exactly the same) , but when i downloaded the hbb mesh it worked.

I have the new meshes, and I still notice a very small rip between top and bottom. Do you too and just think it's very insignificant, or do you really see no more tear? I think I have all the correct meshes installed.

I have been away from this site for ages, and I understand much has changed and apparently our marvelous Marvine/Ju has moved on from doing Sims stuff *sad sigh* -- but... is there anyone out there that might have an undying love for the Athlete that I do that may have a few other meshes for him?  I am willing to copy clothing over the meshes in Body Shop as that's about all I can do.  I don't know how to mesh, I have never seen, much less used, a 3D program of any kind, and I don't have PhotoShop.  I just take basic meshes and copy other clothing over it in Body Shop.  And sometimes it works well.

I need an Athlete mesh that is basically nude top with pants.  What's here I can use for suits with jackets, but I'm not a big fan of baggy/cargo pants.  Ages ago I had a mesh for athlete with some tight jeans (gods that was hot!) but I have no idea what happened to that.

So... if there's anyone out there that may have something like this, you will have my undying worship forever.  I hate how skinny Maxis men are, and the BB is just a tad too big for my personal tastes.  If any of you know of a whole body mesh (with the nice bum detail/jeans) I would be forever grateful.
