This woman has endured much over the last five years, and will celebrate being cancer free for five years in January.

And as TenshiiAkari12 pointed out, remember that your chances increase if someone in your family has the disease. Contact your doctor about what you can do to prevent or detect it while still in the early stages. Title: In support of the strongest woman I know Post by: harrtenn on October 17, 2006, 10:18:37 am I stopped in to the site this morning to take my mind to a different place and instead was reminded of how many people are affected by this disease. My mom just passed away Sunday 15th of October at 10:00pm she was trying to fight the disease and lost.She only made it through her 2nd round of chemo and her heart just couldn't take any more. We were able to bring her home for her final hours her family at her side, she was comfortable and took her last breath in peace, and surrounded by Love. She was 75yrs old and survived by her husband of 58yrs and many children and grandchildren.

I'm surprised nobody else has asked this, but can you make a pin for the males to wear? I have a pink ribbon magnet on my car. My mum died of cancer when I was 14 (27 years ago now) and my dad who is now 80 has fought hard and long for many years against prostate cancer. I dont look at the gloomy "I could be next" side but rather the "hey Im okay" side. Its too easy to slip into the negative and worry about what may never happen I think. Life is short so we should enjoy what we have today! And today we have these lovely creations for our Sims, thank you muchly :cool:
