**If you are using my more pets mod & the 12 sims max version of this mod then remove the file "MorePets.package" & download "MoreFamilyMembers&Pets12.zip"**  

This mod allows you to have up to 10 or 12 sims and pets combined,
 It will not allow more than 6 pets however.
 
EP4 is required to use this mod.

I'm always impressed by how quickly people start updating their mods!

I know that ea games programed in a pet+sim limit to the lots (I think it  was no more that 10 pets and sims combination). Does this mod effect pet limits, total limit, or just sim limit? (Is this confusing? I'm not thinking my clearest today, and I sometimes talk in circles on a good day. Oops, rambling. Sorry.)

hummm the pb is it : i have a family 4 adults, 1 child, and one adult is pregnant, and 2 cat & 1 dog, i trying to associate an other family : 3 adults and 1 cat but that dont workin and when i invite 1 person of neighborh that s don t work too :'(:'(:'( is it the good stuff i had made or an other apply is needed ? i had put the downloaded file (and unzip it) in my documents\eagames\sims2\download folder

Hey, I just noticed this playing - I have the 12 hack downloaded, and I currently have 8 sims (2 adult, 2 teen, 3 child, 1 toddler) and 2 pets (1 dog, 1 puppy) and the option for "try for baby" wasn`t there for my 2 adults. So I tried the adoption by phone, and that option *was* there. I`m not 100% sure if "try for baby" was there when I first downloaded the updated hack, it kind of seems like it was. I re-downloaded it and see if anything changed, but I thought I should leave this in case anything needs changed!

Thanks again for the wonderful mod though, its great aside from that!

(ps- with the old nosizelimit I never had any try for baby conflicts, in case it helps!)

Leyla are either one of your sims near becoming an elder... if so then they won't have that option.

Hm, no I believe they have like 12 days each until then. I typically manually control aging, which is I guess the weird part since it really feels like I saw the option at first, but I can`t say 100% that I did because I just didn`t really pay attention.

Sorry this was requested before and it cannot be done.  You can use the move-in option though at any time to move-in complete families along with this mod.

I've just installed the 12-family members mod instead of the 10.  But I can't get it to work.  

Got a family of 10 (no pets), and when I invite an 11th sim to move in, I get a message saying there's no room, I'll have to move someone out.

Is the 12-family member version working for everyone but me?! *sob*

No, ilikefishfood, ur not the only one who can't get the 11th person to move in.. i thought i was the only one having that problem, no i see that i am not.

I think they changed how family size works in Pets.  I have a family with 8 sims and noticed when the two adults were relaxing in bed that they had the try for baby option available still.  I thought I must have put squinge's hack in already and forgotten about it (I've been slowly adding hacks back in since I've gotten Pets for an early Christmas present), but later I checked and the hack wasn't actually installed.  I read about this happening to someone else on the inteen forums too, and Jase said that it wasn't the inteen that allowed it, it's just how the game is now with Pets.  You can read what Jase says about it here: http://box156.bluehost.com/~aestudi1/forums/inteenimater/viewtopic.php?t=411

So, anyway, I think that the 10 sims mod might be obsolete now and the 12 sim one might need some more changes to be able to work with Pets.

Edit: And to jermz12, it will still only be 8 sims when you create a family, the mod only allows you to have more family members by having babies or inviting to move in.  I'm pretty sure it's still hard-coded this way even in Pets, and nothing can be done about it, unfortunately. :(

I just did a little test WITHOUT this mod in. I created a family of 8 sims and though the option to try for baby was still available, after 20 tries the sims never got pregnant.  So I made another 2 sims family, made one of the member bestfriend with the 8 family one and though the option to propose move-in was there, when I tried it says I cannot have more than 8 sims living on the lot.  

Without any mod, you can have up to 10 sims/pets living on the same lot but not more than 8 sims + 2 pets or 7 with 3 pets or 6 with 4 pets etc...

So the 10 sims version is still usuful.

I used inSIMenator's "family tree" to add the other two family members.  I now have 12 people living on the lot (no pets).  So far, so good.  Will let you  know if my game implodes.  lol!

Ilikfishfood, I just tried the 12 version and it does not work for me either, the 10 works perfectly but not the 12 one.

I am sending my test report now to Squinge hopefully he can fix it soon but it is the holiday right now so it might not get to be fixed until after the new year.

That is normal this mod doesn't allow more family members to be created in CAS.

If anyone is interested, there is a cheat so that you can combine families to more than 12 people from the neighboorhood view.  But thanx alot for your hack Squinge.  It really opened up all this to me.  You can't move in more than 12 people at once but you can move in people one at a time.  Right now I have a household of 13.  I moved in 6 to a 4 person home and then 2 more to that and than 1 more.  Here's the site for more info on userStartup.cheat.

After adding 13, I tried again and kept getting message that you can not add more than 12 people so that is weird.  There is still the option of using the boolProp testingCheatsEnabled or the insimenator to make vistors selectable which adds them to your household list therefore giving more than 12 people.

Not sure if I am too late to report and thank for the latest hack as the thread is getting old. I have just asked my finance to move in with her toddler, 1 adult wolf and 3 puppies. I already have a son, 2 adult wolves and 3 puppies. Yay, my house is full and all worked!! Thanks again Squinge (hugs)
