Title: A milkshape question.

Hello,
 I'm new to your site and hope that I have put this in the right place.  I'm trying to create my very first mesh.  I used WDS BriAnna  tutorial and I'm now at the part where she says...be creative. :)

I'm trying but I'm a little fuzzy on how to get the program to do what I want it to do.  I succesfully closed the front of my jacket bottom, but  now I need to know how to create a raised  area that would go down the front of the jacket.  I also want to alter the lapels to be broader and zig zag down to the suit front.

Any help that you all g could give me would be greatly appreciated.  {And yes, I d/l'd the tutorial found here. :)}

Thanks CiaB

Well without seeing what you have done, or knowing more about what you have done, I am unsure how to advise...did you alter the poly/vertice count of the mesh?  If not then your probably still okay...there is no good explanation for helping to understand how to do something...it is so much trial and error...if you can get some pics (using screen caps) and posting them here,I can try to help point out things.

This is the mesh I started with.  All I wanted to do for starters was to close the jacket at the bottom.  I drew on the part I changed to make it easier for you to see.

This is what I ended up woth after I tweaked the shoulders a bit[I don't want them to slope inward], and closed the jacket.

And lastly A picture to help you better get understanding of what I'm trying to do.  This is what I hope to end up with.

I've been experiment with trying to shift the collarline a bit, but the results have been evil. [I end up with indents in the mesh.]  I hope that this helps you to help me. :)

With what your wanting to do...you will need Wes's plugin so you can add polys/vertices...The plugins are on mts2...understand that when you use those, if I am remember right, the mesh will no longer be able to go fat, or fit...it will always be, what it is...if that is acceptable, then by all means give it a shot, but do something small first, check out the results in game, before committing to a complete outfit.

You can also make the buttons and other things in a paint program
and have them still look realistic especialy if you can apply bump mapping.

Bigger breasts are fun....you would select the breasts and enlarge them. It can be a bit time consuming to get them perfect.
