why cant Brandi Broke have any girl babies?!?! I felt sort of bad because she was living with her 3 sons (the third baby she had was also a boy) and i resurrected Skip so she could possibley have a girl. So the first baby they had after resurrection was a boy so I made her get pregnant again and she had another boy. Then, I thought maybe it was the combo of Skip and her genes or something that made her keep having boys. So, I made her have a baby with Don Lothario but guess what.... it was a boy! I felt horrible after all that because she was living in the tiny trailer home with 6 men (Dustin had moved out when he became an adult). Has anyone ever had her give birth to a girl in their game?!

I have....I forget who the father was....and it was before I had any hacks.

Brandi has girls for me, after the 3rd boy is born.

just save before she gives birth and exit without saving if she has another boy (after she has the 3rd boy)

keep re-loading the lot till you get a girl...

I have a family like that. One daughter and four boys. Next time she gets preggers I'm going to keep reloading until she has a girl. :laugh:

also, i tried saving before birth and then just reloading the baby atleast 10 times with her and she kept popping out boys! maybe ill try making her preggers with some random NPC or something :P

It isn't just you... I've never had her have a girl either. But I don't play the Brokes too often anymore though...

Brandi Broke, I guess she's called 'Wendy Blut' in my Dutch game.
Anyway I managed to get her household back in order.
I moved her and the kids to a bigger house after she had enough money.

She stayed single and never got married again.
After the boys moved out she had two more babies, both girls.
I didn't plan for her to have girls, she just kept walking around all day with a baby want.
Now she is a grandmother and has seven grandchildren.
She's still single but living together with her youngest daughter.

There is one funny thing I noticed about her.
The neighborhood has now 49 families and when I create a new family,
guess who will mostly likely welcome them.
Yes nine out of ten times Brandi (Wendy) is there to welcome them.

She's one special lady, and will stay in the game for a long long time. ;)

she married to a guy named Chip in my game and had twin girls Jessica and Hannah

In my game I moved her into a bigger house b4 she gave birth, made her marry Adrian (Hunk on Insim), made a nursery all pink and have her sleep in there. She soon gave birth to TRIPLET girls all gorgeus adults today

Brandi had had a risky woohoo with several different people (without the try for baby option showing) and she had a girl-gorgeous she was too-I had to wait for her to be born though before I could see who the father was. It was like being on a Jerry Springer "Who's the Daddy" show :rofl:

I'm not joking. ALL boys. The last four names are from a book I once read, Watership Down? Yes, it was that. Heh. And I did a breeding experiment like this: one mother, two girls from CAS, had SEVEN boys and one girl!! And she died afterwards -literally- All the kids got taken, it was so funny (and, well, long too, but yeah) Can't remember their names, but I remember they were born in a quadlet, two single births and twins.

I am forced to create girls in CAS. But I don't mind, girl sims rock, and I am so much more creative with them. I never post on the "male sims" board lol. But I have more in-game sims the CAS so I have more males in my 'hood.

I am thinking of playing Brandi Brooke Sim out of idle curiousity.  I normaly don't play the sims that came with the game or the eps.

just a question, when did brandi's husband die? because i remember, correct me if i'm wrong, that when i played her family, the 2nd boy was still a baby and when he grew up into a toddler, she became pregnant again with another baby. i thought she was getting fat so i told her to exercise but she wouldn't. then finally she gave birth and i was like "you sl*t!" kidding... i mean... was she pregnant before her husband died?

i thought that her husband died before she gave birth to Beau but i could be wrong. So then i wondered how did the third baby get made.

So i got insimenator downloaded and it said the father was Skip Broke. So i'm confused.

That's right-I think Maxis cut a few corners! Its like the Bella Goth mystery! He did die before Beau was born...........maybe he left a "present" in the freezer with a turkey baster :dontknow:

There's actually a reason for having all boys, if you did. I notice the people that moved lots were able to have girls, but those who had boys didn't say anything about moving.
It's been thought that as long as Brandi stays on that lot, she'll have all boys.

poor brandi... not only is she broke but she's stuck with three cute but really naughty boys... i wonder if she'll give me one.

I had a girl whilst on the lot-her 4th child was a girl. I read somewhere that it was something to do with the male/female ratio in the neighbourhood-the game tries to make it even. It sounds plausible-but unsure if its proven.

ha ha!  My poor Brandi is still stuck in that house, surrounding by her boys, still without a partner and still skint!

A really good book and cleverly written too. I didn't much like the film though, maybe because I read it first. Maybe I'll re-read it, and study the plot more carefully, but yeah, I loved it. Can see why it's not everybodys cup of tea though.

I must have a freak game, then. I have far more boys than girls! Some of my guys are getting a bit desperate! lmao

About 8/10 of my in-borns are male. But I create girls in CAS.

Well, that's one solution to the How-did-Brandi-get-pregnant-the-third-time-when-Skip-died-before-Beau-was-born mystery I didn't think of. :laugh:

Mine too! With the exception of Dustin, she makes pretty cute kids that turn into nice looking adults-well they do if you have a nice default skin anyway!

This seems to happen in my game too (though I don't play the Broke's - I think I deleted that neighborhood).  I let my sim get pregnant using the ACR mod, and she had four girls one after the other, then finally had a boy (but I saved before she gave birth, because I didn't want anymore girls, so who knows what she might have had lol).  I always thought that it had something to do with the mods that I was using (with OFB Insim, I always had boys through the Reproductive Mod, but I assume that this is a coincidence) but maybe my sims are just "lucky" like that :).

I always thought Dustin made a not bad looking adult.

Ooh-I think he's awful! Beau looks ok, I gave him the cherub blonde curls and glasses, and Bobby (the 3rd boy) has Seomi's or Louis's long fringie thingy cut-looks cute. I honestly don't think he has the same DNA as Skip-I wonder if Maxis got Brandi pregnant with herself (as per bool prop) for the 3rd one as he is the best out of all 3.

I'm having the opposite in my Pleasantview.
They keep getting girls, I actually created a family with boy twins, because I really want some biological kids when they all grow up.
I've had 3 natural twins already in that neighborhood (1 inteen-twin, which was 2 girls x.x), two of them were two girls and one was a girl and a boy.
I'm desperate for some boys. '-'

When i played her she had a miscarriage with her 3rd baby, so i had her have a fling with Don Lothario and she had identical twin girls.

He's called Skyeling in my game (a cross between "Skye" and "Darling") and from him onward, every one of their children has had black hair. Since the "third child" wasn't naturally creted, this is a plausable theory (boolProp) Gee, Maxis are such cheater-corner-cutters!

I've had the same experience with the many Brandi's I've played having boys only. I've moved her to different homes, married her off to different guys and still boys only!

I don't know about the game I playing now(cause I had a crash and had to re-install) but my other game I had Alien twin boys who grew up, one of them married brandi, I gave her a makeover, and she popped out 2 boys, then a girl, the boys were great, 1 alien features, 1 not. The girl was alien pretty, but a real brat.

I know I'm the starter of this thread who said that I've never had Brandi have a girl... but I got her to. After the third boy was born (the mysteriously-concieved one) I was sure that Brandi wouldn't have any girls so I made her adopt and I kept saving and reloading to get a good looking child girl. She got one and I renamed her Anneliese. I forgot to mention that she got preggers by Don Lothario before adopting Anneliese and she had her 2nd trimester bump. A few days later, Brandi gave birth to an adorable little girl that I named Lina... ironic, huh?


So, I suppose it all depends on the father when it comes to Brandi's childrens' genders. Woops... waste of a thread =(?

Actually what worked for me was resurrect Skip and the 3rd child is born a girl.  Well it worked for me.

Theres some sort of autonomous action that she could only have boys.

BUT ... i ALSO ressurected Skip, and their third child was a girl, I was so shocked!

I don't think there is an autonoums action, its just that her 3rd is a clone of her so will always be a boy.

This is for Charlotte.  Charlotte, you said that Brandi had a miscarriage in your game.  How did that happen?  I didn't know they could have miscarriages in the game.  Was it a mod you used or what?

As the others have said, it's possible for her to have girls, and it's actually possible to have a girl for the third child if you bring Skip back! Before Brandi even got her first bump, I used Simp PE to bring Skip back to life. Once he was alive and back in the family, I played the lot and was very surprised when the 3rd child was born a girl! I looked at the family tree, and it properly linked the baby to Skip, and had his genetic contribution. When she later grew up, she looked a lot like him!

After Brandi had 3 guys on my computer, I've married her to that black guy in Pleasantview (forgot his name :S ) and they had twin boys. Then, they had another boy. And then she was cheating on her husband with Don Lotario and she had twin boys again... Oh well.

i just found out that when you first play brandi she is pregnant

Brandi in my game had 14 children and three husbands. i got her to start having girls after her 9th boy, I killed her second husband off, married her off again and she had three girls and one boy before she herself died.

My Brandi had 10 children half boys half girls. I also resurected Skip.

My Brandi had a girl after I made a sim for her.  I felt bad cuz she was lonely.  so I made her a nice hunky sim and they moved into a better house.

I got Brandi to have a girl (two as a matter of fact) after she had her third boy. I forgot who I married her off too....it was some random Townie Sim. I haven't played her lot in ages.

I can't resurrect (Did I spell that wrong? If I did, sorry.) Skip(p?) Broke. Do any of you have any idea why? I got on my game one day and all the Pleasantview defaults forgot all their relationships but still have their memories. I have no conflicting hacks (I checked and removed any conflicting hacks) but it's just so weird. I invited Mortimer over and he had NO clue who Dina was, same with Dustin, Angela, Cassandra, ect..
Please respond. I'm very new and a very big newbie at posting things.

According the programming, you can resurrect all the dead sims who have a tomb in any of the hoods. Skip doesn't have a tomb (like Bella), therefore you can't resurrect him.

You can do it using the SimPe, but it's a complicated procedure, and I don't recommend it. Besides, he is a Romance sim (Brandy is a Family), and a lot of "troubles" will follow.

Usually, I create a custom sim, and match him to Brandy. As Brandy is an Aries, she fits with Gemini or Taurus. Knowledge or Fortune sim will be quite faithful to Brandy.

I've always heard people saying that it's hard to resurrect sims with SimPE yet I've never had a problem with it. You can always reprogram the sim in question with the cheat system, you know, unlockCareerReward and get the one thingie that allows you to change a sim's aspiration, but make darn sure you've got the one in question at gold range or above or you've got a grilled cheese maniac on your hands.

And yeah, I do use the InSimenator hack to achieve resurrection of Bella and sometimes Skip, even though it's unsupported. I just have to remember to go in with SimPE and muck about with their memories a bit and their tokens, such as the "I am dead" token because if you don't get rid of that, they'll just fade out like so much smoke. Of course, once I do bring them back, I use them to cause a great deal of havoc in the neighborhood... She gets back with her husband, Skip takes over with one of the Caliente sisters while Don gets a satellite on the head unless I put him with Brandy... Oh, the nasty things I do just for some entertainment at times.

Sure fire way to resurrect a dead sim is by using boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true, shift clicking on a sim and going to the "spawn" menu. From the spawn menu, select Tombstone of L & D (Life & Death) From here, you can resurrect any dead sims in the neighborhood. First order of business is bring Skip back from the dead. From the resurrect sim option, cycle through all of the names of dead people until you reach Skip, then choose him. He'll appear on the lot soon after. If it's Brandi you're trying to hook him back up with, make sure to do all of this on her lot. What you do next is choose "Add Neighbor To Family" from the tombstone and cycle through all the selections until you find Skip. (Depending on how many sims you have in your Pleasantview, it might take a while to get to his name.) Select him, and Skip will linked back to Brandi. All that's left is that darn "I Am Dead" token. But there's two ways to get around that WITHOUT the use of SimPE. They go as followed:

Method 1

When Skip's been brought back, make him controllable. You can do this either withe testingCheats, insim or the blender. Go to a computer or PC and choose "Find Own Place" and move Skip (Or whatever dead sim you're trying to keep alive) to the Sim Bin.
When Skip's left the lot completely...as in gotten in the cab, and is no longer present on the lot AT ALL, save and exit. When you go back out to the hood, Skip will be in the sim Bin exactly as how he was when you brought him back, but he'll be a fully functional sim again, WITHOUT the dead token. You can move him back into Brandi's lot, or where ever you wanna put him, and use whatever mods to patch up his relationships with his family. With this method, Skips memories will be everything that happened up until he died. So he'll have no memories of anything that's happened since that fateful day his stupid self fell off that ladder.

Method 2

Method 2 is probably easier, but a lot messier. You follow the same steps to bring the deceased sim (Skip) back to the lot your playing. Once he's back on the lot...KILL 'EM!!! Yea that's right...you have to kill Skip AGAIN. Do this however you see fit. Starve him. Electrocute him. Set him on fire...whatever. You can choose from all deaths available in game from the tombstone, so choose one and watch him get whacked. The Grim Reaper will show up to take Skip back to the great beyond. Pretty cut and dry from this point. Simply do the mini game with grimmy to save Skip's soul. Win it, and Skip gets brought back to life legit, with no death token. Once he's been brought back the honest way, you can save and exit without worry that he'll disappear when you return to the lot. Difference with this method is when he's resurrected the legit in game way, he'll MIRACULOUSLY have memories of every event that's happened within the Broke family from the moment you 1st fired the game up. Meaning he'll have memories of every point of progression in the lives of Brandi, Beau, Dustin and child #3 if he's been born when you bring Skip back.

I've used both methods (Method 1 for Skip, method 2 for Bella) and both worked perfectly. My version Skip has been reformed to a family man, and a top level chef that rakes it in BIG. They ain't all that "Broke" in my Pleasantview. And yes, I managed to get them to have a girl using the tried and true method of saving RIGHT before Brandi was about to give birth, then exiting the lot, and going back. Took several attempts, but I lucked out and the game generated a female off spring with Skip's straits (Blond hair and so on.) Brings a whole new meaning to the term "planned parenthood"...lol.

Thanks for that info, kaoz, I'm going to try that out the next time I start my neighborhood folder fresh! Silly question here, will that work with Bella, as well? Method two, that is.

Both methods work for any of the previously deceased sims in a neighborhood, even dead townies. But why on EARTH would you wanna bring a townie back to life?

It's just a matter of if you want said resurrected sim to have memories of their family's progression following their demise or not.
