Well, Beosboxboy at least has issues with that, and he barely recovered enough to help me with the recolours...
But if I'm to make the whole family, I didn't have a choice. :D
The animations aren't perfect, it took me ages to figure out an acceptable compromise, but once more I reached the limits of the existing tools. You're welcome to recolour - I also uploaded the uv-map - as usual don't redistribute the mesh!

The way the game handles it there should be no problem with making the female toddlers; the teen-elder part will be more tricky.

for the moment, it is - there will be a true teen male (not one "borrowing" the adult male mesh) soon -- if this disturbs your aesthetic sensabilities you can change the age group with SimPE.

Yes, all ages are planned, but for technical reasons the chidren and teen need a lot more work than the previous meshes, and I'm quite busy in RL these days... I should release them in January.

Well, I didn't make a specific elder mesh, but the latest version of the merman is enabled for YA, adults and elders - and it works okay, so I'm not sure an elder mesh will be needed.

I'm eager to build a mer-family, even without the "diaper problem" being solved. I look at it this way: frogs are "born" with tails, which then develop into legs. It's believable enough that Merbabies are born with legs, that develop into tails when they become toddlers.

beoxboxboy bobbruinelle at gs2c has a hack that allows you to select a nude mesh without a linked skintone. I personally cant get it to work but thats not the point. He also has a baby nude mesh for males and females I deleted the rest of the files he had and just kept those and now when my sims have babies they are born nude (unless I have twins in which case only one is born nude the other is born in a diaper). It could just be chance that they are born nude seeing as I havent tested it or anything and I have only had 3 children one baby boy and twin baby girls. Im not sure if this could help you in any way but if it can then I am glad to have helped.

Oykawoo, thanks for the tip - in fact I've been thinking about that, but I know that Bobrunlille is quite busy these days. But since you reminded me, I'l still ask him what he thinks,wether he could add the merfolk bodyshape to his hack or a make a separate one without compatibility problems; but I also know that he's still working on his coding and learning along, and it's a huge work.

Avatar_earth, I don't have the slightest idea why this particular mesh doesn't work for some people... But I'll upload an alternative package with all GUIDs changed, hoping this fixes the issue.

im a newbie and i cant get these downloads to work no matter how hard i try! I have downoaded and installed these files (and those of all the other age groups)into saved sims and downloads. I also tried to use them in bodyshop but that didn't work either help. They are so cute and they are not working!!!!
