When I first got my hands on TS1 I was hooked.  I would play that game whenever I could.  My favorite expantion (one of them anyway) was the sims makin' magic.  I would love to see that in TS2 maybe not the next EP but eventually I would love to.  Is there any TS1 EPs that you would like to see in the next TS2 EP?

Hmmmmm, Vacation probably. But we kind of seem to be getting that with Seasons. Super Star? I dunno, I never got the last two eps. I waited for Sims 2 to come out. Heeeeeeeeee.

Superstar would be an awesome TS2 EP.  I've never had the sims vacation for TS1.  But, it seems like that would be a cool one too.

I'd like to have Meking Magic. But..........with a bit MORE magic in it! lol

I loved MM.I would like to have the spinnwheel(spelling?),the butter chum and the wine maker thing for sims2,some cristals maybe,one to make a sim attractive to every other sim,one to change eyes colour,one to make everybody to want to talk with the sim,etc.I'm missing the music when you builded houses in the magic town,the vendors, the spells.I would love to use working magic items with OFB.To sell edible butter or wine.I think all the hacks are MM items.If they are formed like christals,amulettes,or whatever magic thing it would make the game so exciting!Some witch or warlock could sell them,Voila`!

I wasn't into it. It completely changed the whole game style. Along I did like turning them into frogs, thats just about it. It was more for LOFR and Harry Potter Fans, If anything that should be the last EP they create. :)

Sounds like it would add a whole lot more to the storytelling though :D For those of us wanting those elements of course ;)

I've never had MM for Sims 1, I only had Livin' Large and Unleashed, so I really don't know. But vacation always looked cool, so I wouldn't mind that.

Oh guys what I was wondering, what romantic activities that came with Hotdate in Sims 1, were also introduced in Nightlife? (like the thing where they could carress each others feet)

as suprising as this may be but not everyone is into rock music. Maybe just a superstar ep with everything from movie stars, models to musicains. That would be cool.

Ooh, magic! Thats what id REALLY love. I adored it in TS1, and im just keeping everything X'd that we get it for TS2!!!

I would really love magic and some rock sims, like John Lennon and some of the other classic rock performers. Jim Morrison from the Doors would be good, too!

Actually, I'd prefer it if Maxis came up with some new ideas. Making Magic and Superstar bored me senseless.

Anything that includes changable infant clothes and a saxophone (or many more instruments) is fine by me.  I'll never come off of that until EA makes it happen.  :angel:

Oh, I miss playing MM. Especially the drunk gnomes, they were always good for a laugh, although, quite annoying after a while.

i remmeber once, i when to the superstar town(had all but unleased, and hot date) and i met angela sombody, and i turned her into a frog! then thatt weird little guy came and yelled at me. that was funny. i then when around and killed off every celeb that was more famous then my simself that looked nothing like me( looked just like Kurt Cobain, and he was a rockstar sim!) i had a celeb gravyard, then i goit sims2, and haven't played it since. the guy who turn sombody into a toad, was this freaky goth guy, who must have been married 10 times, before he killed off his famous spouse. that was a blast.

So,as the hacks can be considered as magic items,I made a magic shop and I'm seling the Insimenator objects,the skills adjustor,the toddler trainer,all of them.But they cost 1 dollar,so I had to set own price,manualy,60 to 80 dollars each(hard to click 60 times per item).Everybody buys everything and this time,they can use the things.The fortuneteller maried an elder and they run the magicshop together,they don't make a lot of money but they are doing fine.It would be so good to have the butterchum and the spinnwheel and the wine thing for Seasons!

I have sims of all the Beatles and they aren't too bad, but I would like to see all of the classics in a rock expansion. Including David Bowie.

aw yes Bowie, but we need him in his Ziggy Stardust form also.

I really enjoyed Makin' Magic.  After a while going to the lots to get all the ingredients for the spells got to be bothersome so I downloaded mods so I wouldn't have to.  Otherwise it would've taken forever to see a beanstalk grow and as it was I never did see one get really big.

I thought the objects in MM were the best!  I loved the butter churn, spinning wheel, baking different things, etc.

I would definitely want Super Star. I really enjoyed it, but the obsessive fan was just a bit annoying. The only fun thing about him was seeing the butler slap him in the face. Good stuff.

A butler would be a cool thing to get back in the sims 2.  Super star and Makin' magic in the sims 2 are definetly the top 2 games everyone seems to want. Including me ^_^

MM was my favorite in TS1. I would love for them to create a version for TS2.

I would LOVE to see makin' magic come back in a beter form! new sim? A genie! It could have a new motive, wishes, that is refilled when it grants wishes to other sims, but the more a sim wishes for, the worse the outcome! It could sleep in a genie bottle or lamp like how vampires sleep in coffins!
Or it could be... an ogre from drinking a tainted beauty potion.
But superstar? We already have a Show Buisness and Music Career track. Giving us multiple ways to do the same thing while rendering one of them essentially useless? Not really their bag. Vacation? Either it meshes with seasons or it doesn't, either way someone feels shunned.

well i loved MM.....

another reason i downloaded the entire magic / occult shop theme from retail sims ^^
(there was wands (crystal ones to sell that your sim just looked at) altercloths, crystal display boxes of tumbled stones, chalaces ect....)
i grabbed most of the stuff at Mts2 by the harry potter project (no careers, my sims dont need to be a gryff or slytherin lol)
casue there were magic skills, potions caldron ect....
(if you had nightlife, you had extra pots....just waiting for them to add the anti-ware and anti plant, and hopefully an make-me-ware and make-me-plant pots too)

and the medievil stuff by Lethe  i mean, witchy bookshelf, witchy parlor, magical studies names bookself (gives you more magical sounding names for cooking, mecha and cleaning skill, and 'write in book of shadows' rather than in diary  heh eheh)

i would like some castable spells, if they ever did it....

a spell to make a sim's higene go down (usefull to get rid of the damn cheerleeders and cows in uni)
a temp firends spell (stops working once they leave your lot..to stop nina and another sim fighting EVERY TIME they come as visitors to my simsies lots >.<)

still....if they dont make it..WHO CARES ^^ i have most of the stuff allready for free

Makin' Magic would be a great one i loved the fact that you could have Dragons as Pets and they hatched out of Eggs it was sooo cute! And the whole mystical theme it was a great expansion! :D
Superstar would be great also i loved all the objects you got with the game, the mudbaths, that flying machiney thingy and ofcourse Alfred the butler! Oh and the obssesed fans were kind of funny in a creepy way lol. But i think it would be a real challenge making a Superstar expansion in The Sims 2 so..

Superstar but this time they should put GOOD celebs in it. ^_^

With MM you could incoroprate medieval themes into it I still play MM to this day :) btw Sims2.com is doing a survey on what you would like to see in the next EP take it and see what happens.

Agreed in full. I got so sick of seeing dead flowers in my yard, I used a move objects cheat and put the stalker in my toilet. He got stuck there and I was free at last! Minus the bit about needing a new bathroom.

I loved the nanny who sims would be scared of. The one in the coffin she was great!

lol, thats pretty much what I did! I LOVED that ep, got everything X' that they bring back magic. Frankly I thought vacation and superstar were dull as all get out!

That must be the black rose he leaves, which became an important magic ingredient in Makin Magic.

Makin' Magic would be the best.
If it was made with spells and demons, like the ones in Charmed, it would be fantastic!!
I am a massive Charmed fan so this would be perfect.
It would complete my Halliwell Manor.

I never played Makin' Magic, but it sounds interesting. While, it would be nice as a Sims 2 expansion in theory, given their current history with new Sims 2 expansions, it would probably be more trouble than it's worth.

^You didn't count University & Open For Business? There wasn't anything like them in Sims 1 and I'm glad they made the right decision :3

Yeah, I do want Superstar the most and Makin' Magic the second, I think. I mean they need to start making H&M & Glamour Life Stuff Packs have their use. Not to mention Family Fun Stuff Medieval items (dragons, castles) they'll made a great addition for Makin' Magic-like EP.


If there's any totally new expansion packs, uh...I'd want something that could make our sim go to work, as in totally control them in the office.

I'd totally love Superstar for Sims 2.  Someone should make a Drew Carey NPC!

Makin Magic actually never properly installed for me (I bought it twice and neither worked), but it did look like a lot of fun.  Oh, to turn Mrs. Crumplebottom into a frog or something...

I'd love to be able to go to the office too and school! However, even if they made such an expansion, I doubt I'd buy it now... but I would be very tempted... but umm.. no..

What about an arabian night theme expansion with genies, flying carpets and let sims make wishes. Have two genies good and evil.

Or even a heaven & hell expansion with angels and demons. Sims who die come back as a angels unless the sim is a vampire, zombie or werewolf. Your sims could be able to do rituals to summon demons or make a sim become a demon.

Or possibly an aquatic expansion with mermaids (that have legs when on land) and create underwater houses and scuba diving gear or even create special underwater breathing gadgets.

Just ideas.

Sounds cool, but I think there'd be too much controversy for them to even think of pursuing (various religious groups and all the good stuff).

Aquatic sounds interesting, but it would be better if there was an actual difference between sims and mersims besides appearance and living on land or water; I guess they could have a water motive like plantsims or something like that. There would also have a area of intersection; they have to be able to communicate somehow and possibly even marry and cohabitate - the underwater breathing stuff would suffice, and probably water breathing stuff for the mersims...

When I played TS1, I enjoyed going to Magic Town and Studio Town. I didn't have any favorite expansion pack for TS1 because I liked them all.

Now, for TS2, I would probably want those two expansion packs - Makin' Magic and Superstars(or even Rockstars), but I'd like to see something different, something that wasn't introduced into TS1 that would be more unique to TS2 only. Shows.. like car shows, horse shows, this kind of stuff
Sims could go to and show off their prized cars, horses, boats and be able to have options to show, sell or auction their prized possessions. They would have stuff to do in their free time - build cars, raise show horses and so on.

I know the above sounded a bit too much but I've gone to a variety of shows - cars, horses, boats, even computers, you name it, I've been there, and I enjoyed these shows. Figured that it would be an unique expansion pack.

There is one other I had in mind, but with Maxis's track record regarding children, I don't know if this would be a great one. An expansion pack that allow children more things to do. Have a parent Sim send the child off to summer or day camp where children can have fun crafting stuff, playing in the water (playable - not just send them off the lot but actually go with them to those destinations).. Sort of a vacation expansion pack for kids. My Sim kids practically have nothing to do once they come home from school or have anything to do on the weekends, and it's pretty pathetic they didn't have any more stuff they could do beside complain about not wanting to play or use certain objects like watching tv, interacting with adults let alone kids, and etc.

That's my 25 cents input. I hope there would be more interesting stuff to be had for TS2 despite the numerous issues about Securom and unfixed bugs from previous expansion packs.

There should totally be a The Sims 2 Superstar, and have all like celebs, and you can make your own celebs, get autographs, go to concerts, book signings... Stuff like that :)
