This mod adds 4 new Lifetime wants Artist, Show Biz, Natural Science, & Paranormal careers, it also adds four new memories for those lifetime wants.
 
5/5/07  New Spanish version of the 4 new memories.

Place all of the files in your downloads folder or a sub folder under downloads
Only use one version at a time.

So do we put the wants.package and the wantstuning.package in our download folder also? I remember having to replace one of them in the original EA Games folder under Program Files. Are we not suppose to do that this time?

that is correct this version just needs to go in your downloads folder.

Thanks for filling in the gaps. Maxis in Seasons remembered to put in the new Lifetime Wants and the new majors for the additional Seasons careers. It was very annoying when they introduced the Artist, Show Biz, Natural Science, & Paranormal careers for University but omitted the Lifetime Wants.

Yeah same here, you'd have thought they'd have done this themselves with the release of Uni but no - four EPs later and they still haven't done it ¬_¬

I didn't realise you could just put this in Downloads, I overwrote the ones in the main game folder again... still it works, plus I backed up the originals so no harm done :)

I would overwrite the ones in the game folder with the backups you made before the seasons patch comes out :)

I recently installed this mod and now Dina Caliente has the Lifetime Want to become a Visionary. I want her to achieve this LTW because this is the first time I have seen it in the game.

But is there a mod available (that is compatible with Seasons) that will enable Sims who haven't been to college to find the Artist, Natural Scientist, Paranormal and Showbusiness careers in the newspaper or computer?

I should check here more often, I didn't know this mod existed until today. :P Thank you!

Thanks Squinge :) I followed instructions and simply put it in my Downloads' Squinge subfolder.  I am pleased to say that a sim rolled the Lifetime Want to 'Become Cult Leader' for the Paranormal Career today.



Monique's Hacked Computer (non-global)  at MTS2 gives non-University sims access to all Maxis, University and Custom careers.  The University careers do not have teen careers, so your sim won't see them on Monique's Hacked Computer until they become an adult.

Can we use this mod with other want-altering mods safely?  TurboJAzn just altered his Have Sex instead of WooHoo mod, and I'd like to use both, if possible.

Hi Squinge.  I keep getting a blank want box with one of my sims - when I hover my cursor over it, the text is "Buy +500 Aspiration"  I typed it exactly the way it shows but I also have a .jpg screen capture if you need.  Any clue about this?  What add'l info do you need (if any)?  Thanks.

If you sim already had that want prior to installing this mod that may be the problem :)

This is a great mod.  I don't know why the Artist, Show Biz, etc... don't show up without this mod after you install another EP (other than University), but I'm glad this fixes it.  :)

That's because those lifetime wants were removed by maxis :)

I have a few questions please:


Is this the latest version of this mod?  If yes, is it compatible w/ AL and M&G?

Aren't these the Uni LTWs and if so, does this mod replace " uni_ltws_sns" from MATY?

If you're using AL with MG, New Lifetime Wants EP8 (http://www.insimenator.org/smf/index.php/topic,91609.0.html) is supposed to be what you're using.

And no, it's either Pescado's uni ltw mod or this. Can't have both since they both do the same thing. Just a different approach on Pes and Squinge's parts to doing this.

I love the Mod and I would not want to do with out it.

However when I have the Mod installed, there is a somewhat annoying problem that occurs with some of my Fortune Sims. They have a want to buy <unnamed wantable object category 10098> or a want to buy <unnamed wantable object category 10096> or a want to buy <unnamed wantable object category 10096>. Only Fortune Sims get the wants it seems.

I gather that this is because the Want files don't know about BV and the items that were added with it.

Can something be done to get this Mod to be BV aware?  I am a Mac user so updating to FT is not an option. Please would you update it to EP6 for Mac users like me?
