Title: The Southport
Post by: Moran on March 29, 2007, 07:25:18 pm
I have never uploaded a file to this site before, and wondered how I could do it. I spent a lot of time on this baby today, and I am quite proud of it... seeing as how it is almost identical to the floorplans (minus the crappy roofing issues that came with the original game) Anyways... here are some pictures of the floorplans that I used to create this beautiful home. Now all I need to do is take some screenshots, and find out how to upload this baby for everyone else to enjoy.

Here we go...

Here... I hope it worked

You just zip or rar the file and upload it through manage attachments like you did with the pictures

Was anyone able to download the file so that they could install it into their game?

Hi...I noticed a comment above where someone can't install the house.  I notice there is no file extension.  I'm going to rename the file using .package and let you know if this works.

Changing (or adding) the file extension did not work.  Manually dropped it into the lot catalog folder and started game, but it does not show up.  Is anyone else having this problem?  Re-downloading didn't fix it.

This looks like such an amazing house. I would really love to try it out, but there is definitely something wrong with the file.

You said this was the first time you had uploaded a lot, so I hope you won't take offense when I give you a link to a tutorial about packaging houses for upload. You obviously can ignore step 9 as it is for a different site.

Hi all...I just renamed the file to Windsor House.sims2pack, and clicked on it...all the files are there.  I think it will work fine now!

Scratch that!  The file names are there, but they're "empty" packages.  Hmm.  Sorry.
