Insimenator.org

Recently there have been rumours that Insimenator.net was introducing a pay system for it's items. This is not true. Insimenator.net is committed to providing quality downloads for the Sims 2, free of charge. All voluntary donations are appreciated.
 
However, due to increased server and bandwidth costs, a special donation section for members is currently in development. Items will not be charged on a per-download basis, but a set monthly fee will enable access to the section.
 
The InSIMenator download compatible with the base game and University expansion only will remain in the general area of the site. All later versions will be moved to the donation section.
 
We will endeavor to include as much content as we can for users free of charge. No downloads will be featured as donation items without prior consent of the artists.
 
Until such time as the donation area opens, you can find more information about the section by following the premium membership link from the homepage.

i can respect what you are doing, and why you are doing it.

but only complaint is that the insimentaor will be moved to the pay section. I don't have seasons yet, but since hearing this news i think it is agood idea just to download the new edition of the insimenator for free while you can, and save it for later.

also will all later versions of the insimenator be in the pay section?

Well, I don't want to be rude or anything, but I'm afraid that I do have to agree with everyone's complaining.

I'm not as much upset at the thought of special "pay" items, but it had better not be the InSIMenator. There's no way in heck that I could make a donation; believe me, I would if I could.

I'm just hoping that this is some kind of a terrible April Fool's joke; well, at least the part about the InSIM being a part of the pay stuff.

=/ So I will not have the insimenator for the next exp because my parents doesn't like to pay for this kind of stuff, however I try to help clicking the ads everytime I visit the site, is so bad that a free site become in paysite (in a part) :(... if you tell people that clicking the google ads everyday helps, you could get more money from it... I'm sure a lot of people don't know that.

I'm not saying i want insim to go pay ( i don't, i <3 insim just the way it is), but if it isn't a joke, we all should be grateful that they have provided us with the insim hack for so long without pay. That hack is hardcore, and probably took lots of code and time and searching into the dark and dreary depths (whoa, alliteration) of EA games code--gives me shivers just thinking aboot it.

April Fool's Day! I hope, I hope, I hope! You guys are awesome and when I can find a way to donate that doesn't take paypal, you will have some cash. I don't care if you're not going pay, I've always meant to donate some way. The forum has become a nice little net home and I'd really hate to think that all the great items had to be paid for because that would mean that I would be out of the running. April Fools.  Delphy at MTS2 got me this morning.  He has a post that the site is merging with EA.com.  I bit hook, line and sinker until I realized that Nuumenor was still around (he is very verbal about not uploading his mods to EA).

Meanwhile, the corporation I work for claims everything done on their time is THIER property, so if I create Sims stuff while at work...the 2 of them can battle it out...I think EA loses that one, I'm pretty sure the company I work for has more money and influence.

I tried to make a midged to the site using pay pal and my visa card(I never payed anything  on Internet before)but I didn't succeded,when I came halfway I was send at the beguining,so after 2 hours I gave it up.And I don't know how I could send the money to the alternative adress,can I send them in an envelope?I wouldn't mind donating to this site,I love the hack,the INsim.And the community.

I take things to seriously (or maybe I just try accepting things rather than complaining). I saw the forum minutes after it went up, and my only thought was "Oh well. I hope it helps them make more money. The site isn't free after all."

It's not my site, so I saw no point in getting angry or upset or to take it as a joke.

I was budgeting donating to Insim in my monthly budget when I realized that it was April 1st. So my cat can continue to have cat food (I hope), I was going to cut that out, and my donation awareness has been awakened with a bucket of cold water.
