Dese had a WCIF a plain white wall mounted mailbox thread, so I decided to give it a shot. Oddly enough, during 2 weeks of Don Lothario's life (played at 3x and autonomous...c'mon, he deserves it!) no mailman appeared to deliver bills, nor did the repo man come along and take anything. (On the flipside, he didn't get any love/hate letters, or recieve free coupon dinners) To make the object function, go into build mode, use the moveobjects on cheat, remove the maxi's mailbox. In buy mode, sort by room, outdoors, decorative and for 75 simoleans you'll find my wall mounted mailbox. Slap in on a wall. At times I had trouble moving it, but I think I fixed that problem. I am not aware of any other hacks which might have cause old Don to not get any bills, so I'm anxious to hear others tell me they get the same result with this object. It is NOT a global replacement, non mailbox oweners will still get their bills. It has a new mesh and unique guid. The paperboy will not use the paper holder thingie, he still puts it on the ground. Please, if you use this - drop me a PM let me know how it's working. For now, you can recolor the entire thing one color, but in the meantime I'll be properly UV mapping and updating the post making more ornate versions. Do not upload to paysites, claim it as your own, or send your unrecieved bills to me, blah blah blah... Great mod thanks heaps :) I previously resorted to moving the mailbox to a place the mailman couldnt deliver mail to, but the repo men still came (and sadly you cant trap them and make them die lie in Sims 1 :D Title: No Bills, Wall Mounted Mailbox Post by: talonhunter20 on March 20, 2008, 08:43:04 pm Great work on the new mailbox. It makes my townhouses look better.
If you want to stop the bills and the repo man, all you have to do is use the "boolprop testingcheatsenabled" and shift-click the maxis mailbox. Force an error on the mailbox, and when the error window pops-up, click "Delete". I've played my main storyline that way and never seen a repoman or mailman.... except the one time my sim was chatting on the computer and the repo man 'signed on'.
