Title: Hi-Res Female BodyShape Variety Project - also see Adult Section Post by: Warlokk on February 08, 2006, 08:43:03 pm Due to the adult nature of parts of this project, Skintones and anything else on the "naughtier" side will be found in
Warlokk's Dungeon (http://www.insimadult.net/forumdisplay.php?f=123) (over 18 required) This will be the place to find my newest project, the Hi-Res Female BodyShape Variety Project, or Hi-Res BodyShapes as I'll refer to it in the future. These meshes will have a slightly higher polycount than the standard Maxis meshes or my previous BodyShape project, allowing for smoother curves and more details in the mesh. I will also be releasing a much wider range of clothing for each size in this project as a result of new meshing techniques and tools. For each size of BodyShape released, there will be at least one Skintone and the Top & Bottom Nude meshes required for it. This should be the first thing downloaded for each size. Then, there will be a variety of clothing meshes for each size released in stages as they are completed, in various categories and styles. Recolors can be found for these meshes in the Guest Bodyshapes section or at various other websites, for more information stop by the Tower Workshop (http://warlokkstower.googlepages.com/home) and have a look around at the links and previews. For a tutorial on how to properly use the BodyShape series to it's fullest effect, check out my BodyShape Guide (http://warlokkstower.googlepages.com/bodyshapeguide). Each release will be a single size set, broken down by Top size, with 5 Hip sizes to go with each one. These sizes will be as follows: Tops: A B (default size) B Natural C Enhanced C Natural D Enhanced D Natural DD Enhanced DD Natural DDD Enhanced DDD Natural Bottoms: 32" 34" (default size) 36" 38" 40" I will post more information here as my plans come together. Thanks to Wes_H and Dr Pixel at MTS2 for the tools and help in getting this project started, and to Zenman and Xenos for the Poser techniques I will be using to create the shapes. And of course to Kathy for getting me started in meshing, and Marvine for inspiring me continually with her excellent work and advice, and to BeosBoxBoy for lending his skintones to this project! I'm still building all the base models (like the Top & Bottom Defaults), as soon as I get a full-body nude done I'll release it too in the default size... after that, I'll do one Top size at a time, converting all the clothes and 4 base skintones to each Bottom size (32-40"). So, soon, but not all that soon. :D

I may do 2 versions of a few outfits, with and without the nipples, that way people can make/use what they want. It should make it easier to get what you want, but it will take longer for me to finish each size. I may combine the Natural and Enhanced sets however, I haven't decided yet. DDEnh will be first though, since it's what I'm testing and working on first. A lot of this first set is learning and testing, I'm having difficulties with some outfits I wasn't expecting which I'm still working out. Once I get the initial set done, the rest should come much more quickly.

I haven't installed any default replacements yet, though from the rave reviews you get, I think I would like to try your hi res female nudes... in fact I've downloaded your default top/bottom set already. But before I use them... Do I understand that the underlying sim body mesh is actually two parts, unlike the single body meshes of the original Sims? And as for the size varieties you are creating, I wonder how these show up in 'create a sim' and body shop... I presume they appear in the custom menus? Lastly, if I prepare unique body skins of my own... say, a tattooed lady, will they work with your meshes? Thanks for any advice you can offer. For the other clothing categories though, they are full-body meshes. The way it works in CAS, is you will choose a custom Skintone that is assigned to the size you want, and then you dress the sim in clothes that also match that size. The size on the skintone will only show when the sim is naked. When I make the skintones, I make sure the icon and the pop-up note are very clear on which size it is.
To adapt your own skintones to a particular size, I have a tutorial posted on how to convert them with BodyShop. It's over in the Original Bodyshop section. The clothing conversion tips really only work for clothes based on the same meshes, and since all I've done is the nudes so far, it's kinda limited. I'll release more soon though.

I'll finish up the Topless ones next, and then the DD's should be ready to release. I think I'm going to continue with the DD clothing then, and I'll do the other full-body nudes for each size as the first stage of their clothing sets. Just the DD's alone is 16 meshes and outfits for the full-body nudes and topless... so many combinations... :D
I may do more full-body nudes/topless in between though, they don't really take that long since I'm combining already-finished tops and bottoms... it's just the quantity involved, I want to break it up a bit. Depends on what folks want most, I guess.
