Title: My attempt at (long legged) dachshunds <--correct spelling Post by: auren82 on May 14, 2007, 02:20:10 am Here are my two dachshunds, Tanner (the black and tan) and Tucker (the red). I'd love for someone to make a mesh for them to have short legs but for now they're just long-legged wieners.
For those that care: -Tanner is very outgoing and playful, but very tidy. He hates getting in the dirt, but he will tromp across the top step of the pool! -Tucker is a rescue and he's very timid around people and shy for a while. He loves to dig. He'd wrather spend a month in the dirt than a minute in the bathtub. Both are non agressive and fairly smart. Have fun with my boys. And be nice! :off topi: A little bit about dachshunds. They were originally bred in Germany to catch badgers. Their name means badger dog. The correct spelling is dachshund. There is no such thing as a dashound, it is merely a bastardized pronounciation of dachshund, which is pronounced docks-hund or docks-huned of you're German. They are short and squatty to be able to go into the deep underground burrows of badgers, rabbits, and other creatures. They have a wide, deep chest to help them breathe while underground. The bigger the breath they take above ground the better. They have deep booming barks so their masters can hear their positions while underground.:rant: Okay. Back to your downloading. I have two dachys too and it just gripes me that they left out our loveable short legged friends! As if they're not one of the most popular dogs evah! These are the best likenesses of the breed that I've seen so far.

Someone threw her in the trash when she was just 6 weeks old and my mom brought her home for me when I was a kid. It's been 25 years since she died, but Peanut has been the best dog who ever owned me! Thanks for making these adorable animals for my simmies!!
