And it is one of my favorite breeds. I made white, yellow, tiger(you may not agree) and black tan. But there are also pure-black and wolf fur. [The Korean government recognizes only white and yellow fur colors are pure blood and protect them. However, many authorities disagree with this point of view.] I hope you'd like these. We have laws here as well for protection of animal, too many. We have federal laws to protect endangered species, then we have state laws to protect wildlife and domestic animals, then we also have city laws that can tell you what kind of animals you can have and how many. It can get pretty crazy. Welcome to the land of the free, so long as you follow their rules. lol
Title: Korean Jindo Dogs (4 types) Post by: Kiati17 on June 17, 2007, 05:56:09 pm when I was looking for a dog last year for my first dog I saw on animal planet how they rescued one and I looked them up and came up with nothin so I thought they were a cross between a shiba inu and something else like when people give mixed breeds names. I didnt know that it was actually a breed called that even though I seen it on tv.

Thank you. /PegasusDiana The name Jindo was came from its habitat island. According to the law, no pure Jindo(white and yellow) can be shipped. But the reality is, even some dogs in the island are not pure blood. (maybe It was caused by incest.) /Kiati17 I like animal planet but my cable don't have that channel. The Korean and Japanese dogs look similar but a little bit different. Like the people in both country. And breeders are still arguing which one is the ancestor. /Roxxy Thanks a lot.
