Chapter One (Part 1): Harsh Beginnings

Married on bright summer day, having grown up with one another in the almost whimsical setting of Pleasantview, Daniel and Mary-Sue Pleasant found themselves swept in a wind of love. Both born into wealthy families and determined to make their mark on the world, the came together to continue a tradition of rich, happy Pleasants. Yet, they both desired to throw a caveat into the wishes of their families. Mary-Sue and Daniel decided at the moment they first discussed marriage they wanted one, and only one child to raise. Mary-Sue was an only child while Daniel, who had a much younger sister, was raised as one, and they agreed that more than one child would be difficult to raise when they both desired so much from their careers.

While Daniel trained hard each day to become the best of athletes, Mary Sue spent long hours in the office of Congressman Michaels, intent on making her political dreams come true. Each night, Daniel came home to an spacious, but empty house. His entire family had been obsessed with money for generations, but he soon realized all his true ambitions were simply to love and be loved in return. After several disastrous miscarriages and unsuccessful adoptions Mary Sue finally held fantastic news: at long last, they were going to become parents.

Nine months came and went quickly and the soon-to-be parents discovered the happy news that they were to become the parents of a baby girl. Yet the doctors had more news in store for instead of the one child they desired, Mary-Sue and Daniel were going to have twin girls.
"What are we going to do?" Mary-Sue asked Daniel. "We only wanted one."
Neither being particularly religious, the first notion that sprang to mind was to do something with the "other" child, but their doctors, apart from wanting to have nothing to do with aborting a twin, warned them that it was a miracle that Mary-Sue was even able to conceive. An abortion might hurt both babies.
Resigning to the task before them, Daniel and Mary-Sue decided on names for their new daughters: Angela Netaniah, meaning angelic gift of God, and Lilith Bethany, the bringer of disease and illness who might find redemption.

When they were finally able to bring the girls home, Mary-Sue and Daniel immediately fell in love with their bright-eyed first child, Angela. Quiet, peaceful and always happy, both parents would spend hours simply holding her in awe and wonder. Lilith, however, held a rambunctious spirit neither, Daniel nor Mary-Sue appreciated. She cried constantly and never seemed settled no matter how long they held her or how much they fed or changed her.

The parents found parenting a simple joy when it came to Angela, yet an absolute nightmare in regards to Lilith. They could not have evenings out because Lilith's screams tore through the minds of any sitter that came to the house and as their frustrations with the "other" child grew stronger and stronger, Mary-Sue and Daniel saw a definite rift in their marriage.

At barely a few months old, Lilith spit up on Daniel's new athletic uniform and he knew he had had enough.
"That's it!" he yelled. "I can't deal with the other one any more!"
"You have to take care of her," Mary-Sue replied calmly holding her precious Angela.
"It's not my fault you had twins! I'm not dealing with Lilith any longer!"
The conversation soon erupted into a loud argument, and Mary-Sue and Daniel found themselves having the first quarrel of their marriage...all over Lilith.

By the time the girls were able to crawl about the house, Lilith cried all the time and instead of doing their best to calm the torments of the younger daughter, Daniel and Mary-Sue showered their affection and love on Angela. They took the time to do her hair and dressed her in the finest, most adorable clothes they could afford, changing her outfits with the changing seasons, while they left Lilith in whatever they felt did not look good on Angela and kept her in the same clothes until the ripped at the seams when she grew too big for them.

Angela's every accomplishment was exhaulted with jubilant praises; from taking her first steps to her first precocious acts such as colouring on the walls. Mary-Sue and Daniel gave every ounce of their strength into making Angela as comfortable and happy as possible and all the while, Lilith was left nearly isolated socially and without the slightest inkling of parental love. Left alone for hours at a time, Lilith's cries went unanswered and her parents only ensured that the was fed to keep the Pleasantview Department of Child Welfare out of their lives. Every single day of Lilith's life was spent alone and unhappy.

As a result of their incommensurate upbringings, Angela and Lilith grew into disparate twins: one showered with love and affection, the other treated like something nasty something had found in the bathroom. Differences aside, the twins were identical and Lilith found some meager kindness thrown in her direction when either Daniel or Mary-Sue would mistake her for Angela, yet both parents were always quick to correct their mistake by disparaging her, preferably in front of Angela so that she could see only she had their adoration.

Part Two of Chapter One: Harsh Beginnings

Indulged to the fullest, Angela was allowed to do whatever she wanted: jump
on beds, blow bubbles in the house, leave a mess wherever she felt like leaving it, and Mary Sue and Daniel would simply chuckle and congratulate themselves on what an energetic, boisterous little girl they were raising. Angela also triumphed in every obstacle life could present with the least little effort. She was accepted into the gifted classes in her primary school, where she excelled instantly and was quick favorite amongst teachers and peers alike. Spoiled and unaccustomed to discipline, Angela enjoyed every luxury life had to offer without working for it and was told that she was the perfect person each day of her life.

In gross contrast, Lilith's primary years were just a cut above outright child abuse. Still dressed in whatever dark hand-me-down clothes Mary-Sue and Daniel could find, Lilith was blamed for every occurrence in the house; from dishes left in the sink to problems with the fireplace to wall graffiti that read "Angela is Beautiful" in pink letters and surrounded with butterflies. Every day she woke, Lilith dealt with her parents' harsh words and watched miserably as her twin sister was afforded every measure.
"You're so stupid!" Mary-Sue would say when Lilith brought home poor grade cards, and when her teachers would comment on Lilith's lackluster social abilities, Daniel would scream to her, "Well, it's not our fault the children hate you! Look at you! Can you blame them?"

Every harsh word was spoken in Angela's presence and in accordance with her parents' wishes, she too grew to despise her twin. She was nasty to Lilith, calling her names and hitting or pushing her just because she happened to be there. Twice, social workers came to visit upon the house to inspect the cause of the bruises with which Lilith would sometimes attend school, but Mary-Sue and Daniel would account for the issues as sibling rivalry and managed to dodge further investigation. Each time, Lilith simply sat and withstood the arrant opprobriums tossed in her direction, and Angela became more contentious and hostile toward her.

Finally, growing frustrated with the injustice found in her own home, Lilith began to fight back; pushing her sister back when she was pushed, screaming in return to parents who yelled at her and becoming just as hateful toward all those who were hateful to her. She woke up each day and went to sleep each night with a scowl set upon her young face, while Angela was presented with love and admiration from the moment she opened her eyes to a new day to the moment Mary-Sue and Daniel tucked her in bed at night after reading a nighttime story.
One night, after Angela was given a dessert for finishing her vegetables at dinner and her own inquest went ignored even after completing the very same task, Lilith pushed away from the table and attacked Angela harder than ever previously, screaming "I hate you!" the entire time.

Daniel and Mary-Sue were quick to separate the girls and forced Lilith to sit on a crate in the corner of her room for three days straight while Angela, who had delivered the majority of the blows to her sister,  was allowed to play in the sunshine and was even given a gift for having to deal with the "other daughter."
"It's not fair..." Lilith would cry to herself each night.
In her heart she knew she had done nothing to deserve such mistreatment from her family and she simply could not understand how someone who looked exactly like her could be given everything while she was given nothing.

By the time she was ten years old, Lilith began to demand answers from Mary-Sue and Daniel.
"Why does she get to play in the pool all day and I have to stay in the house all the time?" Lilith yelled one day to her mother.
"Because stupid, ugly girls don't get to do as they please!" Mary-Sue sneered in return.
"I look just like her! We're exactly the same!"
Without a valid answer, Mary-Sue simply screamed what she had been wanting to say since the day Lilith had been born.
"We never wanted you!"
With tears in her eyes, ten-year-old Lilith ran to her room and threw herself on her bed to bawl into her thin covers for the rest of the day. She always had the inkling that Mary-Sue and Daniel had not wanted her, but to hear the words, to have them float through the room as easily as if Mary-Sue were telling her to take out the garbage was almost too much to bear.

Having watched the argument, Angela, feeling sympathy for the first time in her life for her sister and simply troubled by the revelation, looked to Daniel with wet green eyes.
"Is that true, Daddy?" she asked. "You never wanted us?"
Daniel turned to his cherished child and smiled. "My darling, Angela. We always wanted you."
Once Angela had been tucked into bed that night and Lilith still cried in her own room, Daniel went into the study to speak to Mary-Sue.
"You shouldn't have said that to her," he said.
Mary-Sue sighed at her desk. "I know. I just slipped...besides, you know how busy I've been at the office lately. Congressman Michaels is looking to run for governor next year and I've been under a lot of stress.
Daniel sighed and left Mary-Sue to her work, knowing full well how busy Mary-Sue had been recently. They had not simply held one another in months, let alone made love and with their new problems with Lilith, it seemed even more likely that their marital troubles would get worse before ever becoming better.

The months passed and the atmosphere of the Pleasant household grew darker. When the twins were about to celebrate their eleventh birthday, Daniel pleaded with Mary-Sue to throw a birthday party for both girls.
Annoyed by the suggestion, Mary-Sue attempted to tell Lilith about the what she had planned for her upcoming birthday, but the wounds inflicted had not nearly enough time to heal and Lilith spat in Mary-Sue's face for even proposing that she participate.
"Why should I go to your party? You didn't even want me!"
Instead of making amends at the birthday party, Mary-Sue forced Lilith to sit in the hallway and listen as Angela opened present after present. Lilith, hardened by years of abuse, did not bat an eye even after hearing Angela open the RC Car she had been wanting for weeks, and decided on that day she deserved better and rued to never forgive either Mary-Sue or Daniel.

Seeing that Mary-Sue had botched an attempt at reconciling with their young child, Daniel pulled Lilith into the hall after the party with a special gift he had picked out just for her.
"You can keep your stupid gift!" Lilith yelled and she turned toward the wall, refusing to even look at him.
Not knowing what else to do, Daniel called for Angela.
"I have something else for you, Precious," he said giving her Lilith's gift.
Lilith turned from the wall in time to see Angela accepting her gift and anger coursed through her.
"If he really cared, he would have tried harder to give it to me," she thought. "I hate them all!"

Hate festered within Lilith and burst forth at inopportune times; sometimes during dinner, sometimes while at school, and sometimes just while walking through the house and passing her sister who always had a contented smile on her face.
"I hate you!" she would yell. "I wish you were dead!"
Instead of replying with the same malcontent, Angela found herself simply recoiling in fear at the version of herself that had gone off the normal path. Lilith was angry with her all the time, and as they grew older, she knew there was very little that could change what their parents had done to her.
Rather than shower Lilith was continuous poor treatment that was bound to be noticed by the neighbors, Mary-Sue, Daniel and Angela, took to ignoring her and as the years passed, Lilith became cold and apathetic toward the rest of the world.

that was good. i feel sorry for lilith. a question out of the blue here, how'd you make angela and lillith babies and grow up if they were already teens in game? the insimenator machine? just wondering..lol

Wow, I really like this story! I'll be waiting for Chapter 2. Just a little suggestion: be careful of camera angles and downed walls. The sky is visible and we can see through to other rooms. But you're doing a wonderful job!

Must kill Angela! I hate that little girl! I also hate Daniel and Mary-Sue! I shall recreate Lilith! I feel so bad for her, how she's getting mistreated! Make more! This is wonderful!

In my game I renamed and makeovered Lilith to Lily and gave her a pretty makeover though Angela I gave her the worst makeover ever(muhaha.Thank god for Open 4 Buisness)I have hated Angela since I first saw her in my game

I gave angela a worse life then death... she is the single pregnant teenage mother failing school and is poor while lilith is popluar and happy :chainsaw: :D

Heehee. I had Lilith use the Samorai Sword from MTS2 and kill her sister and parents. A person who was renting a room in the house, who had become her boyfriend, and Lilith were the only two people in the house. Then they got married and had a somewhat better life.

I am so glad people like this!
*Sigh* Unfortunately, this is a tragedy, so it is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. But, destroying sim lives is what life is all about...:twisted:

Chapter Two (Part 1): Troubled Teen Years

The years passed in the Pleasant household and Mary-Sue and Daniel soon found themselves with two teenagers in their home. Angela had grown gracefully into a pretty young woman and her parents claimed that there was a light that followed her everywhere she went. They insisted that she was perfection incarnate, and while she sometimes questioned whether or not she was perfect, Angela allowed Daniel and Mary-Sue to continue showering her praise and honour.

Lilith, too, had grown, but her childhood gave rise to what her parents referred as a "beast" of her twin sister. Preferring to spend her time away from others, Lilith would lock herself in her bedroom for hours at time, contemplating the darkness of her life and barren wasteland that was the bright Pleasantview in which she lived. Everywhere she looked people were happily walking dogs and pushing babies in strollers, all oblivious to the hell fury thrown in her direction each day. She began to dress in all black as if silently telling the rest of the world to stay away from her, since no one ever did anything to rescue her from the abuses of her childhood.

Regardless of what negative impact the world had to offer, everything paled in comparison the sheer arrogance and vanity Lilith saw in her sister. Angela oft times compared herself directly to Lilith, noting how much brighter her hair was, how few dark circles her eyes held as opposed to Lilith and how boys and young men from all over the city would look at her and remark upon her perfect she seemed.
Each day, Angela would come downstairs, run her hands through her and sigh saying, "Ah! Life is good."
Needless to say, Lilith hated her...

...and the feeling was mutual. No matter what bright face Angela displayed on the surface, Lilith knew the truth about her sister that lied just beneath her false exterior. Years of malice and sublime contempt sent toward Lilith had trained Angela to drive the pure malevolence in her heart directly on her sister. She argued with her any time she had opportunity, she fought Lilith by pushing her downstairs or simple fisticuffs, which she normally won since her own nutrition had been so much better than Lilith's, and she denigrated Lilith more often that Mary-Sue or Daniel who, in the middle age, had reduced some of their torment of the "other" daughter. The world saw Angela as a fresh-faced teenager who was on her way to greatness, but each time she slapped Lilith on the arm just because she happened to be passing by, Lilith professed that one day, the world would know the true Angela.

Yet, through all her attempts at having others believe that she did not "fall" down the stairs again, no one ever believed Lilith because her façade was so well played. Anytime visitors came to the house, all they would see was Angela studying quietly and Lilith lazily shirking her school responsibilities.
Skepticism of Lilith's claims also came from the sharp contrast of how each performed academically. While Angela was on her way to becoming class valedictorian, Lilith had been barely passed to the ninth grade, never having home support from either Mary-Sue or Daniel, who did not seem to care about Lilith's grades unless they were in need of something about which to yell at her. As time continued, Lilith learned to withstand the abuse and trudged to school each day, socially inept and lonely, never thinking that anything could change.

School administrators eventually took notice of the profound differences between Lilith and Angela and placed in Lilith in the Pleasantview Social Academy outside the school to increase her social skills. Lilith hated every moment of the new class, but for the first time in her life, she found solace in another. Sitting beside her, just as glum and irritated at the irony of a small, anxious teacher trying to teach teenagers to be socially buoyant, Dustin Broke had an instant rapport with Lilith.
Dustin's father had died in a pool accident a few years earlier and his mother took out her frustrations, both financial and otherwise, all on Dustin. His mother treated him like he was a criminal and behaved as if his younger brother was going to be the saviour of their family.

Lilith would call Dustin every other day, eager to commiserate on how life had handed them each a raw deal. Each time they spoke, Lilith could feel her own stresses fade. They always talked about how their parents could be so uncompassionate and Lilith was shocked to hear that Dustin argued with his mother almost as much as she did with her own. Throughout all the sharing though, Lilith made certain to keep Angela out of her conversations. Angela, being the pretty and popular twin, was a part of nearly every aspect of her life, and Lilith loved knowing someone who did not know or care about Angela.
"Who do you talk to all the time?" Angela asked her one day after Lilith had spent an hour on the phone. "I mean, I know you don't have any friends."
"Whatever," Lilith said. "The best thing about my relationship with Dustin is that it doesn't concern you."

Angry that there was someone in the world who would rather talk to Lilith than speak to her Angela, shoved Lilith as hard as she could. Instead of taking the abuse like normal however, Lilith jumped right back up and pushed Angela in return. Finding friendship in Dustin Broke had given Lilith a new grip on life; one she was not willing to relinquish because of Angela's pettiness.
"Don't you dare touch me again!" Lilith yelled, and Angela, shocked by Lilith's first retaliation since they were small children, simply nodded in fear by her sister's sudden appearance of backbone.
Neither twin cared about the other, but it was the last time Angela ever laid a hand on Lilith.

Chapter Two (Part 2): Troubled Teen Years

Regardless of the flying hatred they held for one another, Lilith and Angela managed to come together in response to a sole issue: their disgust for the "help," specifically one Kaylynn Langerak. Kaylynn had a constant obscure expression as if not aware of what she said or the things she did, but they could each see through her. Instead of going through series of interviews to find the perfect maid, Kaylynn contacted Daniel specifically and inquired about work.

Suspicious of her risque clothing, Lilith and Angela found themselves working in tandem at Angela's computer and found that a "Jaylynn Langerak" had broken up a home by posing as a maid and managed to secure millions of dollars by having an illegitimate child with the house owner, and she had a sister, deemed to be just like her, living in Pleasantview named Kaylynn. Lilith hated her parents, but deep in her heart, family was family, and the thought that an outsider sought to break up her "unhappy" home, was harder to take than Angela's previous beatings. They appealed to Mary-Sue to fire Kaylynn as they noticed Daniel becoming slowly enamoured with her, but Mary-Sue's work at the congressman's office kept her away for most of the week and she would pay neither Lilith, nor Angela, any mind when it came to her marital affairs.

With Kaylynn deemed as a formidable enemy, Angela began to burn the household phone lines, calling her friends at all times of the night to tell them all about the new situation at home. At first, Lilith was just irritated by having to carve out time to talk to Dustin at odd times when she could pry the phone away from Lilith or Mary-Sue, but when Angela began talking on the phone into the late night hours, she was simply angry.
One night, Lilith went into Angela's room to snatch the phone away from her and caught a bit of Angela's conversation:
"...really? She never told you she had a sister? That's wild...I mean we're twins...yeah...Where do you go to school? Oh really? Do you know Gordon...?"
"Who are you talking to?" Lilith demanded. "You've been on the phone all night!"
Angela simply turned her back to her. "My friend...Dustin."
A fire ignited within Lilith at the knowledge that Angela had somehow gotten in contact with her Dustin, but she simply stomped away to sulk in her own room. She had developed quite the crush on Dustin, and regardless of the fact that Angela had managed to contact him, she was confident that if she acted quickly, she would have her first boyfriend.

With her mind made up to casually ask Dustin to hang out, Lilith went to the social academy expecting to subtly outpour her heart to him, but he was nowhere to be found.
"Where's Dustin?" she asked one of the administrators.
"Oh, he's graduated from the academy," the administrator said. "He's fine now, but we can only hope for you."
Slightly put out from learning that Dustin had not bothered to call her with the news that he was free from the social academy, Lilith went home, preparing to pry the phone from Angela's fingers. When she walked through the house, she noticed a flash of blond hair in the background and ran to see if Dustin had stopped by for a surprise visit. Lilith burst through the back door and her boots skidded on the grass as she came to halt. Dustin had indeed come to visit, but come to visit Angela.
"Good to see you're home, Sis," Angela said in a high-pitched voice. "Dustin's come by to see me!"

Rage coursed through Lilith at the sight of them together and she tore down the street not knowing or caring where she went. When she had finally run out of breath, she fell on the sidewalk and cried; a mixture of disbelief and fury making all her thoughts unintelligible. Unable to think of what else to do, Lilith allowed the rage to course through her and ripped through the town kicking down fences, smashing windows and slashing tires everywhere she went. By ten o'clock, the police finally caught up with her and Lilith sat next to an officer's desk in the police precinct as the officer, Officer Briggs, called Mary-Sue.
Lilith had expected her to come to the precinct scowling and ready to ring her ears with screams, but Lilith heard Mary-Sue's voice clearly through the officer's phone:
"Leave her there!"
Officer Briggs slowly set down the phone and stared at Lilith who looked so low that he doubted if anything could pull her back up again.
"Come on," he said, rising from his desk. "Let's go."
Begrudgingly, Lilith followed him, wondering what it would be like to spend the night in a jail cell, but instead of heading towards the back of the precinct, he ushered towards his squad car, to take her home. It was not the first time, Lilith had, ironically, experienced kindness from another person's extreme pity.

"You were arrested!" Angela yelled when Officer Briggs brought Lilith home. "God, you're pathetic! No wonder Dustin likes me better than you. At least I'm a good influence on him."
Yet, Lilith did not hear her sister's newest harsh words. Thankfully, the officer had felt sorry for her and just took her home, but she was still a fifteen-year-old girl with a record, and now she had lost the only person who she felt could commiserate to her retched twin sister. Despondent and depressed, Lilith began spending long hours in her room, simply staring at the far and not knowing what else she could do with her life.

To add to the ever-increasing angst in her life, the heated discussions between Mary-Sue and Daniel were becoming full arguments. Though they attempted to keep their voices down when either Lilith or Angela were home, both girls could hear they're parents' arguing resounding through the house.
Coming close to his retirement, Daniel had been spending more and more time at home during the day. Suspicious of their seemingly profligate maid, Mary-Sue began questioning every one of Daniel's actions and wondering all the while if he might be tempted by Kaylynn's short skirts and plunging necklines.
"I'm just making sure the maid is doing her job," he would say to Mary-Sure or "I'm just working out more often to look good for you," when she asked about his sudden increase in time on the treadmill or on their universal system. She did not have proof any possible infidelity, but she distrusted his words all the same.

With her father stretching his philanderous legs, her mother ignoring her even when they were in the same room together, and her sister overtaking anything after which she sought, Lilith entered the tenth grade at a new low. Her grades were worse than ever and without having Dustin by her side, she felt lonelier than she had as a small child.
Rather than go home and face the family that never wanted her, Lilith spent her nights roaming the streets and getting into general mischief that caused several more trips home by Officer Briggs. After a night of slashing tires to vent her frustrations, Lilith found herself sitting, once again in the chair beside Briggs' desk, but this time across from a boy about her age.
"What're you in for?" he asked.
She shrugged. "Tires...sometimes they piss me off."
He gave her a dashing smile. "I have that same problem with plate glass windows."

They ended up talking for another four hours until Briggs and another officer separated them to take them home. Lilith learned the boy's name was Dirk Dreamer and he was also well-acquainted with the Pleasantview Police Department.
Dirk's mother had died in a fire a few years earlier and if the death itself had not been tragic enough, his father, Darren, appeared to be slightly losing his mind. Since the day they buried his mother, Darren spoke rarely and only painted image after image of her, to the point that her haunting visage covered nearly ever wall their house.
"He actually hasn't said anything to me in four days," Dirk said one night while they were both sitting the police precinct, once again. "I work as gofer doing odd jobs in a Downtown law office, but if that doesn't make ends meet, I've got to steal and hock things just to make sure the lights stay on and I've got something to eat."

Lilith listened to Dirk's stories about the differences between life before and after his mother's death and for the first time was able to put things into perspective. As much as she despised them, she did have a family that was more or less whole and kept a roof over her head. Where Dirk snatched purses for money to buy tomatoes, and sometimes the thrill of it, Lilith smashed windows and slit tires just because she was angry with the world, and the more she got to know him, the more she respected Dirk.
After several other nights spent in the police precinct and one unfortunate night across from one another in juvenile detention, Lilith and Dirk began to spend time with one another outside of judiciary circumstances. By the summer before Junior Year, Lilith was spending all her time with Dirk, who, through his attention and care, helped her finally graduate out of the social academy. When she went to Dirk's house straight after school one day instead of going straight to the academy, Lilith realized with a smile that she was in love with Dirk Dreamer.

Chapter Two (Part 3): Troubled Teen Years

Her love for Dirk notwithstanding, nothing seemed to be going right in Lilith's life. Her grades had hit an all-time low and school administrators were threatening to hold her back a year in school. While most of her professors ignored the vast differences between her and her sister, one of Lilith's assistant principals made a call to child welfare to check in on the Pleasant household.
Faced with pending investigations that might hurt their respective careers, Daniel and Mary-Sue implored their favorite daughter to show pity on the other one and tutor her to keep her from failing.
Angela agreed and she forced Lilith to listen to her "lessons" on everything from math to physics. Lilith, knowing the only reason Angela had decided to tutor her was to have something brilliant to put on her college applications, took little joy from the sessions and spent much of the time half asleep and dreaming about Dirk.

Spending time with Dirk Dreamer was like a dream and for the first time in her life, Lilith felt at peace amidst the turmoil in her house. After Angela had stolen Dustin from her, Lilith had missed the simple act of having someone with whom she could talk well into the midnight hours and know would be there for her whenever she felt low. Nothing else bothered her anymore; not Angela's put downs during their arduous tutoring sessions, not insults from Mary-Sue or even her father's growing affair with the help. A calm had settled over her life through a benign Eros love and she relished it throwing aside all other cares.

Her days spent with uncaring teachers and antipathic peers, Lilith spent her nights with Dirk. They would sneak out together, sometimes to vent their frustrations on bare Pleasantview windows while other times they simply held hands and watched nature peacefully play across the bordering lakes of the town. Every night when he brought her home, Lilith would leap into Dirk's arms and they would whisper a quick "I love you" before parting ways for another night.
Daniel, having grown accustomed to hearing his other daughter either spending her time locked in her bedroom crying or being brought home by Officer Briggs, grew concerned over Lilith's newfound glow and despite Mary-Sue's apathy over the situation, began spying on Lilith. He researched everything he could on Dirk and his father Darren and upon learning about the former's quite lengthy juvenile record, rounded on Lilith after she crept home one night.

"I don't want you seeing that boy!" he said. "He's a criminal! Worse than you! Think of what the neighbors might say."
Eyes brimming with angry tears, Lilith shook her head at him. "The only reason you even give a care is because you think people will at Angela differently because I'm with him. You don't care about me at all! You just don't want me to be happy!"
"You're not much use to this family, but you can do better than him!" Daniel shouted.
"I don't want anyone else!" Lilith screamed in return. "I love him! We're going to get married someday and we're going to live a beautiful life together far away from you!"
"Over my dead body!" Daniel yelled. "If you're going to live in my house, you're going to obey my rules and I say that you're going to stay away from that boy!"
"That boy's name is Dirk Dreamer. I love him and he cares for me far more than you ever will."
Daniel ran a frustrated hand through his thinning hair. "You're too young to know what love is."
"I'm old enough to know that you never cared about me and I'm old enough to know that what you and Mary-Sue have isn't love. It's just something to keep the two of you from feeling like you're going to die alone."
"You will not speak to me like that," Daniel said.
"I'll speak to you any way I want, you adulterous monster!"
With those words, Lilith tore from the house and they did not see her again for three days.

"Maybe it's for the best," Mary-Sue said one night over dinner. "I mean, I certainly don't want her running around the house as we're getting so close to election time again."
Yet Daniel, felt a primordial fatherly concern for the daughter he had told himself he could not handle. The thought of his child running around the streets with a boy he knew would land her into even more trouble than juvenile detention was an incommodious blotch on his normally peaceful demeanor and he could not Lilith's last words out of his head.
When he had first married Mary-Sue, they were still young and happy to simply be together, but time had pushed them apart and he, Daniel, into the welcoming arms of another woman.
"I saw her, Daddy," Angela said, breaking his reverie. "They were running out of the convenience store on Main Street. They'd just stolen a box of Twinkies. To be honest, I'm surprised the two of them haven't come in here to hold us all at gunpoint, yet."
The front door opened quietly and Lilith stepped into the hallway, listening to her family.
"You know what?" she yelled as Mary-Sue began a second tirade about how wonderful life was without her. "If Officer Briggs hadn't forced me, I would never come back here to ruin your perfect family!"

Hearing the tell-tale crashes of a tantrum coming from Lilith's room, Daniel went upstairs and tried to appease his daughter.
"Just get out!" she yelled. "I hate having any of you near me!"
He started to leave when he heard the doorbell ring and when he opened the door a moment later, Daniel watched Dirk Dreamer step nonchalantly into his house.
"Is Lilith home?" Dirk said. "Normally wouldn't have dropped by like this, but I knew she got caught by Briggs and I needed to make sure she made it home all right."
Daniel drew himself to his full height and stared down the teenager. "Listen you...I want you to stay away from my daughter."
"Why?" Dirk said. "She can hang out with whoever she wants."
"Anyone, but you!" Daniel yelled. "I won't have you corrupting my children."
"Your children?" Dirk shouted. "You said you never wanted to have her! Remember? Lilith told me everything."
"I don't care what Lilith told you!" Daniel said. "I don't want to see you around her ever again! You're a bad influence!"
Lilith, having heard the argument from the stairs stepped forward and glared at her father. "Don't you dare yell at him! He's no more a bad influence than you are when you're sleeping with the maid in Mom's bed!"
Lilith took Dirk by the hand and spent the rest of the night just talking by the poolside allowing the reflecting lights to dance across them as they spoke about what life would be like when they were old enough to get married and always be together.

A gross tension seeped through the walls of Pleasant house over the next few days and Lilith's veritable words were at the root of the disquiet. Mary-Sue had long wondered why Daniel had seemed so fond of their maid who sometimes left the beds unmade, dishes lying in the sink and the toilets cleaned only half of the time, and her suspicions had reached an event horizon as Lilith's accusations echoed throughout the house.
Daniel and Mary-Sue's bickering became a constant soundtrack for the once calm household and while Angela seemed almost sick over the idea of her parents fighting, Lilith was not the least bit interested.
"It's what they deserve," Lilith said during one of their long-winded and useless tutoring sessions.
"No one deserves to be cheated on," Angela continued. "And no one deserves to have what that woman is trying to do to Dad. And, why did you have to say that when you knew Mom would hear it?"
Lilith slapped her History of the Western Sim World shut and glared at Angela. "I said it because it should have been said a long time ago. If Mary-Sue hadn't been so hell bent on getting on the city council, she would've seen it long before we did."
"But, you care," Angela said. "I know you do. Remember what we found about Kaylynn? You cared then. What's changed?"
Lilith shook her head as she rose to leave the living room. "You're so deluded, you know? How can I care at all when they don't care about me?"
"Well," Angela said, "if you weren't such a degenerate, maybe Mom and Dad would care about you a little more."
Lilith threw the history book at Angela and left her twin to listen to the harrowing echoes of their parents fighting in the next room for another night.

"For the last time, I'm not having an affair with Kaylynn."
"Don't lie to me, Daniel. I see the way she looks at you."
"Darling, I'm being honest," he lied. "I would never even look at another woman. I only have eyes for you."
"I don't believe you!"
Daniel opened his mouth to defend himself again when he heard a squeak from the corner of the room.
"Why are you fighting like this?" a tearful Angela asked.
He crossed the room and hugged his daughter. "We're not fighting," Daniel lied again. "Your mother and I were only talking, that's all."
"It doesn't sound like you're just talking," Angela said. "Why don't you just get rid of that Langerak woman if she's the one causing all this trouble?"
Daniel sighed. "Kaylynn needs this job and she does good work. I don't see a reason to get rid of her just because there have been some misunderstandings."
"Misunderstanding is right!" Mary-Sue yelled. "Tell me: am I misunderstanding the way she flips that little skirt of hers anytime she passes by you?"
"Now, don't start on that again!" Daniel shouted.

As the argument flared, Angela ran upstairs to cry on the phone with Dustin, when she noticed the light on in Lilith's bedroom.
"They argue all the time now!" she said, nearly pleading with her twin, hoping for some sense of solace. "They're going to break up, I just know it."
Lilith scoffed as she flipped a black nail polish brush off the edge of her fingernail.
Angela stormed across the room and slapped her, spilling the small bottle across the rug. "What is the matter with you! They're your parents too! Why don't you care about anyone but yourself!"
Lilith stood quickly and pushed Angela away from her. "I don't care about them because they never once gave a damn' about me and when I'm eighteen, I'll be so far from this place, it'll blow your mind."
Angela shook her head as she turned to leave the room. "When you turn eighteen, you'll be lying on the couch wishing you'd done something with you life. I can see it now: I'll be having the time of my life with Dustin at college, and after that Dirk boy sees you for who you are and drops you, you'll be here with Mom and Dad, alone and feeling sorry for yourself."
Lilith picked up the nail polish bottle and threw it at Angela just as she slammed the door shut.
The next day, after she kissed Dirk goodbye, Lilith gave him an extra long hug. Angela's cruel words resounded in her head and while she did not want to think it possible, she still worried what might happen if the boy she loved so much left her all alone.

IM DYING FOR AN UPDATE HURRY!!!!!!!!!!!

I like this!  You really put a lot of work into the lives of these sims.  It almost makes me want to go back and play them.  But I ended up moving Daniel, scum that he was, and Mary Sue out and then deleting them (oops!).  The twins have grown and started their own lives, but managed to mend their relationship first.

You really had me hating this family, lol.  I wanted to reach through my moniter and strangle the Pleasants - poor Lillith.  I feel so bad for her!  I sure hope she and her renegade boyfriend can have a good (legal!) life together.

Well, I had planned on an update today, but as you can see from the fact that none of the images are loading, I am having gross server issues right now. All of my pictures are hosted off my own website and I am so angry that the site is down that I am just about ready to change hosts altogether. :redface: Anyone have suggestions for decent web hosts?

I am working on it, though (lots and lots of yelling and nasty e-mails) and as soon as I get it resolved, I will post an update.

Finally! All the server issues are resolved and I wrote my first novel ever (If anyone was interested in the beta read, here it is (http://svu.doriennesmith.com/flight.php)), and now I am free for Lilith.

@vickylougrl: I only got a few "update please" e-mails from here, but I was talking about going back and forth with my webhost. The site was down for close to a day and I use for about a half a dozen things, so it was a really big problem, especially since I pay for the service.

A note to all: The story-to-image ratio is getting kind of ridiculous on my part, so in the future, I will try to take more pictures to go along with what I have written. The story is also starting to shift a bit and I just want to reiterate that this is The Tragedy of Lilith B. Pleasant. ;)

Chapter Two (Part 4): Troubled Teen Years

Time moved forward in the Pleasant household though little had changed. Mary-Sue and Daniel still slept in the same beds, yet on the farthest sides of the bed and kept conversation to a minimum when they were not both delving into their own careers. Angela used success as her defense mechanism to the troubles at home and progessed to new academic and social heights. By the time she and Lilith entered their last year of high school, she had claimed the crown for Homecoming Queen, become captain of her varsity volleyball team and was well on her way to achieving class valedictorian at the school year's end.
Lilith, too, kept her focus away from her home. With Dirk at her side, she became nothing short of sty on the eyes of the Pleasantview populace. She and Dirk stole anytime they wanted, regardless if they needed anything and used their evenings to plan more devious machinations on the town. Their greatest feat was beheading the paper machee statuette that was created for Angela's Homecoming float just minutes before the parade, and, though no one held any evidence that could prove it, they had also held up a liquor store just to see if it could be done.

Eventually, Lilith found herself spending more time in juvenile detention than at school or home and which also meant time spent time away from Dirk. Each time they were caught, they were sent to separate detention centers and could only talk to one another for minutes at a time every other day. After an incident involving eighteen cans of spray paint, Lilith and Dirk did not see or hear from one another for a month. Lilith, having developed something nearing a friendship with Officer Briggs after being constantly brought home for truancy, was let out of the detention after only three days. Dirk received close to a month.
Throughout Dirk's longest incarceration yet, Lilith could only find snippets of time to talk to him as Daniel and Mary-Sue had point-blank refused to get her a cell phone, the money from the liquor store heist was tainted and Angela spent hours on the house phone instead of her cell simply because she was privy to Lilith's plight. When she was able to talk to Dirk, she noticed a change in everything from the words he said to his demeanor in general. He spoke constantly about the programs available for kids like him who did not have the best of upbringings and talked about the "help" with school work he was getting from tutors. To her complete surprise, he even mentioned the thought of going to college, an idea neither had considered, thinking that college was simply a breeding ground for people like Angela.

When he was finally sent home, Dirk appeared to be a completely different person. He still looked and dressed the same, but was a definite shift in his personality that became more profound during his first few days out of juvenile detention. Lilith sometimes found herself bored by his constant descriptions of all the things he had learned from tutors while in detention and how he thought the world held a wealth of opportunities for the pair of them. Lilith had wanted everything to go back to normal between the two of them once he got out, but more and more often, Dirk said and did things reminiscent of Angela. He had an inquistive look in his eye in regards to anything relating to math and art and much to Lilith's annoyance, he began to take her to art galleries to just stare at the artwork which he had recently learned to appreciate.
At one point, she even had to remind him of their plans of a future together when he dropped a question out of the blue.
"What are you planning to do after high school?" he asked.
Lilith stared at him for a long time, hoping that he was only semi-serious. "We're supposed to be getting married. Remember?"
"Oh...well, yeah, but what about other than that? I mean, we can't go on heisting convenience stores, right?"

But, the question left her uneasy at best, almost as much as a new friend he had met while in detention. Allison Holland was new to Pleasantview and volunteered to tutor "disadvantaged" kids in juvenile detention. Lilith and Dirk spent a few evenings hanging out with Allison and her older brother, but lilith was bored almost instantly. While Allison seemed nice enough, she had an air about her that suggested she thought she knew what was best for people and often offered to help "fix" Lilith's appearance. The fact that Allison had once called her "Angela" did not help Lilith warm to her either.
Dirk's new friend notwithstanding, Lilith still looked at Dirk with stars in her eyes and even indulged his newfound enjoyment for school and things like Scrabble and chess. She soon saw an improvement to her grades and Mary-Sue used the fact to aggrandize Angela's tutoring efforts as ingenious, though Angela had long since abandoned Lilith for her own scholastic endeavours.

"You should be happy," Mary-Sue would say. "Your sister has pulled out all stops to bring up your miserable grades."
The suggestion that it was Angela, and not Dirk, who had helped her, aggravated Lilith to no end.
"Would you just stop already! Your precious Angela hasn't done anything for me!"
"She's the reason you may actually graduate!"
"No, she isn't. The boy you people refused to let me see is the only one who has done anything for me. He cares about me and whether or not I do well in school, unlike you and Daniel."
"I don't know why I even bother with you! I just wanted to give you the only compliment you've ever deserved and you're just screaming for no reason."
"I'm not screaming for no reason! I'm screaming because I'm just as much your daughter as Angela and you treat her like she's plated in gold! Why!"
"Because you're nothing but an ingrate and shouldn't have been born. Just get out of my sight and go to your room!"
Lilith was ready to strike her mother. "Don't tell me what to do! You should be spending less time bothering me and more time trying to piece together you marriage!"
Before Mary-Sue could retaliate again, Lilith tore from the house to spend the night at Dirk's with his crazy father. That night, Mary-Sue cried herself to sleep as Lilith's words echoed in her head.

When she and Daniel had taken time to speak to one another, he reiterated that there was nothing going on between him and the maid, but Lilith knew better. The sparkle in his eyes when he stared at her had long since left and with each day that passed, Mary-Sue became more and more certain of Daniel's infidelity.
"They'll break up for sure when she finds out," Angela said standing in Lilith's doorway. She had taken to standing the doorway to vent her frustrations about their parents, much to Lilith's displeasure. "It's only a matter of time at this point. I can see it now: Mom will come home and then she'll catch Daddy and that woman and then everything will be ruined."
"Well, everything's never been all peaches for me anyways. Anyways, I'm sure she'll let him stay just out of habit even if she does catch him at something."
"No, she won't," Angela argued. "Mother's a strong woman. She won't allow that."
"A strong pain in my ass."
"Why don't you care about your family!"
"I don't have to. They're just your family. Go away. I've already told you, I don't care."
"Yes, you do," Angela said. "You would care if it happened to you."
"It's not going to happen to me."
"If that boy you like cheated on you, you'd be on your knees and crying your eyes out."
Angela's last comment had her dodging the flying boot Lilith had thrown toward the door and she did not bother Lilith again for the rest of the night.

The next day, Mary-Sue came home from the office early and frustrated. Despite all of her valiant efforts, Congressmen Michaels was not going to be re-elected to another term and to make matters worse, her car axel had broken, causing a multi-car pileup on the expressway to bring the perfect end to an already miserable day.
Daniel's car shined in the driveway directly next to Kaylynn's van and a light calm came over her.
"Well, it's almost time for the girls to come home," she thought. "Surely, he would not try something when he knows they'll be home soon. Maybe he was telling the truth."
She stepped through the front door to find the house oddly quiet. When she called out "Hello?" to see if anyone was home at all, her only response was a hissed whisper, "Quick! Get out!"

Mary-Sue ran toward the bedroom she and Daniel had shared for years and let out a howl of a scream.
"YOU!"
Pain ripped through her as she stared at Daniel and Kaylynn's half nude forms shifting out of her bed. Images flashed through her mind of the first kiss she shared with Daniel, exchanging vows of forever and all eternity, and the day she first learned that they were going to become parents at long last. After all their troubles with Lilith and joys with Angela, Daniel lay before her, in their bed, with the help.
Moments later, all inhibitions wiped from mind, Mary-Sue threw herself at Kaylynn and hit, bit and scratched at every orafice within reach. Though rage cascaded over her, time had taken its toll on her body and Kaylynn's twenty-six-year-old frame easily trumped Mary-Sue' s, but not before she managed to drag Kaylynn, still half-dressed, out the door and down the steps, throwing her maid's uniform and belongings after her.
Mary-Sue then turned her rage toward Daniel. "You! I trusted you!"
"I'm sorry..." Daniel said, cowering under her rage.

He pleaded with her for more than an hour as she berated him over and over and over again. The moment they had stepped off the bus from school, Lilith and Angela heard the raucus and ran into the house to see Mary-Sue screaming at Daniel. Angela burst into immediate tears at the sight, but Lilith, feeling that they had received their just rewards, fell into a fit of laughter.
"P-Please, Mary-Sue," Daniel pleaded with open arms. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry! I was weak."
Yet, his cries fell onto a hardened heart.
"Get out!" Mary-Sue yelled. "Get out now! I never want to see you again. You can go live with your whore!"
"But, my whole life is here. Please! I never meant for this to go so far! I just want to make a fresh start!"
"You can make a fresh start with your whore!" Mary-Sue yelled and pointed toward the door. Go!"
With a heavy heart, Daniel packed his things and left the house in which he had raised his perfect Angela, and then Lilith, to live with Kaylynn on the other side of town.
"Please take him back, Mom!" Angela cried after Daniel had gone. "I'm sure he didn't mean it and he sounded like he was geniunely sorry."
Mary-Sue would only shake her head. "I don't want him in my house."
"She'll cave," Lilith said once Mary-Sue had retreated to cry in her now empty bedroom. "He'll be back because she's weak and she'll cave."
"God, I hate you," Angela seethed. "I can't believe you laughed at them."
"It was funny! They spent all this time pushing me down as low as I could go and their marriage fell apart in the meanwhile. I think it's funny as hell."
Angela glared at her sister, and for the first time ever, she ran away from home to spend the night at Dustin's house.

Days turned into weeks and before anyone knew what had happened, a month had passed since Daniel's departure. Mary-Sue cried openly for her broken marriage and Angela, much to Lilith's delight, spent an exhorbant time away from the house, especially after noticing Mary-Sue drafting divorce papers in her office. Lilith viewed the entire event with the annoyance held with constantly bickering children.
Two months to the day that Mary-Sue had come home to find Daniel in bed with another woman, Daniel came home from his retirement party to a surprise of his own. At first, it seemed a mistake.
"How can this be?" he kept asking himself, but he knew the answer before the question had left his lips.
Kaylynn did to him with a young, green-eyed medical school student, exactly what he had done to his wife of thirty years.
"How could you do this to me!" Daniel screamed at Kaylynn, who could only respond with "I...I don't know..."
Dumbfounded and heartbroken, Daniel left the small apartment and returned to the only place he called home. He confronted the old house on his hands and knees and begged Mary-Sue to allow him back home.
"I want to see Angela graduate and I want to see her off to school," he pleaded. "Please. Let me spend these last few months with her in our house."
Mary-Sue's eyes bored into his, yet she finally sighed and opened the door wide enough to him let him back into the house.
"This doesn't mean anything for us," she reminded him. "I just don't want you sleeping on our front door step and giving the neighbors something to talk about."

"With Don Lothario?" Angela said, speaking to her father with a slight smile on her face, just happy that he was home. "Ooh! He's hot."
Daniel glared at her, and she quickly responded, "Think of the bright side. It could've been just anybody, but it was Don Lothario."
"That's not comforting," Daniel said with red eyes.
Though Daniel had moved back into the house, he and Mary-Sue no longer shared a bed and the living room became his makeshift bedroom.
"Why doesn't he just get an apartment and live like a normal, single divorcee?" Lilith asked one day after watching pausing by the television in front of which Daniel slept soundly.
Angela crossed the room and shoved Lilith angrily. "Maybe because he still wants to be with his family! Maybe because he cares about us!"
A fight ensued, which Lilith quickly won, and with a flip of her hair, she stormed from the house. "I told you!" she yelled as she left. "You're just mad because I was right!"
"I'm just mad because you don't care about anyone, but yourself!" Angela screamed from the front door. "You won't care until this happens to you!"
Lilith gave her sister the finger and laughed as she ran towards Dirk's house.
"It's never going to happen to me," she thought. "I love Dirk and he loves me...and always will."

Great update!  Daniel had it coming, he really did.  What goes around comes around.  I have a really bad feeling about Dirk and Allison, though.  I can't help but feeling Lilith's last line is foreshadowing something.  I hope Lilith comes out okay in the end.  Looking forward to more.

October was a really rough month for me personally and simming was the last thing on my mind. Into November, I was trying to get my book going and that pushed Lilith and co. even farther back from the forefront. Okay...So, I know it has been more than four months since I have updated and I know that I have teased a lot of you with promises of updates here and there. For all of that, I do apologize.

To sum up the past four months: I was trying to get my fanfiction novel going, work full-time, go to school full-time, have half a dozen jobs in my church and then deal with losing a dear friend of my in a car accident and also a woman I thought of as a grandmother in a malpractice instance. Needless to say, I have been busy.

Recently, I was accepted to a creative writing class at my school and this burst of inspiration sprang to life. I remembered that I had not looked at this in several months and so, here we are. I cannot promise weekly or even bi-weekly updates since it takes a lot for me to create the simple pictures that I have, but I will promise I will not go another for months without an update. Cheers! :D

Chapter Two (Part 5): Troubled Teen Years

The weeks wore on in Pleasantview, but Lilith found herself falling into a hapless state of melancholy. She wanted to spend every waking minute with Dirk, but the time they had together grew increasing short as his tutoring sessions lasted longer and longer and became more frequent throughout the week.
In addition to her frustration over how her time with her boyfriend was being eaten away by activities that did not include her, Lilith was bombarded with discussions of other people during the little time she did have with Dirk. Their conversations, which used to only include what they were going to do together once they turned eighteen, now always came back to something Dirk had discovered with Allison during his tutoring.
"Oh, and guess what else Allison told me about history," Dirk would say or "Guess what Allison and her brother are doing this weekend!" and then launch into a twenty-minute diatribe about Allison "this" and Allison "that" leaving Lilith more annoyed than satisfied to be spending time with her boyfriend.

Intent to not allow the sparkle to dwindle from her relationship, Lilith tried everything she could to keep Dirk with her and even went with him while Allison tutored him, though she found the sessions frightfully boring.
When she had gone an entire week without even speaking Dirk, Lilith prepared for the worst, but as her heart began to set into a grey depression, Dirk strolled by her house with a wide grin on his face. He had arranged a dinner at the fanciest restaurant in Pleasantview for just the two of them. Even as she listened to Dirk talk about the reservations, her heart beat wildly at the thought of being with Dirk in such an intimate atmosphere.
Lilith practically ran all the way home from school the afternoon before her evening with Dirk and put on the dress she had been saving for a "special" occasion.
"This is the night," she said to herself. "Tonight's the night Dirk is going to propose to me."

When 6:30 had come and gone without any sign of Dirk, Lilith began pacing in the foyer wondering why he had could be running late. By 8:00, Lilith continually called Dirk's house hoping to hear some news, but his father would only answer saying that Dirk had left the house at six o'clock and he had not heard from him.
Fearing the worst, Lilith was ready to "borrow" the car and drive up and down the streets looking for him in case something terrible had happened, but as she headed for the door, Mary-Sue called for her.
"Lilith! Someone's calling for you."

"I'm so sorry, 'Lil," Dirk said into the phone. "Time just got away from me and it's so late already."
Lilith sighed as she attempted to hold back tears. In the living room, Angela and Dustin cuddled together on the sofa, but they had stopped whispering to one another so they could properly hear what Lilith was saying.
"It-It's...It's Okay, Dirk. Can you just come over for a bit so we can spend some time together?"
"I would...really," Dirk said, "but my dad's really mad at me right now for taking off today and I'm kind of grounded."
"Oh...okay. Well, I guess I'll see you a little later..."
Lilith hung up the phone to see Angela nuzzling Dustin's neck with a wicked grin on her face, yet that was not what was troubling Lilith most.
"He never cared what his dad said before," Lilith thought as she slowly trekked to her bedroom. "And why would his dad suddenly ground him for running around all afternoon? We've been gone for days before...heck, we've been arrested together. Why would his dad start caring now?"
That night, every part of Lilith wanted to simply cry herself to sleep. Instead, she stared out her window and watched the moon move across the sky while wondering what she had done to make Dirk want to lie to her.

The next morning, Lilith began calling Dirk every hour on the hour. At first, she started on his cell until it went directly to voicemail and then continued calling his house until his father had told her to stop calling and that he would have Dirk call her when he saw him again. Lilith waited by the phone for the rest of the day, but never got a call.
When she awakened the next day, any vestige of self-pity had vanished and anger simply overwhelmed her. She stormed to Dirk's house before she could stop herself and banged on the door until Dirk came to the door surprised to see her.
"Oh! Hey..."
"Hey?" she said, trying her best not to strike out at him with the same anger she had normally reserved for Angela. "What do you mean 'Hey?' I called and called yesterday, but you never called me back!"
Dirk looked behind him briefly and Lilith could see Allison and a circle of her friends sitting in Dirk's living room.
"What's going on Dirk?"

He closed the door and took a deep breath.
"What do you mean?" he said.
"I thought you were grounded and you're just here hanging out."
"Kind of grounded. You know how my dad can be."
"Oh, so that's it..."
"I'm sorry."
"That's what you said yesterday," Lilith said, braced for an argument. "What is going on?"
"Nothing."
"Then, why didn't you ever call me back? I called you all day long!"
"I'm sorry!"
"Is that the best answer you've got for me? That you're sorry?"
"I am!" Dirk shouted. "I just...Yesterday, we were all hanging out at Allison's and we just got busy."
"We?"
Dirk motioned to the gathering in his house. "Yeah...everybody."
"What about us, Dirk?"
"We're still us. Why don't you come in and meet everybody?"
"I don't want to meet everybody. Half of those kids go to my school and are friends with Angela."
"They're cool people once you get to know them."
"I don't want to get to know them. I just want to spend some time with you."

Dirk opened his mouth to respond as Allison and her friends came out of his house.
"Hey Dirk!" Allison said. "We're heading back to my place for dinner. My mother's making her lobster bisque. Oh...hi Lilith."
Lilith glared at her, but when the full force of her stare turned on Dirk, he took a step backward before gathering his nerve.
"Lilith...come with us. Please. We'll all hang out and we'll have a great time."
Shaking her head, Lilith began to back away from him.
"I can't believe you stood me up to hang out with them..."
"I didn't! I told you I-"
"I don't care, Dirk. You are not the person I thought you were."
"Please Lilith!" Dirk called as she continued to back away from him. "Just hang out with us for a little while."
Lilith paid him no mind and walked, stony-faced, all the way back home to find Angela and Dustin on the backyard swings.
"Get off the swings," she said in a low voice.
Angela and Dustin glanced at one another and quickly left the swing set; neither wanted to risk any further conversation given the expression on Lilith's face.

"Hey," a voice called as twilight faded to darkness around Lilith.
She looked up and found Dirk approaching her, but she made no move to greet him.
"C'mon," he said. "Are you really going to be like that?"
"Like what, Dirk?" she spat. "You chose Allison and her friends over me today. This is the only way I know how to be."
"It wasn't like that."
"Then how was it?"
"I don't want to fight anymore."
"Neither do I."
Silence fell upon them as a warm wind blew Lilith slightly in the swing seat. Dirk dug his toes in the ground as she refused to meet his gaze.
"Well," he said after five minute's silence. "I don't know what's happened between us, but I'd really like it if we could just start over."
Lilith felt her eyebrows rise, but still said nothing.
"C'mon," Dirk said. "We'll go to the park and just hang out. Just you and me."
At that, she glanced at him to find his eyes shining in the moonlight.
"Okay," Lilith said, finding his charming smile too much for her to resist.

That night, they ran the streets like old times and did whatever they wanted to whomever they wanted. However, all the while, even when they were running from the cops chasing them out of the park, Lilith could not shake the feeling that something had changed in Dirk.
His kisses felt different and even the way he held her hand had changed from when they first got together. A part of her wanted to chalk up everything to the both of them growing older, but the nagging concern could not be shaken.
"He's not the kid he used to be," she thought as she finally put herself to bed early Monday morning.
Throughout the next day, the tension that had been pulling Lilith in all directions seemed to lift, even as she passed by people she knew were friends of Allison.
When she got home, she was nearly skipping when she got a message from Dirk asking if she wanted to hang out with him that night.
"What are you so happy about?" Angela said as Lilith brushed past her.
"Don't talk to me," Lilith said.
"Whatever," Angela said. "Oh and by the way...I went for a run today and I saw your boyfriend and some girl holding hands by his house when I ran by there."
Lilith stopped short. "You're a liar."
"What? Why would I lie about something so trivial?"

"You're so full it! He just left me a message about hanging out tonight. Why would he say he wanted to meet at the movies if he was doing something with that girl?"
"Okay fine. Live in denial. I was just trying to prepare you. I don't know why he would've wanted to stay with someone like you for this long anyway."
"Why are you even talking to me?" Lilith yelled. "I just said to leave me alone."
"And everyone thinks the same thing too," Angela continued as if she had not heard Lilith. "Dustin was just telling me other day how I saved him. He was actually thinking about asking you out before I rescued him from himself."
At that, Lilith had to react and within minutes the fight that had ensued between her and Angela had grown so violent that Mary-Sue and Daniel had to pry them apart from each other.
"Get off of me!" Lilith screamed as she pushed Daniel away from her and ran to her room.
She had tried not to let Angela get to her, but she succumbed to the goading nonetheless. The only thoughts that comforted her were those concerning Dirk.
"He and I going out tonight and we're going to live the life we've been planning," she said aloud to herself.

"Hey Loser!" Angela called from the stairs an hour later. "There's someone here for you."
Knowing it could only be Dirk, Lilith ran down the stairs grinning wildly when she saw him at the door.
"I thought I was supposed to meet you at the movies," she said almost shaking with excitement. "Change of plans?"
"Yeah…I guess you could say that."
Lilith noted that there was no happy glint to his face and Angela's words began to echo in her head. Several minutes passed with neither of them saying anything before Dirk broke the silence.
"Lilith," he began, but his eyes fell toward the ground.
"What?" Lilith asked, her heart fearing how he might answer. "What is it?"
"Lilith," he repeated solemn with a seriousness in his eyes Lilith had never seen. "We...we need to talk."

Yeah, definitely! I am going off of how I played out her life in my game. Going off of that is half the struggle when it comes to taking pictures because I have to go back and use different mods to grow sims back "down" and edit them back to the way they were at different points in the story. 'Lo all!

No! I'm not dead after all; just rather busy and a little stunted creatively as far as this story is concerned. Outside of having a few bits of writer's block and spending a month getting my game in working condition again after installing FreeTime, I had to take a whole month away from ALL extracurricular fun to focus on school and follow my sims in graduating from a university...(insert more lame excuses)...but all that said, I'm back! And, for the record, I am very much a she/her.

This is the last part of Chapter Two and is rather depressing, but there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. Though I feel I must press (and press hard) that this is supposed to be a tragedy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tragedy), Lilith will experience some happiness soon. I am not completely evil. :)

And so, for those of you who still care at this point....

Chapter Two (Part 6): Troubled Teen Years

"Look, we're just going in different directions. When we were in the park the other day, it finally dawned on me that we aren't the same people we used to be. I mean...I've been doing so much better in school that I actually have a shot at going to college, but you don't seem to want to go anywhere with me."
"What are you talking about?" she said. "We were fine just the other day. I thought you said you wanted to start over."
His eyes fell to the ground. "I don't know how to say this, but...I've been talking to some friends of mine and...well, Lilith, I just don't think this is going to work out."
She felt her eyes burning, but she looked toward the navy sky in hopes of keeping the tears at bay. "How long have you felt this way?"
"A while. A long while actually, but I just didn't know how to say it to you."
She turned away from him. Despite all her efforts, tears had escaped her eye brims and she did not want to let him see her cry.

"Lilith," he said touching her shoulder, but she shrugged his hand off of her.
"Don't touch me."
"Please don't be like that. I still want us to be friends."
She clenched her hands, but still kept her back to him. "Friends? Friends like that Allison girl?"
"Let's not bring her into this," Dirk said. "It's not her fault that we grew apart."
"Grew apart!" Lilith yelled as she turned to face him. "What the hell do you mean grew apart? Don't you know that you're the only thing that's given me any hope? You know what life is like in my house. You know my sister. How can you say this to me?"
He only blinked at her and at that, she allowed the tears freely stream down her face.
"I'm sorry," he said finally. "I don't know what else to say."
"What about me, Dirk? What about me! How am I suppose to live without you?"
He stared at the ground and began to leave. "I don't know. You'll figure it out."

The next few weeks went by in a torrent of tears and depression. Days had gone by where Lilith would not even get out of bed and instead, spent the day staring at the ceiling in her bed room and thinking about Dirk. Many times she would find the strength to stare at the telephone wanting to call, but something between pride and anger kept her from doing anything more than dialing the first six numbers and hanging up the phone.
Angela's insults and the constant bickering of her parents did nothing to Lilith's mood. At any other point in time, the rush of Angela's laughs about seeing Dirk and Allison together around town would have sent Lilith into a tizzy of rage, but without the thought of being with Dirk any longer, she simply let the harsh words fall against her with no reaction.

Daniel and Mary-Sue began new sets of arguments when Lilith came home with a notice from her truant officer that said the parents were due in court to explain their daughter's actions. Mary-Sue accused Daniel of starting Lilith's spiral when he first confronted Dirk. Daniel, taking any side that was not Mary-Sue's blamed his ex-wife for not being more understanding of their "other daughter." Neither parent concerned Lilith any longer. There was nothing else that could be said or done.

May came into Pleasantview very suddenly and with it came no ease to Lilith's depression. Aside from catching Dirk and Allison on what was once "their" bench during one of her long, aimless walks, Lilith watched as the college acceptance letters came in from around the country for Angela.
"We're so proud of you," Mary-Sue said as she pulled Angela into a hug.
The letter from the Simvard University, the nation's highest ranking undergraduate school, had come in the mail claiming not only Angela's acceptance, but also her full-ride scholarship to the school.
Lilith watched with a heart that could take no more trauma as Mary-Sue and Daniel came together to fawn over their child and went to her room to cry on the floor. Her eighteenth birthday was nearing, but she was all alone. Angela was going off to college, as was Dirk, and Lilith knew that soon she would be out of high school and left with nothing. Everything that Angela had said was about to come true.

As night fell, Lilith pulled herself to her knees and prayed for the first time in her life. She did not know to whom she was praying, but she was just trying to obtain some sense of hope or peace; something that would give her reason to think the future would bring some peace to her tragic, young life.
Tears came harder as time passed and just when Lilith was ready to give up, she heard a sound from her door.
Angela was in the corner of the room...laughing.
"You are too much," Angela said. "I told you that boy of yours was cheating on you, but you didn't believe me. I told you, you'd never amount to anything. You didn't believe me and here you are, on your knees and crying for something that's never going to happen. Why don't you just do the world a favor and go drown yourself in the pool."

To Angela's surprise, Lilith did nothing but pull herself up and into her bed. Angela, fully expecting an onslaught of fisticuffs from her twin, stared in awe at the now sobbing person who had once shared an egg with her.
That night, Lilith's tears poured from her eyes and did not stop. Not when she rose in the morning, not when she was sent home from school in the afternoon, not when she put herself to bed again. At times, she would simply stop mid-step and allow the tears to fall, yet her family still ignored her.

As the pain began to finally subside, Lilith's tears started to dry and, she made up her mind to do whatever she could to end high school on a positive note. She hit the books as she had once done with Dirk and tried to make up for lost time, but soon realized it was too little, too late. The day before their eighteenth birthday, Lilith appealed to her sister for help, but Angela, who spent her days beautifying herself without a shred of ethics or morality concerning those around her, scoffed at Lilith's request.
"Are you kidding me?" she said. "Help you? Honestly! I'm graduating in the top of our class in two weeks and I'm much too busy. And, even if I wasn't, I'm not lifting a finger for a reject like you. My time's too valuable and I know it'll just be wasted."
Lilith did not bother to respond.

The third of June came and left as a joyous celebration of an eighteenth birth and also accomplishment for Angela Pleasant who was showered with gift upon gift, from a brand new car to two thousand dollars worth of American Express gift cards to be used at her leisure. Mary-Sue and Daniel were so cheerful that it seemed like old times for them...and also Lilith. For her, the day was spent in the dry tub of the upstairs bathroom, the only room in the house that remained dark throughout the day and sufficiently filtered the buoyant noise from Angela's party downstairs. She did not want to see any of her family, who never bothered to congratulate her on pulling up her grades enough, in just one month, to graduate from high school, and Lilith was in no mood to deal with Angela's friends and admirers. With no Dirk to commiserate, she simply wanted to be left alone.

August came as quickly as May and June had come and gone and, with it, all noises throughout the house regarded Angela's preparation to leave home for school. Dorm accessories had been purchased and books had been gathered for her first term at school. The night before she left her happy childhood home, Angela noticed a figure lying on the sofa. Truth be told, she barely had had time to think about her twin throughout the summer, so when she saw Lilith on the sofa staring at the blank television, she was caught a bit off guard.
If Angela was a nicer person, she might have said some words of encouragement to Lilith at that moment. If Angela was a more sincere person, she might have asked for her sister to come visit her at school, in hopes that she might want to make something of herself. If Angela had even been a moral person, she might have acknowledged that if she was the one born six minutes later, she would have been the one who was hated and emotionally abused throughout her life. Yet Angela was not nice or sincere or moral, and snickered at the sight before her.

"It's just like I said," Angela laughed. "I'm with Dustin. That boy wised up and dumped you, and you're here all alone." With those last words, Angela left Lilith to her thoughts.
Sighing on the sofa, Lilith still stared at the blank television screen, but it was not a completely empty sigh. Though Angela's premonitions had come to fruition, Lilith thought she could see a vision of herself in the darkened TV set. She saw herself married to a man who loved her and with children she could raise in a happy, love-filled home.
She nodded to herself as she heard Mary-Sue and Daniel shower praise on the daughter they wanted.
"I'm going to leave this house," she thought to herself. "I'll find someone who loves me for me and I'll leave here...and I'll never look back."

Poor Lilith... After reading this story, I sympathize her a lot, although I almost never I play this household.
Actually, in my households all the family's members are really closed to each other, with high carrier level and family balance, excellent students and with a lot of skills and badges. But I guess the perfect life stories are the most boring! =-)

in my game, i had lilith taken in by their grandparents, the oldies, and angela pregnant by don lothario as a teen (got inteen) first, then by dirk dreamer after i sent them all to college. dustin breaks up with her after that one and lilith b****slaps dirk and dumps him. angie drops out of college to raise her triplets (her fist born is being raised by daniel and mary-sue) and lives in a one bedroom dump while lilith finds love, gets married (not to dustin) and gets her gradparent's home after they die. now that i know AL is gonna have witches, well... :D

I understand your updating dilemma. Being an author myself (or at least, I like to think I am) I have some days where I don't feel like loading my impossibly slow sims game, and instead I just laze around. Good luck with further installments. I can't wait!

This is a great story.  I usually get Lilith out of the house ASAP, but I never really gave it much though as to the backstory.  It does make a lot of sense, given the personalities in the household and the pics in their story.

this is my story about lilith






Lilith and Angela Pleasant had just turbed 16. Angela was happy spoilt and clevr. Lilith was phisically and emotionally scared, alone, and had attempted suicide many times, bu at last the pair had settled their differences and were best of friend. i wish i could say the samr about daniel and mary sue, the twins parents. daniel had been caught having an affair with the maid and now mary sue was anorexiec, sick and continuously in and out of hospital.



lilith, one day was walking in the park when her boyfriend dork dreamer approached her, and told her to sit down...




that night running into her house lilith screamed at her mom "guess what". mary sues answer was "WHAT" lilith smiled, for the first time ever and said "he propesed IM ENGAGED TO DIRK DREAMER!!" her sister ran in and said "mom..... i am too!" the sisters started talking about a double wedding. 3 years later and lilith had 3 children, 2 daughters, Lila and Solo and a son Rai. the twins had had the double wedding they wanted, but angela was concerntrating on trying to get to uni.


then one day everyone turned against lilith. she ran into the road and died later in hospital.  her family knew they were to blame but wouldnt admit it.EVER. except angela.




she studied hard, and after graduating from uni, reached the top of the paranormal career. her reward was the ressurect-a-nomitron and she used it. her twin was alive and then as if by magic turned to the age she should have been made up with every one and said  to her family"dont try suicide being dead sucks"


she still lives on to this da :);)

Lila I think this was a very popular story.  People liked the way kaitco told it why don't you start your own interpretation on a new thread with pictures and maybe go over your text and clean it up a bit?

Maybe you will get more response that way?  It's really hard to do a story like kaitco was doing with detail and engaging readers with your characters not to mention pictures that look good.  I myself have started many stories and lost the will to continue them.

I am not sure when it will happen, but I DO plan on updating this story. I am just in the midst of writing a "real" novel right now as well as working on several other projects at the same time. I love The Sims and storytelling in general, but I have priorities and, unfortunately, this story comes very low on a long list. This story is also double the effort because, like vickylougrl said, it is the story AND the pictures; both have to be presentable for me to be willing to publish them.

I had wanted to begin working on it again in October, but got a little dismayed because I realized that I was not going to meet my personal deadline for my "real" book and because a couple of comments and PMs I had received about this. To be honest, a couple people said some things that really ticked me off and that has a way of putting a little damper on any creative thoughts about a story I am writing simply because I enjoy characterization.

I know it has been months and months, but I WILL get back to this story. Right now, I want to polish the remaining story because the upcoming plot line changes direction quite a bit and I want to do something more with my images. I cannot promise a date at this point, but the story will get updated eventually. That's all I can say for now...

Some parts of it I don't like, but it's because I'm too attached to Lilith. So that's my fault, not yours. And the title is the "Tragedy of" meaning it probably isn't going to end in happy puppies kittens sun shine rainbows so quickly, and there's a good chance the ending won't be happy for Lilith at all. I mean call me a nut, but if you want a happy ending for Lilith, don't read something called the Tragedy of Lilith. Maybe I'm just weird. I do think some parts are a little over board on how bad things were for Lilith, but it's a story. I've read novels that had kids put through worse, and those were based on real life, just a few names changed. I guess all and all I do like it, and I do want to see what happens, it's just not like my top favorite thing of like all time. I hope that doesn't sounds offensive, because it shouldn't.

I really do like how you went back so far though. I guess we'll see what happens next when you write it.

Personally, I've always liked Lilith over Angela, because Lilith got ignored, while Angela got all the attention. That's typically the case when parent/s favor a child, the favored one gets more attention, and is prefect and doesn't get punished as much. I wasn't the favored one, so I know what that's like. I'm not a twin or anything, but that doesn't mean all 5 of us got treated equally. Anyway, I'll probably stumble in here again when you update the story. gl with things in rl.

Good to hear that you are working on a "real" novel, but I am wondering WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO UPDAAATE? It's been seven months since the last update and I'm re-reading the chapters over and over again!

Now, I realize that writing a novel needs the utmost concentration and effort put into it, as I myself am a writer, but I've chewed up all my nails and I'm starting on my flesh now!
