Hello everybody!

This is my very first sim story. The Pleasantview sims are so interesting that a story just kind of grows. The first chapters will seem kind of familiar, but as time goes on new story lines will develop. I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed playing it!

CHAPTER 1  -- A Heart's Desire --

Cassandra Goth looked nervously in the bathroom mirror. She wants everything to look perfect. This is her big day. The wedding arch, the grand buffet and of course her loving fiancee, Don Lothario. Everything is in place. There is no turning back now. Tonight, she will marry Don Lothario, the most wanted bachelor in Pleasantview.

Cassandra knew all about Don's dodgy past and even heard the stories about him and her mother, Bella. When she thought about the nasty things some people told her about Don, her stomach would turn. But when she looked in his dreamy eyes, she felt like the most attractive woman in this world, and she forgot about all the bad things.

Don never thought he would commit to one woman in his lifetime. Marriage just wasn't his thing. But when Cassandra came along, he just couldn't say no. A big heap of simoleans is the most powerful aphrodisiac in this world, and Don knew that by marrying a Goth there would always be plenty to go around. And something about Cassandra reminded Don of her mother. How he missed Bella since her disappearance so many years ago. In the silver moonlight Cassandra and Don sealed their marriage with a passionate kiss.

Mortimer never understood what his daughter sees in a man like Don Lothario. He was sure that Don was eventually going to break her heart. Mortimer and Cassandra had numerous discussions, but his little Cassie is a stubborn girl, and he knows her well enough that nothing in the world is going to change her mind right now. She would have to find out the hard way.

The much anticipated wedding night followed. Cassandra knew deep in her heart that she was finally going to get what she had wanted for so long, a family of her own.

Even though he didn't approve of Cassandra's choice in partner, Mortimer couldn't help but feel his old heart yearning during the romantic moonlight ceremony. Bella had disappeared such a long time ago. Could he be ready for the next step in his relationship with Dina? Without any hesitation Mortimer whipped out the big diamond ring he had been carrying in his pocket for some time now. Dina couldn't be more exited and jumps straight into his arms.

Dina always dreamed of the good life. A life were she didn't have to worry about when her next paycheck would come in. And now this dream was within her reach. Sure, Mortimer was an old geezer and she hardly felt any physical attraction to him, but he came with a motherlode of simoleans. And she had married for money before, it wasn't like it was that difficult. And of course there was Don. No one could fool her into believing that he had married Cassandra out of love.

Dina takes another glance at her reflection in the mirror and knows that no man of flesh and blood could ever refuse a package like this. She had her eye on Mortimer since the day she found out he was the richest man ever. She knew that, even though he was married to her husband's sister, Bella, it would only be a matter of time before all those simoleans would be hers. After Bella's "mysterious" disappearance and her husband's "untimely" death, Dina and her sister moved to Pleasantview to be closer to Mortimer and support him in these difficult times. Sure enough Mortimer fell for Dina's charms.

Dina didn't want to wait too long with the wedding. She knew Mortimer wasn't getting any younger and she wanted to be mrs. Goth before it would be too late. Soon after his proposal Dina and Mortimer had a beautiful autumn wedding.

Even though this was her second wedding, Dina insisted on a marriage with the works. She had her eyes set on a gorgeous designer wedding dress. And Mortimer indulged her. He knows the days he has left were quickly running out and he wants to enjoy each and every one as much as possible.

Cassandra didn't particularly like Dina because she suspected she was more interested in Mortimer's simoleans than anything else. But she knows her father has been very lonely and he was so happy now. She wasn't going to rain on his parade. With a somewhat forced smile Cassandra toasts on the newlyweds, but she doesn't drink any champagne herself. She has been gaining weight lately and is a bit crabby now and then. She suspected something, but wasn't sure until the test she took early this morning. She couldn't wait until after the wedding, so she would have the chance to tell Don the good news.

But Don secretly was having a little party of his own in the front yard. After a promising start, marriage life turned out to be harder than expected. Because of the connections and funds of the Goth family, his career in the hospital was finally taking off. After working long days in Pleasantview Central Hospital, he longed to come home to his loving wife. But lately Cassie was so cranky lately. When he got home she would be complaining, whining and crying. He was starving for some positive attention. So when Dina's sister, Nina, makes a move on him during the wedding cake ceremony, he gladly accepts the invitation.

Will Don get away with his romancing ways or will it all end in tears? Does Mortimer live long enough to enjoy his marriage with beautiful black widow Dina? And will Cassandra and Alexander learn to get along with their new stepmother?

CHAPTER 2 --- Broken Promises ---

While Dina and Mortimer’s wedding is still in progress, Don and Nina decide they need a little more privacy. Looking for a place to continue their frolicking, they end up in Mortimer’s bedroom. All giddy Dina and Don start taking of each others clothes.

Of course it all turns sour. It isn’t even Cassandra who discovers Don cheating first. Dina, one of Don’s old flames, was looking for a place to touch up her lipstick and stumbles upon the cheating couple.

“Aaaargh, how could you! You stupid cheating good for nothing! You’ll ruin everything!”

Alarmed by the ruckus, Cassandra decides to go and see if her new stepmother is alright. And then she sees them. Don, naked, pushed in a corner by a screaming Dina. And then Nina also naked, scrambling around for her clothing. Tears well up in her eyes. Her dreams all shattered.

Cassandra quickly realizes that Don wasn’t going to be the man she wanted to spend her life with. She couldn’t and wouldn’t close her eyes to a cheating husband.

“OUT, Don, OUT! I want you out of this house and out of my life!”

Mortimer never felt anything but contempt for his son-in-law. He knew about the rumors, he knew what people said about Don and Bella. Not to mention the "friendship" Don had with Mortimer's new wife Dina.

"I will die a happy man, if I never have to see your cheating face ever again, Don Lothario!"

But Don doesn't like to be bullied. He doesn’t take crap from anyone and certainly not from Mortimer Goth.

"Don't push my buttons old man!" "Bella told me everything, so you'd better watch your words".

That same night Cassandra leaves the Goth Mansion too. The house is filled with too many bad memories. She knows her dad will only have eyes for the needs of his new wife. And Dina certainly did not think much of Cassandra. Never in her dreams did she think she would end up with a wicked stepmother. And certainly not one only a few years older than herself. She would raise her child in a warm and loving environment without the dark shadows of the past and the future. And so Cassandra leaves the house she grew up in and has to find her own place in Pleasantview.

Somewhere else in Pleasantview another tragedy unfolds itself.

Don Lothario isn’t the only romancer in Pleasantview. Unknown to most of the people in Pleasantview, Mary-Sue and Daniel Pleasant’s marriage is far from ideal. While his wife is at work, the neglected Daniel looks for attention from lovely maid, Kaylynn Langerak.

Daniel has been pursuing Kaylynn for some time now and temptation is just too strong to resist. After a few charming words, some romantic kisses and several suggestions, Kaylynn doesn’t mind an invitation to the master bedroom.

Unexpectedly, Mary-Sue comes home early from work. After only one bad decision, here employer decides to fire her. Her work was her life. She worked long hours to get the promotion she had set her eyes on. All for nothing. She knew she had neglected her family lately, which makes her feel even worse. She really needs Daniel’s support at this moment.

But when Mary-Sue walks into their bedroom she can’t believe her eyes. HER HUSBAND! IN BED! WITH THEIR MAID! This is the bloody limit for Mary-Sue and she makes him pack his stuff and leave the house immediately.

"What the plumbbob is going on here! I turn my back on you for one minute and you're all over the maid! I don't want to hear any of your usual crappy excuses, Daniel. Pack your stuff NOW!"

This setback proved too much for Mary-Sue. The poor woman collapses in the front yard while throwing a tantrum at the maid.

Will Cassandra make it on her own, raising a little one all by herself? Can Mary-Sue recover from two personal disasters, losing her job and her husband? And how will the twins react?

--- CHAPTER 3 --- A Second Chance

Cassandra had recently started a job in science. It didn't pay much but she could afford a small but convenient new home. She told Don about her pregnancy so he could decide for himself if he wanted to play a role in their child’s life. She really never wanted to have to deal with Don again, but for the child’s sake she was willing to make an effort. Initially, Don acted very interested but in the end he never made the made any type of commitment. She knew she was better off without any involvement of Don, but still it hurt when she realized she would have to raise this child all on her own.

Exactly nine months after Cassandra's wedding night, her little one decided it was time to greet the world. It turned out a lovely little girl. She had soft dark tanned skin and beautiful warm brown eyes just like Cassandra. Immediately she fell in love with her little baby girl. When she talked to Delilah she chatted enthusiastically in the usual high pitched voice adults use for little ones.

“You are a precious little one, aren’t  you, yes, aren’t you a little sweetie, my little Pookiewookie”

After a few days Cassandra finally decided to name her little girl Delilah, after a legendary temptress and the grandmother of a friend that recently had became more important in her life.

It wasn’t easy for Cassandra, raising a little one and trying to pursue her career in science. But it turned out that she wasn’t on her own after all. Right after she gave birth to Delilah, she got a visit from Darren Dreamer. She had met him on a few occasions before and had felt a strong attraction to this charming and very artistic man. But because she was engaged with Don Lothario at the time, she had kept her distance.

But now there really didn’t have to be any reservations. Cassandra was very careful, she didn’t want to make the same mistakes she made with Don. Besides, her life was just fine now, without the help of any man. But Darren had such a warm personality and his smile just made her feel all fuzzy inside.
It didn’t take long before Cassandra realized Darren was completely different from Don. Deep inside her heart she felt this was him, this was mister right. So Cassandra decided to invite Darren for a nice dinner with macaroni and cheese. She wasn't a great cook, but she knew she could make a pretty decent macaroni and cheese. And one of the few useful things she learned from her mother was that a man's love goes through his stomach. After dinner, she carefully made her move and told Darren that she felt that maybe they could be more than just good friends.

Darren couldn't believe his ears when he heard Cassandra's words. His heart started beating twice the usual rate and his mouth went so dry he couldn't speak. Cassandra feared that she might have made a mistake, but then Darren finally was able to say what he always had wanted say since the day he first met her.  
"Cassandra, you don't know how long I have waited for those words. I wanted to give you time to get over Don. But really darling, I would want nothing more than to have you with me for the rest of my life"

Cassandra made the right choice this time. Darren turned out to be a wonderful father for Delilah. When Delilah became a little bit older and Dirk was getting ready for college, they even started thinking about expanding their little family. Cassandra had finally found what she had been looking for, a family of her own.

Back at Goth Manor, Cassandra's father Mortimer, was making the best of his own second chance.

Mortimer really enjoyed family dinners with his new wife. He felt sad that his daughter decided to move out, but he respected her wish. Recently, his new wife had given some hints about wanting a baby too. He really didn't feel the need for another child. He was getting older and he already had two wonderful children. But Dina knew that having a child with Mortimer would be her best insurance for a big portion of the inheritance. So she pushed and pushed further until in the end he couldn't do anything else but give in.

After several tries for a baby, Dina finally got her wish. Even though Mortimer still had his doubts about being a father at his age, he was thrilled when Dina turned out to be pregnant. He knew he wasn't the best husband and parent he could have been in his marriage with Bella. His job always came first for a very long time. But now he had earned his dues and had a comfortable pension. This would be his second chance and he would grab it with both hands.

Alexander didn't understand what his father saw in Dina. Ever since she got into their lives, things had gotten worse not better. First his mother, Bella, disappeared and then his sister  left her husband and their family home. If this was true love, then he wouldn't have any of it. He couldn't wait until college. Finally he could start his dream and to become a man of science. He would show them all what he would be capable of.

Will Mortimer get a second chance with a new family or is he just messing up the one he already has? Can Cassandra hang on to her happiness or will her past come back with a vengeance. And can Alexander keep his sanity at Sim State University?

I'm back! Chapter 4 is a rather small update and was at first part of chapter 3, but I decided for two separate chapters to add a bit more tension ;)

--- CHAPTER 4 --- Intermezzo

Mortimer loved to play the piano. It made him feel so peaceful. But not this morning! During an early morning piano concerto for his pregnant wife, Dina gave an awful shriek.

“ IEEEAAAAH! This hurts like hell Mortimer! Get it out, get it out!”

Dina never felt such pain in her life before. Of course she never thought it would be easy to push something the size of a large watermelon through a hole the size of a small orange, but this was ridiculous. There was a good reason for the incredible pain Dina was in, as a total surprise to everyone she gave birth to not one, but two little babies!

Dina was very pleased with herself. Two babies! This meant more inheritance for her and her offspring. Dina always felt Bella’s shadow over her marriage with Mortimer. Luckily, she convinced Mortimer to get rid of the portrait in the master bedroom. But still Dina could feel Bella’s presence in Goth Mansion. She swore she could hear Bella’s voice sometimes and even thought she saw some pieces of furniture moving late at night. Eventually the newlyweds moved into another home. Mortimer did everything to please his new wife even if it meant he had to leave the home he raised his children with Bella in.

Now that Dina had given birth to two of Mortimer's children, baby girl Victoria and baby boy Rex, she knew she was finally on equal footing with Bella. She knew that all of Mortimer’s simoleans were within her grasp. Victory was very, very close.  Cassandra already had chosen her own path and Alexander would be leaving for college this summer. Bella had lost and Dina would win. Soon it would all be hers.

But soon might come sooner than expected. Mortimer had just put his two brand new babies into their cribs when tragedy struck. the Grim Reaper showed up to collect Mortimer’s soul.

“Your time has come Mortimer Goth!” The Grim Reaper spoke with a deep and commanding voice.

Mortimer couldn’t believe his eyes. “No, no, you must be wrong. It can’t be my time yet. I just became a father! Just look at these adorable babies. I can’t leave them now”

“I don’t make mistakes Mr. Goth. You have lived your live far into old age and you will come with me NOW.” Even without a face the Grim Reaper could give a stern look.

Mortimer tried to wrestle the Grim Reaper for more time, but it was no use. The Grim Reaper came at the worst of times. Dina was still resting from the long and painful childbirth. Without anyone to plea for him, Mortimer had no choice but to go with the Grim Reaper. Reluctantly Mortimer followed into the darkness.

Back in his old bachelor pad, Dina’s former lover and Mortimers ex son-in-law, Don Lothario, gradually picked up his usual lifestyle again.

Even during his marriage with Cassandra, Don didn't throw away his little black book and now he was single again he could make good use of it. There were plenty of names he could pick from. Hmm, Let’s see, who shall I pick? Melissa, Sandra, Goopy, Selena or….?  After everything that has happened, could she be ready for a date with “ the Don”  again?

Don wasn’t a man that asked too many question about his own actions. If he saw it and he liked it, he went for it! Don’s object of desire didn’t decline the invitation and so Don set up a date at a community lot. While his date was in the clothing booth trying on some clothes, Don followed her in to “check” whether the new outfit was to his liking.

“Oh yeah, I’m so good! Hmmm, is my hair still in place? You never know when you might run into another hottie” After his exciting date Don left for his home feeling very satisfied about his seduction skills.

Will Dina make a good mother, raising twins on her own? Will Alexander and Cassandra be strong enough to battle their stepmother over the inheritance? And who was Don’s secret date?

I'm actually kind of a number nerd so writing a sims 2 story is something completely different for me. Finally, the right side of my brain is being used after several decades of total starvation ;)
I'm also not an English native speaker. So don't be surprised when you see some changes in old chapters. And don't be shy with comments. I can always use a couple of good pointers.

--- CHAPTER 5 --- Nasty Girls

The Pleasant twins, Angela and Lillith, took their parents break up pretty hard. But both expressed their pain in a different way. Even though they have similar looks, the girls’ characters were like day and night.

Lillith became angrier than she already was. How could her father leave her here all alone with these two freaks! Her mother, Mary-Sue, never cared for anything that wasn’t perfect. Lillith was never good enough for here. But high-school popularity queen Angela had always been mommy’s angel.

“Look at her standing there, little miss perfect, all teary eyed! Your such an actress Angela. You never cared about Dad. You’re probably just happy that he’s gone. So now you can go hang out more with DUSTIN!”

With her voice all hoarse from crying, Angela reacted angrily at Lillith's harsh words. “Shut up Lillith, you don’t know what you’re talking about. Leave Dustin out of this, you’re so STUPID!”

“Who are you calling stupid! WHACK!” Lillith smacked her hand straight into Angela’s face.

Lillith’s temper got the best of her again and soon the two siblings were pulling each other's hair and screaming their lungs out. With all the noise the girls were making, it was no surprise that Mary-Sue woke up.

“ENOUGH! Lillith behave yourself! For the love of plumbbob, haven’t I suffered enough yet. If you continue this young lady, you leave me no choice but to send you to Strangetown Millitary School! Far, far away from all your friends. Although I doubt you have any!”

Lillith new better than to tempt her mother in this condition. Mary-Sue was still recovering from a mental breakdown. She stood there silently but Lillith really wanted to scream that she did have a friend. A boyfriend even. But she also didn’t want to risk losing him, not Dirk. So she kept quiet for now. She knew it would only be for a little while. Dirk had told her he was accepted for a scholarship at Sim State University. At that moment she knew she wanted nothing more than to go to college with Dirk. Her parents were rich enough, so if she could just keep her grades at the minimum C level and didn’t push too many of her mother’s buttons, sweet freedom would be within her grasp.

Mary-Sue had a hard time recovering from her mental break down. She was very tense and yelled at everybody around her for no good reason. She needed to stay calm, so she really couldn’t deal with two troubled teenage girls that had it in for each other. In the end, she really didn't see any other solution. Mary-Sue desperately needed help from her parents.

Luckily, Herb and Coral Oldie were more than glad to help their daughter through these rough times. Mary-Sue was a bit of a wild child in her own teen years so the Oldies had enough experience. Lillith really seemed to react well another father figure in her life. Herb and Lillith soon became the best of friends and she actually managed to stay out of trouble. For the time being the girls even stopped fighting. The girls still didn't like each other. But with the promise that she would tutor Lillith, Lillith kept Angela’s nightly escapades with Dustin a secret.

In a different part of the neighborhood Nina Caliente was really enjoying herself. She finally had the house to herself now Dina was married to Mortimer.

“Oh yeah, I’m so hot! Watch out Pleasantview, Nina is going to party tonight!” As usual, Nina was admiring herself in the mirror before going out. Nina loved being single and partying from dusk till dawn. Marying some old geezer for money was not Nina’s type of thing. Nina lived her life to the max with her motto “Eat it while it’s still hot!” firmly in mind. So every night Nina shows off her very slim and firm body with skintight clothing and exotic dance moves in many of the Pleasantview Downtown clubs.

When she got tired of dancing, she would go for the main course of the evening. “Oh yeah, baby, I feel like hunting for snake tonight!”

And when she got tired of schmoozing with the guys, she would play a nasty game of poker with the girls and of course catch up with the latest Pleasantview gossip.

The Diva couldn’t wait to ask Nina about her latest adventure. “So have you caught Don Lothario yet? I heard you were the reason that Cassie threw him out. He’s a pretty good catch, being an up and coming gynecologist and all”

Nina answered with the usual smirk on her face when someone asked if she would commit herself to one man. “Hah, I’ve got him wrapped around my little finger. They always come back for more. But hey, you know me, I'm like a wild horse that likes to run free. I haven’t met a man yet that can tame me!”

She knew Nina better than that but the Diva had a bad hand of cards and tried to throw Nina of her balance. “Common don’t you dream about a nice big wedding, with a huge cake and a pretty white dress? Her friend Andrea couldn’t help but blurt it out. “Yeah and start a family of your own, with cute little girls called Tina, Gina and Mina!”

Now all the girls were laughing. But Nina had too much poker experience to let her guard down. “Hah, me having kids, that nightmare has as much chance of happening as you girls winning this game from me! Now show me the money!”

Nina did win the poker game that night, but little did she know that her worst fear was about to come true as well. “Hmmm, that partying sure makes me hungry!”

Lucy the maid couldn’t help but notice that Nina didn’t fit in her usual outfit anymore. “Hey Nina, are you okay. You seem to be hungry all the time lately. You don’t have a little bun in the oven, now do you?” Nina almost choked to death after hearing Lucy’s remarks. She had been gaining a lot of weight lately. And if she was right, she knew only one man could be the father.

After a couple of weeks it became painfully obvious. With hormones raging through her body, Nina was hungry, tired and needed to go to bathroom all the time. And loosing the lean mean firm body she was always so proud of, made her very, very, very pissed off. She wanted revenge and she wanted it now. So she decided she would call one of her connections back in good old Strangetown.

“No, nothing as drastic as last time. He has to come back to Pleasantview. I want him to suffer the same humiliation as I have, waggling around with a big bloated tummy!”

Will Lillith and Angela make it through college with their high-school sweetheart's? Is Mary-Sue able to forget the past and forgive Daniel for what he has done? Can Nina settle down and raise a little family of her own without the social helper showing up? And who is she getting back at?

thanks so much for your kind remarks. It really helps me sticking with this story. So, here's another update! This chapter and the next chapter will still use some of my older pics, but the following chapters will use big and shiny ones!


--- CHAPTER 6 --- Intergalactic Love

Don’s divorce to Cassandra didn’t hurt his career at the hospital. He already  used the Goth Family connections for what they were worth before the divorce and reached a comfortable new starting position in the Pleasantview Medical community. It did mean however, that Don had to work even harder than before in order to get that next new shiny promotion.

“Breath, frammit, breath!” Every spare time Don could find between work and dating, he used to increase his mechanical skills with the dummy and  his logical skills with the telescope. Don knew that the next promotion was within his grasp.

“Why am I staring through a telescope? I could be having another hot date by now. The things I do for my job!” Don wasn’t a big fan of using the telescope. According to Don, the nighttime, was the perfect time for some more social activities. Like lounging in the hot tub with some beautiful girls, sipping champagne. But while Don was letting his mind wander, he wasn’t paying any attention to his surroundings and  a strange light was slowly singling him out.

Suddenly, Don felt a change in gravitational pull. “I knew I should have eaten something, I’m feeling so light headed. I better go and stuff my face”  Don tried to break free from the telescope and head straight to the fridge for a late night snack. But he couldn’t. His feet were being pulled up into the air and he had to hang on to the telescope with all his strength.

“What the… Oh no, could Nina be up to something again? This can’t be happening, I’m too young and pretty to be taken away. Noooooooooo!”

An entire day and night passed before Don was returned to Pleasantview. Early in the morning the alien ship hovered in front of his bachelor pad and with a big thrust he was thrown out. Don felt a strange mixture of relieve and the bitter feeling of being used.

“Frammit, my butt hurts. Must have landed pretty hard on it! Don barely remembered anything of his strange encounter, but he did feel a little strange. Afraid that he might have caught some kind of extraterrestrial flu, Don decided it was best to take a little sick leave.

First, Don just felt very, very tired. Then after a little while, he had trouble keeping his food in and he got terrible mood swings. When after a little while, his super tight abs changed into a little belly, he knew he was in big trouble.

“Oh my plumbbob!  What am I going to do. This will ruin my reputation! And I can’t raise a little baby, I don’t have the time. What about my career, and even worse what about my hot dates!”

Don knew he would have to come up with some kind of solution. “I need a nanny. Not just any old crappy nanny, I need someone who can keep her mouth shut. My reputation is too important. Hmm, I need someone desperate, someone with excellent mothering skills, someone I can claim is the actual mother of this child. Yes, I need someone pregnant and very, very broke!”

“Hello? Who is this? What? Your making me an offer I can’t refuse? You need me to do what? Brandi couldn’t believe her ears when she was called by Don Lothario, the most notorious womanizer of Pleasantview. She wasn’t surprised that somehow he got stuck with a kid. It was just a matter of time before one of his girlfriends would make him responsible for his “mistakes”. But she just couldn’t believe that he wanted her to raise the little one.

Brandi was still finding it very hard to believe what Don was offering her. “So, if I understand correctly, you want me to raise your child and pretend I had twins? And in exchange you will give me, my two sons and my unborn child a place in your home and pay for all the expenses I make for raising my kids properly? You’ll pay for all college expenses? Well, I need some time to think about this. This is a big decision. Yes, I know. You already told me you’ll pay all our expenses. I’ll call you back when I’ve made a decision. Yes, very soon.”

Is Brandi desperate enough to accept Don’s offer? Can Don become a perfect father or will he just fall back into his old habits? And how will Don’s many girlfriends react to a woman moving into his bachelor pad?

--- CHAPTER 7 --- Double Trouble

Back in his bachelor pad, Don was preparing himself for the difficult task of giving birth. A miracle he never imagined nor hoped he would ever experience.

“Ooooh, it’s coming out. Oh my plumbbob, where is it coming out!” Giving birth was the most painful event Don had ever experienced in his life. He pushed and pushed, but there just seemed no end to the terrible pain. Don couldn’t believe his eyes when it was over. Two babies! Two little golden green babies!

Don took another good look at the children he had just given birth to. He had to admit they were awfully cute, despite their strange skin color. He couldn’t help but feel proud when he looked into their big shiny black eyes. “Oh yes, daddy produced some pretty babies, didn’t he!”

Don decided to never ever let anyone know about his little abduction incident. He would just tell everybody these kids were Brandi’s and he was so kind as to offer her and her family a home in these rough times. And Brandi, well he would just stick by his story that he knocked up some woman and she decided to leave the kids on his doorstep. And if he was wrong and Brandi wouldn’t show up, then he would claim he adopted them from some far away country. It was the latest trend amongst the stars so that story shouldn’t be that incredible too.

Brandi decided to accept Don’s offer just in time. Don was having a pretty hard time taking care of his newborns and getting enough sleep. Brandi and her two sons moved in less than two weeks after Don had given birth. But by then Don already nearly collapsed of exhaustion. Brandi wasn’t moving in with Don out of the kindness of her heart. Brandi’s son Beau had recently grown into a child and her son Dustin had his eyes set on Sim State University ever since his girlfriend Angela talked about going there. Brandi wanted to give her children the best and that took a lot of simoleans. Simoleans she didn’t have, but Don, he was loaded.

When Brandi first saw the twins she protested a bit. “Two babies, I thought you said I had to take care of one baby. And what about their skin? It looks so strange, are you sure they are healthy?” Don had to use all of his schmoozing skills to convince Brandi to stay. “Actually, it’s a hereditary skin disorder. You know, like Albino’s and Michael Jackson. Yeah, and it’s called, uhm, Melanin Chlorosis. Yes, they’ve got Melanin Chlorosis! From their mother’s side of course and it’s extremely rare. But they don’t need any special medication or stuff. They’re perfectly healthy, just look at them smile. And their mother didn’t tell me she gave birth to twins either. But I just couldn’t send them away, now could I? Just look at their cute little faces. I decided to call them Rufus and Rayne, what do you think of that?” Don knew exactly how to trigger Brandi’s mother instinct and in the end she reluctantly gave in.

After a couple of days the Broke family was completely settled in. And Brandi hated to admit it but she actually enjoyed herself looking after Don’s strange newborn sons. They were just so cute. Brandi just finished feeding the twins when felt a sharp pain in her stomach. Her baby wanted out and wanted out NOW! But no one was  answering Brandi’s cries for help.

Dustin and Beau had no trouble adjusting to their new surroundings. Don had bought the latest gaming equipment to make sure the boys would feel right at home. While Brandi was giving birth, her kids were too busy fighting off alien invaders to even notice their mother’s screams.

And where was Don? Well, now his alien offspring was in Brandi’s care, he had his hands free for more important “business”. Yes, Don was back to his usual womanizing ways. When Don found out Dina had become a widow, he knew there was a way back into the Goth family. This could be his ultimate revenge on Mortimer. He knew he had to wait a while to make sure no one would think of Dina as anything less than a grieving widow. And of course he wouldn’t have made the best impression with his growing abdomen.

But the right opportunity arrived very quickly for Don after Brandi moved in. Dina didn’t like it one bit that a woman had moved into Don’s home. So she decided it was time to take action and Dina invited Don to Victoria and Rex’s birthday. Don was sure his flirtations wouldn’t be refused when he found Dina dressed in a very skimpy outfit.

Pretty soon, Don didn’t stop over at his bachelor pad anymore but went straight over to Dina’s after work. He had found out that while he was having birthday cake at Dina’s house, Brandi had given birth to twins as well. Four screaming, hungry and stinky babies in the house were just too much for Don. He much rather spend his time with the sophisticated and glamorous Dina Goth. At least her kids were already potty trained.

“Mortimer, eat your heart out. You’re gone and I’m here in your house with your beautiful grieving widow!” Don could hardly suppress a little chuckle. After a little rough patch, things were looking pretty good for him now.

I'm using a mod for the alien skin by the way. I'm using summersong86 alien skin as default: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=201778. It's not a very dominant green, but still very exotic. Because the pollination technician Maxis created is so ugly, I also use a mod for that as well: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=71852.

I know!I love those skins and cheats they make sim birth more better to look at because the old one makes them look somewhat strange and unwanted until I found that skin I made sure my sims never gave birth to alien sims

^Yeah I agree that Don should get his just desserts. especally since he's left Brandi with two sets of twins to look after!.

Nina Caliente’s worst fear had come true. After several months of enjoying her freedom she didn’t have the house to herself any more. Little Brutus Caliente, Nina and Don’s son, had become the latest addition to the Caliente family.

Becoming a mother didn’t change Nina’s temper. Of course she was a loving mother to her son Brutus, feeding him and cuddling him. But inside her heart was burning for revenge. That no good womanizer Don Lothario had escaped the humiliation she so carefully had planned for him. He dumped his kids on good old Brandi Broke in exchange for simoleans and now he was after her sister Dina and her big fat inheritance. She couldn’t let Don get away with that.

“It’s alright darling, mommy will make daddy pay for what he has done”

With the alien abduction miserably failing in its desired effect, drastic measures were necessary. Nina knew she had other connections in Strangetown that could be useful in this kind situation. She made a couple of phone calls and after a few days, the delivery service brought Nina a very special package. With compliments from miss Olive Specter.
Nina knew she was playing with fire, Olive had warned her about the possible side effects, but Nina didn’t feel like she had any choice. Don had to be stopped! Slowly but determined, Nina reached for the phone part that came with the communication device. “Hello?”

“Oooh, gads, the smell. The smell, it’s just terrible!” The dirty deed had been done. Mortimer was back and he was alive. Well kind of alive anyway. Being a single mother, Nina didn’t have the kind of funds that were necessary for a descent bribe. Mortimer came back as a stumbling heap of decaying flesh, but that was all that Nina needed for her plan.
 
Nina didn’t plan on having Mortimer in her home for very long. “Now listen very carefully Morty, I will say this only once. Go home! Your beloved wife Dina needs you. Stop her from marrying that creep Don Lothario. You know the guy that broke your daughter Cassie’s heart.”

Zombie Mortimer gave a deep and heavy groan. ROAAAAHAAWAA, or something similar. The words echoed through his rotting brain. DINA,CASSIE, DON! Although Mortimer wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed in his current condition, Nina’s message was loud and clear. Determined to save his beloved wife Dina,  Mortimer stepped into Nina’s car so she could drop him of at Dina’s home.

Back in the Goth residence, Don and Dina were making preparations for a wonderful family Christmas celebration.

Dina had splurged on beautiful Christmas decorations and expensive gifts for the twins and Don. She wanted tonight to be magical, because she was sure this was going to be the night that Don would propose.

Don  behaved like a perfect gentleman. He knew what a big catch rich widow Nina was, so he thought very carefully of every word he said. He didn’t want to mess things up like last time with Cassie. “My precious Dina, life couldn’t be more perfect. You, these adorable kids and a wonderful home, what more could a man want?”

“Oh Don, having you here makes me realize how lonely I’ve been.” “TRRRRRRRING, TRRRRRRRING!”  Don and Dina’s exchange of flirtations was rudely interupted by the sharp ring of the doorbell. In the presumption it was the delivery boy with the Christmas Turkey diner she pre-ordered from the Golden Walnut, Dina handed little Rex over to Don. “Let me get that sweety, please look after my little darlings. I’ll be right back”

“Oh my plumbbob!” Dina’s shock was enormous when she saw it wasn’t the delivery guy at the door but her own ghost of Christmas past. “Mortimer! What? How? Why?” Dina was as much appalled by the sight of zombie Morty as she was puzzled by his unexpected return.

Mortimer was shocked by his widow’s reaction. He had come here to save her from that afwul Don Lothario and now she didn’t even seem pleased to see him.  In a desperate attempt for her affection, Mortimer fell to his knees and started crying. “Dina, need you! Don’t leave me!” Afraid that the noise would alert Don or someone else for that matter, she quickly comforted the sobbing zombie and send him to one of the bedrooms to wait for her. All the while Dina’s mind was working overtime. “I can’t keep Don and Mortimer under the same roof. It would be war if either one found the other. And I can’t send Mortimer away. If anyone finds him I can kiss my inherited simoleans goodbye. Frammit! It’s such a shame but Don has to go.”

Dina tried to let Don down easy. But she could clearly see she broke his heart. "I'm so sorry Don. Really, it wasn't you, it's me. I'm just not ready to commit myself to a man again. I'm still grieving over Mortimer and I don't know when or if I'll be able to open my heart once again."

Don had never been so angry in his life before. This was an outrage. No woman ever gave Don Lothario the cold shower, well not until he got caught cheating on them anyway. He just couldn’t understand it. He had been so careful, he made all the right moves with Dina. He was going to propose to her tonight, right after desert. Don had even bought a stunning diamond ring for the occasion. “Ungrateful woman!”

Can Dina keep zombie Mortimer a secret? Is Don's broken heart enough revenge for Nina or does she want more? Will Brandi accept Don's apologies and let him back into his own home?

Thanks for all the positive feedback! I really appreciate it. Hopefully I will be able to update this weekend with a brand new chapter. Before you will all find out about what happened to Don and the others, the next chapters will focus on Sim State University. Pleasantview's teens will receive some interesting lessons as young adults. Lillith and Angela are back!

I use @stefan's as the default skin tones for my regular sims, Enayla's as the default skins for my special sims (vampires, zombies and plantsims) and summersong86's as default skin for my alien sims. I like my sims a bit shiny, they're my pixelated barbie dolls!

Almost forgot! But sweet you posted your 100th in my story thread Pandora Moon. That makes me smile ;)

--- CHAPTER 9 --- College Drama ~ First Act

Sim State University is known as the best University in SimNation and is the first choice of higher education for most of the Pleasantview teens.

Lillith was able to keep a steady C grade thanks to Angela’s tutoring. But this didn’t mean they had actually learned how to get along. Angela’s tutoring was to make sure Lillith would keep her mouth shut about her nightly visits to Dustin Broke. Her sister had resorted to black mail and she resented Lillith for it. Lillith’s views of Angela  hadn’t changed either. She still felt that Angela was a shallow and egotistical diva wannabe. All she ever cared about was herself.  So even though they both decided to go to Sim State University both girls made very sure they would get into different dorms. Lillith ended up in the Wysteria Hall Dormitory together with Dirk Dreamer and Alexander Goth. While Angela stayed in the Birch Manor Dormitory together with Dustin Broke.

Usually, when the girls accidently ran into each other at community outings, they would stick to angry glances at each other. And sometimes would even a exchange little insults, like wicked witch and drama queen. But not this time. For some reason seeing Lillith this time made Angela decided she needed to put her sister in her place and play a little rough.

Viciously Angela lashed out at Lillith. “Why do you dress like such a freak! It’s not a crime to wear some color you know. Your such a drama queen. Don’t deny you grew up in a warm and loving home.  It’s not our fault you don’t have any personality!” Lillith was hurt by Angela’s nasty remarks. Warm and loving home. Yeah, they were warm and loving to little miss perfect Angela alright. But Lillith never felt anything but a big disappointment. “You’re not the one to talk about fashion sense Angela!” Unable to hold her tears back, Lillith hurried to another part of Sim State University Community Center.

Lillith stumbled into the bar section and there she saw an interesting diversion, Alexander Goth. Lillith and Dirk had grown apart ever since she grew up into a young adult. Her interests had changed. She no longer craved to be acknowledged by other people, instead she enjoyed expanding her knowledge. After  she decided to major in science, she became study buddy to Alexander who chose the same major. The last couple of months they had become closer and closer.

Alexander noticed that something was wrong with Lillith. “Are you okay? You know a beautiful girl like you shouldn’t frown so much.” Alexander gently stroke Lillith's cheek. It made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Of course Angela walked in at exactly the wrong time.

Pleased with the new ammunition her sister had provided, Angela lashed out again. “Gads, I should have known you would pull a stunt like this. How can you go behind Dirk’s back and flirt with every guy you can get your hands on? That’s just so low Lillith, even for someone like you.”

It wasn’t long before Dirk found out something was going on and his girlfriend Lillith was somehow involved. When he went to see what was going on, Angela took her chance and immediately started telling her side of the story. “Oh, Dirk, I’m so sorry that you have to find out like this and that I have to be the one to break this sad news to you. But I can’t just sit back and not do anything when I see that one of friends is being cheated on. You know our family past don’t you? Well, it seems that Lillith inherited more than our fathers red hair. She cheated on you Dirk!”

Dirk knew he and Lillith were not as much in love anymore as when they were still teens. Angela’s words  were enough for him to ask some nasty questions. “How can you do this to me! I don’t deserve this, I always was kind and loving to you. I helped you go through the rough period after your dad left your family. And this is how you repay me? By cheating?”

By now Lillith had been pushed around enough. She wasn’t going to apologize and she definitely wasn’t going to hold back anymore. “How could I do this to YOU! Come on Dirk. I wasn’t the only one that decided to let this relationship die a silent death. The fact that you chose Angela’s side on this one says it all. And did you really think I don’t know about you and Katerina Pederson? I’m not a fool Dirk.”

Dirk knew Lillith was right. He had let her down. Ever since he met Katerina, he knew his relationship with Lillith had been only puppy love. He had been talking with Katerina before the incident and not with Lillith. He had let this happen.

Silently, both ex-lovers went their own way. Lillith left for the bathroom to hide her tears, while Dirk left together with Katerina. Everyone around them had just stood there, stunned by the drama that had happened right before their eyes.

Will Lillith be able to forgive Angela for what she has done? Can Alexander find the courage to declare his love for Lillith? And why is Angela picking fights?

I'm really enjoying your story, Brittybe.  I love the look you gave all characters - you spruced them up nicely without losing too much of their original look.  I also like how each sim's personality affects their own life and the lives of others:  revenge, lust, pity, greed, love.  It's all there.  Brandi Broke was always one of my favorite Pleasantview inhabitants, and she's so beautiful now.  Poor thing is going on a long rough ride, eh?  I look forward to reading more of this story.  And good luck in the contests you entered, too!

--- CHAPTER 10 --- College Drama ~ Second Act

Back in Birch Manor Dormitory, Angela was banging her frustrations away on the drum kit located on the roof of the building.

When she finished her session, Angela was extremely hungry from all the exercise. She decided to get some pancakes in the kitchen. Right after she sat down, the last person she wanted to see joined her at the table. “Hi Angie, how are you doing today?” Dustin was clearly worried about her. He had a big frown on his face while he was looking at her. “Hmmpf, fine” Angela mumbled while stuffing her face with pancakes. She really didn’t want to speak to him about last night. But he clearly did.

“You know Angie, you really are a terrible liar. I heard you play the drums like a madman just a couple of minutes ago. I know you only get like that when something’s eating you. Angela angrily looked up from her plate, he was getting too close. “I really don’t want to talk about it Dustin!” But Dustin wasn’t backing out.

“Angie, if you’re not ok with this situation we can move out you know?”Angela’s face flushed and she answered Dustin in a higher pitch than usual. “I’m ok with this, alright! I don’t have any feelings for you anymore. I told you that already. So you and Kitty can have a frickin great life together, ok?” Angrily Angela ate her last pieces of pancake and then left for her room.

Right after Angela and Dustin went to Sim State University things had changed. When they were still teens, being with Dustin had been such an adrenaline rush for Angela. Dating a boy from the wrong side of town was so unlike how her parents expected Angela to act. It made her feel alive. It made her able to breathe in the straightjacket of being the perfect daughter.

“Hi sweetie, how are you?” Kitty Moniff wrapped her arms tightly around her boyfriend. “Hi there KittyKat! You know I’m always just fine when you’re around, don’t you?” Dustin pressed Kitty close to his body and planted a big wet kiss on her lips. “Angie still has some trouble adjusting. I guess it’s kind of hard to see your ex-boyfriend with another woman."

Angela never thought Dustin would be able to join her in college. But thanks to Don Lothario’s fat wallet he could go to Sim State University as well. Dusting grabbed this opportunity with both hands and turned into an exemplary college boy. To Angela he just seemed so …, so plain now. After only a couple of weeks together in college, Angela decided to end their relationship. Dustin took it hard, but he could see how their relationship had changed, how Angela had changed. But she never expected him to find another girlfriend so soon. It bugged her enormously that she could be replaced so easily.

But things were about to change for Angela. A couple of days after the “incident” with Lillith and Dirk, she caught the eye of a young professor. Angela  knew that dating a professor wasn’t appropriate, but it gave her the same feeling of excitement as when she was still a teen and sneaked out at night to meet Dustin. Like stealing a cookie from the cookie jar and you could be caught any minute. Such an adrenaline rush. And as a bonus she thought he was kind of cute too. She knew lots of the girls were heart farting over professor Spencer Fuchs. So she gladly excepted an invitation to "grab a bite" at Red’s Diner.
 
Spencer never met a girl like Angela before. He watched her eat, no devour, her food with amazement. This girl had such passion for life and yet she seemed so unaware of it. He was intrigued. “You know, experience has shown that food doesn’t move from your plate unless you leave it unattended for say, a couple of months.”

Suddenly aware of her bad table manners, Angela looked up and apologized. “oh I’m sorry. I’m so hungry and this tastes really great. I’m afraid I just forgot how to eat like a normal person.” Professor Spencer Fuchs couldn’t help but give a little mischievous laugh. “I think I understand. A young woman like yourself must lead a very active life.” Much to Spencer’s surprise Angela had to reply things had been slow lately. “Well we have to change all that tonight, now don’t we. Let’s celebrate you ended this semester on the dean’s list Angela!”

Angela never expected they would serve champagne in a place like this. But it turned out Spencer knew exactly what he was doing when he ordered their best champagne. He insisted  on a toast. “To the most beautiful and passionate woman on campus! You will make a plumbbob of a lawyer when you finish here Angela” Spencer sure knew how to make a girl feel special. “Yeah, to me!” And Angela loved every minute of it.

Angela wanted this night to last forever. She felt all lightheaded and bubbly from drinking so much champagne. Like she didn’t have a care in the world. Spencer had a bit too much to drink himself as well. He wanted to hold this ferocious redhead forever. Spencer wrapped his strong and warm arms around her and started dancing to the jukebox music. Angela never cared that much for golden oldies, but tonight it seemed like the most magical music ever. As she hoped, the night ended with a long and deep kiss. Such sweet forbidden fruit.

Can Angela keep her relationship with professor Spencer Fuchs a secret? Are Spencer's motives as pure as they seem? And what has happened to Lillith?

--- CHAPTER 11 --- College Drama~Final Act

Back in Birch Manor dorm, Alexander was comforting Lillith when he found her sobbing in a corner.

“Sweet Lillith, what’s wrong?” Alexander gently touched Lillith’s hand. Red eyed, Lillith looked up at the boy that has brought her so much joy and now so much trouble. “Alexander, I really don’t know how to say this. We only started dating a month ago. And now, …. Alexander, I think I’m pregnant!” Lillith immediately started crying again. Alexander saw the girl he loved in so much mental agony. All he wanted was to make her feel better again. “Sweety, don’t cry. We will make this work.”

Lillith was very surprised when Alexander sugested they would go out to eat. She had been feeling morning seekness all week now, so she really wasn’t feeling in the mood. But Alexander insisted, he bragged he had found the greatest little restaurant. The food indead turned out to be very tasty, but Lillith didn’t think it was that special. That all changed when she saw Alexander put on the biggest grin she ever saw and fidgeted with a little black box in his hands. “Uhm, sweety…. I’ve got something for you.”

Lillith couldn’t believe her eyes when she looked at the black box. It was from SIMphony, Pleasantview’s most posh jeweler and specialized in big diamond engagement rings. Could it be? Was he proposing to her? Lillith gasped for air. “Oh my plumbbob! Are you serious Alexander. Did you get me something shiny?” “Just open the box Lillith, just open the box.” Alexander was still grinning from ear to ear.

When Lillith opened the little black box, she saw the prettiest engagement ring she ever laid her eyes on. The ring itself wasn’t that different from any other engagement ring she ever saw, but it was hers. Given to her by someone prepared to stick by her through the tough times. Finally she had met someone that wouldn’t give up on her when she had messed things up again.

“Are you sure about this Alexander? You know, I don’t plan to repeat my parents mistakes. I need a husband that knows that we are in this together, especially when things are looking down. And there are definitely going to be some hard times Alexander. Raising a little baby is going to be very though. But I need to know you’re going to support me all the time, or else there’s just no point in getting married!”

Lillith was looking very sincere and had a big frown in her forehead. But Alexander could also see the insecurity in her eyes. He had wondered himself if he was doing the right thing. Well for just a second or two, and then it was gone. “Sweet Lillith, I wouldn’t want it any other way. I understand your doubts. These circumstances aren’t the best to build a warm and loving long term relationship, but I want you to know I’m not just doing this to take my responsibility. I’m doing this because I love you and I couldn’t imagine my life without you. I want to be there for you, Lillith, especially during the hard times.”

Lillith accepted Alexander’s proposal with tears in her eyes. Deep in her heart she knew that this relationship would be the one that would last. Alexander signaled the waitress that he wanted to pay, so they could leave and have some time alone with Lillith. Enthusiastically the waitress came to great them. “How wonderful to see two people so much in love! Young lady your definitely making the right choice. Your much better off with someone your own age. That professor Spencer Fuchs has quite the reputation, if you know what I mean. Wink, wink. By the way, I love your knew hair. It looks so much better than that pinkish blond you had a couple of weeks ago. I almost didn’t recognize you!”

Alexander and Lillith stared at each other for a little while. Lillith was afraid to speak. How could this be happening,  she didn’t have a relationship with that professor. What would Alexander be thinking of her right now? Alexander paid the waitress and gave her a large tip. He got up and went straight for his coat. He just stood there looking at Lillith. Staring with his big sweet puppy eyes. Lillith’s eyes were getting all teary. “Sweety, are you going to sit there all day? Come on and put on your coat so we can go home. You didn’t think I thought you were cheating on me, now did you? Pinkish blond hair? That’s Angela alright! Now come on, there’s a phone call I have to make to the dean.” Alexander was grinning from ear to ear once again.

"Hello!" Angela answered the phone in a good mood. She was hitting it of pretty good with her professor and she was expecting to hear his voice when she answered. Her mood quickly changed when it turned out that he had some bad news for her. “My dear Angela. I’m very sorry, but it turns out the dean has had a complaint about me. They are warning me that I will lose my job if I have a relationship with one of the students. I’m so very sorry Angela. I really didn’t want this to end, but I’m afraid we will have to go our separate ways from now on.” Angela’s mouth dropped wide open. “No, this can’t be. We were so careful. No, please don’t leave me, Spencer! And the line went dead.

Angela was extremely angry. How could things be going wrong? A complaint at the dean’s office? Who could have possibly seen her or more important who hated her enough to file a complaint at the dean’s office? “Lillith!” Angela almost growled the name of her twin sister. There was no doubt about it. That little witch must  be behind this. Well, Angela wasn’t about to give into Lillith’s attempt to destroy her relationship with Spencer. If Spencer wasn’t allowed to be with one of the students, then she would no longer be a student. She could achieve her dream of reaching the top in her law career without a degree. Her mother still had a few strings she could pull and get Angela in a nice starting position. Angela’s mind was made up. She would drop out and go back to Pleasantview!

Does Angela’s relationship with professor Fuchs have a chance now she moves back to Pleasantview? Will Mary-Sue greet her daughter with open arms or is Angela now a fallen angel? And can Alexander and Lillith’s relationship last through Lillith’s pregnancy?

YAY!love the update Angella has whats coming to her

wow!  Angela is so bi-polar!  LOL!  Love the Lillith and Alexander Goth union seems right.  For some reason Alexander Goth is totally gay in my game.  I tried to hook him up with all of Pleasantville's honeys and he was just not interested.

Angela is quite a character alright. I saw a movie once about teenagers that were perfect on the outside, the all American ideal of popular quarterback and cheerleader with perfect grades. But to cope with the pressure they had a really kinky double life and eventually one of them ended up dead. Somehow it seemed fitting for Angela. She needs to do something naughty to keep up with the pressure of being perfect. That's how I interpreted the entire Dustin thing anyway.

The professor was her own idea though ;) She started flirting with him autonomously and Dustin had 3 thunderbolts with Kitty, so they kind of fell out of love without any drama. It seemed to fit Angela to start something with a professor so it became part of the story ;)

Alexander is kind of shy in my game, but not gay. I put him in Lillith's dorm without any intentions, but he started stalking her autonomously. Really creepy! He had 2 thunderbolts with her, but Lillith only 1 with him. After I changed her aspiration into knowledge, popularity wasn't really working out for her anyway, they were all over each other. It all seemed like a good idea because Dirk had his own stalker in Katerina. They both had 3 thunderbolts for each other, so they were clearly meant to be together. Dirk did start drama on his own accord after Lillith autonomously gave Alexander a hug. He had already kissed Katerina autonomously, so he really is a hypocrite!

A lot of things that happen in my story are actually things my sims did or wanted to do autonomously. I'm having a lot of fun with my game! Thanks for all the nice comments and I hope you will enjoy my next chapters as well.

I love letting my sims choose for themselves, but I get some very weird combinations that way. Such as, I changed Johnny Smith's aspiration to fortune in SimPE (I'm... not fond of popularity, and it really was NOT working for him in my game) and knocked Nervous Subject to YA since I wanted to send him through university (...what? I love him, and after the loss of Venus when my neighbourhood corrupted I needed to give him more attention :sad3:)... and they hooked up. I swear, I go to get a drink of water and come back to find them autonomously making out in the dorm!

It's working, though. They just got married and have a baby on the way so... I'm really terrible with the pregnancy for all genders hack :lol:

This is a great story, but I think there should be one little improvement: Tell us where you get the custom hair! It's awesome! Brandi's hair, Dina's, Darren's, Lilith's... everybody's. The public is dying to know!

It's so nice to read that people are enjoying the story so much! So here's another update. We're getting closer to the grand finale, but to get there I need to make a jump in time. So currently we remain stuck in college, where Delilah Goth (Cassandra and Don's daughter), will tell us what happened to everybody in her diary. And of course there will be a bit of drama along the way! It will take more than one chapter to tell everything that has happened. If somethings aren't clear and you need extra info. Please let me know and I will work it into the story.

Chapter 12 Delilah’s Diary: Higher Education

September, Dear Diary,

I’m really loving my time at Sim State University so far. It’s really living up to my expectations. It has the best professors and facilities for knowledge seekers like me. To save money I got a room at Birch Manor Dormitory. I share the cafeteria, the bathroom and a community room with other students. But that’s really not a problem because for me. I can always retreat back to my own room when I need some peace and quiet.

And I absolutely adore my room! It has some pretty old fashioned yellow flowered wallpaper and clashing green stained carpeting. But it cleaned up pretty nicely after I added some accessories. Mom gave me some of her old pillows with a flowery print that kind of matched the wallpaper. It really feels like home now. Maybe a little bit too much, because I really haven’t talked to much of the other dormies yet. I’m a bit shy like that. I really should try to start a conversation with one of them when I get the chance. I’ll just put that on my to do list.

Anyway, one of the great features of living in a dorm instead of a Greek house or completely on my own, is the cafeteria. No cooking for me! You’re really dependent on the cooking skills of your cook to get a decent meal, but I think we didn’t do too bad. It’s not a genuine chef but she does make a mean macaroni and cheese. Little sister Darcey would definitely love it. The cook is kind of a funny old lady, who likes to keep her eyes on the students of the dorm. She always looks out of the window when one of the dormies is back late from classes. I think it’s because she never had any kids of her own.

Oh, I almost forgot. I have to write my very first term paper this week, so I better get started pretty soon. Luckily, mom and dad got me a computer for my room so I can use it without any hassle with the other dormies. We only have 1 computer in the community room! I don’t know what they were thinking. A computer is essential for getting proper grades and I really don’t want to argue with people who are busy playing computer games all day!
Anyway, I must stop writing in my diary for a little while and start writing for a grade. I want to be on the Dean’s list!

December, Dear Diary,

I just can’t believe what happened to me today! I’m really getting to know my fellow dormies a lot better lately. But I never expected that I would run into a long lost brother. Well a half brother, but that counts too!

I was playing a good game of chess against Brutus Caliente, Nina’s son. He’s a nice guy but really not a chess mastermind. It took him ages before he made a next move with a chess piece.  It was kind of boring, until he started making really goofy faces. Boy, did he have a hard time against me!

You got to use your brains when you want to defeat me. I have been playing chess since I could sit straight on a chair. I guess I take after my mother and grandpa with that. My mom is extremely smart and she has a reached a top position in science, just like grandpa before her. I never met my grandfather, because he and my mom kind of had a hard time together after she broke up with my biological dad. She just didn’t want to deal with the “I told you so” discussions so she moved out. He died pretty soon after I was born and they never had the opportunity to apologize to each other. It’s really kind of sad.

But anyway, after I slaughtered Brutus with chess, he wasn’t  a bad loser at all. So we started talking about all kinds of stuff like Sim State Uni, our majors, our hobbies and in the end even our families. And that’s when we discovered we are family! It turns out that Brutus’ father is none other than the infamous Don Lothario! I knew that Nina was the cause my mother and my biological father broke up, but I never knew Nina had a kid with him.

He told me all about “the incident”. It turns out Don and Nina didn’t really have a thing together, but dated every now and then for the fun of it. When after a particularly wild date, Nina became pregnant, she was extremely angry. Her pregnancy messed up all the plans she had with her life. Brutus told me she stayed angry with Don for quite a while and always referred to him as “Dirtbag Don” or just “the Dirtbag”. That all changed when she got pregnant again. This time the father was grocery delivery guy Stephan Gothier. But unlike Don, he wasn’t running away from his responsibilities and he actually told Nina he wanted them to become a family. She stubbornly kept pushing him away, but Stephan never gave up on her. In the end she kind of got used to the family idea and they had another child together.

Brutus is so enthusiastic about his family, he even shared pictures. I could see Nina looked very happy with Stephan even though they never got married. I guess that’s just not her thing. Brutus’ eldest half sibling is Cleopatra, but he always just calls her Cleo. She’s a teen now and when I saw her picture, she immediately reminded me of my half sister Darcey. She recently became a teen too and still lives with mom and dad. Darren raised me like his own daughter so I always thought of him as my dad even though he isn’t my biological dad. I showed Brutus a picture of Darcey and he thought Cleo and Darcey could be the best of friends. It turns out both girls have macaroni and cheese as their favorite dish! Brutus’ youngest half sibling is Julius and he’s more of a pancake kind of guy just like Brutus. The little guy looks so adorable!

Things couldn’t be better these days. I made the Dean’s list this semester and my family just expanded with a wonderful new half brother!

Will Delilah be able to make more friends at Sim State University? Can she keep her grades high enough while she's meeting new people? And has Nina really changed her romancing ways?

Chapter 13 Delilah’s Diary: Forever Friends

April, Dear Diary,
I’m really getting to know the other dormies a lot better. I even made a new friend today! His name is Rufus and he’s one of the Broke quadruplets. They were quit the attraction back in Pleasantview. To this day, they are the only quadruplets ever to be born in Pleasantview and as a bonus two of them, Rufus and Rayne, have a very rare genetic disorder giving them big black eyes and a greenish looking skin. The other two, Shane and Troy, are identical twins but look very normal. Rufus and Rayne are both staying in the same dormitory as I am, but Shane and Troy joined a very popular Greek house.

Even though they look kind of strange, Rufus and Rayne are loads of fun! Rayne plays the drums in a college rock band called “A Wormrat’s Revenge”. And boy, does he love to party. Rufus is more the quiet type and loves to watch a good football match, just like me. That’s how we started our first conversation. We were both cheering for the same team and just started blabbering about all kind of stuff.

We really get along great. We think the same about a lot of stuff, like we both love to pillow fight. I think he could be my best friend ever! But there’s no heart farting stuff going on. He’s more like the brother I never had. I think that’s because Rufus was raised by my biological father Don. Brandi would have been in a lot of trouble raising the quadruplets all on her own and for some reason, really out of character, Don offered Brandi a helping hand raising her kids.

There’s been a lot of speculation on that subject in Pleasantview though. It was hard to believe Don would ever do something like that out of the kindness of his heart. Some people thought he was doing it because he would have unlimited access to one of SimNation’s most rare genetic conditions. And because of his ambitions in the medical field, he could gain fame and fortune from this. There are a few cases known in Strangetown, although it is claimed by some this condition is actually of alien origin. But that was never really proven by anyone. Another very popular theory about Don's strange kindheartedness, is that the quadruplets are really his children and Brandi had been cheating on her husband with Don all along. This would definitely put her late husband's mysterious pool accident in a completely different light.

It really is the strangest thing. Whenever you think of someone a lot, you run into them in a unusual place or they give you a phone call unexpectedly. You would never believe it, but last night I actually received a phone call from Don. It turns out that Brandi and Don are getting married! He never had a lot of  contact with me. Sometimes he would remember and send me a card for my birthday and he gave me a phone call when I graduated from high school, but other than that really nothing. So I really was surprised to hear his voice at the other end of the line. But my mouth really fell wide open when he mentioned the word marriage. The rest of the conversation went something like this:

“I know this must sound a bit crazy, Delilah, but now that I’m older I understand what your mother was looking for. I’m really sorry I wasn’t able to be a good father to you. But you and your mother seemed so happy with Darren, I just couldn’t compete with that. But I think I have found my happiness now too. Brandi has stuck with me through some pretty rough times. We raised the quadruplets together. I heard you and Rufus have become pretty good friends, I'm really happy about that. Anyway, we even raised two little ones of our own into beautiful teenagers as well, Donatella and Bianca. What I'm trying to say Delilah, is that it would make me really happy if you would be there when I make my relationship with Brandi formal.”

Of course I couldn’t say no. I’m always a bit weary when Don is involved, but I really don’t want to let Rufus down. He’s been on a cloud ever since he heard the news from Don. He immediately showed me some family pictures of his half sisters, and actually mine as well, and their two dogs. And I can’t deny it, I’m kind of a sucker for happy endings. All though it does make me wonder. Don getting married with Brandi? I mean she still is the looker, but she’s broke as well. I wonder what power she has on him. Some kind of dirty little secret or has he really found love? I’ll probably never find out, so it really is no use to worry about it too much.


July, Dear Diary,
Yeah, I made it on the dean’s list! Again! This is our last semester of our Freshman year and we’re all very happy about our results. To celebrate our accomplishments, our regular group went out for dinner and bowling Downtown last night. I never went bowling in my life before so I was really excited about it.

It turns out Rufus is a real bowling grand master and boy does he like to show it off! Brutus and I were easily impressed, but Rayne had clearly seen it before. I thought the bowling alley looked really nice. I could see why it was so popular. Lots of people were coming for dinner or just a good game of bowling.

After half an hour or so, another group from SimState Uni entered the bowling alley. It was the group of “popular” kids. Rex Goth, his girlfriend Lucy Burb, his sister Victoria and her boyfriend Troy Broke. They are all residents of the most “happening” Greek house of the moment. That’s no surprise to me. They were part of the popular crowd back at Pleasantview High as well. Lucy and Rex were home coming queen and king and sweethearts from the start. They still look so very much in love. Touching and dancing every time they get the chance. Even in a bowling alley! Common get a room people!

I couldn’t say the same for Victoria and Troy though. Troy was Rex’s best friend and somehow they seemed to be together not because they are so much in love, but more like it’s expected of them. Rufus and Victoria already know each other pretty well because Troy’s his brother. I couldn’t help but notice Rufus and Victoria spend all night talking and laughing. Maybe it’s nothing and I’m a bit paranoid, but I think these two really like each other. I really hope Rufus knows what he’s doing.

Oh yeah, out found something else out to. I suck at bowling! Aargh! I think I will have to use all of summer to increase my bowling skills because I really don’t like to be humiliated like this ever again. And I have to get a nice dress as well because Don and Brandi’s wedding is only a couple of months away. My plumbbob, summer has only just begun and I’m already booked with all this stuff I have to do!

Is Don a changed man now he has grown into an elder? Will Rufus make his move on Victoria, one of the most popular girls and his brother's girlfriend? And will Delilah ever meet a guy that's she's not related to and finally start heartfarting?

Thanks everyone! When SimPE has a BV version out, I will try to figure out how to make my in game born sims downloadable. So Rufus and Rayne can't be downloaded just yet, but I've adjusted my c.c. page with the defaults I used to get these two.

Delilah, will definitely find someone special in her life that isn't a half brother! Being the shy girl that she is, it will take her some time. But before she finishes college she will have her first boyfriend ;)

Wow, so many lovely comments! Thank you all so much, that really made my day! I've been kind of busy lately, but I finally managed to finish another update. In this chapter you'll see more of Brandi, Don and the Caliente sisters. After this chapter the story returns to the college kids. Casandra will make an appearance in one of the later updates.

I'll definitely squeeze in a family tree of some kind, maybe in one of the updates or as a special. Don has definitely been around a lot ;) He's the biological father of children with Casandra (Delilah), Pollination technician (Rufus and Rayne), Nina (Brutus) and Brandi (Donatella and Bianca). He adopted Brandi's other kids (Dustin, Beau, Shane and Troy) but he's not their biological father. Because of his reputation he also pretends Rufus and Rayne are Brandi's kids and he adopted them as well, they're his dirty little secret. In the Pleasantview community there are some doubts about who's the father of Brandi's sons Shane and Troy, but they are definitely not Don's.

Anyway, without further delay, here's chapter 14!

--- CHAPTER 14 --- The Green Gift

While the kids in college were finishing their final exams before summer break, Don Lothario finally did the right thing and proposed to the woman that had stuck by him for so many years.

After his painful divorce with Cassandra followed by Dina’s harsh rejection, Don never expected to go on his knees for a woman again. But ever since he became an elder, the word commitment didn’t make his stomach turn any more. It actually felt kind of safe and comfortable. The more he thought about it, the more it seemed to make sense to propose to Brandi. “My dearest Brandi, I should have done this so much sooner. But I have been such a fool. Please forgive this old man’s foolish mistakes and say you will marry me!”
 
“Oh my plumbbob!” Brandi didn’t know what else to say. She stared at the big shiny ring around her finger. Don and Brandi had been together for quite some time now, but she never expected him to actually propose to her. They had a relationship of convenience, not one of passion or deep profound love.

After his “thing” with Dina, Don had returned to his old home because he had nowhere else to go. From the start Brandi had made it clear to him she wouldn’t accept this kind of crap from him anymore. He would raise the children together with her or she would make all his “dirty laundry” public. If the truth ever came out, he could kiss his career in the medical community goodbye, as well as any future romancing opportunities. “Hey there cutie, I’m Don Lothario. You know me, I’m the guy that cheated on his pregnant wife, left another woman with four little screaming and pooping babies and denied fatherhood of his own alien spawn.” That would be the probably the lousiest pick up line ever.  

Don had known it would be for the best to stay and help raise the kids together with Brandi. And in the end he actually turned out a pretty decent dad. He cut down on the evening shifts at work so he could be around more often, his dating frequency went down drastically and whenever he had a special lady friend he made sure to keep it secret from his kids and Brandi. It took a long time before Don and Brandi actually got together. One winter night, when they both were tired and had a little too much to drink, one thing  had led to another. Brandi didn’t mind being pregnant again, she always wanted a big family. Don and Brandi never had a very passionate affair, but for Brandi the most important thing was they were a family together. And now it turned out Don wanted the same thing.

“Oh Don, I accept your proposal.” Brandi threw herself into his arms. Don felt so relieved. It took her a long time to answer and he feared she might decline his offer. He wasn’t the most faithful man around and he did pull some crazy stunts with the Caliente sisters. He decided it would be best to make some kind of gesture, to show Brandi he wouldn’t fall into temptation any more. “Hon, let’s invite some people to celebrate. Let’s invite Dina and Nina to dinner and show them how happy we are together.”

Brandi was so ecstatic about the marriage proposal she just couldn’t say no to Don on anything at this moment. “Wonderful! I will call them right now.” Don immediately grabbed the phone. He half expected them to decline, but it seemed that time had healed the old wounds because both sisters accepted his invitation.

Later that night Dina was the first to show up at their doorstep. When Brandi broke the news about the engagement, Dina had to do her best to keep a straight face. Old wounds weren’t completely healed after all. “Brandi, uhmm, yeah, uhmm, congratulations!” Dina had to push back the tears in her eyes. Don should have been hers and would have been hers if it weren’t for the strange resurrection of Mortimer. Ever since the return of her once dead husband she had to live as an old spinster without romance. She was too afraid her dirty little secret would come out and she would lose all her precious wealth.

Nina showed up a little later that night and was surprised to see her sister. Brandi explained about the engagement and how this dinner tonight was about forgetting the past and moving on with the future. Nina couldn’t help but chuckle. “Oh what a wonderful idea Brandi! By the way, make sure you shop at Big Brides. Because it sure shows you had all them kids girl! With the rate you’ve grown, Don better make sure he buys a bigger house or the future doesn’t have any room for him!” Nina didn’t lust after Don anymore. He had grown old and soft. But she couldn’t help giving a little sneer at little miss goody two shoes. Pleasantview’s most devoted mother would marry Pleasantview’s most notorious womanizer. Nina thought it was just too hilarious.

Brandi was well aware of the fact her dress size had increased over the years. Nina’s remark had hit a weak spot in Brandi’s confidence. “Waaaah, I’m an enormous hippo and I’ll never find a pretty dress for my wedding, waaaaah!”

Nina left the party early. She had heard the big news and she really had no further interest in talking with Brandi, Don or her sister Dina. “Goodnight everyone and I wish you good luck Brandi, you’ll probably need it!”

Dina tried to compliment Brandi while they were having dinner. “Brandi sweetie, what a lovely dinner. You sure are a great cook!” Brandi couldn’t help but look sad after those remarks. “Thanks Dina, but I’m starting to wish now I wasn’t such a great cook. I just can’t help myself around food and now I’m the size of a sea cow.” Brandi pushed her still half full plate away. With a little twinkle in her eyes Dina leaned over the table and whispered to Brandi. ‘Why don’t you come over for lunch tomorrow. I’ll give you some tips on how to look your best.” After dinner Dina left and Don huged his fiancée Brandi. “You did great tonight Hon! You and Dina got along just great and Nina…, well Nina was just being Nina. But you did just wonderful Honey.”

The next afternoon, Brandi went over to Dina’s house. She didn’t know what to expect, after all Dina was Don’s ex girlfriend but Brandi couldn’t help being  curious. After their lunch, Dina wanted to have a heart to heart conversation with Brandi. “Brandi sweetie, you know how superficial men can be. You really got to get a grip on your weight issues before Don decides it’s time for something new. Because we girls need to help each other out in times of trouble, I’m willing to share a secret with you. It’s an early wedding gift from me to you.” Brandi couldn’t believe her ears. Since when did Dina became her friend?

“Brandi sweetie, it’s completely herbal and takes care of those unwanted love handles in no time at all. I don’t know how it works exactly but it has something to do with a special enzyme. Really, it has worked wonders for me. Not only has it helped me keep my youthful figure, but my hair has never been so shiny as well. Just take a couple of teaspoons every day after a meal and it does it’s magic. If you start today, you’ll probably look as stunning in your wedding dress!” Brandi didn’t trust Dina, but she really wanted to look her best at the wedding. And she had to admit that Dina didn't look her age at all. She actually looked as beautiful and radiant as twenty years ago. Brandi thanked Dina and couldn’t wait to get home.

When Brandi got home she immediately unpacked her gift and found a beautiful green bottle inside. “Hmm, completely herbal. Well, then it probably won’t hurt me if I take a little more than just a couple of teaspoons! I’m in a hurry to get gorgeous!” Eagerly Brandi took a few big gulps of the green liquid. “Aaaaaw, I feel better already. Gosh, I can’t wait to take a look in the mirror.”
 
Brandi ran upstairs to the master bathroom where Don was preparing himself for a bath. The steam made it impossible for Brandi to take a proper look in the mirror. But she was so sure she looked prettier, she decided to ask Don if he noticed anything different about her.

“Hmmm, Hon, you look kind of green! Maybe the apple juice was a bit over the expiration date?” Brandi felt the blood rush to her head. “Oh no, I had an overdose of some kind of herbal medicine! You’re a doctor, what should I do?” Don was puzzled by Brandi’s new look. “I’ve never seen anything like this before. I’m not really sure if we’re able to fix this.” Brandi started to panic. “Oh no, I can’t marry like this! You don’t want to marry me like this! You hate vegetables!”

Don started to laugh and hugged Brandi. “Don’t be silly Hon, even if you would grow the size of an elephant and turn purple with orange stripes I would still love and marry you!” The cuddling couple was disturbed by their man maid, so they decided to go and talk in the living room about what to do next.

A few of days later, Brandi decided to call her kids in college to prepare them for the wedding that would take place in a couple of weeks.

“Hello Rufus, how are you doing?”
“Hi Mom! Everthing is just great here. We’ve just finished our final exams and we all made it, so tonight we’re going to celebrate!”
“That’s just wonderful! Are you coming home soon for summer with your brothers?”
“Yeah, probably next week or so. We still have a lot of packing to do and we want to hang out with some of our friends before we go. But we don’t want to miss the wedding!”
“Uuuhm, about the wedding Rufus. It’s still on, but I’ve kind of had a little accident. It’s nothing serious, but I’m kind of green looking. So don’t freak out if you see me.”
“Don’t worry mom! You know green is my favorite color! Can’t wait to see you. Lot’s of love and kisses from me and the bro’s. Got to go now mom, it’s time to party!
“Bye Roof. See you soon!”

Mmm, it's kinda weird how it skipped ahead, but I absolutely love this story. Great pics, interesting plots between the characters...reminds me of Desperate Housewives almost, minus all the panty shots they throw in.

Great update!  Thank you for pointing me to those gorgeous aliens and default alien skins - I now have some beautiful aliens in my game, too!  Poor Brandi - she has always been my favorite Pleasantview sim.  And I hope Don really has changed and takes good care of her, whether she's green, purple, or striped!

Thank you all so much for the positive comments. My sincere apologies for the long silence. Work has been absolutely crazy and the holidays took a lot of my time as well. I really needed a break from simming and everything else ;)

Now I have returned nice and tanned from a sweet little holiday on one of the canary islands. I also recently started playing the sims again, but I had a little accident. Yes, I broke my game :(  And stupid me didn't have any back ups of my neighborhood :(
I really don't know what I did wrong. I downloaded a lot of stuff and then my game refused to start. So I removed my complete download folder and the stupid game still didn't start. I decided the best thing to do was to uninstall and reinstall everything. At the moment I nearly have all my EP's installed again. Because I was playing my Pleasantview neighborhood for the story I hope that with the help of some hacks (like inSIMenator) I';; be able to kind of recreate the whole storyline again.

So I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hopefully I'll still be able to post the rest of  the sim story.

Oh no!! Poor Brittybe. *Gives jar of cookies.* I had a crash like that once, except everything on the computer died, everything, and when I tried to recreate any sims, I failed miserably. :cry:

sanchini, Zggs and dragon_tfm, I really liked writing the story a lot. I still have some pics left that I intended for different chapters. But I also needed a few extra pics though to make the story fit. Luckily, I think I have enough to make one mixed and matched chapter (about the wedding, yay!!!!). Hopefully this chapter will be ready somewhere this month. I'm kind of having trouble with recreating my pleasantview character's offspring. So I'll have to come up with another ending than I had in mind for the chapters after the wedding. I'll just have to let my imagination loose on that one :-)

Did you try the Tombstone of Life and Death, where you can chose to add a new female toddler or such.

Thanks for the tip Zggs! I never tried the Tombstone before, but it sounds like it might come in handy.
I've decided on how the story will end now, and I've decided that the next chapter will also be the last one. I just can't spare the time to replicate the Pleasantview neighborhood the way it was in my story. I definitely expect to finish the final chapter this month though.

Oh no! I was just following this great story, and now I come to the bit where you lost all your sims! Aieeeeeeeee!!!

I did a similar thing just two days ago. I had to uninstall/reinstall one of my expansion packs, and carefully backed up the neighborhood. Unfortunately, I didn't realise that it would erase the folder I had backed it up into!
So now I'm back to the start again...

Hi everybody! As promised, I'm back with the final chapter of Pleasantview Soapbox. It took me a while to decide how to end it all and I must say I took the easy way out. I really couldn't bring myself to reconstructing the entire neighborhood, too much work! But I did want to end the story with a final chapter and share some of the wedding pics with you. You've all been so supportive and I really appreciate all your comments. I'm not sure if I'm going to write another story, but I might just start another one when I've had some more time to play with the game. I'm kind of lazy when it comes to pics, I just make 'em as a play along. Anyway here's the final chapter, I hope you enjoy it!

CHAPTER 15 --- Sweet Dreams ---

In the backyard of the Lothario household a big wedding party was taking place. Finally Brandi and Don would tie the knot and make their relationship official.

Both Don and Brandi had been married before, but this wedding was very special to them anyway. All the painful mistakes and hardship had only made their bond stronger. Brandi felt her stomach tingle when Don pulled her closer and gave her a long passionate kiss. Who would have thought that after all there could be a happy ending for Don and Brandi.

“This wedding is a piece of cake!” Don remarked to his blushing bride. “I’ve should have come to my senses years ago!” Don tenderly took a little piece from his cake and let Brandi taste the wonderful vanilla cake with white chocolate icing. “Hmmm, almost just as sweet as you”, Brandi replied with a wink. The couple acted as if they where young lovers. They where constantly flirting and kissing. But not everyone seemed to appreciate their behaviour. Their daughter Donatella, who normally is very outgoing, had been silent all day and seemed to avoid her mother.

“what’s wrong sweetie, aren’t you enjoying yourself?” Brandi carefully asked her daughter. “ Mom, you know that lady Dina Caliente? I kind of called her this morning to make sure she wouldn’t come over. I warned her their would be trouble if she tried. And then she told me why she had been so mean. You know mom, dad has pulled some real nasty stunts on you. He left you alone with four babies. How can you forgive him for that?”
“Sweetie, your dad hasn’t been mr. Perfect. Actually, he’s been more like mr. Disaster. But despite everything, he gave me the big family I always wanted. I’m so glad to have you in my life sweetie, I don’t have any regrets. I came from a very bad place. My first husband had just died and I found out I was pregnant with twins. Life couldn’t get much worse for me and now I have all this!” Brandi told her daughter with a smile. She wasn’t sure her daughter would understand, but she wanted her to know she was happy now.

But Donatella did understand. She would have never done the same, but well, family wasn’t her priority either. To show her mom she was ok with it all she decided to do a toast on the newly weds. Brandi never felt happier in her life before. Here entire family was here to celebrate, even Dustin, his wife and their two kids. They had such a troubled life when Skip had only just died. And if she was honest, even when Skip was still alive their life wasn’t all she had hoped for. But after all the hardship, and maybe even because all the hardship, she ended up in a better place than she ever could imagine.

While her lips were about to touch the champagne glass, she started to wake up. Brandi desperately needed something to drink. Her throat was so dry she could swear she was in the desert. With her eyes still adjusting to the light, Brandi slowly pushed herself to the side of the bed. Her feet touched the cold stone floor. Hmm, she didn’t recall having a stone floor. While the clouds of sleep where leaving her brain, a panic struck her heart. This isn’t her home! Where the hell is she? “ What is this place. Am I losing my sanity, this looks like some kind of castle”. At first Brandi thought Dina had been pulling another stunt, but finally her memory came back to her and made her realize how wrong she was. “It was all just a dream. Stupid hormones!” It was strange for Brandi to realize that all the adventures she thought had been so real were nothing more than the hormones from her latest pregnancy raging through her body.

Brandi recalled how she had a long talk with the lady from the social services when Dustin had been brought home late at night by the police. The lady turned out to be very nice and helpful when Brandi had told her she was pregnant again and didn’t know how to make ends meet. She had said she knew a nice couple in Strangetown that were looking to adopt. They had already adopted a child before so they had a pretty good track record. Brandi was at her wits end. She knew she already had trouble providing for Dustin and Beau, she could never deal with two new hungry mouths to feed. It seemed the logical thing to do, even though her heart was crying. She had however one condition, she needed to see the “ would be”  parents to assure to herself her kids would really be better off with them.

The journey was long and tiresome, but finally she arrived in Strangetown. She had heard stories about this strange little town. She had heard about the rare genetic skin condition that would  cause green skin and there were claims that Bella Goth had been seen. The couple that was looking for adoption looked very normal to Brandi though. Circe and Loki Beaker seemed to be just what Brandi was looking for. They both had successful careers, a gorgeous home and the son they had adopted earlier had gone off to college.

Circe had been very interested in the babies. She made sure Brandi had everything she needed. “ Would you like something to eat, or maybe to drink? You must be so tired after the trip, please relax a bit in our comfortable sofa. Oh, why don’t you stay the night. It’s such a long trip back and you shouldn’t tire yourself to much while pregnant!” Brandi was reluctant at first, but Circe was right, she was very tired and she wanted what was best for her unborn babies. And so she ended up in this strange environment.

Brandi coughed a bit, darn she had such a dry throat. “Stupid dry desert air!, I’m going to get me something to drink”. It seemed like the door was locked. “Hmm, probably for my protection? But I really need something to drink right now!” Her body was screaming for fluid and she knew better than to deny her body something while pregnancy hormones were raging through her body. She was uncomfortable enough. Brandi hadn’t always been the perfect daughter in law. Actually in her teens she was quite the rebel. Dustin’s behavior actually matched her own behavior at that age. That’s why she knew she had to keep a good eye on him. With a hairpin and a bit of wiggling, Brandi was able to open the bedroom door.

Brandi had the scare of her life when she walked into the kitchen of the Beaker home. “Aaargh, a burglar”. Poor Brandi nearly peed her pants, but the guy she ran into seemed in shock as well. Before Brandi could scream her longs out, he started to explain. “No, no, I’m not a burglar. I live here!” Brandi was stunned, “but the Beakers told me they were living alone since their adopted son Nervous was off to college”.  Nervous started to frown, “off to college?, I could only dream of such a thing. They’ve been holding me captive ever since I came here as a little boy. They’ve used me for experiments. But I’ve told them I’m not taking their crap any longer. They locked me up, but released me a couple of hours ago. They said they didn’t need me anymore and I could get my stuff and leave”.

Brandi knew exactly why the Beakers wouldn’t need him anymore. They would have her children to replace him. “Never!” she thought to herself. Carefully she asked Nervous more information, “Do you have any place to go to?” Nervous stared at her and then looked away, “Well I’ve got a friend right here in Strangetown, but I really have trouble getting along with his brothers. And he doesn’t want to leave his family now he’s in a certain condition. So I really don’t know”. Brandi took a good look at him, “You really have to get out of here, you know. Because I’m not giving my babies to these freaks! You can be sure they’ll turn to you for their nasty experiments again. So If you can arrange a ride back to Pleasantview for me, I’ll think I can place an extra bed in Dustin’s bedroom.” Nervous replied eagerly, “Oh please give me a chance. I can baby sit and cook and, and, …I’ll call Pascal right away. He’ll give us a ride!”

Nervous had kept his word and Brandi was happy to be safe in her home again. She called the social services on the Beakers and they had been jailed thanks to Nervous confessions. He was a welcome addition in her small home. Sure Dustin had been complaining and their house was as crowded as it could be, but Nervous turned out a great cook and baby sitter. He also recently had been awarded a lot of money as compensation for the abuse by the Beakers. The future was sure looking up for Brandi and her family.

But sometimes Brandi still wonders about the strange dream she had in the Beaker house. Was it really all just a dream or had it something to do with the strangeness that is Strangeville. She recalls a strange meeting. When she was doing some shopping, her eyes crossed those of Nina Caliente. The passionate redhead had just come out a dressing booth where she could swear she had seen a guy enter earlier. And when their eyes met, Nina gave her a wink and a broad devilish smile. But then Brandi shakes her head and knows it's no use hanging on to a dream when you've got to face the harsh day to day reality. But it sure was a sweet dream...

Don would ends up in a coma after a mysterious shooting right before he and Brandi would have gone on their honeymoon. Their would have been a lot of speculation about the who, how and why, but this plot would have really required me to reconstruct the entire neighborhood and that really would have taken too much time ;-)

I'm glad you all enjoyed the chapter and I hope you have lots and lots of fun playing your own soap drama filled sim neighborhoods.

Wow, this was a fantastic story, certainly with a few good twists here and there. More riveting than the barroom brawls the Montys and Capps have at a nightclub in my game. :)

ok, completely loved it up until the 'it was all a dream' part. however i think i will blame that on ur computer not u.

though i understand, redoing all that would take a lot of time..... well, depending on how you go about it but it still would be a pain. though i'm just wondering about what would have happened to the pleasant family after the time skip, because they're all completely left out.... was Lilith still going to be with Alex? May-Sue still out of her mind? Angela...... well, yeah. Sorry they're my fav family from pleasantview (ok, mostly just Lilith, but i'm still curious as to basically what was going to happen)

though it is nice that u did technically finish it (ie post all the wedding pic.s and such) instead of just saying computer died, no more story. cuz that really would have been the lazy lazy way to end it, just call it over.
