Title: Basic Shape - Torus, ring, or doughnut shape
Post by: BeosBoxBoy on September 17, 2007, 02:52:38 pm
No extensive tutorial on this, but there are 64 JPGs in the RAR with screen captures illustrating the easiest way to make a torus in MilkShape 3D.  A sample torus is included in MS3D format, you can use it directly or as a learning tool.

The screen captures show what tools were used and the settings used in each tool.  Simply copy the settings you see there to make a similar shape.

A degree of self-initiative is required to decide how far from the axis you want the curve to begin, how many stacks will determine the right degrees of arc you need to rotate (360 divided by number of stacks = degrees of rotation), etc.

I hope this helps make something easier for you.
