Title: remembering cheats
Post by: chriskay on October 14, 2007, 03:58:25 pm
Is there anyway for my game to remember some cheats without having to type it over and over? Like 45 degrees rotation, bug jar decay off, pets control and cancelling...

You need to put the cheats you use most frequently in your startup cheat file. But you'll need to remember that any cheats you put in here will be active by default when you start the game, and you'll have to manually turn them off if you need to the old-fashioned way.

Here's a good tutorial for startup cheats:

you could also try Lucas' Sims 2 Easy Cheats.  It's a tiny program that you run in the background that uses a combination of keystrokes to input your cheats for you.

It has to be open/running in the background or it won't work.

Another trick to remember is that if you have already typed in a cheat while playing, you can open your cheat box and hit the up arrow on your keyboard to cycle through the cheats you have used during your current session.
