Title: Can't start game, says I'm using a backup disk Post by: Veckah on November 04, 2007, 12:09:33 pm Ok I don't think this one has been asked as of yet. I start my game, it goes to the normal start dialog box, I click the play button and the dialog box goes away as normal. After a few moments of my game loading I get another dialog box that says:
Please insert the original disc instead of a backup (1000). I am not using a backup disk. This is the very disk I installed BV with. I thought maybe it was simply a glitch and downloaded the patch hoping it would fix it, no dice. I get the same dialog box and cannot load the game. I might also note that I HAD been able to play my game before. This is a new system and I installed from scratch. I played with just the naked game a couple of times. I have installed VERY little CC and the ONLY hack I have installed is the BV version of InSimenator. Also, the game will not start by simply putting the CD into my drive, I have to use my desktop shortcut. Any ideas? ********** My comp. specs. This has happened to many with the BV EP so it is a known issue. Try bypassing the launcher and create your shortcut using the exe. to start your game it should do the trick. Ancienthighway explains this here (http://www.insimenator.org/showpost.php?p=934708&postcount=4) . I hope this helps! :) Title: Can't start game, says I'm using a backup disk Post by: Pierre on November 04, 2007, 12:37:40 pm hello
