I love them all- they're sooo good. How do you get such good pics of your sims???

The only 'professional' pics I can do of any kind are of real people- I've done stuff for my band too, but I can't get my head round this!

Those sims are from my story, which you are all invited to check out on the other site (well, not everyone, just the adults hehe), but the only original ones are Leo, and the Hitter (well there are other original sims in the story), so I can only share those; and I eventually will, maybe at the end of the story... ;)

That last two took FOREVER to set up. I was so disappointed that I had to drop out of the contests early, thanks to one of those pesky "real life" emergencies. But, c'est la vie. :)

I think it looks good kat.  If you would like a suggestion I would say maybe clean up the cutting you did around her hair a bit and either make her darker and a bit sharper or you could blur the background a bit!  Its really cool looking tho!

Thank you :) I did it pretty much the same way everyone else photoshops poses... each body part is a different layer (on the second one the table top is a separate layer also), and I just move them around until they fit!
For cutting sims out of pictures (I think that's what you mean), if you use photoshop you can change the setting on the lasso tool to 'magnetic', and that basically follows the outline of whatever you're cutting out. I don't know about in other programs... I also use PSP 7, which has a 'smart edge' lasso tool, but it's not half as fast/accurate as in photoshop.

thanks... but if i did do that, it would be the same concept haha. i am so not creative. i think that taurus shot was just beautiful because of the background. the pose is simple and the skintone was enayla's so, you can't go wrong with that. and the expression on her face was just an accident.

Since I'm fairly new to using filters and everything, (I'm used to just editing my screenshots and drawings with the brushes and basic blur/sharpen/etc) I did a little experimenting with a few pics.  Of course, those who know me know which test subjects I used.  :roll:

All the pics that I've seen so far are so unique and well done! I'm still a newbie at pic taking in Sims and photomanips though I draw a lot, but there are a few I'm sort of happy with.

Banner pic for a hair recolour I did; nothing flashy about the posing or composition, but I liked the lighting and the colours of the shot. The base pic itself was not edited at all, just slapped the text bits over it.

Two different guys – One give me his Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8
The other give me his Painter 5, He’s on a Mac but this Painter 5
is for Mac and Windows.

I understand almost everyone seems to like Photo shops.
This is not a test :D If you where going to learn one of these
programs, which one would you, choose.

I seem to be on a rambling here.
So I’ll also ask which one if you know is more like  Photo shops.
Paint Shop Pro 8 or Painter 5.

I'd say Paint Shop Pro just because it looks like you can do more on that than compared to Painter 5, but I'm not entirely sure.

I agree, I made my pic with PaintShop Pro. It's much easier to learn
everyone likes photoshop because it's full of features but the thing is that it's has a bunch of tools & stuff.

Remember, making wonderful graphics you don't need a fancy program.

Yeah, but Photoshop is the best anyway... but a little bit complicated sometimes...!

Photoshop is easy to use once you get the hang of it ;)  It can take a while, but it's worth it in my opinion.

I made this as an example of a photoshoot in a sims model contest I hold at a Thai sims fansite.

I painted the sky, the cape, and the ribbon, but the model was made from 6-10 shots of this sim.

this is Raven's first child. a little girl. since then shes had quads...all of them girls!!! so now she has 5 altogether. i wanted her to have just one boy..lol

I really liked how her eyes looked and how it sorta looked like their was a breeze and it was moving her hair.  lol.  Then I remembered her hair is animated and her mom was rocking her. lol
