Title: Which do you prefer? Free will on or off?
Post by: Chinami on November 15, 2007, 06:55:22 pm
As the title said, "Which do you prefer Free will on or off?" I prefer off so I can control them and they don't go CRAZY! But I sometimes like off because I like to see what the other sims do and I can focus on just one sim at a time, seeing them be destructive is also AWESOME too! How about you?

I usually use Free Will on, most of my Sims (It's Amazing!) know how to take care of themselves. But whenever I'm fillming, snapshotting, or not wanting tod eal with sims and their want to play games or do the ever so occasional stupid thing, I play with it off.

I always play with Free Will on, it's more fun IMO ;) specially with ACR

Oh yeah...I leave free will on all the time, as I like to have a bit of unpredictability in my game. I happen to have ACR installed too...lol

Freewill and ACR is the best! I've had several children conceived that way. Usually I play with it off unless I don't have specific plans for them.

I always play with free will on. I hate micro-managing my sims (unless they're being really obnoxious)-but I don't let them get away with everything!

To me, it's either/or.  (I have a heck of a lot of "no autonomy" mods, so it's a lot easier to have them do their thing without seeing "kicky bag" and "pillow fight" in the que.  )

When I'm actually playing, I have free will on.  But when doing contests, taking pics, and all that stuff, it's a definite off.

I'm such a control freak, I try to put it on, but my sims are moody and hate each other unless I force them to be nice. Im mean master, so I make them beat up other sims (thanks to carigon@sism2workshop).

Always freewill. I love when something unpredictable happens in my game, sometimes it sparkles a completely new story and when it has some undesired result, there is always the option to leave without saving ;)

Interesting everyone :3 I usually have it off, I like to control my sims and happen to be good at multitasking! I'm just curious, but is there a way you can make only ONE sim with Free will off or does everyone have to have free will off? Thanks!

I do believe that there is a "free will for 1 sim" mod over at MTS. At least that's what I remember.

I keep free will on as well except for when I'm trying to get some sims to stand next to each other and not move or anything then I turn it off til I get the shots I want then it goes back on right away and I also have ACR lol.

Autonomous Casual Romance.  It's Two Jeff's most popular mod, found only on the InTeen (http://box156.bluehost.com/~aestudi1/forums/inteenimater/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=2) site.  ;)

I prefer Free Will ON also. It seemed too much to click on the toilet and tell them to go.

I usually play with Freewill off. I always had it on, but since I started contests I discovered the joys of having sims that don't walk up 3 stairs to pick up the baby, after which they put it on the floor to walk the 3 stairs down again, finally going to the toilet which I directed them to.
But I'm planning on getting ACR when I clean out my game again, so when I have that it'll have to be on, otherwise I can't enjoy the mod. ^^

I always have free will on, I'm micromanaged enough at work, can't face giving the same torture to my sims! They just look so sad if I have it off, just standing around staring at me .....

Things worked out fine for me when I turned Free Will on.
I'm not the micromanaging type.

I play with Free Will on, but I don't give my sims much freedom.  Even with free will on, I still control most of their actions.

Off, all the time.
I'm a control freak and my sims are morons, haha.  I need to make sure my sims are happy and marry the right people then have the right number of babies and everything is by my hand!  ;D

I'm a control freak also.  I hate the stupid things sims do with free will turned on, like bogarting musical instruments and being obsessed with kicky bag.  I don't trust sims with less than 3 cooking skill points with a stove.

Title: Re: Which do you prefer? Free will on or off?
Post by: Feisty32 on February 14, 2009, 02:20:25 am
i think i could tolerate kicky bag more then i could the damn pillow fights. i hate it when male sims cry seriously there is nothing more tragic, sad, and pathetic then seeing a grown male sim cry hahaha. ;D :p

Not if they're Don Lothario... I turn free will off because if I want them to do something and get the dialog that they're in too bad of a mood to do it, I get kind of ticked. I'm a mean, rotten overlord to my sims at times. Which reminds me, Don is due for his bi-weekly fling and get caught, so I'll catch you guys later... buwahahahahah!

The sites that used to have it are either all down or gone

Give Simbology some time, I'm sure they'll be back soon.

EDIT: Aaaaand, they're back up again!

I always keep it on. The only reason I'll turn it off is it I'm trying to take photos and they keep going off to cook some macaroni or take a bath or worse, *GASP*, WOOHOO!

Usually I never leave the Free will on and leave the game going and leave, because usually I come back to find my sim with a belly bump.
I only do that if there is either no two adults, 2 elders, or just an adult and an elder.

Right now on my current fam. I've been playing everyday, there was 2 adults, and they wouldn't stop trying to woohoo, so I had to watch them carefully all the time, but now that Zella is an elder, it doesn't matter, because she can't get preggos! FREEEEEDOM!!!

In my game, Free Will is ON. :D I like seeing what stupidity they'll do. This one sim I have, Aric Edenwalt...a teen...is the king of all pranksters. Seriously, the kid's got some serious issues. I drive him to a community lot (They're filthy rich those Edenwalts, so Aric drives a Zonda, lol) and let him p*** everyone off. One time he p***** off the whole lot. There was 6 sims, including the service sims, and everyone is STILL furious with him. We love Aric. He's my new age Dudley Landgrabb...LMAO!

Cussing issues.

I leave it on because some of the stuff they do is hilarious. My sims aren't very smart....so seeing one of them with all their needs in the red rush to play SSX3 is really funny.I do get annoyed with them constantly making lobster thermidor....do they have an aquarium somewhere with a constant supply of lobsters?and the plates of chopped up lobster that litter the kitchen because I forced them to do something else is kind of irritating, but it's funny at the same time. They really do the silliest, dumbest things...but that is part of what makes me love this game so much.

So of course I said I leave my free will on but oh! How did I ever live without ACR?  Now it is truly free will 1woot but lordy I can't look away for a minute—especially if they are romance or pleasure sims. Now I get at least one cliffhanger a week 1nails.

I just moved a (cas) sim out of the bin to become a nanny (gave her a Freelancer career since I couldn't find a nanny career) and after she was hired a message came up she decided to wait a few days before starting the job since her baby was coming 1blink what?!  I had to pour through her memories to see who the father was 1dunno.  I wonder if I hire her will she give birth and leave the baby at her employer's house?  Tune in tomorrow... 2laugh it's like my own soap opera.

Free will is ON. They have more "personality" with it on. However I tend to use the pause button a heck of a lot. However sometimes if I don't know what I feel like making them do I let them choose for me! (unless its REALLY stupid then I stop them hehe )
