Title: Question about Resetting errors with boolprop
Post by: melscape on December 28, 2007, 09:22:33 pm
Alright, I'm a big boolprop fan and have been for a long time, Not ashamed of it and never thought it was hurting my game until now.

I now have an issue where if when the regular "error" pops up, I hit reset, it resets the action permanently within the game, in all neighborhoods and instances and never completes the action again.  My sims can no longer "toss toddlers in the air" and toddlers can no longer "cry when in needs desperation". These actions all just reset now because I reset them once, they always just 'jump' out of these interactions.

Do I just have to stop using it or is there an easy way to fix this? If I delete the error logs will it 'forget' what I told it to do?

You're getting the object error because of a bad mod.  Run HCDU  (http://www.simwardrobe.com)and if you have any questions on the output, ask away (attach the HCDU output file).

Also, attach the last object error file created.

Oh I should have thought of that. It all started when I downloaded a bunch of new mods and such for movie making tools.

Now would it have to be a global mod considering it's affecting all lots and all neighborhoods?

Since as far as I can tell it's only toddler related, would it have to be a toddler mod?

That makes it sound like a toddler mod.  Start by looking there.

Well, that's odd cause I don't think I even have any toddler mods.

Okay, all I can find that might even affect toddlers is possibly my animations hacks. Things like Talk Sitting, Talk Standing. Idle Animations. But I don't even think those work for toddlers.

I have very few global mods. Move out for teens, sneak here, rub belly, no servo chores, anitweatherreactions and the like, nothing that should even affect toddlers.

Just a note that I got this resolved.  Removing my hacks was unhelpful so I finally got the Seasons patch since I'd never bothered. Doing so, caused me to have to reinstall my objects package from the CD and the object errors all ceased. :)
