This mod adds the option to adopt teens from the adoption service.
 
**This version replaces all the other versions if you have an older version delete it before installing this one**
 
Now you can choose male or female for toddler, child and teen.
This mod now bypasses the adoption pool and just creates new a sim.

6/24/06 Made the EP3 versions compatible with the new EP3 & FFS patch, I also added a random option to the gender preference.
7/02/06 You can now choose between these skin colors(EP3 Versions Only) Lighest, Light, Medium, Dark, or Random.

Glad to see you've moved on to another place. I'm posting here because it definitely seems a lot less cluttered. I hope you check both sites just as frequently. :)

In any case, I was wondering, if it's not too much trouble, can you make a version for OFB that uses the adoption pool first, and only when that pool is depleted, it should then create a new sim.

I'd rather not have new sims created, especially if there's an adoption pool of sims that's just sitting around. :P

edit: I just double checked the code & it will only let you choose gender when it creates a sim, it doesn't hit that line of code if there is a sim in the adoption pool.

Your welcome, at first I thought you found a bug in this mod & that is why I double checked, I also put a teen up for adoption & when I adopted that teen it didn't give me the option to choose gender.

Babies, children & teens that get taken by the social worker end up in the adoption pool.

How do you get teens in the adoption pool? They can't be taken by the social worker. Unless there's a hack for that, maybe?

I use inge's teleporter shrub to put teen sims up for adoption if I want to adopt a certain teen, but I don't have a link to it because her stuff is on a different site now.

I see now. I forgot about Inge's shrub. I don't have it, but insim does most everything it does.

If you wouldn't mind could you try it a couple of more times just to be sure that you didn't click on the wrong option because I have been using that same version since ep3 came out & have never had that happen; if you find it does happen again then let me know & I will double check all the code.:)

I LOVE your hacks! i was just wondering if there was a way you can have so we can choose the gender when its not in the adoption pool. because frankly im confused about wich version i need/want! if you can help ty if no then ill figure it out sooner or later :D :hello2: ty for all these great hacks!

All versions allow you to choose gender when sims aren't in the adoption pool; If you want to be able to always choose the gender for EP3 download "OFB_AdoptTeenNoAdoptionPoolV1.1".:)

Hmmm...I downloaded the teleporter plus from nectere.net and it doesn't have the option to put teens in the adoption pool only to make them townies. Adopting a teen did work, it just spawned a new teen for adoption. I wonder what I did wrong? Maybe the version of the shrub I downloaded isn't the right one?

Probably that was an older version. Too bad I didn't get it before Inge took down the site. Oh well, it wasn't that important to me. If I want to get a teen out of the house they can just move out, thanks to InTeen.

I 'am' still having trouble with this hack with the age choosing of the child to be addopted. If I ask for a toddler im getting a child, when i ask for a child im getting a teen:) Possibley im having a conflict with another hack of course, im 'trying' to weed my hacks out (boy is that tough ... they get everywere ... sneeky lil gits)  to see what's crept into my game that could be affecting this much needed mod :)

I installed the OFB_AdoptTeenNoAdoptionPoolV1.1 and when the option screen came up to choose what age group my sim wanted to adopt from (other, toddler, child) I clicked 'other' and another window opened up giving 2 options 'Baby' &  something that I can't remember what it said, but it was a long sentence. No teen option, I click the 'sentence' to see if it would bring up anymore options but it didn't - I got a baby.

I should have taken a screenshot to better show you.

I'll try another version of the hack ;)

That happened to me to but I had Nightlife when it happened.

Is this mod still replacing one of the ages, I mean I see adopt babies, children and teens (no toddlers?)
I only adopt what I self place for adoption (I use Inge's teleporter plus).
So, I would like to choose a mod that NEVER use Maxis adoptions.
The only reason I use the Social Service (Maxis) is that no Teleporter was able to include the "Adopt $Subject" memory.
I tried self and concluded that it is too difficult to include memories that have floating owner (a private name has to be included in the memory)
Same as the trouble to change Family Name in-game.
This memory is VERY important, otherwise familiar interactions don't grow in importance (parents seems not to care for the children needs)

The orignal version I made for EP2 did but now it adds an extra option for teen & you can still choose to adopt any other age including toddlers:)

You will need the file "AdoptTeenNoAdoptionPoolV2.1TS2_EP1.zip" it works with the base game & EP1 :)

I don't know if this has been answered but I'm going to ask just to make sure. If I download this hack I will be able to adopt teens but also be able to adopt who ever is remaining in the adoption pool with just TS2? Because the files said no adoption pool so I was kind of wondering.

And also, will I be able to create these teens? I saw something about creating a sim in your post. I have no way of putting my teens up for adoption in game and honestly I wouldn't want to do so since I like my teens for the most part - except when they walk by and kick my trash cans.

The only version of this mod that has the adoption pool is EP3 the other versions ignore the adoption pool, what I meant about creating new sims is that is how this mod works the game creates a new random sim for adoption & doesn't use the adoption pool, I will see if I still have the older version of this mod for TS2(if you want me to) because it used to allow you to adopt from the adoption pool but this version replaced it :)

Ah that makes sense. I'll suppose I'll use this hack only when I want to adopt a teenager. I like to make toddlers/children for my sims to adopt because of previous experiences with constantly adopting horribly unattractive sims.

Ok this is once again poisonedsodapop but since my sister has used this mod I'll post on her name. I'm also too lazy to log out. Are there any issues with default sims (as in maxis original families) and aging in this mod? It's either this or the inteenimator (I believe her and I have the same mods in our folders). She went to the Smith home (in Strangeville) since they had already called to adopt a teen and they got their first teen.

Well after they had a few more teens the teens managed to age, Jenny Smith turned to an elder, and their child Jill remained a child. Everyday at 6 Jill remains at the 4 days until a teen mark. I'm not sure what the problem is with her but I just wanted to check and make sure it wasn't this mod or the inteenimator.

I don't believe it's this mod all of my adopted sim age correctly, I'm not sure what may be the cause; if I find out I will let you know :)

In my case I've try your hack cause I'm searching a way to adopt an existing downtown-female-teen. I read a few thread up that you put the teen that you want adopt in adoption pool. I've Inge teleporter paint plus and also the Insim (make the same thing that the paint but with the good name). I don't find the way you make that...
I'm able to summon teen, add to household and create parental link but that don't satisfy the adoption-want for the adult, so how could I transfert that teen in the adoption-pool and use your hack to adopt her??

When a teen is adopted, are all their memories and relationships with relatives and friends from their previous life erased?  

Would a teen taken by a social worker still call or think about their birth parents and siblings?

Could a parent adopt their own kid taken by the social worker with your hack?

Yes the memories are earased so it can create a new family tree.

Since they have no memory they won't think of their previous parents or have wants to call them.

Could parent adopt their own kid? That is a good question but I doubt it.  If one of the parent don't have a memory of it happening, you can always adopt it back using that Sim.

I don't know if this can be change since it is completely different coding doing that.

I had a teen put her baby up for adoption using Inge's teleporter. When she was older and married she adopted her baby back. Since anyone with a memory of having a child taken by the social worker can't adopt by the normal means, this seemed like a good way to not make the teenager's parents have to raise her child.
 
I still can't figure out how to get teens in the adoption pool. I can adopt teens that are spawned using this hack. I guess if I want a specific teen to be adopted, I'll just have to use Inge's teleporter.

Ozzucay, Squinge mention to me yesterday that he trigger Inge shrub so he can put teen for adoption.  The original version of Inge shrubs cannot do that so it is normal you cannot do this with it. ;)  So nothing is wrong in your game.  Shhhh don't tell anybody.

AHA! I suspected there was some sort of shenanigans going on! :muahaha:
You know, I almost asked Squinge to email his version of Inge's shrub to me so I could see if there was a difference.

If you want to try it, I just attached it to this thread, I forgot that Inge gave permission to modify her work :)

I've my new family member and that's satisfied the adult's wants of adoption.
In fact I use the Insim to summon and add to household cause your shrub show the UK name (I've the french game).
Just one question: after the put in adoption pool the teen appear like a new family with just her as member , hum :idea1: that is mean if I "find own place" with a teen of an existing family she become adoptable?

The teen will only be adoptable if you place them up for adoption, the only other way you can place them for adoption is to move them into the adoption pool with SimPE :)

thank you ^_^ usualy i had to spawn the sim modder and change my teen into an adult then adopt the kid, and THEN change him/her into a teen again...
but that's only because it didn't show up in the sims's memories as growing up, now i don't have to!!!

Yes I've tried and don't work, cause not the same pool as family. And for translation, I've just say that the shrub give only the nickname and  I've to try between 12 "Andrée" so I prefer use the summoner from Insim cause I find in the down-townies menu the good family name, so I can use your shrub to put in adoption. Work fine for me like that so it's OK.
(:muahaha: it's just a forgot from the Insim team cause we've access to NPC, Default, Townies, Down-townies, Ghosts and family pools BUT not adoption pool...)

I tested the new same day adoption service mod and it worked great.  The social worker appeared about 30 min after the sim call (in Sim time).  

I had no problem selecting the type of kid I wanted and the gender so I can confirm these two mods are working fine together.

I don't think it requires any EP's :)

Since Inge's original mod did not require expansion packs, I'm guessing that this modded mod doesn't either. :D

I'm guessing no one else is having this problem so I'll post about it real quick. It doesn't bother me too much but every now and then when I choose to adopt a teen (haven't tried it with other age groups) I'll choose male gender and end up with a female. It's happened to me once and on my sister's game twice. None of the mods in my game are in conflict so I'm not sure why it did this. But as I've said it doesn't bother me too much so I just wanted to mention this.

Squinge is having problem again with his internet connection, hopefully things will be back to normal soon so he can answer you.

Which game version are you using?

Using the version for the base game. I also have the inteenimator in my game.

I will double check that version & let you know if I find any problems.

I just posted a new TS2/EP1 version with only the default text included it may fix the problem some of you are having with that version.

Great!!!! In "real" adoptions the parents can chose the sex, why not in TS2?  Thanks so much!!!!!

I have a question about the shrub: does this shrub replace the Teleport shrub? Because I already have an edited Teleport shrub that adds the option to convert someone into a Downtownie (in addition to townie). I like that feature, so I'd like to be able to keep that version of the shrub as well.

If it's the teleporter shrub plus the yes it will replace it.

I did notice one thing, however - the person who chooses to put the child up for adoption ends up going in the social worker van with them and they leave the lot.  (It was kind of funny to see the mom wave to everyone and get in the van)  
The social worker still takes the child and the memory is given, but the parent goes, too.  Is anyone else having this occur?

That's strange it doesn't do that in my game :)
 
edit: I don't know what would cause that, I took that function from where the game calls the social worker so the parent shouldn't be doing that.

Weird that it doesn't happen for you.  
I tested it on an OFB installation with no custom content and no hacks except for this one. The parent actually hunches down and becomes kid-sized before he gets into the van.
The parent's picture remains on the left side of the screen so he is still considered to be part of the family.  What I did was just summon him back to the lot.

Edit:  Okay, strike that as a viable solution.  When I summoned the parent back (via the shrub) and saved and returned to the lot, there were two of them.

lol, that's kind of funny(sorry I'm sure it's not funny to you), could you post a picture of that ? it almost sounds like the shrub is putting the parent up for adoption, have you installed the ep3 patch?
 
edit: I just realized that it doesn't work for teens it only works for children or younger.

Squinge, I noticed you are using the "old" teleporter shrub, that doesn't include the option to turn someone into a downtownie. I have modified your "enhanced" bush to restore this function, would you mind if I share it with others?

I have previous permission from both Inge and Torkle to use their code, but for obvious reasons would prefer your additions as well.
If you want I can send the file to you first so you can test it for errors.

With this new version (25/05) do we still need the "children put-up for adoption memory" mod as a seperate mod or does this new shrub includes it?

I just had the same problem with the teleporter shrub that jenflower reported :doh:, I have replaced the modified shrub with version 1.0a until I can figure out what is causing that to happen; I recomend that you remove version 1.0b.

Oh - I missed your response.  Yep, I have the patch installed and the Holiday pack, too (not sure if that makes a difference).
I just saw that you had the same thing happen in your game, too.  I guess the parents just couldn't tear themselves away from the kids - they had to put themselves up for adoption, too.  :D

Squinge, I'm confused...this glitch doesn't effect the modified teleporter shrub I downloaded before you added the wants and memories does it? I haven't had anything strange like that happen in my game (yet?).

No it was the updated one that made the social worker show up when you placed a kid up for adoption that I just posted earlier.
 
edit: The version that is now posted fixes the adoption memories so that both parents get that memory & the want satisify.

Super late response (feel free to kill me). Just wanted to say thanks of course now I have university installed because I bought it like 2 days ago. Hopefully it was just a problem I was experiencing and not an issue with the base game! I'll go install that right now. I was wondering if one of my families should have a 21st kid..perhaps now they can and just send him to college.

OFB_AdoptTeenAdoptionPoolV1.0a.zip, work perfectly for me.  I have to use the adopt by social-worker call to have the teen name change for the parent's family name and now no erased teen memory, the adopt-immediatly by shrubb make the same but don't change the teen name. Both parent add the adopt-memory (I've also you townienomemorylost_ep3 and no conflict so I let in...).
So just perfect for me:lol: ...

I have Inge's painting, not her shrub. In nearly EVERY lot, too!!
I really don't like the shrub because I have the staythingsshrub and I'd get them confused; that's why I got the painting.

On a much less ungrateful note, brilliant--what an excellent idea! I d/led your previous ofb_adoptteen package but I wanted this one so I took it out and put the noadoptionpool in. The thing is, I have 2 sims in my adoption pool that I really do want. Shall I take this out when I go to get them? Or can I use the teleporter to somehow find the two of them??
And I think the adoption memory hack is a brilliant idea, but is it only for the adoption pool version?

Did you use Squinge version 1.0a dated of May 21st or dated of May 25th (date of the file in the .zip)?

If you used May 25th version, there is problem with it.

I re-did "my" teleporters after reading of the bug in this thread, so they should be the May 21st versions Squinge re-uploaded May 26th, not the bugged May 25 versions.
The bug should therefore not be present in my copies.

Just to be safe Squinge, maybe you should put back the May 18th version as the 1.0a version until you fix the other bugs on the shrub. ;)

Does anyone else using the teleporter shrub get an error message while adopting sims with testing cheats on?

Yes, when following the exact same steps as MissDoh:

1) teleport a townie kid
2) Adopt -> error

The "correct" method:
1) teleport a townie kid
2) put this kid up for adoption
3) Adopt
works in both the 25 May and 18 May versions, but the first method is bugged in the 25 May version.

Honestly I don't know. I never actually adopt, I just managed to confirm MissDoh's error with the 25-05 version.

I'll ask my sis^H^H^Htester if she gets errors with the 18-05 version, she'll probably find out sooner than I (I am not playing TS2 at the moment as I am working on other things).

Humm that is strange, since there is no put up for adoption on May 18th (sorry I mean 19th) version, only the option to adopt.  On that version only the memory & wants fulfill were added.

Anyhow Jordi, I tried the new version you put at MATY and it still does not work for me.  Neither does the shrub 1.0a version that is included in this post.  Only the old May 18th (sorry I meant 19th) is working properly in my game.

I just posted a new version of Inge's teleporter shrub, I fixed the error reported by MissDoh.

Sims already get an adoption memory when adopting by calling the adoption service, I just added that memory to the shrub.

I know i'm like the latest person ever to try and fine your hack but i tried reading all these post to fix the new and update on this topic and i can't find it i'm kind of new at finding stuff on this site, but i like this site. plus i would really enjoy it if you could give my the direction to these updates. the strub and the adoption memory. thank you so much
 
my bad typing my eyes are hurting from looking so hard, but i said reading all these post to try to find the new updates on this topic.

Those file are updated automatically on the original post, all you need to do is download them and reinstall them again in the same folder (if you have older versions), they should overwrite the ones you already have in your game.

The shrub is this file:  TeleporterShrubPlus&Mem&WantsV1.0b.zip

and the same day adoption is this file:  SameDayAdoptionServiceEP3.zip

I downloaded the edited painting. You can only adopt if the person you want to adopt is in the room, in which case you can. Also, if you say "make me a downtownie" it makes you a member of the very first family you made. "make me a townie" still works brilliantly.

Does this also occur with the shrub? I've looked at the code and it should not work this way. I cannot reproduce it with either painting or shrub, either.

Looking at the code some more, it *might* occur if you do not actually HAVE downtownies. You must have Nightlife installed, and have at least one Downtown area associated with your 'hood.

I'm having trouble with the gender preference for adopting teens. I have the OFB No Adoption Pool mod downloaded, along with the Same Day Adoption mod. I just downloaded both of these last night, so I don't think I have an outdated version unless it's changed in the last 24 hours (this was the first solution that came to mind).
When I adopt a male teen, it alternates between a female and male appearing. I have the game saved right before I adopt him, and I've tested it 5 times. The first time it was a girl. Thinking I had just made an misclick, I went back to the neighborhood and reloaded the household, this time getting a boy. However, I thought he was ugly, so being the idiot that I am, I tried again. This time I got a girl. I tried this two more times, each time getting a boy, then a girl. This doesn't happen when I try to adopt female teens or children, since another family has adopted 3 of them without any problems, and the family I'm having the problem with adopted a female toddler and child shortly before. I haven't tested anything with other ages of boys, but do you have any suggestions?

Have you tired the sims 2 hack conflict detection utility? (http://www.simwardrobe.com) to check for a possible hack conflict.

Yes. I tried that last night as well, shortly after posting. It came up with 0 conflicts.

Did you ever use a previous ep version of this mod? if so did you delete the old one?

I suggest you do the exact same test but on a few other lots to make sure it is not simply the lot that is screwed up.  And if possible, remove all your other mods except that one to make sure it does not conflict with anything else.

I also suggest you go in this folder:  C;/mydoucments/eagames/thesims2/ and delete the group.cache file.  It will regenarate the next time you start the game.

EDIT:  You can leave the sameday adoption mod in too.

What does the group.cache file do?

I fixed the adoption memory only one parent gets the adoption memory it will not work for both; I will try to get it working in a future version.

I did have an older version of the mod, but I deleted it before downloading this one. I did run a check for both 'adopt' and 'teen' in the EA folder, just to be sure, but only my current files came up. I tested different lots and different neighborhoods, but the same thing happened. I moved all of my mods except for the Teen Adoption, Same Day Adoption, and Inteenimator (I assumed it wouldn't cause a problem, would it?) out of the EA Games folder, but the same thing still happened. It didn't work when I deleted groups.cache, either. Oh, and I found out that it's not just effecting teens, but all of the ages for male gender selection.
Should I delete both of the mods and reload them?

That may help this is very strange I always get the gender I choose, did you ever have this problem with the previous version? also have you installed the EP3 patch?

Well, I tried downloading it again, but nothing changed. And I had the patch on my computer, but I double-clicked on it, and it seemed to download itself, so I may have downloaded it off the Sims site, but not installed the content. It still didn't work after this, though, so I don't think that had any effect. As far as I know, I never adopted a male on the pervious version (I didn't use it more than a few times until a couple days ago), so I don't know if I had the problem before.

The only other thing I can suggest is if you could download this tool (http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=8575) run that program & attach the file "modlist.txt" that it will create to your reply & maybe I will be able to solve this mystery.

Sorry this took so long! I've had a busy last few days, and I seemed to remember that I needed to do this when the Sims was already running, and I'd decide to do it when I was done.
And thanks to my great memory, I'd forget by the time I was done with it.

I looked at the list but i'm not seeing anything that would conflict, I have no idea why this isn't working for you, I haven't had any problems with this version or the previous versions, I will let you know if I think of anything else.

I haven't tried it with the shrub. I have all the EPs and FFS (but this was before I got FFS). I also have a neighbourhood for everything but Uni installed.
I tried it more than once and each time they became part of the original family. Curiously enough, in the townies section I only have 7 townies including the three new ones. Would this be because I deleted all characters before I started it? Wouldn't it have regenerated all of them, not just 4?

Townies are typically generated at the rate of one per lot load, so it may take a long time before you have a full complement again.

As for the family issue, I'm out of ideas. If you could test with the shrub I'd appreciate it, but for now I'm not sure where to look. The family ID used in the painting and shrub is consistently and only used for downtownies in all cases I checked, so it ought not to be possible for them to end up in another family...

I have just confirmed the no adoption pool version of this mod is not working with the new patch for some reason, I am still trying to figure out why & will post a new version if I am able to get it working.

I just posted new EP3 versions compatible with the new EP3 & FFS patch, I also added a random option to the gender preference.

I'm equally confused. That family only has three members and whenever I make a downtownie it goes up to as many as 10...very confusing.

I hope you don't mind if I ask for further elaboration. I was informed that there is an issue where, if a married/joined couple adopts a child, only one sim gets the memory of adoption, presumably the one who does the calling.

Now the above seems like it addresses this problem... but I was told that testing done after the 15th has shown that the problem still persists. So... now I am confused as to what this is saying. Has the problem been fixed or not? :eh:

Can someone who has had experience with this clearly state:

1) What the exact problem is? I think it is that only one parent still gets the memory.

2) Whether this has actually been fixed or not? The above quote seems like it is saying that it was fixed... but now I'm confused. It also says at the end 'it will not work for both' - does this mean that it is impossible to fix? Or is this supposed to be stating what the problem was and that it is actually supposed to be fixed now.

I'm really confused right now. :brain:

It was fixed in a previous version of the teleporter shrub but then that created a new bug so I had to remove that fix.

Ahh... ok. So... just to be absolutely clear... with your hack, only one parent gets the memory for adoption?

But, without your hack, both parents, if they are married/joined, correctly get the memory of adoption? In other words, normal game behaviour has both parents would/should get the memory of adoption. But using your hack changes this... :???:

Sorry if I'm just reiterating stuff I've asked before. I just want to be absolutely sure I understand this correctly. That it wasn't a bug in the game before. That it only happens with this hack. And that it can't be fixed, because as you say, when you tried, it caused some other bug.

That's why I kept the "original" version that didn't do anything to memories. No memory of adoption with the shrub at all. :)

using the modified teleporter shrub to adopt only one parent gets the adoption memory, adopting with my mod both parents get the adoption memory :)

Ahhh. OK. whew! Someone really confused me then. Thank you for explaining that! It's the teleporter that has problems with memories, not the adoption hack. That's good, because I'm not using the teleporter anyways. So I guess I don't have to worry about that problem. :P

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear about what I was asking in the first place. I was just all confused about what I was told and what I read here, so I figure I might as well come straight to the source before jumping to conclusions.

Hi Squinge, does your Adopt a Teen hack work for adopting all ages and just allows adopting a teen also? Also do you have a NL version of your teleporter plus shrub w/memories and wants as well as the same day adoption and does your teleporter bush plus w/memories and wants work w/OFB? The last question is for my self and the previous questions are for my brother. He only has up to NL and I have OFB. Thanks!

The teen adoption hack works for all ages up to teen, the shrub works for all versions of the game, the same day adoption service is just for ep3 but I think I may have a ep2 version of it on my hard drive that I never posted I will look for it :)

I just posted new EP3 versions of this mod you can now choose the skin color of your adopted sims when they aren't from the adoption pool.

Found the conflict finally.  It was TJ's Baby wants fix. I tried downloading the file again. Moving them to different folders. Checking that yours loaded first. Checking that his loaded first. etc. They did not mesh.

I put TJ's adoption fix in and I did not experience the problems with the teen/adoption pool version of this hack. :dontknow: I don't know why linda was having problems. I have a lot of the same mods she does (but not all). ????????

Maybe for this case deleting the group.cache file located in C:/mydocuments/eagames/thesims2/ will do the trick.  It does wonder in some cases.

Deleted groups. Tested the two alone. Still errored lol.

I will try it too tonight to see if I do come up with the same problem as you linda or if I will come up with the same results as Ozzucay.

EDIT:  I just remember you are using inteen and I don't but I will still check if those 2 mods do cause a conflict in my game or not.

You are indeed MASTAH!!!  LOL.  I have been using the telescope hack for abductions which has resulted in a huge number of Alien-Human children in the families of Aradia.  Trent and Brenna now have two alien-human babies, one human baby of their own, and one more alien-human baby on the way.  I CANNOT keep track!  It's hard  for me to play two sims at a time, let alone five!  

And the two of them have no time to spend together, LOL!  Always a madhouse there!  SO glad to have the adoption mod to allow their babies to be put up for adoption!

It would be nice if Simmies didn't get pregnant nearly every single time they are abducted!  Especially since after it happens the  first time, they just can't seem to get enough of those darned aliens!
 
ANYWAY... Squinge, thanks for this!  I waited until just a few weeks ago to download any game mods and thanks to you and the brilliance of your work, I have nearly all of yours... I've never had a problem with any of them.

You know, you really ought to get paid for it all somehow... I only hope that undying devotion counts!  ;)

I have decided to pull the teleporter shrub because of errors it is causing again after the latest patch, I suggest either you play without testing cheats on or remove it from your game, because I am not supporting it any more.

For anyone who is interested and still has a copy. The older version of Inge's teleporter shrub modified by Squinge that does not include memories or wants does work without errors. This was tested in game with all EPs except FFS and all the latest patches. To help identify it, it's the version dated 5/17/06. :)

It allows you to put up children and younger for adoption (no teens, sorry). Squinge's modification of this allowed teens to be put in the adoption pool, but that is unavailable unless Squinge decides to post it again. :)

The only way is to create and put sims yourself in the adoption pool using Inge teleporter shrub which can still be found on her site http://www.simlogical.com/sl/Sims2Pages/Sims2.htm

If you do that, you will need to use the adoptionpool version of the mod.

Where does the sims come from when I use No Adoption Pool.

Its funny cause one of my sims, who has never had her teens or kids taken from her, lost her teen son to some other family.  They were in the family bin at the time.

Yes they can be used together & the game creates a new sim when you use the no adoption pool version.
