I thought of starting a thread where we can post pics of our infant babies only. It would be nice to see only the little babies here :P I only have some pics you might have seen allready but here they are anyways. Some nice baby pics will come tommorrow as well.

I love those outfits I just don`t know how to get them in my game. Have tried to delete the old ones and put in some new but I always get the white suit only

Do you only have one outfit in your Downloadsfolder? I suggest you keep the other's save in a folder completely away from your Sims 2 folder. I have all my others safely tucked away on the Desktop. Otherwise it will pick one and stick with it. Try that and get back to me, I will stick around to hear if you come right :P

I can only find the white one in my folder. Next time before I open up my game I will put in one of your creations and see if it works.
Why can`t there be more than 1 at the time?
It would be great if you could choose clothes after the baby is born, you know pink for girls and lightblue for boys:)

Each one is its own mesh and recolour in one. So if you have more than one in there, it will only pick one recolour and that one will show and not the other one. Maxis won't allow us to have more, cause what we are actually doing is putting clothes in the place of the nappy, and there is only one nappy for all four seasons.

What I do is have a unisex colour one in the downloads while the mom is pregnant and when she has the baby it is born in green or yellow. Then once I know the sex of the baby, I exit the game remember to save. Then I go into my downloadsfolder and remove the unisex outfit and replace it with a pink one for a girl and a blue one for a boy. Then when I restart the game the baby is wearing either pink or blue and not yellow or green, although in the baby's icon picture it will wear the outfit is was born in.

I also dress my babies according to seasons by exiting the game and changing the outfits in my downloads folder. That is why it is handy to have all the other outfits saved on my desktop.

Hope this helps you in some way, otherwise I will stick around some more and we can try and figure this out together  :D

Thank you Nyane, I get so proud and excited if I see people using my outfits in their games. I have had just under 3600 downloads in total on my outfits allready :D I am so excited :P I am thinking of looking at which ones are the favourites and then making one bumper edition with only those ones in there.

how did you do the baby outfit without the hat? a new Bloom's mesh?

BlooM made the mesh for me, when I asked him how I could remove the hat :D I am forever thankfull for it he is a very talented meshmaker indeed :)

I was wondering which colour unisex infant outfit would you guys download with that little bunny just like the three above outfits. I am not sure to make it either yellow or green, white is a bit hard as the bunny is white :)

I would love to have suggestions from you. Even if it is not yellow or green. I am thinking of uploading a set like the boy and girl one in unisex but don't know what colour you guys would prefer :-P

I Love babies!!! My GF is about 7 months pregnant so were reading all the baby books we can! Do you know that Babies are born with 300 bones, but by adult we have only 206 in our bodies. The reason? Some bones fuse together later.

Fat.Louie, you can only have ONE enabled.  Trust me, the game won't let you have more than one at a time... it'll do some crazy stuff with the other infant outfits if you do.  ;)

it depends on what you turn up and how good your computer is. my game is a bit slow, and I've got everything on high - but I have shadows and reflections off. I tend to take pictures all the time, and when my comp is as slow as it is, I don't have the patience to turn everything on and off. I only turn on reflections if I need it.

Thanks for the info.  My computer runs good if I turn everything up, just every so often, the visual will jump alittle after playing that way too long.  I don't use shadows, my reflections stay on, and after playing split level homes for 3 yrs., I am able to keep my objects hiding off. Now I can see what's downstairs. LOL I am still getting use to it.

It took me days to find the files that caused the problem. I could not get the infantclothes to work but now it does.

I put BlooM's new infant hair mesh into my game to look at it at a closer distance. I did not like it in the beginning but after I put it in my game I really liked it, it is so sweet and soft not at all thick like I thought it would be. So then my sims had a boy and I thought of removing the bow. What a nightmare I am so battling to get it right, if any of you had managed to get it right please let me know what you did.

wow awsome pics everyone!. I have a 2 questions tough, where do I get the recolors of the Bouncy Seat  on eclectic sims?.

Also anyone who wanna list up where they downloaded their infants clothes? I searched here but cant find thoose on everyones pics here.

I have all of the settings cranked up on my game. 100 percent everything. *My computer has recently recovered from an iTunes virus, sooo.. I'm gonna go try Sims now to see if it works. *shudder**
And as for the ACR, use the Insimenator's birth control. It works most of the time.

Thanks for the advice, Dobydog.  Most times my ACR works, but I was very shocked when my self-sim got pregnant. ACR calculates the age of the sim and brings the fertility of the sim down with age. My Neicy's was 9 days from elder and got pregnant, plus she's a knowledge sim, total egghead, so when she popped with the first trimester, I was like, WTF, where did that come from?  I let her have the little girl, and now I have fallen in love with her. Just had something like this happen in another lot. I just talked to myself "doggone it" and dealt with it. LOL!


Jessi 85, all you need is recolors to the Maxis bedding for the bouncy to get recolors. It takes the colors that you have for the crib bedding. Most of my infant clothes are from here. You can get others @ TSC2 (http://www.tsc2.co.uk/version12/index.php?page=downloadlist&cat=clothing&sub=female&sub2=infant) but you would need to get the mesh for those at MTS2.

for infant clothes, check out the link in my signature.

the bouncy seat draws its textures from the crib bedding, so there are no real recolors for only the bouncy seat.

I think she mentioned doing that through SimPE in one of the threads in the mod section.  :angel:  It's a risky move if you're not familiar with how it works, though.  :lol:  I think all you do is set the infant's life state as "toddler" and they'll start acting like one once you go back into the game.

hmm. somehow I thought so. well, if that's what she did, I dont think I will do that with my sims. but if you look away from some of the weird movements, it would've been fun to have a mod that let the infant behave like a toddler. (could've had some use of it for a story I'm planning...)

The positions of the infants in those pics are actually due the playpen you see baby Nevaeh sitting in. I can't quite remember just yet where I got that playpen but when you put infants in it they sit up then pull themselves up on the edge like toddler then lay themselves down and end up with a doll in their hand. It is cute. I just used moved objects on and pulled them out at different stages of movement for the pics. I will look and see where I got that playpen and let you know. I love it just because it does that!! I wish there were more objects that made infants act like toddlers!!

Awh Thank you very much for that! I know I have never used SimPE on my game and I'm abit wary of doing it, although what you can do with it is amazing. I just don't want it to mess up all the hard work I've done with my families..............god knows 2 crashes in the past did that!

:D But I think those sets will give me some more things for babies so thank you! I can't wait to use them. If you have anything else that allows babies to have more animations with out using Sim PE I'd b grateful if anyone can let me know!

the weird thing is that i wasnt even looking at him when he was giving birth. i wasmore preeocupied by the fire (this is so weird but for like 4 kids there was always an oven fire when they were born. but anyway)it was jus a random pause and it was the half second where the babys head was like that. how weird is that!

Yep, unfortunately they are. The only ways they can look different are by skin, eyes, eyebrows, hair colour, hair (if you download the right stuff) and outfits. It's kinda boring, really.

Sarah and her Husband Kyle and their new babies born at the same time.I forget the names as I haven't played this family in a while.Also these were shot before I learned how to use cameraman so their not close shots.Now that I can use cameraman I can get really close.I think the black baby is a girl and the white is a boy.Sarah is a family sim and she rolled the want to have a child.She got more then she bargined for as she got 2 instead of one.Her husband Kyle is also a family sim so they can help each other with both the kids.

So glad you are excited. Remember to have the baby selected and then click on the painting to select the outfit. You must have each individual baby selected when you change their outfits. Don't have a fright but you are gonna have a lot of naked babies at first when you enter the household LOL

The baby hair is a louis skintone with hair put on. Tenshii made a bunch of skintones, and you can find them if you look through the custom skintones here at insim.

You can also use the defaults Bloom made (in teen/child meshes, and in recolors, in Bloom's area)
