EP1 or greater is required to use this mod.
This mod is compatible with FFS & GLS.
5/08/06 Fixed a problem with bubbles showing around sims after they exited the pool.
6/17/06 Improved the motive stop.

**Someone at MTS2 tested this with EP2 & it worked for them, but I guess it won't work for TS2/Holiday still not sure about EP1.**

Wow!  I've always hated that they couldn't socialize while swimming.  

Am still playing my test neighbourhood (kinda got attached to my test families)....so will check this out in a clean game for ya.

I like this, maybe this will keep them in the pool longer.  Will try it tonight.

I love, but is there any way around the stopping and standing in the water to talk?

i am still trying to find a way to stop that but no luck so far.

Lol, that's fine with me. At least they can still talk! I don't usually swim and talk at the same time and I don't suppose anyone else here does either?
 
edit:Ok, I've tested this mod without any EP's and i'm afraid it doesn't work. Sor for anyone that doesn't have any EP's don't download it.

Is the standing on water fix working in your game?

Squinge again thank you for this hack.  The standing on water is fixed.  I played around with it for most of the day and it works great for me.

Great! if you notice anything else i may have missed let me know & I will try to fix it.

It works well in my game, except one thing, I don't know if this happen with OFB or this mod ( only used one house with pool since installing OFB and I don't recall what went on, was opening a business away from the sims home so I was in and out of that house a lot.).  Everyone that comes to the house goes straight to the pool and stays in  it until you call them out.            

   The Nanny will go to the pool first thing if the toddler doesn't need fed right away.  The Nanny will get out but returns in and out all day.  I like the idea that they stay in the pool longer but the attraction for vistors is like the swing set.
 
   I'm going to take the mod out tonight and see if the same thing happens.  I'm just thinking of weddings, etc. that every vistor would be in the pool that might pose a problem.  I'll let you know if there is any difference by removing the mod.

Edit:  Ok  the  thing with the sims going straight to the pool when visitng a house with a pool seem to be in the game, never notice this before OFB, but with the hack removed the visitng sim came out on her own when food was served instead of staying in and also used the bathroom, with the hack in the visitng sims stayed in the pool got out finally to leave and went to bathroom in the yard.  I don't know if I'm the only one having this problem or not.

They seem to get out of the pool in my game sometimes after talking for only a second. what I could try is to check their motives & make them get out if they have to eat or use the restroom.

Thanks, I really don't know why this is happening maybe some other hack I might have in the game, don't know for sure. I'll have a look in my hack folder and see if I have anything that might be causing this.

Thanks, I was about to give up on this one. Last time I use it (not this version)  I had to use the mind control mirror to get the visiting sims out of the pool from the night before.  Will try this one out.

I had one sim die of hunger thats when I realized that the motive stop wasn't working for some reason, if you notice any other motives that should make them stop swimming & doesn't let me know & I will update it again:)

I like this hack. I was wondering why visiting sims would swim all night, but seeing as they didn't die I never bothered about it. (although I expect they probably will die with the killable visitors hack.. I'll have to keep an eye on that!)

I also have the walk on water thing, and seeing as I play a neighborhood with a load of Naruto Characters it makes for some good screenshots ^_^

Is the walk on water fix a separate thing, or can I install the v1.1a and not worry about losing that glitch?

The walk on water fix is included in v1.1a it doesn't happen to me at all but some people without EP3 have reported that still happens to them, I am still trying to find another way to stop that for people that are still having that problem, but it's not easy because it doesn't happen to me:)

Ah, thank you for explaining that. I'll probably stick to the original version for now and just keep a close eye on any sims in the pool. ^_^

yes! my sim brother died while swimming (hack installed) I was very sad..

what about a play interaction?  now that they can talk, how bout they play marco polo or some other swimming game?  just an idea

This sounds great. My Sims seem to get out of the pool and leave as fast as they get in. Maybe some lively conversation will help.

I only have TS2 & UNI so we will see how it goes!

I just posted a new version with improved motive stop sims should no longer die in the pool for the couple of you that reported that problem.

Well, I use this hack since it has been released and never had this occur before downloading the latest version. With the v1.1c update I have bubbles in my game. Bug apparently not fixed :-)

BTW, thank you for your mods!

I was reading all about 'cause I do have the problem with swimming Sims standing on the top of the water. Something else funny also happens that when my Sims want to tell a joke to someone that is in the pool, they enter the pool too but cannot tell any jokes. Any fix for this too? :)

In fact bubbles was jettisoned directly from their :bootysha: .
Maybe was only a digestion problem.

Which ep's do you own, are you sure you only have one copy of this mod installed? That bug was in ep3 I'm not sure if it was a problem with previous EP's, that bug is fixed I used to get the bubbles all the time & now I don't :)

You may notice sims standing on the water for a second if your computer isn't very powerful, as far as sims telling a joke to someone that can't be fixed to work in the pool :)

I have all EP's (no FFS) installed. I didn't yet install the OFB patch.
I did a search in my downloads folder and can only find one 'swiNpooltalk.package'.

However, I usually play in debug mode. I noticed that apparently every time I have the "bubbles" bug I had a 'Too many iterations' error just before. This may not be related though.

I'll investigate further on this tonight so I can give you more information.

I am sure this will help but just for your information aerdehel, this new version was made with ofb patch 2 install., a new version was needed because it was not working anymore with OFB patch 2.  I don't know if it could make a differentce with the result you came with but just in case I thought I should mention it. :)

When I tested this new version I had testing cheats on but I never got that error, I have got the same error before but I can't remember what was causing it, if you figure it out please let me know :)

Thanks MissDoh for your advice. I've installed the latest OFB patch without installing nor retrieving anything else. The bubbles bug has apparently disappeared.

As long as you have at least EP1 or better install it will work.
