Title: Engagement causes crashing Post by: jubjubtheiguana on July 05, 2008, 10:28:45 am In my game, I'm trying to get my single sim and this townie married. However, whenever I try to propose to the townie, my game crashes. I've tried both surprise engagement and regular and they both cause crashing. The sims are both single, very high relationships and in love. The hacks and mods I have include insimenator and inteenimator, along with ACR. Any help would be incredibly appreciated.
Title: Engagement causes crashing Post by: Charley on July 05, 2008, 01:33:42 pm I would go to paladins place and download the HCDU, then you will be able to see if anything is conflicting. Do you have an exact list of mods that you are using? Can you marry CAS sims or does that crash as well?
Char xxx Title: Engagement causes crashing Post by: dtbronzich on July 05, 2008, 01:59:54 pm get rid of your groups cache, then pull your dowloads folder out, and put it on the desktop. Then, start the game, begin a test house with no cc, with a single sim. Have that sim interact with a townie, and propose. My guess is, that will work, if it does, it's cc. The last time I had something similar to this happen, I had downloaded a house with a "custom mailbox" which I did not notice. The cc that interferes with personal interactions are the ones with interaction menus; mailboxes, telephones, etc. that are hacked. Do as Charley suggests: go here http://www.simwardrobe.com/ and get the hack detector utility.
