This mod allows visitors to use all computers except the alienware one.
EP3 is required to use this mod.
This mod is compatible with FFS & GLS.

visitorenabledAlienwarecomputer.zip(Is a visitor enabled Alienware computer you must delete your downloaded one from maxis or they will conflict)

Because those pie menus aren't global like the maxis ones so i would have to hack that whole computer to enable it for visitors which works because I did it to the one in my game.

Simply because the alien ware was made by MaxoidMonkey when the original game was out and it was never updated by Maxis to be usable with EP1 and above.

There is an updated version over at moreawesomethanyou made by motoki in the peasantry section.

I know I never understood why they didn't update that or the urbz video game rack.

well i have the urbz video game rack in my game so that works just fine, but can you place that computer that you hacked for download to ?

I just posted it so you will have to find the one from maxis & delete it on my computer it was called aaccad1d85ca47934ec100add1c9a8c5_0002.package but the name may be different on yours..

Can't it just be deleted from within the game instead?  Or was that option disable with OFB?  I remember reading something about recolors but I wonder if it would apply to a complete new object too?

Does this make them useable on non-business lots or only lots with businesses running on them?

I don't need my home visitors using my computers. :P

It enables them for all lots.

I install this mod and on unown community lots, no Sims where using the computer.  I remove a lot of fun thing on those lot to check without success, I try it in the downtown section on the "Sim wired" lot and another one that have computers too but I cannot remember the name of the lot right now.

Is it suppose to work on unowned community lots or I am better downloading the special computer I talk above and install that instead?

EDIT:  I am not using neither "no computer abuse" nor "no autononous computer" mods.

Yes this will work on all lots, but just like any of the objects sometimes sims just won't use them.

Ok.  I will create a downtown lot tonight with only computers on it and see if they use it or not.  If I still have a problem I will let you know.  I did use the special tool in case there was a hack conflict but it mention I have none.

Just wanted to let you know that it is working fine.

I did a lot with only bathroom with shower, a few exercise machine and computers and they did use the computers.

So yes indeed, like you said, sometime they just don't feel like using those computers if there is other fun things on the lot.

Thanks it nice to hear about hacks working every once in awhile, instead of only hearing about them not working.

I am so lost following this discussion and trying to figure out which of the zip files I need.  I have the Maxis alienware computer but I also have other hacked computers that I have downloaded.  I have all of the expansion packs.  I do not have the family fun pack.  I did a complete reinstall recently, cleaned up my downloads and then put in OFB.  I haven't started my first business yet.  Sims is running smooth.  So..........which file do I download?  I have Monique's banking computer too, and does the Maxis computer really work or not?  Thank you so much for your help.

Does Squinge's Alienware have the options that Motoki added or do I need both Squinge's AND Motoki's?

Could you please list the special option there is on Motoki's one so we can compare, or give us a link to it.

Sorry Qwigqwag, I did not look at my old post in this thread. :(  I pointed it to you but I am not using it so I have no idea what comes with it.
