Warning: if you use TwoJeff's vistor controller with this they will conflict.
This mod will also conflict with noplayableshoppers
4/20/06 New Version 1.1 allows downtown townies to visit your shops.
4/29/06 I added a seperate mod that gives customers higher motives when the start visiting community lots & shops.
4/29/06 Version 1.0a Higher Motives social will now be boosted.

how about kids, you know not the baby's offcourse but the kids before they become teenagers and teenagers, i mean kids can like goto a store and buy toys cant they ?

I put that in too but didn't see any show up so I don't know if it worked or not.

I've brought kids to may business using inge's teleporting shurb and they will shop.

Have you ever seen them show up on their own?

No, I don't think so.  In fact the only time I have a kid ( on their own) on a community lot was a public Swimming Pool  and I think that was before I installed OFB.  In the base game the townies kids were always on the communities lots but that change which made me  happy they were always bugging the adults sims.  So I don't know.


Edit:  Now that I think about it the neighborhood I've been playing in doesn't have kids yet just toddlers I have rid the neighborhood of adult townies still have teenagers,  the kids townies don't come out unless you have kids.  So I'll go in my first neighborhood and check it out. (without the hack installed to see if any show up at the business on their own. I have got rid of all townies in that hood so any children would be my sims.

I've had kids appear at one of my home businesses.  They didn't buy any items, but they spent money to stay on the lot for awhile.

I've had the kids that the children always bring home from school shop at my home business.

This works great it does bring in the young adults. It did bring in the kids from my sims to shop and they did buy things.  I did turn off the young adults with the twojeffs vistor controller and that when the kids came in, but seeing that this may conflict with the Vistor Controller I'll have to let this hack go, to bad.  I can't live without the controller -zapper.

And what will happens if I use with the Visitor Controller? Both are my favourite and I had use it various time. Just wanna know if the effect is fatal to my game :D.

I don't know how bad the conflict is I don't use the visitor controller, you could always try it without saving & see what happens.

I would second the request for Downtownies to be able to visit all businesses.  I've only bought one Downtown lot and don't really want to buy any others, but it would be nice to see the Downtownies able to shop in the business neighbourhood and preferably also at home businesses.

I never noticed they couldn't shop I will see if I can locate the code & change it.

I have gotten kids at my shop.  It was hilarious.

Both of them said that it was getting late and they had to leave though.  In one case, it was definitely mid-day.  But they did get a chance to hang out a bit.

If any of you wondered about this (well I did).

YA and downtownies will appear on ALL type of community lots with this mod, not just business lot.  So adult Sims that did not go to Uni have a chance to meet those YA's when they go on downtown lots or regular community lots. :)

I did not check yet but they might appear also has passing by in front of your Sim houses.

EDIT:  It made me smile when I saw Roxie Sharpe appear on a downtown lot :)

Actualy I am testing a mod that I made to do that but I haven't finished testing it yet.

Thanks, I love this.  I'm doing lots of make-overs and this will help me get to more sims.  Good for me - but no so good for them, since I usually let them keep the bad make-overs!

have you tried my No Unwanted Stuff in Inventory & no going broke (http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=8418) mod? then you won't need the no playable shoppers.

Remember I did a request so teens would stay and appear on community lot later?  Well with this mod in they do appear, the only thing is that if they show up after 9h00pm they make it to the stair and then turn around and leave the lot.

Maybe you can trigger this one so only the teens (I don't want the kids to appear in a discotheque at 2am because right now they do appear at this hour but thankfully turn around) would appear and stay after 9pm instead of making a new mod?

EDIT:  And maybe you can also trigger this one so the townie and downtownie would appear with higher needs. :) I am pushing my luck I know lol.

It means that they wont browse for fun? Does fun boost with this hack too?

Ailias version highmotivesvisitorcomlotsver1.a will put hunger too max but not fun or social.

The comlotsmaxed one will max all needs.  I am at testing it to see if it will affect positively or negatively the customers on business lots.  If you want to join me in that testing you are welcome too :)

I saw child in my shop but he walked away shortly after. Because my lot is bordello, I thihk.

It has nothing to do with the type of business.  Kids are program to leave lots at 6pm, teens at 9pm.  With this mod in (not the one that stop making kids from appearing) the game do make the kid and teen appear on lots after these hours but after checking their age it send them back home automaticlay if it is pass the hours I mention above before they had the chance to do anything on the lot.

After testing it, I don't recommand using the HigherMotivesVisitorsComLotsMaxedv1.0a.zip one if you play the business part a lot. Since the needs of customer are all fulfill it is almost impossible to sell them something, maybe if you add a lot of mod to makes sales easier it could work otherwise don't expect to make sales.

This is great thank you so much just what I was looking for.  Is there a way though to get the kids to be able to buy clothes from the racks?  They buy other items, but every time I offer clothes nothing happens.  Thank you for all your wonderful downloads Squinge.

Thanks :) I will check into it, I didn't even know that kids couldn't buy clothes it should be easy as long as there are animations for it.

Squinge I don't think there is animation for that.  Kids were never able to buy clothes since original Sims 2.
