Title: What do you find irritating in the sims?
Post by: leandor on August 28, 2008, 08:44:56 pm
I know we all love the game and I'm constantly in awe of the beautiful items people make. (I'm still trying to cut down my cusom content but I keep seeing lovely things and the number is going the wrong way.)
However, there is one thing that bugs me, really drives me batty and I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this too.
When you have a sim in a beautiful evening gown, you look at them straight on and it looks gorgeous, then you turn them 45 degrees from the camera and all of a sudden they develop a strange distortion across the chest area. A number of my lady sims seem to have this "mono-breast" deformation! 'Tis scary! :smt104:

Is there anything that winds you up like that? Or am I the lone weirdo?

Love
Lynzi

(PS I hope this isn't considered to be an inflamatory debate type post, I just thought it might be funny)

You mean I'm the only one? Oh dear :( am I being too picky? No-one else finds it annoying?

Oh, you're far from the only one. You just need to give people a chance to answer - and brace yourself for some long replies... ;)

I could go on for a while myself, but a) I'm tired, and b) I have so many hacks in my game to stop the major annoyances, I've almost forgotten what they were  I'm just gonna mention EP-related obsessions and leave it at that for now...

Hmm...Ok where do I start?  LOL!
I find it irritating

1. that my sims will go out the front door to go to their bedroom because there is a sliding door in their room.  Somehow that triggers them to not use the interior door to get to their bedroom.

2. The whole Bully sim busting into the house to attack my sim by shoving her when she is trying to hold her baby.

2. B  My sim who has been attacked above cannot retaliate so when I click her stupid husband to kick bullies ass he wants to be friends and or flirt with him.  There is no option for defend your spouse/friend/kid or roomie.

3. The flies in dishes that have been on table or counter only a period long enough for your sims to converse at the table.

4. My female sims cannot close their legs when they sit so it looks stupid and obscene when you try to photograph them!

5. Sims have to become entranced anytime there is rain this is ok once but over and over???

6. Nanny becomes incontinent and will not care for baby.  She prepares food even if a pizza is right in front of her.

7. Fruit trees always sick unless you talk to them for hours.

8. Pregnant sims are too exausted and low motives.

9. Pizza and Chinese guy will wait at door for hours to deliver their food but will not wait to be tipped.  That's just weird.

10. Sims prepare food even when there is food already served.

11. Toddlers faces, features are disproportionate to the size of the head.  They are ok as infants but the minute they grow into toddlers their features are freakish.

12. Elders have no midlife they go from adults to one foot in the grave.

13.  If you replace one lamp in midgame every sim on the lot must rush over to look at it.  No matter what task you have them doing.

14.  One of my sims got the caught cheating on someone fear thingy even tho she was doing woohoo with her own husband because she had a crush on another sim earlier.

15. Putting infants on the floor.  It just freaks me out.

16.  Sims walking all over the front yard in their underwear in dead winter.

17.  Robot crafter makes useless small apliances that mostly malfunction and create messes.  I still don't know what the robot munchie thing does!

18.  Servo:  Robots are too emotional.  I was hoping for robot slaves not another sim to tend to but thats just me.

19.  Small appliances such as juicer and new mixer thing don't seem to be used by my sims to prepare meals and you cannot click on them to get them to work.

20.  Sims will moan and groan about a dirty house but will not try to clean it once it's really dirty just complain.

LOL!  speaking of complaining LOL!  There are so many more but that's enough for now.

I hate it how if my sim finally decides to have a shower without me telling him to that I can't give him any other instructions without him hopping out of the shower, so if I want him to keep showering and then do something else I have to click "have shower" and then the other tasks and he doesn't keep showering, no! He gets dressed and then get undressed and gets back in the shower. Why isn't there a way of "keeping" the things in the autonomised action queue?!!?

Haha I agree with everything everyone posted! This drives me crazy: My Sim will come home from work and be very tired but very hungry as well. I have them prepare a meal (so they don't die from hunger) but when they sit down to eat it they fall asleep on their plate! Then their comfort goes down very low so I them to bed...but they keep waking up because they're starving!

What's particularly driven me nuts since Seasons - or rather, since my sims started getting hit by lightning, which has been only recent strangely enough:

Their bladder and hygiene goes straight into the red, and understandably the first thing they do is race to the bathroom - bypassing the toilet and washing their hands instead. No matter how many times I direct them to use the toilet, it drops out of the queue and they go to wash their hands instead. Then they wonder why they wet themselves

I've had a sim lose control of their bladder only once before (not counting the learning curve ;)), and that was after the second time he got scared by a ghost. Was about to fix his needs after the first time before the poor guy had it again

Lol, all of the above, and the following one:

When my sims (with enough cooking skills) get hungry and they go off to prepare a meal because I haven't instructed them to - they keep making the darned lobster! That just freaks me out everytime. :D

Ah, the old Lobster obsession... I hated that one!
These days I use a no auto cook mod. That fixed it. The one I have (from SimLogical) prevents all auto-cooking, so no more Lobsters everywhere. Sims can still feed themselves if they are about to starve tho. And you can direct them to cook whatever.

ROTFL

I've been spending so long trying to sort out my downloads folder I'd forgotten about all of those things. I have thought of another though. Sometimes, when your sim goes outside on their own and you bring them in, only for them to go out again as soon as you "let go" and then their clothes get all muddled up and they start wandering round the house in their snow suit or going to the shops in their PJs. It must have caused quite a stir in Pleasantville when that happened to my sim who slept naked!

May sound weired. But apart from many things already mentioned, why can't slobs be slobs. Why do they complain about a dirty house or stink, even though I've chosen stink as a turn On for them? Makes these options pretty useless in my book.

Also I'm annoyed by the constant crybaby behaviour of any given Sim, even though they're supposed to be mean.

Newly introduced with AL, but nevertheless a major pain in the behind, the unnerving unwillignless to sign an apartment contract. Watching the accusing glare at me and the listless behaviour, I want to shout: Yes, you friggin dork, you're supposed to sign that bloody contract unless you want to make your bed near the bin.

And last but not least, the fire annoyance. Why do they have to watch thereby sometimes burning to a cinder? You can't even make them dial emergency, so that particular phone option is as valuable as a wart on the hindparts.

Ah, gotta love legacies - they remind you how much you miss the following:

1) The visitor controller. I'd forgotten how much of a PITA those Uni NPCs are - well, more to the point I hadn't, that's why I miss it so much! The llama mascot and cheerleader are fine, except their annoying urge to do that friggin' school cheer every 5 sim minutes. The professors I can ignore as they actually have the decency to ring the doorbell first - and are the only NPCs to do so. The coach can be useful for working some flab off lazy sims, but in general he belongs at boot camp, not Uni. The streakers are harmless enough, unless the sim's a prude of course... then there are the cow mascots. I really need to get a sim in the Secret Society so I can pinch a cowplant, 'cause I so want those damn mascots to get eaten. I've taken to locking the doors to keep them all out, even though it includes the nicer ones, but they still linger outside and grab you if you happen to be coming back from class. Why these goons ever got cooked up I've no idea

2) No autonomy fridge - not only do they like to fix themselves meals when they're not hungry, there's the notorious "Stuff face" that they love to do even when their hunger's still in the green. Agh!

3) No autonomous view - I'll never get what's so fascinating about these ornaments or mounted fish that they feel the urge to "view" them every few minutes ¬_¬

4) No autonomous smustle/hula/tai-chi - yep, a child sim and a stereo are a recipe for disaster >_< The hula's not so bad, even the amount of time they like to do it. The tai-chi is really getting on my nerves, they seem to do it every chance they get. Although on the plus side, they get fit and it ups some of their needs, but they don't need to do it all the time...!

5) Less pet warfare - I'd installed this in other games 'cause I was sick of strays turning up and fighting, but I'm realising there's another reason I needed it. No matter what I try, my legacy cats are always challenging, which leads to enemies, then to fights. Ugh. Why can't you scold them for hostility when they challenge each other?! To make matters worse, the pets being picked on then run off, even if they've got good relationships with other sims.

Phew. That's about the worst of them that I've had to deal with (fairly) recently. There probably will be more, but I think I've ranted enough for now

Okay what i really find annoying about Afterlife oops i mean Apartment Life,
that stupid housekeeper or whoever comes in at totally random times to "check" on you or whatever
even when your sims are in bed, sleeping or doing something else!
Also this thing that has been annoying me for a very very long time now...
The face they make when they smile, i mean really, do your eyebrows go up to your friggin hairline when you smile?
I really doubt that...
Oh yea and all the infants look identical, even though they are cute
but as someone already said when they turn into toddlers a lot of them are just plain horrible to look at!

Here are a few of my pet peeves… (aka things that I haven’t been able to find mods for)

1. Why do sims who merely have a little crush on each other kiss goodbye??? Do you french everyone of your crushes goodbye? Didn’t think so (and if your answer was yes….. lucky you  )
2. You can’t attack burglars who come to your house (I know werewolves can but I would like my normal sims to be able to)
3. In AL – The newspaper gets delivered to the side/back door instead of the front door and it drives me crazy! I have been fencing those lots without gates to prevent this….
4. When toilets start to clog continuously (I don’t mind once in a while (gives the tinkering sims something to do) but when it happens again and again).
5. Sims are almost never able to give the toddler the bottle in his hands, something is always in the way… sometimes there isn’t anything in the way and they still stomp and drop the bottle on the floor.
6. 3 tile long tables… they seem to get stuck if they use the middle seats.
7. If you queue several actions and the sim gets stuck getting around something all the actions are lost.
8. When queuing up social interactions and the intended recipient is busy finishing an action, the queue is lost.
9. This may just affect me (hack conflict mebbe?), but I can never find the “sneak out” phone option for my teens.
10. And I will second the why can’t slobs be slobs. There used to be a mod for this by crammyboy on MATY called let slobs be slobs but it hasn’t been updated in a long long time and I don’t have the guts to test it in my game  .
11. The fact that there are so few aspirations to choose from (and are somewhat unrealistic, the secondary aspirations help a bit though but still)

In my game I had to wait till midnight for the "sneak out" option to come up.

Title: Irritating behaviors
Post by: crowmgr on October 04, 2008, 05:01:27 am
1) Putting the babies on the floor
2) Bottles and diapers on the floor
3) Leaving dirty dishes and not being able to click on the dish to make a sim clean it up
4) Babies playing in the toilet
5) Going outside without proper clothes on, especially in colder seasons.
6) Unreasonable LTW's. (Thank God there is a mod for this) As it is now, 2 of my sims want to have 6 grandchildren so Pleasantview is gonna be filled with relatives of my first family I made when I started playing the game after reinstall. I found the mod to make the LTW's more reasonable just recently so things should be better now for future generations. :)

Thats all I can think of at the moment.

Teenage unable to get pregnant (without the use of the wonderful hacks of creators, especially Inteen).

Constant bed making (like anyone really cares THAT much about their bed)

Unreasonable LTW's is up there

Constant fasinaction (sp?) with weather (rain/snow).

Autonoumous cooking (though I know this can be fixed but still)

Title: What do you find irritating in the sims?
Post by: chilislavecutie on October 05, 2008, 05:59:48 pm
-I agree with the constant bed making.
I make my own bed about... twice a month.

-It also irritates me how the sims feel they have to "Watch Out!" every time they get out of their vehicles...

- I have this one particular sim that was either a DownTownie or an NPC that I made playable and every few seconds he's "primping". And I do mean every few seconds.

- I also have another sim that I made playable that feels like she can just barge into another sim's house without so much as a knock or an invite. She just walks in and makes herself at home in front of the TV. I know that this can happen if the visiting sim is a relative or a friend, but in her case, it doesn't matter. This one family had no clue who she was and she just walked in and used the toilet.

- For some reason, my toddlers won't walk even after being taught how to. They're only way of moving is by "teleport here" or if I send them to play with a toy.

- My gardener is consistently late.

There are several more, but I can't think of them all right now

About the toddler walking issue - try the updated Insim. If that's still broken, there's a thread in the support section that includes a way to fix it :)

Ditto on the bed-making - and now the brushing teeth issue. Why the hell aren't they abortable? You cross off the action while they're doing it, and they still go through the whole thing as if you let them do it

here's some that irritates me.
1.sims can be 5 feet from the damn door and yet they'll take the long route.
2.sims constantly playing kicky bag and pillow fights they act as if kicky bag is the best damn game in the world.
3.sims checking their mail and going into the farthest room of the house to only lay their friggin bills on the friggin night stand.
4.sims watching tv and then a random sim walks into the living room and turning the stereo on when the effin tv is on.
5.sims whining and crying about how they can't seem to get of the roaches serioulsy call the damn exterminator you idiot.
6.whenever a sim dude loses a fight they cry like twats  can't they just suck it up and move on.
7.no matter how hard you try you just can't seem to please those idiots just like when i place an object or something in the house they whine and cry about it. and then they whine and cry about the smoke alarm in their house that is installed seriously do they wanna live or do they wanna become barbaque?
8.i hate it when sims also whine about the flowers i place around the house.
9.when sims yell i hate that.
10.when trying to play kicky bag sims whine and gripe about the mailbox or trash can is in their way seriously wtf can i do about it?

The fact that one of my couples has now had five sons, even with rolling the dice, even with twins and even an adoption did not bring any girls.

Or how every time I want to start the game it decides that there is a conflict with emulation software the first time around but when I start again it's all peachy and dandy. EVERY SINGLE TIME.  2gah

Ditto on the bed-making - and now the brushing teeth issue.

Woah...Which EP did teeth brushing come with? I've never had a sim brush their teeth, nor did I know that was possible! I have all EP's too...Hm...How do you make them do that?

I can't stand the constant bed-making either, or the looking out the window every single time it rains, or running to see new objects. Luckily, there are hacks for the last two!

Sims walking to the back door when the front door is RIGHT THERE! Well, they get their exercise, anyhow!

I wish Mrs.Crumplebottom wasn't mean to everyone. She should be nicer to some sims or something. I think that would be interesting. I mean, seriously! Even mean old ladies are nice to some people! It bugs me that sims can't have any relationship points with her. You can't even hate her!

It's strange...In some of my 'hoods she doesn't show her face anywhere, ever, or very rarely. Then in others she's everywhere you turn! My last run-in with her was interesting...My sim, Lilly, went into a bar and sat down to play cards, Crumplebottom came in and sat down and played a game with her, and it was fine. No freaking out, or anything. Then, as Lilly was leaving, Crumplebottom chased after her and started scolding her, or whatever. But, she didn't do anything at all when they played cards. It was funny though, my sim just got in her car and drove home. I took some pretty amusing pics of her driving away with Crumplebottom in the background yelling!  ;D

The action ''brush teeth and wash your face'' is avaliable whit the object you can find in misc menu, it s a mirror basicly but you can't find it in mirrors section which is weird but you can do other things you normally do whit a simple mirror.(for Aralie) ;)
About the bugs there are so many I think. Like;
-if you have a computer in the house sim will definitly choose the ssx3 game to fulfill the fun bar which isn't the best way to do so.
-I had this problem whit the basic game, when they try to play the freakin ball game kicky something when you cancel the action, the ball disappears which is normal but it stays there as an object so sims can't get through the area clearly.
-when  a female sim kisses the male(by influence) the male reacts gay (even if he's highly attracted to her) .It would propably be normal for viceversa. ;D   and such

*Takes a deep breath* here i go:
Things you will commonly hear me complain about
1. The fact that creators sometimes KILL fat people, and make there clothes thin people only.
2. Mrs Crumplebottom is a bloody annoying hag!
3. Sims who like to congratulate you for NO reason. My sim even got congratulated while someone died!
other things
  • the game is sometimes soooo unnecessarily slow!
  • If a sim gets ticked off waiting for the sim to answer the door they walk though the frigging garage and up to where the sim is! wtf!
  • my downtown/community lots rarely have many people.
  • the sims always seem to know where you are, and always complain in your direction or just randomly look there. I DONT SEE GOD, I DONT SEE WHY THEY CAN!
  • My sims have a habit of wetting themself. My sim even ran to the toilet, sat down on the the throne then decided to get up and pee himself
  • pregnant sims have the most UGLIEST OUTFIT EVER, THE MATERNITY AND PJ'S IS JUST... OMG FASHION STATEMENT. Im a lad and even i know that doesnt work.
  • My sims have a thinking issue. they always switch the TV on, 3 seconds later they turn it off, run downstairs, turn the stereo on. Make food when there not hungry, then turn the stereo off and vice versa
  • Theres no option to define there bodyshape, unlike sims 2 and the urbz on PS2

Caps and cursing, please stop.

When a sim is low in, say, fun, and you tell them to go watch the TV, but they complain that they're bored and cancel the command.

Their fascination with the weather.
If two sims live together that hate each other, they will constantly fight all day, every day.
Random sims walking into my sims' houses and watching their TV, eating their food and using their toilet.
The nanny. All she does is cook food, and she's a horrible cook. Meanwhile, the baby has dirtied its diaper and is starving to death.
The maid. They do the unimportant jobs (making beds, cleaning things that aren't even dirty), and stand around for an hour before starting another job.
The obedience trainer. Instead of training my pets, they watch TV, use the toilet, eat or play the guitar.

The sims' obsession with musical instruments, playing SSX, new items, holding babies, etc.

How long it takes them to do stuff. Most of the time they get stuck, refuse to do it, etc.
Once a child did two things involving a bench, and they got on the stairs, put away the stairs, and then got the stairs out again.

After being robbed, the sim is furious with the robber for ages, but once the sim gets over it both the relation ship bars are 100.

Oh, thanks for that tip. I forgot about it lol :D

Another thing that annoys me. Sims kicking over trashcans. One particular sim did it every single day and the trash got smelly, and roaches appeared. So my sims had to call the exterminator a lot..

Randoms reading my sim's newspaper. Or stealing it.

It infuriates me when I am trying to get my sim to do something such as shower or cook dinner and my game starts to slow down tremendiously so I move my camera to have a look outside and theres like 3 townies outside huffing and puffing and brushing there selves off waiting for my sim to come out and greet them whereas my sim usually goes outside to tell them to get lost so she can take a friggin' shower! lol and heres another I HATE when I move a new sim or family in and my game goes slow because who is outside but none other than RON HUMBLE!! errggghhhh DIE lol I love killing him by flies and or satalite ;D also heres another I hate the fact that when you choose to call any sim in the neighborhood with the use of (Squinges phone book hack) not his fault but Maxis they seem to have thought it was a nice idea to name 20 different townies the same flippin' name like Abjheet Cho 2poke<--- Maxis lol

Trying to get my sim to call a townie on the phone. They're either at work or its 3 AM and they whine and complain.

But yet they have no problem calling my sim at 3 in the morning or decide to visit at weird hours.

And the game loves to disable the buy and build mode. And usually when that happens the house is on fire, or there's a burglar, etc. so I look around the house to see what the problem is. But its usually either because someone drove off in a car, or for no reason at all (that I can see). But 10 seconds later it's back to normal.

And Sims obsessions with stomping on roaches, and puddles of water.
And I hate it when puddles of water on grass turn into weeds. Why does it do that?

LOL! about the fire starting and the disabling of build and buy mode you just made me think of something funny I moved in one of my new aliens in to a home and the very next thing that happened after she was pelted with hail at the beginning of summer mind you is that she decided to make a grilled cheese and I stupidly forgot to put in a fire alarm because my kitchen was outfitted with halfwalls  so the phone was in the dining room only 5 steps away and I kept canceling out the fire! thought and kept clicking on the phone for her to call the fire department so she turns around attempts to go to the phone and stops and runs right back into the kitchen and starts screaming FIRE!! and she kept on doing it! like she was saying "Oh my gosh I'm not calling the fire department theres a huge fire in the kitchen ahhh!" I got soo annoyed that I made her extinguish this HUMONGIOUS fire ball blazing from the kitchen stove that had already consumed my two counters and working on my fridge lol that was pretty funny 1giggle

Oh, that is SO frustrating, when there's a fire and I'm trying to get my sim to use the phone/get away from the fire.

But of course, they decide to stand right in front of the fire screaming.

Mine is the Phone rings and your sim goes all the way to the front door to answer the phone, When they are standing at the back door.
Mind you the phones just inside the back door.

3.sims checking their mail and going into the farthest room of the house to only lay their friggin bills on the friggin night stand.

There are a few mailbox covers out that stop this by putting a shelf under the mailbox.
Like Windkeepers mission mailbox at TSR or and something like its at MTS2 but i can't find it right now...

The insiminator has the finances adjuster thing looks like a cashregister it can also be set to auto pay bills. I mintion it because if you have the insim why get another hack to do what you already have!

Heres another one I thought of today, okay you know when the Sims choose to eat a T.V. dinner? well why in the world when they throw the tray away does it turn into a garbage bag?! 1blink I mean just how long would have taken maxis to design an animation where they throw the friggin' tray away? I mean that would seem more realistic to me lol Maxis are idiots though I forgot

I find toddlers to be really irritating. I don't like their weird sleep patterns and constant need for attention.

Some people never grow out of this.

Just a few of the most irritating things to me (some I have been able to fix with mods / hacks):

- The fact that it takes way too long for Sims to do simple things (eat, go to the bathroom, etc)

- Whenever there is a baby and it needs to go to bed, everyone wants to do something else with it - even when you are making repeat commands / Whenever they put toddlers in the highchair, they just want to pull him right back out, or not let him eat the rest of his meal if they actually get him food

- Barely enough time to train toddlers to do everything unless your Sims have no life

- You invite someone over and they don't interact and all the interactions your Sims make toward them don't work (even when you "Select" them) / Your Sims stop interacting with all the other family members

- Crumplebottom, Crumplebottom, Crumplebottom... what more do I need to say...

- Leaving babies all over the place and not picking them back up

- The spying (as someone else has mentioned). I really hate how they come over and intrude into your Sims life to shove & push that person around. Whats really funny about this is the fact that most of the time, the one being spied on lives nowhere in the view of the telescope range. The Sim using it is always looking the other direction

- Sims always prefer the long and twisted route as opposed to just going straight through. WTH?

- Why Sims don't ever just automatically spray the roaches rather than trying to stomp on them is beyond me

- Those dang toddlers and their obsession with toilets!! (thank goodness for those baby gates - sorry to the creator who made 'em. I forgot who it was)

- Kids should have one place for homework. I spend so much time looking upstairs, downstairs, in the front yard, in the backyard, basement, attic... OUI!

- You rarely ever get a reimbursement from a robbery and if the burglar is amazingly there even after the police arrive, they always seem to send the whimpy cop who loses the battles to the bad guy

I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but when other Sims come and knock over your trash can. My Sims don't even have enemies, still they come by and kick it over.  I once had a mod that allowed my Sims to pick a fight with them without having to greet them, solely for the purpose of beating up those no good trash kickers.

Also, when you have your own business, Sims always want to go where they're not supposed to go - in the break room, in the employer's bathroom, office, their home. OUI...

I guess I just have irresistible shiny stuff everywhere but my own business!

Just thought of some more.

The way sims are so impatient!! If they have to wait to go down the stairs because someone else is there they flap their arms around and moan like an idiot, it drives me mad, just wait for a few seconds for gawd's sake. And if they can't do an action because they have to wait they end up cancelling it, grrr.

On a similar theme the way they flap and wave and moan if someone else is sitting at the desk using the computer, they get in a right strop about it, obviously sims never learnt to share their toys.

As someone else above said the way visitors don't interact with their hosts, I hate the ones who visit then just end up sitting on the computer browsing the web, its the height ot rudeness to visit someone else's home, not talk to them and just sit at their computer (and I'm saying this as a very shy person myself).

Again agree with what was said above about the stomping on roaches instead of spraying, but I'll add that the crying over it is just ridiculous, just get on with it, spray them and quit crying. lol.

The way the default is to throw dirty nappies (diapers to you Americans) on the floor, I'm not a clean and tidy person but even I know that is just foul, I hate the way they won't use the change station autonomosly and you always have to tell them to do it.

The way that the sims only ever think a baby is crying because it wants food, when a baby cries they never autonomosly think it might want a nappy change or social interaction, its always get the bottle from the fridge and nothing else.

Why do they always seem to serve an extra plate? And when they do, they grab yet another one and eat it (and sometimes need to go to the couch to do so)!

Or the way Sims use the phone and lay it on the floor. At least the baby you can find again.

When my sims walk all the way from the backyard, into their house, up the stairs, into the bedroom, just to make the bed! and I can't stop them.

when one of my sims' ex husband keeps bargin into the house uninvited and watchin TV and going through the fridge and stuff like he still lives there. I tried kicking him out but he comes back like a sim hour later

the fact that you need lots of friends to get a promotion.

the toddler hair options suck

the green skin that the evil witches have(thank God for modthesims2.com or I woulda never gotten rid of that)

sims waking up becuz the Tv's on

the garage can't connect to the house

Title: Re: What do you find irritating in the sims?

The garage can connect to the house if you build said house without the foundation. As for the ex coming over like he still lives there, click on the doors of the house and select the lock option that pops up, and then select allow household only. That should stop the bugger. You can also go into game play options and turn off their free will and if they decide to do something you don't want them to, you have the chance to cancel out their action by clicking on the little icon up to the left side upper portion of the screen. Good luck!

I really find it annoying when...

1. Toddlers/Babies are crying

2. My sims step on vermin and get sick because of that

3. When other sims knock over my trash can

4. My sims get fired/demoted because of the chance cards

5. The electronic appliances are broken

6. My sims with low cooking skill burns their food and starts a fire

1) When a sims farts or burps . I can't bear a lot that. It's so irritating me !!Especially when it happens a lot.
2) When sometimes you buy a brand new computer and a sims use it once,is already broken.
3) When guests get in your house, and they do what they want as they are in their own house. You can't stop them.
4) In university EP, when the students disguise cows or lamas fights themself in your house as soon as they meet themself.

And many little things I can't have in my mind at that moment....

I'd say, at least for me currently.

1. Visiting Sims that always want to water balloon fight at night. And cant take a clue, forcing me to make them leave or cuddle on a couch with one my Sims.

2. The random congradulation's of a pregnant sim. And I dont mean from different Sims. I mean from the SAME Sim's. Over and over again.

"Oh, your pregnant, congradulations" *Five minutes later* "Oh, your still pregnant, congradulations".

What the crap?, do they have the memory of a wicker basket or something?

Eh, thats all I can think of at present.

The things that irritate me about Sims 2...

How the nannies will not get the Toddlers and Infants food, refuses to change them or bathe them. Take the toddlers to a different floor in the house to where the toddler can't do anything fun. Take the baby out of the crib and set it outside or in a puddle in the bathroom. When the nanny either stuffs the baby in the fridge or kidnaps them. I hate how the Nannies seem to treat the Alien babies/toddlers/Children even worse then normal sims.

Strongly dislike the dogs ruining my flowers, digging holes in the yard and chewing everything up.

I hate it how when ever a sim comes over they will run for the computer right off. Or when they try a pillow fight/ catch and every other thing like that with you when your sims are busy.

Also hate it when your sim is taking a bath, some random jerks walks in and wants to go to the bathroom, interupts your sim and forces them out of the bathroom so they can take a long time on the toilet.

Irritated with sims constantly throwing the kids or cats in the air to the point where they keep throwing up and even after that they will continue to throw the kid/cat.

The constant congradulating is annoying. "Hey I like you, CONGRADULATIONS!"  "Hey we just woo hoo'd, congrats!" two seconds later... "Hey we woo hoo'd a couple of minutes ago... that was really great, congrats!" and two more seconds later..."Congradulations on that woo hoo we had!" It is really ridiculas!

I also find it annoying when...

1. My toddler sims play with the toilet

2.My sims complain XD

3. A sickness spreads around the whole neighborhood(That happened to my game a year ago XD)

4. My sims bring a friend with them at home when they come from work/school

5. You need friends in order to get promoted

Time management! I suppose I could slow down with the skill-building, but it's so tempting to have them have a nice day at home painting, playing chess, studying and such; but then they don't have the time to go anywhere and play.

Also, wanting to MAKE STUFF! On my MAC!

Thirdly, not being able to figure out how that 'design tool' on the dashboard works.

The big one, though, happened just the other evening. As kind of a goof I made up a family of Sims who resemble my colleagues at work (there is a themed set out there that is literally a mock-up of the company I work for - when I found it we all checked it out and were amazed at the detail in the various pieces) - well, it seems that checking the 'autonomy' box has caused my semi-independent 'Me' Sim to start up a relationship with the Sim resembling the colleague I spent the better part of two years not being able to stand. We're on friendly terms these days, but it's still... quite creepy.

I'm trying to decide whether to kill off the family and start over, making them all siblings, which I should have done in the first place.

I find it annoying when a child sim gets an A on their report card, then they run to their parents and wave it around and cheer, but the parents are sleeping and like, two hours later, the parents wake up and cheer. I always think, "The excitement's passed. You guys are mad late!" I guess it's not really that bad, but it's always annoyed me.

What really gets me at times, is how sims always have to turn the radio on, in any room, at any time, and sometimes in several rooms at once.

I was playing a few minutes ago, my adult sim walked into the room where all 3 of her kids were sleeping, at 3am, and turned the radio on!!! Woke them all up, stupid...

I hate it when...

1. No matter how serious or grouchy or just UN-FUN some of my sims are, they will go to lengths and do the silliest things :\ Like pulling Ventrilo-farts or water ballooning INSIDE the house D:<
2. When the nannies do nothing more than leaving my toddlers outside of their designated play area, how they have to bathe them 20 times and yet, never once feed them a bottle DX
3. When random townie Sims start fighting with other sims in the owned business shops D:< Worse, when they fight with the owner of the business and makes it hard for my sim to make a sale without her crying after every poke, slap, shove and insulting.
4. When EVERYONE in the house makes a run for the electric guitars and play it all day and all night.
5. When just moving into a house, my Sims will all go and rush to the nearest computer and play SSX, even though they should be looking for a job DX

when my sims get the Want to Become best friends or to flirt with themselves, seriously how am i suppose to give them that!

Toddlers keep wondering into the parents room when they are woohooing and the toddler keeps waiting for attention, i then have to make the toddler leave and lock the door.

When sims are cooking and they keep leaving the stove to kiss or flirt with another sim, then they burn their food.

When the neighbors wont leave!! they keep spending the night in the hot-tub.

When party guests keep raiding the fridge. Ive resorted to turning the fridge around against the wall and maxing everyone's motives.

When my two married sims scream and freak out at each other when they see each other naked. Seriously you're married!

When I first started playing, one of my biggest irritations was the toddlers always playing in the toilet but for some reason I haven't had that problem in ages IDK if it's cuz of an expansion pack or I unintentionally downloaded custom content that disabled it but not once in about a year have I seen my toddlers go anywhere near the toilet

Another pet peeve that I still currently have is that damn salsa music that cuts on every time my sim turns on the stereo(granted, half the time they turn the stereo on for no reason, another little pet peeve of mine)

The Radio thing won't stop    The other day I had a Party DJ Sim drive home at 4am in her Escalade, and as soon as she got out she turned the bedroom radio on, where her husband was sleeping... Then he was too high energy to go back to bed, and by the time he was ready to go to work (as a surgeon) his motives were all low as I'd spent all night trying to keep them high!

which brings me to my next annoyance. Lol I can't stand when my sims just stand around and do nothing, even with free will turned on. OMG my sims ALWAYS turn on the radio to the Salsa station, which is, in my opinion, the worst one (no offense to the people who like it). I mean, it's fine if they listen to the radio, but if they could just pick another station that'd be nice.
