Title: Witchy-Poo Post by: J00wish on September 02, 2008, 01:17:37 pm I have yet to install this game, but the box is sitting on my desk and inching closer to me. Has anyone played a witch yet? Were you a good witch or bad? Did you think it was worth the hype? I'd love to hear about your sims!

It was worth the hype. My 2 witches are sisters and one is good and one is bad...but I cant change their robes and it ticks me off.

Kind of like the good girl/boy gone bad. The original robes are retained and they get the new robes. Once that happens there should be no problem changing robes.

Favourite pastimes seem to be making random sims cluck like a chicken, setting random fires, and making other sims that anger her fat. :D She also irritates everyone by littering lots of cockroaches and fierce lightening storms. Other sims have reacted to her with fear and dread, wringing of the hands and things. Currently at this very moment she is making an evil lamp with her cauldron. I never cast any spells on those women to get them into my bed! There was no coersion at all. I don't know anything about this witchery stuff. I don't have any clue how these women just poofed into my apartment. I never used the phone to call any of them!

I've had the father (baddie) cast a few spells on some random victims...er...neighbors :D. Mom (goodie) has spent her time casting naturey type spells. It's fun, but I was frustrated yesterday when I couldn't change them out of their clothes. They were not walking around like that throughout the entire game! Whatever happened fixed itself though. Looking at them now, they look like your typical Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sim.

I looked through them all in Belladonna Cove at least. You have to find them. It's not hard from what I've read. I haven't gone looking for them yet though. Just go to a community lot for a bit, they're bound to pop up :)

Title: Witchy-Poo Post by: dragon_tfm on September 04, 2008, 07:48:18 pm when i got lilith turned she had to go to a community lot for a good full day and into teh night until finally the evil witched showed up..although im would liek to know what is the relationship supposed to be to get turned because apparently lilith is a freak and didnt even have to greet the witch before she had the option to get turned it was there straight away

An then you ask them to teach you to be a witch...An then you have to buy the book from them an all the other stuff too...:) indeed indeed But the witches that aren't the HighWitches can also witch people up After a certain point of magical ability, a witch has a new spell that enables her to turn another sim into a witch/warlock, but said sim can't ask them to be turned into a witch And if you materielize to much, your sim ends up falling out of the sky next time they try to do it:) The best spell i'd say is the one to freeze time, epsically on comminuty lots, its really cool. But if your witch tries to summon a sim on a frozen time lot, their wands go wonky and they can't do it EAxis did add some fun features. did you know that if your sim is a good witch or warlock you get a good memory but if your sim is an evil witch or warlock you get a bad memory. A rather pleasant surprise.
The Business Perk which gives you access to every Sim in town, including NPC's, is very helpful for making initial contact with the NPC witches by phone. Unfortunately I had to give them all Witchbegon cause all they did was drive me freakin nuts with all that annoying noise they love to make every 5 seconds. "Yibby" "Weee" and them cackles from the evil witches. It's bad when you have to tell them to shut up already!!

I had so many problems I had to uninstall and reinstall and I'm still having problems. The butler is not as cool as I thought it would be and I don't even use apartments except to get people to know each other and then I move them out. And witches aren't as fun as I had hoped but hopefully some good mods and hacks will be coming soon.
