This mod replaces the elder nanny with a female teen, adult or young adult nanny depending on which version you download.
 
Note: all of the filenames are TeenNanny.package I did that so nobody will use more then one version of this mod.

Thanks for the age fix for the babysitters.

I have always wondered why boys, males can't be babysitters.
I used to be one when I was younger and I am still doing it occationally now when I'm an adult.

Relatives like granparents, aunts / uncles and cousins should be possible to invite over to babysit.
I wonder why EAxis didn't make it so.

So do I. What I usually do is transform one of the old nannies in a younger woman with the sim modder then change this lady in a young man with SimPE or SimEnhancer. Works perfectly.

This mod will spare me the use of the sim modder. Thank you for that Squinge :rabbit:

OMG!  Thank you!  I am so sick of senile baby sitters!  It never made sense for elders to be baby sitters their needs are always so messed up.  I also have some kind of weirdness in my game where they try to take the babies wonder if this will correct it?

Just so I know I have this clear. If I were to install this mod for teens and then kill off only ONE of the nannies, let the game regenerate the teen nanny version, then close the game, install the adult version, kill off another nanny and have the game regenerate an adult nanny, could I in this way end up with a nanny of each life stage? I guess what I mean is that once they are regenerated by the game would it work to change mods to that we can have one of a different age group? I really hope I'm being clear.

Either way, thank you so much! I never would have thought of this and its really going to add something to my game.

Ok i've killed off two nannies and old ladies/nannies keep showing up the next day.  Am I doing something wrong?

I put this in my game, the Adult version. And I killed off one old nanny. Now my sim families have this gorgeous nanny. It is fabulous! Also it is worth noting that in my opinion the adult nanny is doing a much better job of taking care of the children. Now I actually enjoy hiring a nanny!!! Squinge you are so totally awesome, making my sim dreams come true.

Chaavik, I just saw the "You will have to kill off the old nannies" message. How do I do that, and are these nannies any smarter/better than the Maxis nannies?

There are many ways to kill off the existing nannies within the game or with SimPE. I seemed to misplace the instructions for killing off the nannies using SimPE. The thread doesn't appear to be complete, but I will add the instructions later.

As for killing off the nannies in the game using different ways, you need to hire each existing nanny to come over and kill each one off. You can set them on fire, drown them, use Pescado's Batman to smite them. Lots of different things to do. Whatever means you use to kill them off.

Are any of these nannies smarter than the existing ones? No, they use the same nanny template as the existing ones did. They do their nanny jobs and leave just like the old ones did. If you want better logic in childcare, try Pescado's Automated Baby Controller (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,2385.0.html) along with the Nanny Lobotomy feature on the same mod to make sure they do their jobs appropriately. But to make this more effective, you will still want to kill off the existing nannies after you install Pescado's Automated Baby Controller mod (if you choose to) and get new ones the way you want them to be.

i hated those nannies (always peeing on themselves.. :rolleyes:) i tried changing the nannies myself with simpe... and it was so much trouble.. and at the end of the day, the nanny wouldn't leave and the nanny car kept pulling up to the house every 10 seconds.

this worked perfectly! (and i only have university & seasons!) 

If I wanted all three ages like the above poster suggests am I deleting each version of the mod after the first generation/arrival?  i.e., am I ending up with the last version of the mod that I install still in the file or am I keeping(restoring to the folder) all 3 versions of the mod after the individual nannies (one of each age) have been created successfully?

I hope I didn't put that in a confusing manner.

You can't have all three mods installed. You have to choose which one you want: teen, young adult or adult.

In a word, lobonanny.

A nanny created after lobonanny has been installed will sit quietly on the couch watching the Yummy Channel until the kids ask for something or the Baby Controller forces her to do something.

The Baby Controller doesn't like custom content (or even the newer Maxis baby items), so I only use it in houses with infants.  My toddlers are pretty self sufficient and will ask for food, clean diapers, etc.

Hehe, thanks for pointing me to that hack, which I wasn't even aware of.  *goes to kill off her stupid nannies*  >:D

Edit: Since I'm currently playing Strangetown, I thought who better to kill them off than Olive Specter? *mwahahaha*

Previously, I was having some problems with my nannies freezing and having to constantly reset them or force errors to get them to work properly. Now, I am having some trouble uninstalling this mod. I deleted the .package file from my downloads folder. But now, whenever I try to hire a nanny, I cannot get a normal elder nanny, as before. The nanny van arrives at my lot and becomes stuck there, with the YA nanny sitting in the front seat. I looked through the zip folder for instructions on how to uninstall, but I don't see any there. Could you please instruct me how to safely uninstall this mod?

Since you can make multiple nannies with this mod, I'd assume that the mod only affects nanny creation, not how they act afterward.  Since you're the only one with this problem, I suspect that  you've got another nanny mod causing problems.

Things you can test: (You can stop once the nanny doesn't get stuck.)
1) In the neighborhood with the custom nanny, play a house that uses the elderly nanny, if you still have one.  Does she get stuck in her car too? 
2) Back up the neighborhood.  Kill off the custom nannies.  Hire a new one, who should be elderly.  Does she get stuck in her car too?
3) In an empty neighborhood, make a CAS family with a toddler.  Hire a nanny.  Does she get stuck in her car too?
4) Navigate to My Documents/EA Games/.  Rename The Sims 2 to something else.  Run the game.  Repeat step 3.  When finished, delete the new The Sims 2 and rename your old file back to The Sims 2.

If the nanny gets stuck in step 4, your games files have been corrupted and you need to reinstall.  Sorry!
If the nanny isn't stuck in step 4 but is in step 3, you've got another nanny affecting hack.  Try HCDU or a binary-divide-and-conquer.
If the nanny isn't stuck in step 3 but is in step 2, something in your neighborhood is corrupt.  There are several candidates, but I'm not sure what to recommend.
Step 1 and step 2 should have the same results (stuck or not stuck).  If not stuck, you're done; your game is fixed.
