I can post an alternate version but they only hula for about 5 sim minutes then stop.

It will be nice if I can get ther other one working for movie making.

They now dance as long as you want them to just have them do something else to stop them from dancing.
 
 
I just added a new pie menu option to punch air so it looks like the sims are fighting for movie making.

Weel, for movie-makers this seems very good.
I have a request, if possible.
Noticed, as you said, that to stop them to do the action the only way is to queue another different action.
Is possible to stop also cancelling the own queue?

(btw, the mouse-pop-message on the queue teels something as "procrastinate" or so)

BIG NOTE:
OFB introduces a new issue. On all non resident or non family sims you make selectable (e.g. using Insimenator), is IMPOSSIBLE to do many of actions you can order to the "normal" sims.
For example, all romantic interactions, all cooking interactions and so on.
I think this is a maxis bug (or intentional issue), not due to our hacks installed.

Ohh, If you are looking for more ideas for this mod to add to it I have one. You could put the pray thing on it. It comes from when you plead for loved one form the grim reaper. I think that would be cool to have for this movie I was starting to do.

This hack rocks. Especially if you've cleaned up the menu. What have you done? Made a choice-thingy with "Hula", "Roundhouse" and "Punch Air" one level down? Neat-o if you have... and if you haven't, I think you ought to. :p

May I ask... could you puh-leeeeaase maybe add in "Check Self Out"(for all ages, not just Teens). If sims could do THAT animation anywhere, not just in front of a mirror, it would be soooo handy for taking photos, don't you think? :D Having them pose like that in front of a camera. Wicked, eh?

Jase has already made a check self out for adults but I don't have the link, and when I cleaned up the pie menus I put all of them under sub categories fight & dance.

True, Jase made a Hack that does allow Adult Sims to Check themselves out, but they only do it as an interaction with a mirror. I figured it might be cool if they could do it with a "self-click" like the other anims you've brought up here. Checking themselves in a mirror is groovy and all, but it makes snapping with a camera quite difficult. Unless you use "MoveObjects on" and reposition the sim of course, but that's kind of difficult on Community Lots.

Also, I found that Jase's hack didn't work for me. Wondered if it might be an OfB issue. :(

Oh well. Nay bother.

I don't think it's an ofb issue it works great in my game, & I will add those animations to the next version now that I know what you meant.

Not to go off on a tangent but . . .

You can get around that by using InSimenator 2.2 . . .  I have it because I can't stand that you can't make visiting Sims do the stuff they could do before when you made them selectable.  However, I guess if you do the OFB business thing there are issues with this older version and customer/worker behavior.  So I guess it depends on what you want more.  Personally, I haven't even done anything with the business side of OFB yet so . . .  I have 2.3 for if I feel like doing anything with it, so I can just switch it out.

But anyways . . .  thanks Squinge for this great hack!  :^D  I love all the new interactions!  Especially the plead and hula dance ones.

just mentioning, you said this works for young adults, adults and elders, but when i tested it out with my game, and i found out this works for teens as well... i dunno if it has something to do with inteenimator installed in my game but it is WAY more awsome that teens have this too... will it be available for kids too sometime?

that is by design I just forgot to mention teens in the description:) some of the options are available for children like moose ears, peace and the fire reactions.

If you need more ideas for this I have one. It is a dance. Its is that enterain break dance dance. I have always wanted it so that I could make my sims do it at one time but was always off. It dosen't even come up in my game anymore too. That is also why I would like it if you could add it to this wonderful mod.

I wonder if maybe you are using some older hacks that don't work with newer ep's if you are having a problem with that as well as the other problems you mentioned:)

You know what I never thought of that. I haven't got rid of any hacks since University. I guess I will have to ga back to where I got the hacks from and see if they are OFB compatable( how ever you spell it).

It works with Uni and NL as well.

I downloaded this  the other day and now sims has messed up...they won't move or interact with anything!I cant seem to find it to delete it either...Can you tell me how to fix it.

Just delete the file "HulaDance.package"

I tried that..It couldn't find it...I've fixed it now though.

Is the italian translation package already updated?

Squinge, I don't think you have any idea how valuable this hack is to movie makers! I won't be able to live without it! LOL

Question: Are you planning on adding the other dance animations and if so, when?  I'd be forever in your dept if you could add more.  I might be wrong but I think you only added the 'dance together' animations?  There are some other ones too from 'dance solo' :-D

Sorry for being so persistent but I was working on a movie last year and had to stop working on it because I couldn't get my sims to dance in sync.  But now I can! Btw, someone on another forum said this was impossible.  Boy am I going to rub this hack in their faces lmao

I just posted a TS2 Version of this mod for people that don't own EP1 or greater there are no child enabled animations in the TS2 version they wouldn't work when I tested it.

New Version 1.02 I added all of the poses listed below they are all child enabled:
Shopping Bag Pose, Electrocuted, Belch, Fart, and Enabled Cheer Woohoo for children.
 
I also reorganized some of the pie menus there is new category animations.
 
For those of you that don't recognize the sim in the electrocuted screenshot, She is the very helpful MissDoh who answers %99 of the questions posted here, she may electrocute me now that I told you, :laugh:

I think that would be too confusing having every pose & animation under one pie menu, I wouldn't like it myself anyway, if you know how to use SimPE you may change the menus anyway you like.

I've been able to make some very cute poses with this hack, like this one:

This is not an animation in the game, but its like a little mini *custom* animation. First, i made my sim pose with the shopping bag. Then, i took the bag out of her hand using moveobjects on. Then, i made her do a differant pose and put the bag in her hand. It stays in her hand through all your added poses and reactions, making the one-arm on hip pose out of the "hands on hips" pose and this : http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b308/lilguccigirlxx/shopping.png from the hula pose.

I also like how that now you can just cancel the animations by clicking "cancel" instead of having to do a different action.

I don't seem to be getting all those poses for some odd reason. I have two new ones, two squat poses. I looked all over and can't find some I see on the front page here in the pictures :sad5:

EDIT: What is the Watch loop? I don't have that either.

If you are using the TS2 version it doesn't have all of those options, also some options only appear if you own the EP that those animations came with.

say, i saw a few poses in various pics like hands above head and more model poses, can anyone list what all those poses are called in the pop up menu?

Can anyone help me figure out how to get a couple together when using the couples poses?  I can get them each into their half of the pose, but if you try to move them manually, they go by default into separate squares (if you put them in the same square, one sim will go sideways across the other).  I've also tried placing one sim first, and then having the second walk over as close as I can get him to the first, but either he just stomps his feet or it doesn't end up being close enough.  

Has anyone had been able to position these poses properly?

Did you try using "boolprop snapobjectstogrid false" because that also helps too.

I just fixed a minor bug there was an extra animation for die of sickness, I noticed it while adding new animations for the next version.

One problem with the June 29th update:
It says "All options are now under Hula Dance and more", (Which is a totally awesome addition so all those animations aren't clogging up the screen.) but it doesn't seem to be working for me. Everything is still there when I click on the selected sim. I deleted the old version and re-downloaded it, but the "hula dance and more..." menu still won't show up.

They show up under Hula & More if it's not showing you may have downloaded the wrong file or have more than one copy of this mod installed, how are the options showing in your game?

I have got private messages from a few people saying the new version isn't working, please read the mod description you will not get all of the new animations or poses if you do not own the required EP that those animations or poses came with, most of the new poses in last version I posted require EP2 if you don't own EP2 those options will not appear.

Firstly i'd like to say this is THE best download for story writing and a big thankyou to you.

I downloaded all the files about 2 days ago 3rd or 4th of July and have every expansion pack and only one hack (toddler mirror-i think that's the only one) but only a few things show up in the pie menu, hula dance is only that, have a few others but i don't have dance rave, any of the bunch with smell finger, none of the couple poses and basically anything after that. I did read through every single page here (maybe i missed something) and clicked on you're help link and still don't know the answer. Could someone help me with this?

You only need one file. If you installed all of them at once, that may be why you are having trouble. You only need version 1.05a. :)

Click on the active sim. The pie menu should have "Hula & More..." if you have installed it correctly.

I just downloaded this. The previous versions have always worked fine for me in the past. However, with this current version the menu does not show up and my game crashed. This is the only hack I have installed since I last played, when my game was working fine. I have all EPs.

Did you take this out to make sure the game worked properly?

How do you get it to work? :/

I.e. How do you get all of the actions to appear?

Hopefully you've put the package file in the downloads folder. Which actions appear on the menu depends on which EPs you have installed.

The kids poses and photo booth poses are already in this mod. There is a separate mod for the toddler poses. Friendly reminder, read the descriptions and search. Search is your friend. :)

Ok, where are all the photobooth poses? All I can find is the vampire ones, and the goofy ones. Are the normal poses included? Or am I completely missing them?

Oh, one more thing. I was wondering if it is possible to add the poses from the sim portraits. You know, the thumbnails you click to select the active sim.

The only photobooth poses are the vampire and the goofy ones. Squinge hasn't added the normal poses (yet). He might add the poses from the thumbnail portraits if he can find the code for them.

The normal photobooth poses were what I was asking about in the first place. When you said they were already in there, I got confused.

What expansion packs do you have?

If by that you mean you downloaded all the files on the first page, then that is the problem. You only need one of the files depending on which expansion packs you own. Version 1.06 is the English version for all expansion packs through Open for Business/Family Fun Stuff.

You downloaded the wrong file that is for TS2 only, you need "HulaDance&More1.07.zip"

Squinge, old thing...

Next time you're doing an update of this mod with more anims, do you think you might be able to add the "machine gun" animation?

It's one of the gestures that very occasionally shows up when sims chat. Know the one I mean?

It's also very similar to the anim the Repo Man does when he fires his, er, suction gun.

In fact, if that one's easier to find, then fair enough. Lol.

You see, VampCat's made some gorgeous Meshes of guns, and one of the users on MTS2(to my shame, I forget who) has made a painting which magically places the gun(s) in the sims' hands from out of thin air, so if "Hula" could enable the "rat-a-tat" animation(either the "chat" one or the "Repo"), that would be ultra-awesome for films, photos and general storytelling...

...don't you reckon? :)

Hey this mod is very handy. but i just wanted to say that when I have the inteenimater and the hula+more for TS2 hack they conflict each other. the hula+more hack for TS2 overrides it. I just thought i'd let you know for the future.

I love this mod!!! It’s so funny to be able to stick 2 sims in front of each other & let them throw punches at each other without a big dust cloud obscuring every thing. Violence in the Sims2? Oh my!

Just one suggestion if you want to throw this one in in a future update. I downloaded the one for the base game, as I have no EPs. I was just trying to think of any other animations that would be good for story telling & thought of the “worry” animation & the “cry” animation. I don’t think I saw them in there any where. Just more of a suggestion than a request. Thanks again! You’ve made the game much more enjoyable!!!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot  … that fall asleep on the floor animation would probably be a good one also. You know, after they get done throwing punches at each other, you could click “fall asleep” or “pass out” on one of them, & it would be like he got knocked out. Cool!

That is for people that are Italian.

There are different version of this mods depending on which ep you have, download the one for the latest ep you have install.

So if you only have TS2 install with no ep, you need the TS2 version.

If you have at least one EP install then you need the 1.07 version.

The SimCri version are the same, they are just translated in Italian.

Hi, i absolutely love the mod. It's fantastic for storytelling. :) But i realized that i can't use the animation simultaneously with other actions like eg. smile and walk at the same time. Is that possible?

god you have no idea how much i rely on this mod. <3 thank you for making it. its my favorite of yours thus far.

I am probably dumb, but i do not understand how to use this hack, i can't see any menu (i don't have pets). But i can see when they start dancing they do some hula movements, but no new menu pop up when i click on the sim.

When you downloaded the hack, did you uncompress it and put it in your Downloads folder?

Squinge...you are THE MAN...I have a few of your mods in my game and they really help out. If you ever decide to make THE SIMS 3 all by yourself...I'll buy it. lol

I have a bit of a problem.

I tried to delete this hack a while ago, but rather than deleting the whole file as I now know you should I just deleted the contents. Now it won't allow me to delete the empty folder left over, move it or edit it in any way. I still have a few options left over in game but I can't install the latest version, it won't work.

It's entirely my fault, I was just wandering if anyone knows how I could posibbly fix this? Because I miss this hack :sad3:

No the hula dance only works for teens & older sims.

No kids can do other animations with this mod but the hula dance only has adult animations.

I have a problem with this mod. I had the previous one (which worked well) and deleted it to install the newest version (I have all EPs and SPs) but the menu doesn't show up when I click on my sim, even after starting the game again...

EDIT: it's ok now, it has been resolved by itself after I started the game again 4 times. But something strange is that the menu only comes (for the first time) when the sim is moving its body (dancing, becoming more fit, etc...)
Anyway, now it works and it's the important thing. I hope my experience will help others ;)

There's something else: I can't make my sims do the couple interactions correctly, even when I move them with cheatcodes ("moveObjects on" and "allow 45DegreeAngleOfRotation"), at best it gives that:

Are you sure you removed all the previous versions of this mod?

yes, I only had the previous one, it was easy to delete it since it had its own folder. But I already had the second problem with the previous version

If you are using a cheat code for that pose I'm not sure, maybe someone else that uses this mod can help you :)

I'm not using cheatcodes at first, it's just that I tried them to move my sims afterwards, to see if it worked. But there has been no changing. And of course I can't see the interest if they are both posing "in couple" but in different rooms of the lot (Couple Sim A in the bathroom and Couple Sim B in the kitchen [that's only an example])

Sims can't join a sim to do a couple pose, you have to use a cheat code for that & sorry but I haven't tried that so maybe someone else can help you with that :D

You need snapObjectsToGrid off (I think that's what you type, but you get the idea ;)).

Very good :D It's compatible with Seasons, i really look forward to Seasons, that EP have i been waiting for.

Most of my downloaded objects are missing, I think only recolors of Maxis objects remained. All my custom careers and such are also gone, including the Hula mod, but all of my downloaded clothing is still there, as well as recolors of Maxis objects, so I know that custom content isn't disabled...

I had this as well... the recolors of maxis objects were there dispite custom content being disabled. Please check that it is enabled.

I checked and it wasn't enabled after all. I definitely checked the "enable" box this time, but everything was the same when I got into a lot. No custom objects, and no Hula Dance option. :(

When you enable custom content, you have to exit the game and reload for the cc to show up. It's just one of the many nitpicky things with the game. :)

Why not introduce yourself in the Inrtoductions area and tell people a little about yourself?

If you were asking if the mod is available in languages other than English, as far as I know there is just the Spanish version as an alternative.

That is correct the shower animations are already available :D

When you click on your sim, an option should appear in your pie menu reading "Hula and More..." The poses are all in there.
