**In order for the above to work, you need to use Shift+Ctrl+C to open the cheat window and then type 'boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true' without the quotes. Then press Enter. When you're done spawning the Semester Tester, you can open the cheat window again and type 'boolProp testingCheatsEnabled false' to turn the testing cheat off.**
 
With Notepad, you can add 'boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true' to your userStartup file found in the Config folder at the following location:
 
C:\Documents and Settings\**Username**\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Config
 
The above method is only for those people who know what they're doing. Not for the faint of the heart or new Sims 2 players.
 
The Semester Tester helps advance your Young Adult's college clock by running down to 0 hours and enabling them to go to class and finals on their own like they were living at the dorm.

What's New:
 
Teen To Young Adult No College EP8 was a new replacement mod for the older mod, Teen To Young Adult No College EP5 (Seasons), with both residential and apartment lots in mind to enable teens to grow up into Young Adults and remain at home with their families and go to college at the same time.
 
YA Birthday Cake has a new option to enable teens to Age to Young Adult on top of two existing options: Age to Adult and Take Finals Now. The mod also gives a Went to College memory to teens growing up into Young Adults as well as a Grew Up Well memory.
 
 
What's Old:
 
No Memory Uneducated is a mod to prevent Sims from getting the negative Never Went To College memories when they age to adults without going to college as well as the uneducated memories. Not sure what the wording is for that memory. But nevertheless, Sims won't get negative memories from not going to college.
 
No Want Satisfy Uneducated is a mod to prevent Sims from fulfilling their Be Uneducated fears of not going to college and grow up into adults. This also keeps Sims from going into crying and depression fits.
 
College Interactions On Any Lot is an existing mod to enable Young Adults to perform their college tasks: write term papers on their computers, write their class assignments and do college research from their bookcases at their homes or anywhere else.
 
 
 
Not Compatible With:
 
Squinge's No Autonomous Research & Assignment mod conflicts with College Interactions On Any Lot and will prevent Young Adults from performing their college tasks at their homes or anywhere else.
 
Pescado's College Rampage on Macrotastics will not work on these lots if Young Adults remain at their homes.
 
TJ's Stinky Dormie Fix will conflict with the CollegeInteractionsOnAnyLot. Remove the Stinky Dormie Fix mod if you want to use the CollegeInteractionsOnAnyLot mod for the college options to appear on your YAs at their home lots.
 
 
 
How To Install:
 
For XP users, install all of the mods into the Downloads folder or the subfolder in the following location:

How To Play:
 
Basically, what you do to age teens to Young Adults is to go into Buy Mode and buy the cake. Place it on any counter or table. Direct your teen to the cake and select Age To Young Adult. The teen will then age into a Young Adult and get a new UI panel showing the Freshman first semester. The Sim's clock does not start. You need to use the Semester Tester to Start Class. Then the Young Adult's clock will run down from 72 hours to 0 hours as if he/she is on the dorm lot. Play your Young Adult through college and when you're ready to age your Sim after graduating from college, buy the cake again and use the Age To Adult option.
 
When you do return to your Young Adult's home lot, you will find that you have to Start Class again on the Semester Tester to continue counting down your Young Adult's college clock.

Just a note on the College Isn't Free project.

Tuition, Room and Board works fine with the Mega College Pack after some last minute changes.  YAs will be charged tuition whether they attend college classes or not.

Teen Jobs for YA appears to have mixed results at the moment.  Chaavik reported no problems using it, but in testing TRB, my sim lost her job aging to YA and was unable to get another.  Be looking for a new version of this that is consistent :P

EDIT:

The only reason I had no issue with Teen Jobs For YA was because I don't have the tuition mod. My YA was able to retain her teen job when she grew up into a YA on a home lot.

I was using this mod for a long time, I think I found it around the time OFB came out... but i could be wrong... I'm old and so is my memory...

I was using this mod until i installed BV and sent one of my YA's off for a vacation on twikki... when he got to there he had aged up to adult

I was so disappointed to have to give up on this mod because of that aging issue, I'd like to be able to send my YA's for a mid term vacation but I don't want them to become adults when they get to their hotels.

Has anybody else had this happen? Is it just a glitch in my game? Can i send my YA's on a vacation now?

I'm also concerned about sending them to a hobby lot, wondering if the same thing may happen because the hobby lots are sort of in a subhood.

This set of college mods are NOT compatible with Bon Voyage.

Use the TeenToYANoCollege EP5 from Seasons and the rest of the mods from before Seasons.

If you have FreeTime as your latest EP, then go to EP7 and download the FreeTime version of the Mega College Pack with their own updated mods for FT.

The reason i'm asking about this in this thread is because AL is the latest EP i have... if FT was my latest EP then i would have posted my question in that thread...

My question is... If i send one of my YA's to a subhood, will they age up to adult when they arrive there? That has happened before with older versions of this mod and i'm wondering if that issue has been fixed???

So... this mod will only work with the game as long as BV isn't installed??? I'm confused..

This mod is for AL but if you have BV & AL you can use it.

I had up to three YAs on a test lot at one time when I was testing to make sure the mods for FT were working properly. It is not easy managing 3 YAs. And yes, you have to spawn a Semester Tester for each YA you have, and make sure they're positioned in a way you can remember which Semester Tester belongs to who. Like if they each have their own room, their Semester Testers can be put in there for easier tracking of whose they belonged to.

Actually I had the exact same thing as Scratch mentioned happen yesterday. I haven't played a vacation hood in a long time and decided to send some YAs over to get give it look and when they arrived they had all aged up. I sent them home to see what would happen and they arrived back at their dorm as adults. Also all their wardrobes had changed to whole bunch of EA stuff and all  4 had the exact same collection. There was also some strange person in the cab with them when they arrived, don't know where she came from. (bizarre but interesting)

I wouldn't have of thought this mod caused the conflict but when I saw the other post I thought... hmmm, I wonder.

Just so you know I also have Inge's UniBreak installed. Although I didn't use it this time, it's there.

Is it possible there is some conflict happening? And ya I'm playing AL.

Today, Ancient Highway posted a series of college-related mods called YA Pregnancy and Marriage - Apartment Life. Was temporarily called University Families at one point.

This is NOT Inteen for Apartment Life, rather a small package of mods to enable young adults and ONLY young adults to have families at home or at college. The new series does not enable teen pregnancy period.

I wish I knew about this mod two days ago. I haven't moved them into a dorm, so they haven't aged to young adult yet. Is it too late to use a teleporter to pull them back from the Uni bin and use this, or will something implode?

I fixed the problem with sims aging to adult on hobby lots.

You know... I don't think anyone has done that before. I suggest you try this and let us know if this works with you using a teleporter to recall them back to your home lot, BUT.. I would think it might cause problems if they already used the "Move To College" option and more or less aged into young adults there, but not yet placed on a dorm lot.

There should be no problem teleporting them back.  Nothing happens on aging until you take teens out of the sim bin.  If by chance you did move a sim in that you wanted to use CMP on, you could teleport him or her back also and continue on.

For the record, I tried it both ways. I teleported an unaged teen sim back from the bin with no problems, as well as a YA sim already living in a house on campus. Both are progressing normally and nothing has imploded yet. *knock wood*

No, I don't think they can visit any Uni 'hood if they're living at home in the main 'hood. They can join the secret society through other means such as TJ's College Tester at Simbology (http://www.simbology.com) or the Insimenator mod available here. I think that's about it for joining the secret society. If I find another mod that allows your Sims to join the secret societies without leaving their homes, I will list those mods.

-I was wondering if I could use the nomemoryuneducated and the nowantsatisfyuneducated mods ALONE without the other few mods in your pack. Do these two depend on the others to function? If I apply those two and delete the other files, will my game freak out?
-I'm asking because I've been looking for a mod that lets my sims age from teen to adult (skipping college) without getting a bad memory and crying for a week.
-But I also wouldn't want to cause a crash/infinite error message loop..  :p

Can't download. Bummer. I sent a message at his site so hopefully I can get this. I usually don't play YA's and College but for some reason I'm feeling froggy and will when my sim kids are ready.

He shut down that thread when he heard about Inteen-AL being updated by someone else. Madcat had done a really great job updating Inteen for Apartment Life. You can get the fully functioning Inteen now at Simbology and play with Squinge's college mods like always.

Just direct your Inteen questions to Simbology because we don't provide support for mods not hosted on the site.

Olivia Spector is a YA at her home lot, but the bar keeps saying, "48 hours till exam". It's stuck, for some reason.

Olivia earned all of her study points within one day, it's just a bit of a bummer she can't even do her exam now. xD

It is a known fact that on home lots in regular neighborhoods, the YA's semester clock do not run down from 72 hours to 0 hours. A college semester tester (gold apple spawned off the Sim by shift+clicking and having the testing cheat enabled) is needed to turn on the semester clock to run down from 72 hours to 0 hours like on a normal dorm lot.

Can't really say if there is a conflict between the two mods because for one, semester clocks don't run down from 72 hours to 0 hours on normal lots outside the Uni 'hoods by design (both the game and Squinge's part) and for two, the mod from MTS2 does not affect normal lots where the YA lives on in the normal 'hood theoretically.

You can ask if the mod only affects Uni lots at MTS2.

Oh, I downloaded the Semester Tester a while ago to made it easier for myself! I never even noticed that option. :\ Sorry!

Same difference. The downloaded object is easier to locate in Buy Mode than to find the object to spawn on a myriad of options off the selected Sim.  ;D

Can I still have students on the campus with this mod in place?
I am currently playing a neighbourhood which I would like to keep small and don't want to add a campus (+ dormies + professors). This is only for a break before returning to my ordinary neighbourhood where I have several students currently living in dormers. I does sound as if this creates an alternative for students and still leaves the normal options of moving to college, but I would like to know before I corrupt my regular neighbourhoods.

Yes, you can. You don't have to attach a campus if you don't want to.

Yes, it is supposed to happen for your teen to age up into an YA from a birthday cake. Did you use Squinge's birthday cake because it is supposed to be a standalone clone of the actual birthday cake bought from Buy Mode and should not override the original cake.

I also just had a teen grow into a YA using a Celebration stuff Birthday cake. I do indeed have the YA cake but that was not the one I was using.  :confused:
So does this mod change it to where the default is that teens grow into YAs, and the YA Cake keeps them from doing this? I read it the other way around, then.
I then used Simlogical's Cake and the sims aged into a just about-to-die elder! I paused and aged her down into an adult, and then pondered what the ramifications of that might be, and then quit without saving.'
I only had a handful of sims that geographically live very near to a college so I thought it would be nice if they could live with their parents and commute to school. I'm hoping I can figure out proper use of this hack.

Downloaded Mega Pack; have question about aging from teen to ADULT. Read instructions to mean that the special cake had option to age-to-adult, but it does not.  After reading last few posts, I tried just letting a teen age with NO cake - they aged to Young Adult. So, how do I have a teen age to adult? And then how to make them be OK with not attending college, the apple? I tried letting them (via differant ways) age to YA, then use cake to age to adult (without using apple to "start class"), but they have memory of college. What I am trying for is ageing from teen to adult, with no college, and no whinning about it. Also am concerned that - whither they went or not, whither they actually completed or "graduated" before completed - all skills become maxed! Is THAT supposed to happen.

You can also use Sim Blender from Simbology to age your Sims to a certain lifestage or even age them down. The birthday cake works for me, but sometimes I don't want my teens to age up to YAs and just use Sim Blender to age them to Adults instead.

The HDCU brings up a conflict between this and Pescado's nouniprotect.

Does one of them need to load last or are they incompatible?

It doesn't necessarily mean they conflict, just that they alter the same game behavior; however, if you are having a problem, I would try running your game without one of them and see if it fixes the problem.

I was having a problem with Sims studying from home not being able to use the bookcase to research. Loading this hack after Pescado's seems to have fixed that, but I just wanted to make sure that I hadn't overwritten something important.

The mod is great. But I noticed 2 problems . Young adult Sims can't throw a gradutation party after they graduate and second, college influence actions are not enabled in this mod,for example a YA Sim can't influence someone to write his/hers term paper or  to do an  assigment. is there a way to fix this?
