I am so horrible when it comes to naming my Sims. On the alien Sim I did, someone gave me a link to naming guide online, and I came up with a whole history just by using that. His name, home Planet, and Star System. All I had to do was, fill in the blanks. That was easy. For me, I have a huge book that I picked up that has names from all over. It's 574 pages of (over 30,000) names broken down by country and gender. Each entry has its origin, meaning, variants and pronunciation. I love it. It's actually a baby name book, but I got for my writing to help me come up with suitable names for my characters.
