Title: Phone Line Controller Post by: Jasumi on November 12, 2008, 06:04:25 pm After I installed Apartment Life, any lot that was created before EP8 goes into an infinite loop unless I turn testingcheats on and delete the phone line. When I build a new lot from scratch I do have this issue. I think it has something to do with saved data. Answering phones also resets the sim, and I can not "manage groups" anymore, it only takes me straight to the call sim options.
Anyone else have this annoying issue? What was your solution? Title: Phone Line Controller Post by: Squinge on November 12, 2008, 06:10:17 pm It sounds like you are using a phone hack that isn't compatible with AL.

I used Clean Installer to search for hacks, and none apply to the phone line. I did see a few labeled as "careers" and with a hyphen in their name description. I figured these were the culprit, but no luck.

For some reason Pescado's phone hack was named in my downloads folder as: d1cb0b87b2e68b6d11643cefaa10e076_0001 It must have come with a house I downloaded. I think you should put this file name in a sticky so that others can find it. Phoneline errors seem to be a very common issue with Apartment Life. Ive downloaded a few houses..and now im getting the same phone lone controller error, as well as my sims getting error messages, and then having to be reset. I looked in my downloaded, and possibly a house i downloaded had the same phone hack..but i looked up what it was in your folder Jasumi, but i have something labeled

Title: Phone Line Controller Post by: jackie202 on November 13, 2008, 03:53:16 pm I opened it in simpe, and it was the phone line controller. so i closed simpe, and just right clicked it and selected delete. was that right? was i supposed to do it someother way? its still in my recylce bin, so i could restore it if i needed too.
