18 recolors of shadylady482's short nail mesh. They're all a little shiny (since polished nails generally are shiny), and they're textured to look frosted when they're not reflecting light. Some colors are more frosty than others. The colors are designed to be like the colors you find at your corner drugstore.

The shiny settings will export if you clone one of my recolors. If you want to make any very light recolors, I strongly recommend that you clone the "vanilla milkshake" nail set. I turned down the reflections on that one just a tad, since the light colors tend to throw shine more than the darker colors.

The color chart is of the nails in indirect light.

For the Natural Redhead Project: 20 retextures/recolors of melodie9's all-ages adaption of Maxis' short messy hair. The textures aren't perfect, but they're a huge improvement over the Maxis textures, so I hope you'll like them.

These are all color-binned, made with Legacy BodyShop, and grouped in the same family (which means the mesh doesn't "drop" if you switch hair colors).

If you want to download all the colors in one go, they are packed in the "alkaloid_hair_melodie9shortmessy_ALLCOLORS" file (it's just below the halfway point in the list). If you want to pick and choose, all of the individual hair files have also been packed separately. The colors are listed in the file names.

Colors:

Reds: Dark Auburn (with brown eyebrows), Auburn, Titian Red, Ginger, and Strawberry Blonde.
Blonds: Dark Ash Blonde, Beach Blonde, Ash Blonde, Champagne Blonde and Platinum Blonde.
Browns: Dark Brown, Chocolate Brown, Cool Brown and Light Brown.
Blacks: Warm Black (a black with subtle brown highlights) and True Black.
Custom: Olive Drab, Rich Blue, White and Bright Turquoise.

Please don't ask me to remember precisely which grey goes with which natural color. I know I did a white, a silver grey, and a middling warm grey. They roughly correspond to how light or dark the original hair color was. I also did a dark "salt and pepper" for the True Black elder color.

White and Olive Green have the same color for all ages. White has Blonde eyebrows, and Olive Green has brown eyebrows.

The Bright Turquoise color is Champagne Blond for toddlers and children, and white for elders.

The Rich Blue color is Cool Brown for toddlers and childen, and is grey for elders.

For the Natural Redhead Project: 4 recolors/retextures of Maxis' basic moustache. It's a base game item, so it should be usable by anyone. I'm not a fan of this look, so I just made 4 colors. I probably wouldn't have made these, except I noticed I could reuse the texture from my set of wispy beards, and there is a facial hair shortage going on.

So.

They're not perfectly groomed at all. I made the alpha scruffy since the existing moustache retextures are mostly very neat-looking, and I frankly see more guys with scruffy moustaches than neatly waxed and trimmed moustaches. These are all color-binned, and made with Legacy BodyShop. Binning basically means that you won't have to slog through all the reds, blondes, and browns if you're looking for the black one for your black-haired sim. I didn't make a family group because I'm not quite sure if family groups work the same way for facial hair as they do for regular hair (or if it's something that makes the game go kablooie, like trying to make costume makeup layerable).

Colors:

Red: Auburn.
Blond: Beach Blond.
Brown: Chocolate Brown.
Black: Warm Black (a black with subtle brown highlights).

The auburn and blond shades have white for the elder hair color. The brown and black shades have grey for their elder hair color.

Three skintones for N8ive sims: Desert Jasper, Hawaiian Sunrise, and Washed Copper. They are all binned, and will work with the game's genetics. Desert Jasper, the lightest, is binned at 0.3. 0.3 is the same level as Maxis light. Washed Copper, the darkest, is binned at 0.6. 0.6 is the same level as Maxis medium. Hawaiian Sunrise is binned between the two, at 0.45. As you can see from the attached images, the skins appear darker and more coppery in "indoor" light, and lighter with strong golden highlights in "outdoor" light.


These skintones are demi-matte, meaning that they are somewhere between Maxis matte and the common shiny-style skins. They are also not overly-modelled, in order to give the skins a more natural, fleshy appearance. All three fitness states have individual textures, and the elders have wrinkles.  The child, toddler, and baby body skins were also retextured. The nails are a natural shade of pink, and there are nipples on both genders, but no crotch detail.

Additionally, the skins are based on Louis' skins, although I have aggressively retextured them, and it may not be apparent at first glance. The teen-elder male skins are the closest to Louis' originals out of all the textures.

Finally, I used high-quality images for the textures. This makes the files about twice the size of normal skin files. Unfortunately, the coppery undertones in these skins cause pixelization to happen at a much more dramatic rate than in olive-toned or rosy skins, leaving giant crumbly bright orange-colored streaks across the skins. This is the only way I've found around it. As a result, I will not make smaller-file versions of these colors, and I really don't want to hear about it!

ETA! bstard7 has made skintone changer vials for this set, per request of someone who was working on a n8ive neighborhood. If you want to permanently change a sim's skintone with SimPE, there's information about that posted at http://www.hairysims.com.

They are additional genetic components, that will not override the existing defaults. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

4 extra-dark eye colors: brown/black hazel, black/green hazel, dark brown/blue hazel, and very dark grey. They seem black from a distance, but the different colors give variety at close range. They were designed with Native American sims in mind, but they are really appropriate for any ethnic group.

Please note that these are TOWNIE-FRIENDLY eyes, and will be available to the game in addition to the default 5 eye colors to use whenever it randomly generates a sim, including the dice roll in CAS. The default sims were designed by Maxis with pre-selected eye colors; they will not be affected by these files.

Also note that these eyes are binned to work with the genetics of the game. Black/green hazel, dark brown/blue hazel, and brown/black hazel were all left at the most dominant setting. Dark grey was binned one step down, at the less dominant setting. There are a total of 5 dominance settings in the game.
