|
on: November 07, 2006, 02:39:16 pm
|
After a painting by Hans Holbein the Younger Jane Seymour was the third wive of Henry VII (1536-1537) She may have first come to court in the service of Queen Catherine, but then was moved to wait on Anne Boleyn as she rose in the King's favor and eventually became his second wife She died on October 24th, just two weeks after her son Edward was born. For her clothes you will need the mesh from Sims-2-Fashion http://www.sim2-fashion.de/datenbank/include.php?path=content/download.php&contentid=722 Unfortunately there was no possibility to make a convincing hat, due to the lack of mesh. So I’m sorry…the one on the pic is only a photoshop paste Anyway, I hope you like it!

One more from the Paintings theme: The Blue Boy Thomas Gainsborough (1727-1788) was one of the most famous portrait and landscape painters of 18th century Britain. The Blue Boy (c. 1770) is an oil painting by Thomas Gainsborough that now resides in the Huntington Library, San Marino, California. Perhaps Gainsborough's most famous work, it is thought to be a portrait of Jonathan Buttall, the son of a wealthy hardware merchant You will need the "boy pilgrim" mesh from All-About_Style http://www.all-about-style.com/themes_holiday.html Hope you like it and, as always, comments and suggestions are very welcomed

As for the female angel, ghostboy, no it only works with the athlete mesh. But I can converted for the normal Maxis body (and probably a mesh...or it will not have BumpMaps and looses definition...) I'll post it here..probably tomorrow.. ;o)

Retired Creators / Alexasrosa's Fantasies / Heracles and Hebe

Hi all As I said earlier, my son has been bravely fighting a cancer for these last few months, so I came out with the idea of the Warriors series, in honour of the millions of unknown warriors around the world. Next Tuesday he will undergo a major surgery. So I thought of making something that would embody all that everyone that is fighting a major illness, and all that love them, need in these moments: strength, joy, love and hope. To symbolise those feelings I chose two couples: Heracles (roman Hercules) and his wife Hebe, goddess of Youth and two Warrior Archangels. I hope you enjoy them. All comments, critics and suggestions are very welcomed.:love2: Heracles (Hercules) defender of mankind against chaos, the son of Zeus, the strongest and mightiest man that has ever lived, was one of the first of the Greek gods to be worshipped by the Romans. Heracles was driven mad by Hera and forced to murder his wife and children. In order to atone for his sin, he visited the oracle of Delphi and was instructed to submit to twelve labours. Heracles accomplished them all, and many others including the release of Prometheus from bondage. He is the defender of mankind against the forces of evil, the god of physical strength, courage and sexual power (both homo and heterosexual). He had many lovers and married 4 times, the last of which of Hebe (Juventas) the Goddess of Youth. He is usually depicted with a lion skin, from the lion of Nemeia, his first work. Some scholars believe that this tradition of brought from Babylonian and are, therefore, of Zoroastrian origin. Although it is agreed that there were seven Archangels, there has been some debate on who the seven were. Most accounts name, Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, the remaining three are generally chosen from Metatron, Remiel, Sariel, Anael, Raguel and Raziel. I loved your post and I thank you very much for trying to explain Muslim costumes to the world.
Right now I’m a bit tired of the media “forcing” people to see part of the world as bad, just because they think or act or believe differently.
I love difference! That is one of the reasons I started my site – to make clothes of as many different countries and traditions as I could find. Some of them are difficult to make because of the meshes, but I managed to get quite a few.
Anyway, a year ago I was invited to be a part of a project to make modest wear, suitable both for Muslim or Jewish women. The project stopped, so I have quite a few clothes with nowhere to go. I also made some traditional Palestinian clothes. Ah… and my Turkish bride has a embroidered Hijab
I don't know...maybe someone is interested in them....
Thank you again for your post!
