I really really REALLY hate the fact that they obsess over feeding babies. Like, that's all they ever do when they have a baby, and I'm like WHAT? STOP IT.
Whenever I play TS1, I never take it seriously, and I let them die or whatever. In the Sims, I rarely kill a Sim or intentionally make it miserable. Every once and a while, though, a Sim will just get on my nerves SO MUCH that I have to make them suffer somehow.
My sister, however, always tries to do everything right and raise her Sims properly, but she ends up failing at that, and they end up dead or miserable. Hahaha.
I haven't used that card, but the card I currently use is a VisionTek Raedon X1950 Pro/256 MB of RAM. I. LOVE. That card. How old is your PC? Mine is going to be 2 years this Christmas, and it's handling things fine. I upgraded a lot, so I'm not sure if RAM is an issue.
Also, I haven't tried to use nVidia, but I am pretty noble to ATI, so yeah. And, the card I'm using cost a pretty penny, so if money is an issue, that card is not the way to go. Even though it works like a DREAM with TS2, even when you turn on/up all of the features.
Hahaha, I was freaked out when I saw the penguin. And then it was cute, so it was alright and I didn't have to throw my computer out of the window out of sheer terror.
Sometimes, I used to get really frustrated with my Sims, so I would just find a way to destroy their lives, which would ultimately result in death.
Also, I would sometimes move in a family of 8 to an empty lot, and provide the very bare minimum for survival, and see how long it takes for them to crack. I'd make it into a game. Whoever is the least happiest at the end of three days or so gets killed. Last one standing gets a satellite dropped on them.
This is a great mod. I don't know why the Artist, Show Biz, etc... don't show up without this mod after you install another EP (other than University), but I'm glad this fixes it.
