Do you have any cheats,hacks  installed? That may be your problem and is the lot/house you are making a downloaded lot? It may be a problem with the downloaded lot.I have downloaded lots and had them crash,show up blinking blue grapics,crash the game. Try a new lot house use the houses in the sims game.Just add onto them.

install Sims clean pack installer,click on hacks only and disable your cheats, one by one untill you find the bug. Its hacks causing this, and maybe a startup cheat in your configuration folder to mim on start up

I couldn't see fish in tanks type boolProp useShaders true  it worked for me, now I can see the fish in tanks.But I am having a problem my sims cant fish,I click on a pond and it just says go here. The pond is deep enough and has fish jumping up out of it...
