usually a creation focus more to glorify his creator instead on serving the users, like a government that makes a palace. the sexiest! most modern! more elegant than anyone else's... "wow, who created this???" but are those marvels really going to be useful to the user that comes to The Sims with the intention of playing a 3D video game that tries to reflect reality as close as possible? (the structure, animations, and visuals of The Sims are fantastic) if that person is new, just find out about The Sims, it's gonna play it just like it is, later he's gonna find out it can download stuff from the internet. what does he find? golden creations!! so the first intention that he had of playing that life simulator game has become more separated from reality, so The Sims is now... something else.. The Sims original idea is lost. sometimes we have to design for the everyday person, as close as reality as possible, to help enhance that life simulation experience the best! we have to help the intention of the game.
Thank you very much for the close approach to reality! you helped The Sims ( they look so comfortable! =) )
