Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / Apartment Life- EP 8?

It's awesome. I'm building up a whole city for years now, and everyone has his own charakter, his own story, his own family and traditions, his own job and intererests, his own biography, and when those individuals meet in the park, what do they do? Throwing waterballons and dancing the hula dance... the 80 years old mayor, the 0-points-playful general- the only person not behavin like a child is Mrs. Crumplebotton. Thanks, EA. Don't want to know what appartment life does my town. Although I think things cannot become worse, but that's what I thought after EP1 and EP 2 and...

Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / Apartment Life- EP 8?

Well, sounds much more interesting than EP7. But if they really want to make me happy, they should release some kind of great-complete-overall-patch for all EP's. Or some kind of real-life-fix with adults behaving like adults again (and not pillowfighting all the time, for example) or even "more" adult, it's time for sims to get drunken and smoking cigarettes and taking drugs and having real problems (instead of wants like "buy me a toy" and "wanna play on the couch").

The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / The Sims 3 buzz/gossip/rumours

Don't know what to think about that. It sounds great, it looks ok, but after all I'm afraid to get a strange mixture of sim city societies and a some kind of light-version of the sims 2, and you'll need a computer with 16 GHz and a 1024-MB-Video-Card to play it for five minutes until the first bluescreen. I'm also afraid of 500 sims looking at me and screaming "I cannot go to bed now, I'm too tired".

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / List your Bon Vonyage bugs and compatabilty issues
|

My list so far:
- graphic errors caused by nvidia+vista, can be toggled off by switching reflections off and restarting the game, than turning reflections ON again. Don't forget to toggle them OFF before leaving the game. Instead of restarting you can also type "vsync off" in the cheat box, then "vsync on" again. It's not logical, but it works as if it were....
- people start dancing the group dances where it's coming to their mind, not in the room where the music is. Quite annoying in discos or partys, because there's still a high chance that they got struck by lightning outside.
- overall there's no specific behaviour left- what I mean is, that serious, neat persons behave just the same way like playful, messy sims do. Elders behave like childs, childs behave more serious than their parents (ever saw an adult read the newspaper the last time? My kids do so, while their parents are playing in the sand at the beach or throwing water baloons). That's really annoying, because I like to *watch* the game, not only commanding them to do what I want.
That isn't a bug, but watching my sims on the lot, I sometimes guess that the next EP ist something like "Gone Crazy"- build your own sanatory, become a psychatrist and help your sims out of their mania.
----- sorry for raping the English language;)

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Can Bigfoot Be more then Just A Family Member?
|
on: September 27, 2007, 05:52:44 am

Damn, until now I was sure to find a female bigfoot one day on the mystery lot. Sure there isn't one? He has helped my sim-family to become and rich and beautiful, and now he'll stay alone until he dies?! This can't be true. That's so unfair. And I want to have baby-bigfoots or I'll never play this game again

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Uncontrolled sims on vacation

If you don't ask them to do so, the don't swim at the beaches. Don't know why- there are so many other important things to do- dancing in the rain, although the station is inside the house, for example. Because someone started this dance three days ago. I've a home buisiness where they are dancing since one week now, with changing personal. They don't eat. They don't talk. They are dancing. Someone's going home, another one enters the lot, he pays, then he starts dancing. Well, noone complains anymore, it's not so bad at all.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / This game is kinda boring :(
|

Three;) Instead of behaving like idiots some times, they are behaving now like idiots 24 hours a day, starving and peeing on the floor because they have to dance and tai-chi and all the other wonderful stuff they learnde on vacation- and it's spreading like a plague through the whole neighbourhood. And it's a real cheap EP- there's no expansion in the game, you've seen all that before, - only because it happens in a new neighbourhood and costs much more simoleons, it's nothing new. I like the beaches, that's the only thing I find useful. I'm really angry because- as usual- you can't play the other expansions anymore. No pets allowed, no buisiness allowed, I wonder that it's possible to date there, but who wants to do that with those ugly thing running around- cheap made as everything there.
What I also got are really interesting, exciting new bugs and errors. For only 29,99€! Great.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Too Many Boy Babies...
|
on: July 31, 2007, 04:40:12 pm
|
I'm not sure if there are any laws for the baby's gender, but if there's one, I can't recognize it- I "insimenated" two generations for my new neighborhood (First there were 4 males and 4 females who married), and the first generation were 10 (!) girls and 4 boys- I added 6 males for marriage;) - the 2nd generation were 8 girls and 16(!) boys. So I got two absolute different (and strange) results without any hacks, cheesecake etc.- but all together it's 20:18 for the boys, which is not so annoying....
