She is sooo cute!  Although I do wish she came with Helga's hair.  Helga's site is gone and that hair didn't get saved to the Sims 2 Graveyard.

No, I have everything up to Unleashed,  I don't think Freetime is even available for Macs yet.  You're right I meant Pets!  Sorry, I guess it just helps show how distracted the problem has me!

When I went into my game today, my Sims didn't have an aspiration icon, memories, skills, or personalities. I tried deleting the neighborhood manager, the groups.cache, and the accessory.cache, but that didn't help.  I tried loading a Maxis made neighborhood and it was fine, but my custom neighborhoods were still borked.  I reloaded several times and even tried without the downloads in.  I've had this happen before, but I deleted something and it went  back to normal again.  Any ideas?

What type of CC file was causing your problems?  I've had the same problems recently after downloading a couple Sims and a couple of lots.  My photos weren't showing up and then sometimes when I went back in the game I had the same problem of placing a lot and having it show up empty!

Sometimes it helps to take most of your downloads out, except for any with hair, skins, makeup, etc that you want to use while making new Sims.  It reduces loading time and conflicts!  Just make sure you remember to put them back in before you load the game!

I'm sorry to be a pest, I don't know if I should post this in one of the help areas, but it's specifically about this mesh.  Up until recently I've used this mesh and loved it, but now when my bodybuilder gets an outfit with this mesh it's normal sized and changed around the feet.  Is it not compatible with Seasons or Pets or is it something else?

Thanks, Beosboxboy.  I actually increased the file limit right after I got the game and University, around a year ago.  In my first (and only Veronaville) I actually hadn't played more than the original generation growing up and having kids.  I did however do a couple of things that might have helped the game stretch it's resources - I added a bunch of sims right off the bat and then added more along the way - both in CAS and with adding Nightlife and OFB.  I also resurrected the recently dead Montys' and Capps'.  Sigh.  Now I'm just trying to get rid of anything that might possibly cause the game to crash or freeze, so hopefully I won't have much corrupting any data.  It's those beautiful bodybuilders, I just can't help myself!  

I'm starting to feel like you, Rosidbon.  I had put my backup of my neighborhoods back in, then had problems again.  Then I added Pets and now I have Seasons and I think they might have added new problems.  I started having the game freeze in Bodyshop when I was switching from say makeup to face mask (even without any downloads in the game) just randomly, so every now and then I had to force quit and lo and behold I lost all my Sims again!  I decided to start over, uninstalled, reinstalled, just started a new custom neighborhood.  I was in Bodyshop, making a new family and the game crashed.  The next time I went in, it crashed on trying to load that neighborhood.  I took out all my downloads, slowly putting them back in, testing with a maxis neighborhood, go back to my custom neighborhood and all those sims are gone!  Argh!!!!

He is beautiful!  But lacking Bon Voyage and playing on a Mac without Clean Installer he won't work for me. *pout*  He is gorgeous though, wonderful work!

I think I am going to have to reinstall the game some time soon and don't want to reinstall all my favorite downloaded Lots. (i.e. figure out which zip or rar is which lot and wait forever for the game to load them back in!)  Does anybody know where they are hidden so I can, hopefully, just copy the file.  Thanks much!

Thanks for trying!  I never did figure out what had happened.  I ended up going back to my saved game, now I backup a little more frequently.  A lot of the things I read made it sound like it was related to OFB, so I got Pets!

Hey, thanks for the link!  I just got Pets, so I had been looking too, but I could only find the Season's patch.  I hadn't decided if I was going to patch it or not, but all the Sims go black when they take a shower and I don't have any of my downloads, hacks, or mods in. I'm going to try patching it and hope my games continues to work okay!
