1  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / More problems...doors and aging on: November 13, 2008, 08:09:12 am
I am having door issues big-time.  Any apartment will come up with an error.  Looking at the apartment lots makes errors.  And I've got some funky thing about aging happening.  My game is set for the "allmenus on" so I've got the error logs.  I've tried moving all of my door hacks out of my downloads folder, updating the insimenator to the current 2.9 version and removing basically every BHAV hack.  Posting logs...holds up...

Okay, I think I got the right ones.  I ran this game for the first time last night (even though I have stacks of work to do right now) and the number of error logs stands at 54.  I gave up after trying to explore the old neighborhood and trying out the new one.

Also, where the bleep did all my bodyshop downloads go?  Is this another AL issue?  I have my files put in folders by content and all the files in my "clothing and genetics" folder have disappeared.  Only the ones that were still in my unsorted folder and the ones I made myself with Body Shop are still in the game.  It sucks because I have to re-download a lot of files for my machinima projects.  :smt120

謝謝你!  好勵害啊!

(for our pinyin readers: "xie4 xie4 ni3!  hao3 li4 hai4 a3!"... for non-Chinese readers: "Thank you!  Very adept work!"... for our simplified Chinese readers: :tongue6: )

I am going to use this to build a mini-Chinese museum, nothing like the National Palace Museum here in Taipei, but a nice little place for simmies to visit while on the Asian destination lot.

4  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / anyone else NOT having problems? on: February 03, 2008, 06:45:30 am
I've had BV for a few months and it works like "smoove creamy budda".  I think the forest thing is boring, but it provided the perfect pieces for creating the rustic log cabin in a forested lot that my soap opera is based on (which in turn is based on the song I chose for its theme song).  I'm thinking of sending my characters off to the mountain resort as a holiday special so the family patriarch can recover from his poisoning in a revenge plot against one of his daughters.  The poison was meant for the daughter as revenger for humiliating the antagonist for taking the guy they both liked (the antagonist's best friend did it).

I like a lot of the things from this program.  I think it's one of the better ones and the clothes and new interactions they added are very nice for moviemaking.

I had two little hiccups with the new version of the inSIMenator.  I had one crash, but that was totally my fault.  I went a little crazy putting an extra in the hospital scenes through to the third trimester and then changing her clothes to regular everyday wear which caused it to crash.  Another time, I lost my three of my stars' faces when I turned them into teens for a flashback and then tried to make them adults again. But other than that, I've had no problems.  I can't wait for Free Time.  My junior high ESL kids and I talk about the game all the time.
5  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Travel like a ninja...:) on: November 05, 2007, 07:32:12 am
Sweet.  I was screaming swear words at my sims for being too slow to catch him.  Now my sims can rebuild their self-esteem and my heart rate can go back to normal!

I wonder if I can get the ninja to teach at my residential school...  Teach the kids to transport so they don't have to use the stairs to get to their classes.
