I use very little mods or addons, i never used inteen or the insim, only a bit of walls/floors, not even any custom hair (shocking i know) would the insim mess up anything in my game?

anyway i have another question.


i made my 3rd group of sims today, 2 adults man and woman, the idea was to try for baby with the woman and have a human kid, and also get the man abducted and have a alien kid, the woman gave birth to TWINS (no hacks or cheats) lol..

but, the man is still preggers with the alien? waaaaaay longer then he should be, he got abducted way before the woman even gave birth, is it a bug? how to fix it?

Sup guys, i just got nightlife 2 days ago, having lots of fun with it, i actually started a real town this time and i am trying to make a long generation of families.

But i am wondering something about genetics.

1: does custom skins, eyes, and hair pass on to a sim born ingame? say i have a male and female adult sim, 1 on them has shiny long blue hair, the other has shiny long metallic red hair, they have a baby, will the baby use default maxis hair still? or will it have red or blue hair when it reaches a toddler?

2: Today i had my first alien baby ingame (WOOHOO finally) my single male sim got abducted, came back preggers, gave birth to an adorable male alien baby, normal green skin, big black eyes, face shaped like the adult dad, then he reached the toddler stage, became a bit ugly, funny looking eyes, wiered shaped face, just a bit, but then he looked good again when he reached child     but what i am wondering, is without any mods or hacks to change it, how will babies turn out if my alien male makes a baby with a normal female when he is older? some sort of hybrid with very pale green skin, big but normal color eyes, etc? or just either pure alien, or pure human?


last thing i am wondering is what is the best way to take nice pics of my current ingame sims? my ingame snapshots always look horrible because of camera angles.

Ok, so i will be getting the nightlife expansion, after comparing every single one, it seems to me that nightlife is most worth it, so i will get it.

But i am wondering a few things. (some about nightlife, and some not)

1: i got tons of mods installed, and some hacks, should i uninstall (delete the whole download folder) and reinstall everything AFTER i install nightlife?

2: Ok, i notice with just sims 2, i have an option to make a community lot, what is that for if i have no expansions yet exactly?

3: How well do general mods work with nightlife? like say the bodybuilder stuff, hair styles, skintones, house objects, etc.

4: While looking at a tutorial on how to build something once, i noticed in the persons buildmode list that they had a few extra things, mainly more sets of stairs, and this other thing in the foundation section, not sure, but i think i saw it used once to make an indoor pool, it's like a normal foundation, except it is placed ontop of a foundation, to make something like a platform in a house? how do you get these things? an expansion?

5: last question, after i install nightlife, when i want to play how does it work? do i load up the nightlife cd/dvd instead of the sims2 one and play with that, meaning using the nightlife cd/dvd to play sims 2 + nightlife?


sorry for all the questions, but they have been driving me nuts for a while, i'd like answers to all 5 if possible

hmm, thats the odd part, even in say the gothic set, some seats work, but the tables dont, thats what i meant.

i put them all in the right folder, and i always check for anything about an expansion, and never see anything, do they think everyone has every expansion and dont need to say you need them?

cause i have no expansions now, even in some tutorial pics i see things that are not in my game, but not something like a mod, like more stairs, different foundations (the one that you can put in a house to make a level higher? what ep is that in?)

Ok guys, after a file made my game crash a few times i ended up having to reinstall all the mods i got from here a few times, i even redownloaded them.

So now i have installed a bunch of stuff again, a few furniture sets, some wall coverings and floor's, and some things like the female BB mesh, huge BB mesh, etc.

But now some things just wont show up ingame, say for example i downloaded a gothic set with tables, chairs, etc, some of the parts work (just the 2 couches) some are there (tables) but wont work, meaning they are in the list, but i cant place them anywhere, and some just wont show up.

i got some wicked sci fi stuff like a TV and a computer, the TV shows up ingame and works, but the computer doesnt, i got those sci fi pillers and arch, they dont show up ingame.

any ideas why some work and some dont?

i know some files say they need to be put in the collections folder, but that doesnt seem to work either, is there any kind of faq that exactly tells you where to put what file, and if you need to put the whole folder, or just take the files out of the folder and put them alone?

please help, sorry for the annoying post.

its not crashing anymore, i found out it was one file i got from here, a living room set O.o

anyway, as i put stuff back into the Downloads folder, only buildmode stuff is showing up ingame (floors tiles, wallpaper, etc) but anything in buy mode (tables, etc) does not show up, only one thing showed up, a table and chair set, the chair works, but i cannot place the table anywhere, any ideas?

i will redo all the downloads better and see if they work good again.

also, i am trying to figure what exactly what i need to download to get the huge bodybuilder, like the base download, which files exactly are for it?

yup, its the Downloads folder, hmm..


i installed some bar sets, which they did not say you need any expansion pack for, and some furniture sets.

what could it be? only things right now showing up is genetic stuff, and buildmode stuff, maybe i should reinstall?

problem is i deleted everything in the downloads folder, and started installing mods little by little (it was a mod set from here that makes it crash)

and now only "build mode" downloads work (walls, floors) but anything i install that is in buy mode (chairs, tables, bars) does not show up in the buy options when i look, i tried many different kinds, is it possible i deleted something that i was not suppose to in the download folder?

Sup guys, i am wondering, i found this site today, and went bonkers downloading custom stuff for sims 2, they were fine for a while, but at one point i downloaded about 50 things and installed them non stop, without checking how they work ingame like i did at first, now when i try to play, after the intro with the kids dancing i get a crash messege.

is it from constant downloads one after the other?
