The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Re: Writing a report for Law Enforcement career help?

Did you question that specific sim or did you find out about the traits in the usual get to know/chat talking? Questioning a sim will have your sim pull out a notebook and take notes while the opposite sim is talking. I think you still have to do that question despite already knowing all what there is to be known. And it requires a quite positive relationship to the questioned sim or they will turn you down.
Afterwards, have your sim sit on the computer/laptop and check the writing submenu.
Personally, I didn't have any success yet writing a report after searching trash cans.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Any german Simmers out there?

Telling from their imprint, they intended to collect links to other sites on the net instead of offering content. To register, you are supposed to give away your name, your full address, age and optionally your phone number. But for what? Obviously all they have to offer is a horribly outdated (because it's dealing with the H&M Stuff pack) "magazine".
Yet it's the "Shop" option that is almost ridiculous... nothing to offer, but they plan on selling stuff, great.
EDIT: Did a quick research ... the page seems to be associated with the release of an official Sims 2 magazine - hence the name - in Germany. Such a paper is already published in Spain and a printed issue of the German version was offered at a recent game convention. There is also a French edition of that concept.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Sharks?

Windkeeper actually has shark dorsal fins and several fake shark models in one set. They don't do anything, but if you just want them for the look... for a certain level of horror

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / missing child faces

I think it's standard game behaviour that was present since the base game. If a sim never really entered the lifestage you age them to, the game can't find any data for the new face.
Did you try to change appearance yet?

Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Pictures / Pretty Sims - Post ALL your beautiful females HERE!

Missloaf; I really like the second picture. Reminds me of Elizabeth Swan or whatever her name is (aka Kira Knightley) from PoTC. Like the contrast between the fine beauty of her dress and the pirate hat on her head. She looks lonely. Oh and the girl in the lingerie has a beautiful face. I really like her eye makeup. Looks almost like an ad for Fergie's Candy line. BTW where did you get her nose piercing? Anyways I really really like her. (great job with the photoshopping!!) Thanks! Indeed, I had Lizzie in mind when I took the pics. And I wanted some kind of tribute to Sussi's awesome Pirate dress Gotta go and check where the nose piercing is from... The girl is actually the very same in each pic, just styled differently.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / I don't know what's wrong. . .

You probably should have opened a new thread concerning your problem, but did you already try to reinstall DirectX?
Besides, what driver version did you Geek Squad install? NVidia drivers have provided a pool of problems in the past, until the most recent beta drivers were released.
Last but not least, take the whole machine to Best Buy and ask them to fix it if they screwed up before. Dunno about American warranty law, but you paid for the service, so you may expect it to work.
