Stupid question from me - I have put in custom content..mods.  Is there a way to tell if they're interfereing with Seasons or just disable them all?

I have built a couple of ponds on 2 different lots and I can see the fish but cannot catch them.  I can cursor over the pond and get the little "star" cursur thing (not sure what it is called), but I do not get the choice to fish/fish with worm to start.  I read on the Sims 2 site that my pond might be too deep so I started them over and made them less deep, the fish are there but I still do not get the option to fish.  Any ideas?
