I don't know if this is a glitch or not, but ever since I installed WA, my sims no longer have the collection skill. And they can't get it. Every other skill points (like cooking and charisma, etc) are still there. I didn't have any mods when I installed it and the two that I do now haven't adversely affected the game in any way.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

I'm not entirely sure if this is what kind of tweaking you are referring to, but Delphy at MTS has a slider hack that allows you to change more features on the person to a greater extreme while in CAS. It works for the face as well as the body.

Those links at MTS are good, but do you know of any other files like this that are compatible with all expansion packs? Those linked won't work with Bon Voyage and I would love to have those collection files.

I'm very glad I started reading this thread. I had no idea about the inability to get custom content into the game. I was looking forward to buying this game but that's changed. The thing I love about TS2 and even TS1 (though I haven't played that in years) is the ability to change things in the game. To add new, beautiful, non-Maxis made objects and mods. That's what keeps it exciting. I don't create custom content, since I don't know how nor do I care to learn, but that's what makes the game fun for me. I rarely use the Maxis made objects that come with the game; all the creators here, at MTS2, Parsimonious, etc create far better content than anything Maxis has ever created. I have never bought any stuff pack nor will I because of the aforementioned reason. Not to mention that most of the sites I visit are free; as someone who is unemployed and with a lot of time on her hands, I'm not going to be spending money to download custom objects into a game. I'm very disappointed that EA/Maxis is doing everything they can to get more money out of the Simmmers. I think that is bulls**t and I want nothing to do with it.

So thank you guys. I really appreciate you opening my eyes about this game.  I'm going to keep reading reviews, though, as the game come out. Hopefully things will change in regards to custom content. Though I guess it's not likely...

What if the AL mailbox doesn't show up? For the first week after I had installed the game, it worked fine. Weekly rent got taken out and the mailbox was there, but now its the residential mailbox (even on the Maxis made apartments.) Rent no longer gets taken out either. I went through all my downloads and disabled anything that I had downloaded after that first week, but to no avail. Does any one know what I should do?

Definitely. I would love to see what you can come up with. :-P
